This was my favorite meal of our trip to Maine. The lobster meat was not overcooked and tender. The fried fish was also perfectly cooked as well as all of the other dishes. I will say the lobster nachos were a bit strange and not what I expected, but everything else was a slam dunk.

Came here after coming off a nearby puffins and lighthouse cruise. Loved the outdoor seating on the deck and the views of the harbor! The food was good too. I will say that everything we got felt like it tasted good, but also very "standard" in a way? While nothing super stood out to me as great, it was a really solid taste of some of the Maine vacation musts - clam chowder, lobster roll, blueberry pie!

A great restaurant right on the water with delicious food and wonderful views. Robby was our server and he was the best! The fish sandwich was very good.

We had great service and a nice view at Stewman's, but the food was expensive and didn't really impress us for the price point. In addition to being expensive, some of the menu descriptions seemed misleading. For example, the Cajun shrimp roll claims to be served with Cajun remoulade but seems to have a spicy mayo sauce. The drinks, however, were very tasty- especially the blueberry mojitos and blueberry lemonade.

Neal was a great waiter! He really took great care of us. We were seated up over the water on a deck, but covered. Pleasant breeze while we ate. Burger and fries were excellent. My wife's Lobster Roll was good, though she hadn't expected it served chilled. We didn't know. She was disappointed at the time, but has since learned that's how it's done up here. Mom's salad and Dad's fried seafood platter (name escapes us now) were also good. Bar Harbor's restaurants have tended to be snug, but we were pleased with the space this place offered.

This was my first experience with a lobster roll. Had no flavor despite looking awesome. Came with a group who wasn't super excited about trying seafood like me so we split a whole roll for the table real quick. Server seemed irritated that we weren't ordering more. (We also got an appetizer).

This was unfortunately very average. I got a shrimp roll with sweet potato fries. Maybe the lobster roll would have been the better choice but I just wanted to switch it up a little and try something other than a lobster roll in Maine. They kind of skimped on the shrimp and it was so bland even with the sauce and coleslaw. The fries were pretty bland as well. It's a good location but there are better restaurants around the area for sure.

Good place, I like that is very big, lots of sit down areas and everything was on a good time, our server was helpful and fast, our food was very good, we love the lobster dip so much, the sides options for the plates here were free and they have a few options which we like so much, their lobster was also very good.

Did stop for some lobster here. Very cool place. Right on the water. Perhaps bit touristy but who cares. Busy restaurant offering lobster. Loved it

What I liked about Stewman's was that there's something for everyone, not exclusively lobster, and the location on the water. Everyone working was nice and our server was attentive. Otherwise, I had an average food experience. I got the shrimp roll with sweet potato fries and it was underwhelming. The shrimp is fried and put into the roll, the sauce and coleslaw are on the side so you can put them in. What I had was fine and, I hate to say it, reminiscent of Cane's.

Everything here was delicious. Our server, Calvin, helped steer us in the right direction on the menu options. The blueberry mojitos were flavorful and so good. The steak salad might have even been better than the seafood tower, which is tough to do. I'm going to attempt the recipe at home back on the west coast because I don't know how I can live my life without ever eating that salad again. So good! We sat inside and were able to witness such a gorgeous thunder storm while we ate. 10/10!

We showed up on a Saturday at 5 o'clock end of August and got right in at Annex which is the same menu and attached. Waiters were helpful and kind, amazing people! Live music was going on at 7 but we left right before, awesome vibes doors to the outside open so it was basically an open air concept since it was a beautiful day. Clam chowder: super delicious and passed the spoon test! (I like my chowders thick so a spoon should float on top) Bangin Shrimp: seasoning and sauce were bangin! Great stuff and the buttery grilled flamed pita added a beautiful touch Cadillac fries: crispy fries with melty cheese, hot sauce, bbq sauce, chipotle mayo and toooed with bacon. We inhaled these. Mac + rac: fall off the bone rips and the Mac was killer. Mixed in with street corn added a great change up and all went so well together. Larger shells cooked perfectly and super cheesy, this was a great dish. Highly recommend, wish I could have tried the Blueberry Pie because that looks insane, was way too full after crushing the other dishes and washed down with a blueberry beer and an extra dirty martini!

However, we weren't too tired to eat it, so we had the food delivered from Side Street Cafe. So glad we did it that way cuz it was terrific... and easy to arrange ! My hubby ordered their Cubano sandwich while I ordered a cheeseburger. He loved his Cubano, which came with a side of mac 'n cheese. The mac 'n cheese was light in flavor, I think because of the kind of cheese used. I prefer more flavor, but it wasn't bad either. My( burger was quite large, and it was really tasty... very nicely seasoned beef patty, and it had all the things I like... cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle.... and catsup. I was very happy. It came with fries, but I had my fill of fries with all the lobster rolls I had ordered along the way, so I didn't eat them. Plus, there was a slice of blueberry pie calling out to me, so I wanted to blow my calories with the pie... and so glad I did cuz it was another spectacular piece of blueberry pie. Against my will, I split it with my hubby. Lol. It was a great way to end our meal. (Turns out we never got dinner that night cuz we were so full from such a nice lunch.) Side Street Cafe is definitely going on my radar if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Bar Harbor.

We had been on our Maine trip for almost a week and had been waiting for a while lobster. We both ordered the 1.5-2 lb lobsters. You can pick the out of the tank if you would like. We didn't have the heart to pick out dinner and look it in the eyes. I'm husband just chose the lobster plate which comes with a 1.5-2 lbs lobster and corn on the cob. I opted for the meal. Lobster 1.5lb lobster, cup clam chowder, corn on the cob and "famous" Maine Blueberry pie. Lobsters were good. Definitely couldn't had more than one. As always not enough meat if you're only eating lobster. Corn was tasty. I have mine to my husband, he was still hungry. The clam chowder was ok. I feel like it had been sitting in the pot for a day or so. Really thick and kind of concealed. Not the rich-creamy flavor I was hoping for. Kind of bland. Needed to add hot sauce. I tried a couple bites of the Blueberry pie. Very thick pie filling. Sweet and tasty. Felt like the crust was store bought. Not really flaky or buttery. Overall, good lobster. Touristy. I'd pop in again for a quick bite.

We ordered steamers, fresh of course, so so tender. Kids got fish and chips and chicken tenders. The fry on the fish was crunchy, not greasy, and delicious. Adults got lobster Cobb salad and seafood pie. The seafood pie was outstanding. The lobster Cobb made me miss the lettuce. It was a small side salad size. It was not worth the $42 entree price for it. Overall it's worth trying but don't expect spectacular, and plan to walk out with a tshirt.

We waited over an hour for a large half-pepperoni, half-cheese pizza. The burger and fries we ordered came out in about 30 minutes, but the waitress bringing out the burger said the pizza was coming. Twenty minutes later we inquired again, only to be told they were backed up. We got that message from the 50-minute wait, but when people who ordered pizza after us, received their pizza before we did, we knew this place had issues. When the lady finally brought out the pizza, she was like, "sorry," but big deal, by then the damage was already done. They made no efforts to make it up to us, especially considering we had waited so long. Very disappointing. They really didn't care about our two han-gry (hungry and angry) kids who really wanted to eat that pizza. The restaurant had a fairly steady flow of customers ordering, but it was not crowded or overwhelming. People enjoyed food and drinks around their tables and watching the big screen televisions with trivia and sports updates. Nobody was at the pool table. After waiting so long, my son was trying to be optimistic and said we should play some pool, since no one was playing. Then he saw the big sign that said only 18-year-olds and older, no exceptions! Needless to say, we were sorely disappointed with this experience. For a Monday night, where the pace was not very busy or unmanageable, this should not have been that hard to make a pizza in less than an hour. This was ridiculous. As a result, I do not recommend this place, especially if you have kids. Check out the other pizza places in town and save yourself a lot of time and frustration ... or order your dinner at lunchtime.
