Fantastic dinner! My friend and I loved sitting right next to the glass where you can see the pasta being made. Wonderful service and delicious food! Tastes authentic and fresh - perfect bite every time! The restaurant is a bit small but cozy, so make sure you have a reservation. This is definitely a must try!

This was a very nice restaurant. I felt like I was right at my Grandma's house. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was small but it was cute and I liked the décor. The bread basket with the oil was very nice and i had a piece with olives inside. The pasta is all homemade here. I had rigatoni all norma with red sauce and eggplant. It was very nice. We also had the tagliatelle with the ragu sauce. It was a meat sauce. It was also very tasty. It was nice to have traditional Italians prepare the meals.

Probably the closest thing to authentic pasta here in Miami. Every pasta plate was absolutely delicious, great sauces and the pasta was al dente! Good service and it really does feel like you are in Europe, small cozy cute place. Highly recommend

We came in on a Saturday just before they were about to close. It is on Sunset. A cozy spot for pasta. The place is tiny with a few chairs. I went with the cacio e Pepe rigatoni. The pasta sauce needed more flavor. The pasta did taste fresh though. My friend enjoyed her dish. Overall decent pasta. I expected better taste though. Service was excellent. Casual vibe. Lots of families .

Un verdadero tesoro escondido. Este restaurante de pasta es pequeño y acogedor, pero con una energía que te transporta directamente a Italia. Desde que entras, sientes ese ambiente cálido, casi familiar, como si te recibieran en una trattoria italiana de toda la vida. Mi plato favorito es la carbonara, cremosa y perfectamente balanceada, pero tengo que decir que la pasta al limón es simplemente única. OH WOW, where do I start? We've been here twice and can't wait to go back! The staff here is incredible. Super attentive and always willing to help you with anything you need. The place is the perfect little hole-in-the-wall you would never expect to fall in love with. The food is fresh, delicious, and the servers are up to the task of helping you pick out some cool wine pairings. I definitely recommend checking them out!

My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed PastaMia ambiance, yummy dishes, great desserts, superb wine and the exceptional care, attention and love that Carola, her chef hubby and the entire staff put towards making your experience with them, unique and memorable. The whole team works like a well oiled machine, helping each other and each individual being attentive to the needs of the patrons, regardless if they are your server. First time, it was a Friday and we made reservations and second time we just walked in at an early bird time during the week. So, no waiting. It is a popular and well loved place, so reservations are always a good idea. Carola, the owner is so friendly, full of energy and joy and appreciative of every customer all the time. It's quite special to see. We have enjoyed their suppli, tuna tartare, rigatoni cacio e pepe with guanciale, spaghetti with clams, rigatoni alla genovese, tiramisu, pistachio Gelato, EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious. We also loved a wine that Carola recommended, Basileus Terre di Cosenza. AMIAMO TUTTO DELLA PASTAMIA!!!!!

Authentic Italian food in South Miami! All of their pasta is fresh and everything we tried was delicious. I love that they use guanciale in their carbonara, which I haven't had since I was in Italy. Just perfect! Seriously, the best pasta in South Miami. They make everything from scratch. I have celiac, so I need gluten-free. They have two different types of gluten-free pastas and there's about eight different choices for sauces. And it's all custom made to order. My husband, not easy to please, loves it too. He gets the normal pasta, and keeps rolling his eyes about how amazing it is. They have outdoor seating, so it's dog friendly, and they always bring a dish of fresh water. To top it all off, the owner and her husband are amazing. They're Italian and so friendly. They always make us feel very welcome, even when we go in at 9 PM for a late dinner. read more

This place is just a couple of months old and been wanting to try it, but was always packed and finally was able to try this place out in the afternoon. The Italian Restaurant is quaint and the young lady that is one of the owners is very nice and helpful. We ordered the Bruschetta (which the best I have ever had), Meatballs, Caserecce Al Pesto, Lasagna and Tiramisu. All of the food here is homemade and it shows. The Pasta melts in your mouth it is so fresh. The Tiramisu is served in a Jar and is lite and creamy. If one is looking for excellent Pasta and are in the South Miami area, this is the place. read more

Everything was DELICIOUS and super fresh! BEST place in South Florida to have fresh pasta. I live 45 mins away and would make that drive in a heartbeat! I'd love if they had more non-alcoholic drink options but everything is so good, I can't knock them for that. read more

If you want a nice down home Italian restaurant. This is it. There's no frills to it, concise menu and they are masters at everything on their menu. Super nice atmosphere really nice wait staff and what I am guessing is the owner. I cannot complain. I will be definitely be back, they have the best pesto! read more

Amazing place, so glad I found it online. I just got back from Italy, and I'm serious that this was better pasta than the restaurants I went to. We got the cacio e pepe (add guanciale), lasagna, rigatoni al norma, bolognese, and house salad. We all loved our meals! On top of that, the service was incredible, probably the nicest restaurant staff I've ever met. Small place, we easily got a table outside on Sunday night though. They were so accommodating. We will definitely be back!!! read more

My girlfriend and I come here almost every Friday and it never disappoints. The Carbonara is delicious, but the truffle is our favorite. Oh and watch out for the lemon tagliatelle special that she serves sometimes. Although the restaurant is a bit small, the service is amazing, and it feels like home read more

I used to be a regular here but the new "assistant" of the owner is extremely rude. Will not be returning here. When my boyfriend attempted to speak to the owner of the restaurant he blocked her off from him and refused. Also, food here takes more than 2 hours to get to your table. Take your money elsewhere. read more

We've been wanting to try this local spot and finally popped in for dinner. It did not disappoint and other diners couldn't stop recommending their "faves." They seem to have a loyal fan base. We ordered the bruschetta and spaghetti with clams. The bruschetta was extra tasty with the burrata & anchovy topping. For the clam dish, they don't have linguine but our server recommended the tagliolini. It was a great past choice and delicious. The clams were a nice size and the pasta was prepared just-right, al dente! And last for dessert, we ordered the tiramisu. Another diner, on his way out, highly recommended it (along with the caserecce Al pesto). The tiramisu was a generous serving in a nice, thin glass jar. It had a crunchy bottom and the custard part was yummy! Service was a bit slow to start but once they got going, it was fine. They were busy, we didn't have reservations and they were nice to accommodate us. Staff was friendly and apologetic about their slow start. The weather was just pleasant enough to enjoy sitting outside but as the temp begins to heat up, we will be back to try more and check out indoors seating! read more

I have eaten here many times with my girlfriend and it is the perfect date and family spot! Excellent 5-star quality food made with fresh ingredients and authentic Italian taste. The staff are thoughtful and friendly and create an inviting atmosphere. Out of the dozen or so times that I have eaten here I have not had a single bad experience with food, ambiance, or service. My favorite dishes on the menu are the Rigatoni Alla Genovese and Spinach Shells. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic homemade Italian cuisine! read more

Can't believe I'm writing this review now! My partner and I snowbirded down in SoMi for a couple of months earlier this year, and we loved this place. The apps and pastas we tried were all good and flavorful, and tasted authentic; I'm no Italian, but could at least taste the difference between many pasta dishes and the food they make here is good, and what should I say...memorable. I say that because I just came back from the month-long business trip in Milano, Italy. And for some reason, I kept thinking about this place while I was in Milano, lol. The service is great here, too. The couple that run this place was always so nice each time we visited. This is probably the first place I'll go when I'm back in SoMi later this year. read more

I tried Pastamia for the first time today and it was FANTASTIC! They are truly Italian. When I've seen "carbonara" on the menu, I couldn't stop myself and ordering that. Now... The real authentic carbonara is tricky to do and in the USA I never found anything even close to the original receipt from Rome. Until today. It was delicious. The quality of the pasta was exceptional and so was the cream (eggs only, no actual cream!) and the guanciale (real guanciale perfectly cooked)... I felt like I was in Rome again for 20 minutes. I haven't tried anything else, but I will very soon. The place is small but cozy. They have indoor and outdoor seating on the South Miami strip. Hugely recommended! read more

This is the best place in South Miami. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu. I ordered a takeout for 9:30 but got there a bit early and it was ready on the dot. We had an excellent meal at pasta mia! When seated we were immediately given bread with an antipasto of olives and sun dried tomatoes as well as Olive oil for dipping. Our pasta was delicious (best I had in a long time) We ordered the Spinach Shells with Burratta, Cherry tomatoes, and basil sauce. Amazing! Can't wait to go back and very thankful this place joined the growing list of amazing new restaurants in South Miami. read more

First of all the restaurant is really attractive. It is always a good sign when you walk into a restaurant on a random Wednesday night to see that the mid week crowd is comparable to what you would see other popular restaurants on the weekend. When you walk in the door, you're hit with the subtle aromas. They put your taste buds on high alert. Looking at the food on the other diner's tables only serves to make you salivate for what you were about to eat. Even before the first bite, you know you are in for a treat. I love Asian food and already have several favorites, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy this meal. The menu is a combination of a variety of Asian cuisines and tonight we decided to go with the wonton soup and the combination pad Thai these were also the recommendations of our server. Admittedly, there were a number of appetizers that attracted my attention and I did look ahead to dessert with the admission to try those as well. But our two entrées were so filling and so satisfying there was nothing that could've made the meal better. Some key points are that one of my pet peeves is when there are pictures on the menu and the food looks nothing like the picture. These many pictures are spot on so that beautiful pad Thai pictured on the menu was exactly what was put on my table. Same with the wonton soup. The wonton soup was quite tasty with fresh bok choy and delicious homemade wontons. It does have noodles in it, but no proteins outside of the wonton filling. The Pad Thai was the perfect balance balance of sweet and savory that you would find, and only the finest of Thai restaurants I loved every bite. When you order a dish with combination meets you often disappointed because the different proteins require different cooking times and so none of them actually seem cooked quite right. This was not the case here. The chefs take care to make sure that every vegetable, every noodle, every piece of shrimp, steak, and chicken are cooked perfectly. The sauce is so balanced and complements the ingredients perfectly. Food prices were reasonable. I did not order tea, which I usually would at an Asian restaurant because I thought the price was a bit high. I did not ask if complementary refills came with the soft drinks or iced tea. Overall, this was great experience with remarkably excellent food and superlative service. There's parking in the back although I parked on the street. This is a great addition to the growing number of restaurants in South Miami and is one that I am sure to return to.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me, as it's one of her favorite spots, and I'm glad I gave it a try! One of the standout aspects of this place is that everything is made fresh handmade pasta included which was absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly and guided us toward their most popular dishes, which did not disappoint. Both my pasta and my friend's dish were delicious! However, there were a couple of downsides to our visit. The restaurant was very packed when we arrived, and we were seated all the way in the back near the kitchen. It was a bit uncomfortable since we had to keep moving for the staff to pass through, which disrupted the experience. Also, the pasta was cooked very al dente, which isn't my personal preference, but I can see how others would love it.
