Everything about this place was amazing! The service, the food, the ambience; everything was a solid 10 out of 10. My vodka sauce parm sandwich just melted in my mouth. Tl;dr everything is served to-go and I'd go for the thicker noodles and heavier flavors like the white sauces. ===== Stopped by and tried the cavatelli florentina and the pappardelle bolognese with mushrooms. Even though we selected "dine in" on the tablet, everything came packaged up and in a bag with plastic utensils, which was sad. Hopefully one day they embrace reusable cutlery and tableware. Or at least don't ask a question when the answer is ignored. The pappardelle was extremely disappointing. Noodles were too soft and the sauce was very bland. Since the pasta is in a takeout container, the problem is exacerbated for the noodles at the bottom since they can't air out at all. Would not order this again. In comparison the cavatelli was a flavor bomb. Very garlicky and good amount of sun dried tomato, and just miles above the pappardelle in the flavor department. Texture of the cavatelli was better too, and much closer to al dente. Chicken seemed a teeny bit old and tough. If I came back, I'd probably order this again, or a different white sauce, with thicker pasta shapes. The inside is pretty nice with a good number of 4-seater tables and some bar seating facing the window. They also had some interesting sandwich and dessert options I didn't try. I appreciated the self-serve water. This is a very casual restaurant, so do not expect any table service. Maybe this is on roughly the same level or a little lower as the Vapiano's that used to be in Chicago (food-wise, loses ambiance-wise) if you order right, but it's definitely not as good as the Vapiano's in Europe. At least, not currently. Very convenient location right by the Morgan green line. Would I visit again? Hard to say. read more

We were in the area nearby and decided to try out Pasta Via since the concept seemed interesting. You can customize the pasta, sauce, and toppings or choose from one of their signature pastas. I went with the cheese and spinach ravioli with pesto sauce and shared the cavatelli florentina (cavatelli, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, grilled chicken) with hubby. We were expecting portions to be small so we decided to order an extra pasta to share but it wasn't necessary. Hubby had the gnocchi with garlic olive oil sauce and meatballs. We both liked our own dishes but both of them seemed more on the oily side. I had the cavatelli florentina at home the next day and it reheated up nicely. I think it was better than the ravioli and there was more of it than the ravioli. read more

I ordered at a kiosk after the lunch rush - to go. A sandwich and a soup took well over 20 mins. They ran out of a soup and said they had another kind almost ready and would only be a few mins. I accepted the substitution but wouldn't have if I knew it would take so long. I was almost late for a meeting trying to eat beforehand. The lentil soup was good - but I had to eat it off camera during my meeting that I couldn't attend in person because of how long the order took. (Can you tell my frustration?) I didn't eat the sandwich just yet because I was in back to back meetings - but will tomorrow. Hopefully it redeems itself. In the future I will reconsider what they have ready on hand or could prepare quicker. read more

You order at a self-service kiosk, and they prepare your pasta fresh right in front of you. It comes with a very small slice of bread. That said, I did find it a bit on the pricey side. Each topping costs extra, and for about $15 (no extra toppings), my box was only about half full. The pasta tasted great--definitely delicious and quite authentic--but the portion size might not be filling enough for a standard adult meal. I really wanted this to become a go-to spot, but given the portion size and the added costs, it's a bit steep for what you get. Absolutely loved this pasta spot! Had a work lunch-in conference and put in a custom order for a group of 10 of us and wow did this not disappoint! The pasta was fresh, falvorful, and perfectly cooked! One of my favorite things is how they package everything in those convenient ready-to-go Chinese-style boxes, super easy to carry and eat from which made it so easy to eat from our desks while on our calls and take what we wanted home! Let me say I was skeptical of eating pasta from a "Chinese box". Street metered parking that's difficult to find but the food was much better than I expected. Price range $-$$ the more toppings the more it cost. No alcohol. I ordered shirt pasta rigatoni with arrabuata (spicy) sauce with garlic and added Italian sausage crumbles. It was a good potion (7oz) and was packed with good flavor. I honestly was shocked because some sauces lack substance and flavor. The service was with a kiosk...I would have preferred something that walked me through the process of ordering as I had never been there. I didn't take too long to finish but I'm glad no one was behind me. The setting is cute inside kinda eat your food and go vibe. It's just not good pasta. And I've had bad pasta. Bad pasta is fine if it's cheap but even this is overpriced.

The convenience is clutch and the flavors are on point. Exactly what my family needs living in the west loop. I've got 3 little children to feed and they gobbled up the butter noodles and alfredo. I got the ravioli and my husband got the rigatoni bartucci. All were delicious and filling. Found our new go-to spot for Italian! read more

When I think of fast food pasta the only thing that comes to mind is Noodles and Co. so going in, I didn't have a lofty expectation. However, the pasta was fantastic and changed my view on what to-go pasta is. The manager was really kind and the food came out in around 10 minutes. I got a spinach, mushroom, and rigatoni marinara which was a pretty large portion even for a guy who eats quite a bit. Unfortunately, I need to drop my rating here. I went in today, and ordered a simple meatball sandwich. I then sat down in an otherwise empty restaurant. After about 20 minutes went by I had to ask where my food was. I was told that a very large delivery order came in and they couldn't get to mine. I was patient, and waited another 5-10 minutes. Finally my sandwich arrived, and it was obviously hurried. There was little to no marinara sauce on it, (I suspect they were low due to the large delivery order), and the bread was stale. A few things....#1 it may help to require delivery orders of that size to give 24 hrs notice. #2. if you do decide to take a last minute order of that size, put a sign up or just close the doors to walk ins. #3. never serve something that isn't your best. If you can't do that, just tell the customer and refund their money. It will be a long time before I go back, if at all. read more
