This is my go to Indian restaurant when I venture out by myself. It feels more like a cafe style with a chill vibe. I have not ordered one thing that I didn't enjoy. From the snacks, meals and sweets The service is on point. Since I came back from India I like to chit chat and know where each person is from and what they recommend eating... they are patient and answer all my questions. The last few times I went I saw the thali on display, they have a vegetarian and I believe a chicken one. I still have not ordered it... it looks delicious! Mainly I always get the pani puri and I honestly believe they make the most authentic one in town!

This place is one of my go to Indian restaurants ever since it opened a couple of years ago. The food is always hot, fresh, and on point. The service is always great with a chill ambiance. And the pricing is always great. Recently we got the chicken 65, samosa chaat, and the chicken kati roll. All were delicious. Another time, we also tried the chicken noodles which were really good!

Would recommend and come back! Ordered the butter chicken and samosa chaat, and these were full of flavor and nicely balanced. However, this is from someone who greatly enjoys Indian cuisine and not familiar with authenticity. That said, the majority of customers were Southern Asians (it was absolutely packed on a Saturday evening) and that's always a great sign. We did have to wait 30mins for our dine-in food (were told 10mins when ordering), but this was possibly due to the large number of takeouts. Ordering: at contactless screen or through the cashier. Food: brought to the tables, however extra paper plates, utensils and drinks are all self serve. Parking: limited, since it is shared with multiple businesses, and tight so beware of poor drivers who don't know how to park well! I recommend traveling a little farther to the parking lot in front of the K-BBQ place.

I just LOVE this place! I have had their Chicken Tikka Masala in the past & it is sooo delicious! But my 3 favorite things on the menu are the Samosa Chat, Mango Lassi & their Coconut Ball Cookies. I ate everything too quickly to get pics But, let me tell you... the Samosa Chat is so delicious! With smashed lentils, seasoned to perfection, with a spice level of your choice. It has fresh yoghurt, red onions, and cilantro on top as well as crispy Samosa pastry. A perfect snack for some, but for me it's two filling meals that is just as good leftover cold as it is fresh & warm. And...it's only $5.00!! The mango lassi is fresh, tangy, & sweet & hits the spot. Lastly, the coconut balls - I mean...they're addictive. Light, chewy, just enough sweetness, YUM!! One of these days I'll bring them home & melt some chocolate to dip them in. But, not today. You have to try this place. It's just a little spot tucked away off Huebner in a little strip mall. Always service with a smile

Do yourself a favor and get food from here. If there's one thing you do today, let it be this. This is some of the BEST Indian food in San Antonio, the state of Texas, and probably the entire South. If you like butter chicken, get it from here. The meat was so unbelievably soft and tender, and the shorba was SO flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. The rice is stupid soft and went perfectly with everything. I'm a biggg samosa chaat girlie and yall- this was IT. The meat we got was also super flavorful and not dry at ALL. Seating can be hard to get since everyone and their moms eat here (which is a sign in of itself of the quality), so getting it to go is the move. Eat here. Immediately.

New HALAL restaurant in town! Pastries N Chaat is an Indian Halal restaurant with many locations, the most recent of which opened in town! This place quite literally opened up maybe 2 weeks ago, and I'm so happy that they did! They have a wide variety to choose from & even offer combos to make things easier for you. According to my dad, their Chaat dishes are good too! For those who don't know, chaat are South Asian snacks, usually savory, which is what this place is known for (hence the name)! We got the Paneer Tikka Masala combo (comes w roti, rice and raita), Butter Chicken, Chili Gobi,Vijayawada Chicken Dum Biryani, & Bhel Puri. We loved everything that we got. A few notes however: -be sure to check spice levels when ordering! I'm used to eating spicy food but the chicken app on top of the Biryani was a bit too spicy for me. I'll probs just get regular chicken Dum Biryani next time! -Roti is BOMB! I usually don't have much to say about Rotis in general, but this one was a dream. Def recommend ordering some roti with your meal or getting the combo! -we went on one of the first opening days and they were a bit busy. They had a hard time completing our order over call, so it might be best to just go there and order. - Staff is extremely friendly!! They helped me out with recommendations & when it was time to come back in & pick up the food, they brought it out to my car instead! - speaking of which, even though they had more customers than planned for their soft opening, I still got my order in 20 mins! Thanks Pastries N Chaat for the hospitality and delicious food. I'll be back!

Their boneless chicken biryani is game changing! I loved the taste, felt like there is a secret ingredient, or maybe not! Big portion and tasty gravy/raita. I'm knocking off a star because the rice was greasy. I also ordered Dahi batata puri which was yummy as well. PnC will probably be my to go spot for biryani from now on..

Wait a place where I can get fast Indian food AND cake??? Yes!! Everything I tried was delicious, some kind of spicy cauliflower, a veggie biryani with lentils, and did I mention cake? All different flavors available with layers of cream. The menu has something for everyone: meat dishes with chicken or goat, all the way to strict vegetarian dishes. They have the toast tab app so easy to order prior to arrival. Hours are a little different they close in between lunch and dinner. I also saw really affordable family packs on the menu around $50 for large portions of food for a party or office meeting. Very welcome addition to the medical center area. Don't miss this one.

Hey y'all!!!! I ordered food for Mother's Day take out and I was overall impressed and excited!!! I don't remember everything I ate! But I remember all the food being delightful and fresh!!! Key points!! Roti was flaky and delicious! Mango lassi was awesome and they don't skip on the portions! I had plenty of leftovers! I will definitely be back!

The service was nice, they were pretty attentive and kind. I only ordered the Lamb Biryani, and it was delicious! Additionally, the meal was big enough to take home. Overall, I liked this place and I'm interested in trying more of the menu.

If they had aloo chana chaat with yogurt this would be the only Indian restaurant I go to locally. We were originally going to go to Mare e Monte but the line was too long and we all were simultaneously craving Indian cuisine. This happened to be right next door. Ambiance is more like a family restaurant so definitely expect kids and multiple family affairs but the noise levels didn't take us away from how excellent the food was !! If it matters to you they do serve water with water bottles. I personally love a nice iced cup of water esp to help refresh my mouth from the spices. that would be my only ding and that's nitpicking. Service was very good to us!

First I feel I should explain that I live in the total opposite area and outside the city so this place is quite a long voyage. Nonetheless, I feel as if I have to say, I love this restaurant. This new building location is way better than the last. No more random pot holes everywhere and no more worry of your entire car getting stuck in the parking lot because you happen to drive over a hole that's somehow three feet wide. I am such a big fan of this place infact when they closed to relocate I got depressed knowing I couldn't have their food for the time being. Now for the actual review. Walking into this restaurant you wouldn't expect much from it. A small buffet stand and a normal seating arrangement. They sat me down quite hastily and the waitress came immediately to pour water for you to quench any thirst you may have had before entering. Before I got my food I took a sip of the water she just poured and instantly the veil of the tandoor palace was lifted and it revealed its true nature. This place is a sanctuary run by the divines, the waitress a goddess. The water was the most refreshing water man could ever have. I felt like I was drinking tears that a god had cried over its subjects that just so happen to also land in the fountain of youth and this waitress is the only inhabitant in the mortal realm that has access to the said fountain. and she blessed you with this holy water by pouring it inside a piece of the holy grail. After experiencing pure ecstasy from the divine hostess I finally walked up to the small buffet to grab the same thing I have always gotten. Rice, with their chicken tiki masala. Shaking from the previous experiences I've had with this divine food I could hardly hold my excitement. Sitting down to finally have a bite, I felt a calling from heaven and the need to pray to god for blessing me with a sanctuary and meal such as this. With the first bite I am instantly face to face with the vision of this chicken I have swirling in my mouth. I've never seen such a chicken. He tells me that even though he has died, he is happy to have ended up in the hands of a chef that personally cooks for the gods on his free time and that the chef treated him such care he didn't even notice himself pass over to the afterlife and to be added to such an exquisite dish such as this and that he is happy to have brought someone like me such a feeling of immense joy. Hearing this from the sacred chicken I begin to cry tears of happiness. Pulses of oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin surge through my body and with every bite I experience pure heaven. I can't explain to you enough how I feel about this food more than what I am typing right now at this very moment. Then finally the Naan shows up, maybe a little late but just in time for me to experience a new joy of just having the chicken tikimasala and rice alone. Placing my fork down, I grab the piping hot naan and notice the slight glisten of butter over the surface of the Naan like a bar of pure gold, with pieces of what seems to be garlic and maybe cilantro and parsley. I continue to use its garlic buttery goodness to scoop the food on my plate and proceed to shove it into my mouth. I full heartedly believe an old man would say, "My stomach is jealous of my mouth for being able to have its way with it first." Plate after plate you would want to devour even if you would taint this holy sanctuary with the sin of gluttony, maybe try to hide your sin under the napkin they provide to you like the French do for ortolan bunting. Slowly I became full and still had some food on my plate. One shouldn't waste food here or more like who would want to. You'd rather sit there for an extra couple minutes so your stomach could settle and let the food get cold because you'd still wish to eat it. At this restaurant if one should find a hair in their food (not saying you will or i did im exaggerating!) you'd take it as a blessing from the divine in the kitchen and still continue to eat it. (Around it of course.) Meat balls were also pretty good.
