Pasta Project is a fast casual restaurant serving freshly made pasta, salads, and more. It's located in a new strip center just down Scuffletown road, about a quarter mile off Woodruff in the Five Forks area. Pasta Project primarily serves pasta. The menu features several house signature dishes and a "Create Your Own" option. I opted for the CYO dish. Here, you choose your pasta, sauce, protein, and additions like dried tomatoes, capers, mushrooms, olives, etc. The helpings are plentiful. Unless you are very hungry, you will have enough to share a dish or take some home. The $2.99 side salads are well worth the price. The Owner and employees are very accommodating, the look is fresh and the food is great. Nice casual vibe. Place Pasta Project on your list.

This one is really hard to review. I haven't really gone to quick serve Italian. So my review is based on a traditional sit down experience. The good: Clean environment Fresh pasta Breadsticks Sausage The bad: The sauce Cannolis (tasted like grocery store quality)

I ordered the rigatoni vodka with meatballs and a half of garlic bread to go for the first time visiting. The space was clean, modern with decor, and quick service. My to-go order was piping hot when I got home and the pasta was delicious. The bread was flavorful, but I wanted a crispier bottom initially, but it soaked up the sauce perfectly. Portions of half of the garlic bread was 4 pieces and the portion of the pasta was enough to have a serving at dinner with the remainder for lunch the next day. I'm a big reheat gal, and it was better than the next day. Thankfully, the bread was perfectly cooked, because it was amazing to have.

WOW. Best. Pasta. Ever. I got the chicken alfredo, and it is so fresh and so delicious. It's a little pricey, however the pasta bowls have enough for leftovers, so I'd say it's very worth it. I also had a caprese salad, and it was refreshing and well seasoned. The service was friendly and quick. I can't wait to eat here again!!!

Ordered spaghetti and meatballs TOGO and it was super delicious. Only went inside to pick up my food, but everyone was kind and my food was ready at pick up time and smelled so good.

No pictures this time but don't let that deter you! Pasta is FRESH and made to cook as ordered. We really liked the "create your own bowl" and the choices available. Plenty of pastas, sauces, topping, and protein options. Personally, Alfredo knocked it out the park for me! Portions are quite large too. The team was extremely friendly and the owner made it a point to greet every customer as they and wish them a good night as they exited. Plenty of seating available and didn't feel cramped. While I've noticed the place on quite a few FB groups and knew it was a crazy couple weeks after opening, we gave it some time. Arrived around 730-8pm and plenty of seating available and no long line or long wait for food. Can't wait to see other branches pop up a little closer to us

This is a new concept, an offshoot of the Tropical Grille Empire, owned by the same restaurateur. All pasta dishes are cooked fresh to order, and they make their own pasta inside the restaurant, ensuring freshness. I ordered spaghetti with marinara and three toppings: fresh basil, onions, and Parmesan cheese. The bowl was large and generously portioned. If I had feedback about my dish, it would probably be a smart idea to include a piece of garlic bread since it's always popular with pasta dishes. Maybe something they could consider down the road--they do offer garlic bread as a side item. The interior decor is lovely and casual, with plenty of healthy options, including salads and desserts. Service is quick and efficient, making it an attractive stop in the Five Forks area. Expect to spend somewhere between $10-20 per person, maybe a little higher if you include dessert and salad options. A great addition to the Five Forks area. Yelp Elite approved!

Spaghetti Bolognese ( Lunch ) and Create your own pasta ( Lunch )

Stopped in to give it a try for lunch and was very impressed! Clean and modern atmosphere. The service was great--very friendly staff and quick turnaround after ordering. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese and built our own bowl (rigatoni with vodka sauce, chicken, roasted peppers, and spinach). Both bowls are lunch size portions and were very filling. The pasta was cooked al dente which was perfect and the sauce, add-ins, and protein were all flavorful. Definitely worth stopping in to give it a try, highly recommend!

We took our time settling in and started with the mozzarella and focaccia (so good!) and the meatball--because you can't visit an Italian place without the essentials. For our mains, we ordered the short rib ragu and the verde lasagna. The lasagna was especially memorable--you could really taste the fresh spinach, which gave it a light, refreshing flavor. To top it all off, the wonderful Mr. Flannegan came out to sing "Happy Birthday" and brought their amazing cannoli. Such a fun and memorable touch to an already fantastic meal!

It was very clean, and the atmosphere is one of its strongest assets. We sat outside overlooking Fluor Field, which made for a really enjoyable setting. The outdoor patio was comfortable, and the new awnings provided great shade, making it easy to relax even in the sun. Service was excellent from start to finish. Attentive, and professional. No complaints there at all. For drinks, I ordered a carajillo, which was very well done. The food is where things started to fall short. We began with the long hot stuffed peppers. The dish only comes with two peppers, so the portion felt a bit small. The sausage itself was decent, but it was severely lacking seasoning, and the sauce didn't add much to elevate it. The verde lasagna followed a similar trend. The pasta itself was clearly good quality, but the overall dish was underwhelming and lacking depth of flavor. The scallop dish was the best of what we tried. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the asparagus was fresh, and the risotto had a good texture. Unfortunately, even here, the dish still felt like it was missing seasoning and bold flavor, which was a recurring theme throughout the meal. Given the upscale setting and prime location, expectations are understandably higher and so are the prices. That said, the portion sizes and overall flavor didn't quite justify the cost in my opinion. Overall, a great location with excellent service and ambiance, but the food needs more seasoning and depth to truly match the setting and price point.

Lots of different menu items ordered. I heard the chicken and rosemary soup was good and served with a slice of baguette. The side salads looked big as there was a lot of greens on the plate. I chose the Spinach salad with pears and gorgonzola cheese plus the grilled chicken as an add on for $4.75. I think the chef just opened a large bag of spinach with storks on,(which I removed as I ate).Dumped it in the dish topped it with some cheese and a few slices of pear. Red onion thinly sliced (which I didn't care for) One person had Lasagne which was a large portion (she took half home). Person next to me had Pizza with double pepperoni. It looked burnt at the edge but uncooked on top and in the middle. There were a few more salads and a Chicken with Caper sauce and pasta. It did get busy during the course of our stay. Music was a little loud and we had to shout to be heard. I asked to pay for two checks.. no problem I was told. Server came back and said I had to pay separately for each ticket I visited the bathrooms, neat and tidy Overall it was ok, food ok. Server was great!!

The indoor acoustics allowed for easy conversation and the background music complements the room. Tavola is quickly becoming one of our favorites. We love the setting and the food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and beyond helpful guiding us to the Fruitti di Mare appetizer which was amazing..and the cocktails were the best I have had in a very long time anywhere. Being a bourbon fan I couldn't resist trying the Molly's Moda Antica and my wife had a Mediterranean Mule. We had a fabulous dinner. I tried the Branzino seafood entree which I had never heard of, but it was delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle pasta. Next visit I think we'll try for an outside balcony table or enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the open air bar seating. Good service, nice setting and an interesting menu with great food!

Not exactly la dolce vita. Thankfully, carbs save the day. Everything was house made. The handmade pasta was made with flour flown in from Italy! I had the casarecce which had light and well-balanced bacon and lemon flavors. My date had the the "whole" branzino, which despite described as "whole" came already de-boned and without the head. It was crispy, golden, and serving main character energy with its unique presentation. Frutti di mare was... there. I didn't think the flavors were anything to write home from Italy about. Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.
