I've come here twice, both times to get a Smog Check certification for registration renewal. It's quick and simple, exactly as you'd want/expect from a Smog Check. There are several chairs you can lounge on while waiting for your smog check to finish. Check in on Yelp for $20 discount, but the owner gave me the discount without me mentioning it. read more

My neighbor highly recommended Alen's shop as a reliable place to go to get my car serviced for an oil change. Typically I perform my own oil changes not for cost but because I generally don't trust most shops with this routine task. However, I was pressed for time this year and decided to give it a go at this shop. I called a day before, and Alen tried to make sure he would have the filter and oil ready for my Pacifica Hybrid before I came in. I arrived at around 9 AM the next day, and fortunately did not have customers ahead of me. His seating area is close to the vehicle, and you get a front row seat to viewing how much care he puts into his work. You can be convinced when he says that he treats his customers' cars like his own. The guy is extraordinarily friendly and honest. He spent extra effort that morning to ensure that his hydraulic lift would not damage the underside of my new van. We also discussed options for oil so that I would not have to spend more money than I needed to. My price of $85 (synthetic oil change) was very reasonable, considering he also topped off fluids (windshield washer), tire pressure, and a quick check of other items. I will continue to visit his shop as long as I need some basic tasks taken care of and I am short on time to do the work myself. read more

I've been coming here for many years and never have I felt pressured, bullied or taken advantage of with my smog tests. They are very professional and kind and will get you in and out a lot faster than other stations take. I regularly come here to have my car's smog test/certification done. The owners are always prompt, professional, and get things done in 10-15 minutes. Today, I opted to also have oil change/service (new filter), air filter replaced since my car needed 'service A". I have a 16-year old Mercedes,130K, but I felt like Alen and his wife "baby" my car so I trust their work completely. Arrived around 12:15 p.m., done by 1:45 p.m. with everything (Alen's wife checked my tires, and topped up my windshield wiper fluid as well as a "bonus - and I had a very nice conversation with them both while waiting). Plan to do my next oil change here in 10-12K. If you want courteous, efficient, and solid service, don't look anywhere else for your smog test, oil change, etc. read more

This is the second time I've had my smog check done here. There were two other customers there when I arrived this time so it took all of about ten minutes. Two years ago I was there alone and it might have taken half that time. The people who work here are nice and the prices are reasonable. After I pickup my supra I noticed the exhaust sound wasn't consistent which Flow Master and lifted the car to discover a generic no brand muffler and very poor welded job. When I confronted Omar, he said that despite my muffler not saying it was a Flow Master. I called Flowmaster the company to confirm, and they let me know they do not create Flowmaster mufflers without the Flowmaster brand emblem. Advance Muffler also had installed a 'magma flow" muffler on my son's Acura Integra a few months back so I also lifted his car to find that his muffler was also generic with no brand markings. I spoke to Omar about the situation and he refunded my Supra install and stated he is not a muffler guy and didn't know. I believe this shop often claims to sell you brand name mufflers, like Flowmaster at a premium price and installs generic no name mufflers not expecting customers to ever check.
