I mean, I've loved Paseo since I discovered the Fremont one almost two decades ago. So when I found out there was a location near work in Sammamish, I was excited! I adore their fish sandwiches. Having said that, there are a TON of really yummy choices to pick from here. And they serve alcohol here, which I can't even tell ya how much I appreciated on the particularly hot day I came here. I had been craving a margarita that whole day and they delivered on fulfilling that. The ambience is intimate here, and they have some outdoor seating as well. Service was fast, as always. Was excited to try this for the first time. The sandwiches are heavy on the meat. Could only eat half which was disappointing since theyre pricey and dont reheat well. They were fine tasting. I've been to the longer standing locations in Seattle numerous times and always had great experiences. It doesn't feel great giving a bad review to the new location but I'm hoping management takes notice of feedback and makes adjustments. To echo a common theme in other reviews, something is off on the bread quality. Ordered 3 different sandwiches with 3 different proteins and they all had the same issue, as far as I could tell the bread was stale. Call out on the pork specifically - overcooked. Can't have that on your best selling sandwich. Maybe they're working out kinks, benefit of the doubt is the only reason I'm not giving 1 star. The star of this place is their sandwiches. So good! They're loaded with meat, making them filling and easy to share with another person. Don't skip the corn! I hesitated due to price but would get it again every time now. Their Italian sodas are delicious and while I didn't want to share, I shared with my kids and they each requested their own next time. The store has a treasure box for kids to select a toy from. This occupies them while you order and also keeps them entertained as you wait for food. I love that they do this! read more

Everything was reallyyy good. I tried the Caribbean plato with pulled pork and was delicious, the pork was tender, juicy and flavorful. The beans were also the same, very good. We decided to give this location another try, and I'm glad we did because our experience this time was great! We didn't come during happy hour, but the food was delicious as always. I always love how quickly the food comes out and how clean the place is. Service was great, and the Halloween decoration they had up was really cute too! Muy confusa. Small place - Caribbean restaurant playing Mexican music... Like legit banda music. Caribbean fries are plain potatoes... Explained yuca 3 times and the attendant seemed very confused and just kept trying to add items to the order instead of explaining the ingredients. Seating is Minimal, staff eating in the lobby on their break; 3 outdoor picnic tables (all full) with people waiting for takeout. Tostones have old spice seasoning on them and are served with a chipotle mayo sauce... ? Ordered the red plate with shrimp and it was unusually spicy for Caribbean food. Just seemed to be a bit more of a fusion Mexican joint. Prefer the location in SoDo. read more

Paseo is our go to for Caribbean food, they have the best Caribbean sandwich ever! With pork and Walla Walla onions. But we also really like their bowls, they are huge and you can share them easily for dinner with some tortilla chips. Highly recommend, very reasonably priced. read more

I feel so sad saying this but I just spent $55 on three of the worst dishes. The paseo press was incredibly bready and dry, the nachos reminded me of movie theater nachos and the jambalaya rice tasted drenched of tomato sauce from the grocery store. Unsure if I've just moved on from paseo or if this specific location isn't up to par as the city ones but this meal bummed me out. The staff is VERY nice. Tasty & unique food options are severely lacking on the Eastside & I am so happy to have this option now just a few mins drive from our house. We opted out of going on the day of the grand opening celebration & decided to go the day after. Still pretty busy but we were in & out within 45 mins or so. The food was tasty & for their 2nd day open, I give them major props for not only the speed in getting the food out but the quality as well. I first visited Paseo's 1st location in Seattle, when we were seeing a show at SODO's Showbox. They have incredible sandwiches. Was very excited that they opened a location in Eastside. Just like the location in Seattle, the Issaquah location, while smaller, is just as delicious. Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich with your SO, and heading to the boat launch down the street where you can park with lake views while you eat. 5/5 delicious! read more

So a bit disappointed. Well let's say very disappointed. Food is no good. I am familiar with the original which was way better. But my wife hates wet sandwiches. I asked the clerk if it was wet for the pork sandwich, she said no and it turned out to be wet. She also said the yuca fries is the same as potato fries which was wrong as well. My west Caribbean dish was sad. The pork was good for sure, but the beans and rice and cheese was you can tell canned and processed. Pretty much tasted like baseball park nachos with rice. During Summer 2022 after work, I went to Paseo with three other coworkers. I found this out from my co-worker who said that this sandwich shop just opened in Issaquah a little more than a week ago. It was very busy during that time. I recalled the waiting time to be around 20-30 mins and we were fortunate to find seating because it was packed inside with people and some even waited outside in 85+ degree weather. Though most people recommended the Famous Caribbean Roast, I picked the Paseo Press instead and I had no regrets. It's rare for a sandwich to get me loving it from the first bite alone. So many flavors hitting your tongue all at once. The breading is alright despite its massive serving size and it is quite pricey for a sandwich. Definitely have napkins ready as it can fall apart easily due to the amount of ingredients packed into a sandwich. I came back for a second time with another co-worker during lunch in September 2022 to try out the Famous Caribbean Roast and that was a hit too! If you are ever in the Issaquah area and never tried Caribbean sandwiches before, this is the shop to visit! read more

Wow! for the $$ price we paid for their chix breast carribean plate, this is the very small amount of chicken you get and dry! Looks like they cut the chix breast in half and thats what you get. Got real happy when I found out this place was opening up on the east side but sadly to say I was not impressed. I always order the Cuban roast sandwich and extra onions. I figured the portion price and quality would be the same as the original location but I was clearly wrong. This location uses different baguette/bread for their sandwiches since it's definitely smaller. I would rather drive to the Fremont location if I want a sandwich. They will have to up their sandwich if they want stay open. read more

Ordered carribean sandwich and jumbalaya last night. The pulled pork was over salted and dry. The lettuce on the sandwich was at most, an afterthought. The carmelized onion pieces were way too large and raw. We ordered the spice level on the jumbalaya at 2, but received 5+. Obviously, there was only 1 heat level to be had at the Issaquah store.
