DO NOT SHOP AT PARTNERS PET STORE. I purchased 6 robo hampsters and 4 died with in a day or 2 of bringing them home. I called yesterday or the day before and was told that I could at the very least get store credit for them (which I would only use on supplies). Today I brought in the 4 dead hamsters and the 2 that were alive. The girl working there called the owner and put me on the phone with him. The owner refuses to give me a refund or even store credit. It was like pulling teath to get the girl working there to even write down as documentation for me that I brought the hamsters back and that she would ask her coworkers to see if they're the one I spoke with. They have horrible customer service. Apparently this has place has been going down hill for years. https://youtu.be/o_wzVCH8yBs

An absolute amazing shop owner, He is extremely friendly and helpful with any needs you may have. I recently bought a Lemon Beagle that has been an absolute joy to my life. I've bought rats before from this place in the past and have had nothing but the best experience. If you're looking for a pet shop with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend this place. I have had nothing but the best experience here and will continue to come back.

Adam Wiste of Partners Pet Center sold me what he (and the sign on the cage) said was a Parti Mini Schnauzer for $1999. He said he uses only reputable breeders, but I later found out he uses Susan Franz, who is on a list of 100 worst puppy mill breeders and has had multiple USDA violations when she was licensed. As my dog grew, she didn't look like a schnauzer, and is missing the bushy eyebrows and beard that are the trademark of that breed. AND SHE SHEDS, which schnauzers do not. When I confronted the owner, he insisted that she looked like a schnauzer, and tried to convince me she wasn't shedding...despite me having hair on my clothes from her. He said get a DNA test. She came back with 9 different breeds and 1% schnauzer. He offered only half my money back. Since, he has stopped responding after telling me there is nothing I can legally do. I found another woman with the same story. He sold her a dog that was supposed to be a shih tzu poodle mix, but had zero poodle, and was 5 different breeds. She said he did the same thing and offered her half her money back. This seems to be a pattern. Don't shop here for dogs.

A perfectly bred Shih tzu for less than half the price of other breeders!

We're so pleased with our experience and purchase! My daughter was heartbroken from another shih tzu breeder experience. I remembered walking into Partner's years ago and thought I'd call them up. Turns out, some shih tzus had just been born. Putting the downpayment made me uneasy at first but it's one of the best decisions I ever made. We secured the one female in the litter and she is a joy. It's been about two months so I thought I'd let folks know: not only are you getting a great pet from Partner's but they include literally hundreds of dollars worth of shots and food and goodies. Very pleased with the whole experience.

The place is filthy. I believe I rescued my dog. He was in a cage that had feces all over it and a water bottle made for a rabbit. The play center was disgusting with urine and dirt everywhere. The toys were old and dirty. My dog was sent home with me in a cardboard box and dirty towels. Puppy mill spot for sure. The owner is aggressive and a jerk on Facebook over protesters outside his hole in the wall dirty pet store. Check out the aggressive tone the owner has - carries over to his lack of care for the animals They will never get my business again and am happy I rescued my dog from that dump. Hope they close down.

As someone who is relocating to the Austin area in a few weeks I was excited to see a pet store that was seemingly almost identical to the one I have worked at in Florida. This place is horrific. I cannot comment on the fish, because I was too disgusted by the condition of the puppies, small animals, and reptiles. Multiple puppies were kept in tiny metal cages, no bedding or place to lay down, and most had empty food dishes. This store used water bottles similar to ones you would use for small animals so I cannot comment on if there was water for the puppies. The bottom tray had newspaper that was covered in feces/urine. Some of the puppies looked much younger than the 8-12 weeks that the signs said. The small animals were also not kept in proper conditions. There were 4 or 5 almost full grown guinea pigs kept in an area that is about 2 ft x 2 ft, barely room for one guinea pig, let alone 4 or 5. In another enclosure that same size there were about 8-10 hedgehogs all crammed under one hide. Feeder rodents were overcrowded and sickly. Reptiles: animals were being housed improperly, cohabitating different species together, animals that were not in an appropriate condition to sell, the list goes on and on. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Not only have I worked at a pet store that offers all of the same types of animals, I have personally owned most of the kinds of animals available in the store and currently collect high end reptiles. Please do not purchase anything from this store. Look for responsible breeders if you want a puppy/small animal/reptile/exotic, local fish stores for aquarium needs, and check other stores or online if you need supplies.

Notice the FRESH blood on the wood shavings. Also, little white guy at the top of the pic never moved the whole time we were there.

Before purchasing our Shih-Poo from Adam we visited several animal shelters but could not find a tiny dog for my daughter.

The care they provide for the fish, plants, and the overall organization and layout of the store is glorious. It is the kind of store you could find yourself popping into just to kill a little time, because it's lovely and the vibes are so nice. If you're an aquarist that dies a little inside everytime you see a betta being kept in someone's decorative antique thimble? Rest assured that their bettas are not kept in cups, but in lovely little temporary tank homes, that are all clean and well maintained. I didn't see a single betta that didn't pass the "curious, clear eyed, symmetrical, glide and dart" test. I also heard them teaching a couple about nitrogen cycling, tanks size, and letting them know that they really wouldn't advise buying their betta today. Though if you have the cash to burn they do have pre-cycled tanks ready for purchase. I've been here twice now. Once to get all the gear for my tank and fishless cycle, and then back about a month later to pick up my first betta, Mr. Pants. I'll be going back this weekend for a nerite snail, and the weekend after that for a couple of skrimps provided our betta accepts the snail w/o a fuss. So with all this glowing review, why only four stars and not five? Well, the service could me a smidge better. The lad that helped us on our first visit seemed like he really knew what he was doing, but was super awkward and really hard to talk to. We made it pretty clear that we were totally new to aquarium keeping, had nothing, and needed a full setup, but he left out several things we ended up finding out we needed. The most important of which was a water testing kit, which seems like the first thing that might come to mind if someone is buying all the stuff to do a fishless cycle? The guy that helped us out on our second visit was friendlier and easier to talk to, but did kind of seem like he was in a rush and helping us was a bit of a hassle, even though it was a Tuesday afternoon and there were like four people in the shop. I would normally grant space for a busy, popular store being perhaps understaffed, or overworked, but both times we went there were at least four employees on the floor, it was just that only one of them seemed to actually be there to assist customers. Anyway, none of that is enough to keep me from going back, obviously, but just know that you need to do your own research about what you need before going in, and be willing to overlook some less than stellar service. A small price to pay for access to their incredible and well kept stock.

One of our girls is typically pretty stand-offish with strangers so the fact that she ran over and happily snatched a treat from Mandy was intriguing, and the next thing you know we were placing an order online. Mandy is so sweet and personable and really puts her heart into her business. She sent photos of her and Tooter, her pup, making the batter for our order and I thought that was just the coolest thing. For now she is hand-delivering to our house. She is always punctual and communicates well about what time she will be there. The treats are packaged beautifully and clearly marked regarding what needs refrigeration. Our pups have enthusiastically SCARFED everything they have tried from Mandy (and I do believe they've tried them all!) but their favorites seem to be the turkey jerky, the waffles and the Tooter treats. They still go mad for the muffins, but the jerky sure puts a little more pep in their step I love that they get so excited about the treats, I love that we know exactly what the treats are *really* made of, and I love having the chance to shop local. I wish I had a photo of the treats in the packaging to share but I left town for one night last week and my husband went rogue and fed them every. Last. Treat.
