    Beef flautas
    Kathy N.

New Mexican restaurant in the Santa Teresa area. Las Cazuelas is located in the same plaza as Nob Hill. Place is very cute and clean. Service was really friendly and personable. However, the food was just okay. I ordered the beef flautas platter that came with rice/beans. I enjoyed that the flautas were crispy but they were lacking a bit of flavor. The rice and beans were good texture-wise, but were also lacking flavor. A bit bland for Mexican food.

I had the regular burrito. It was filled with rice, beans, and carnitas. The burrito was a bit dry. It would be nice to have some pico de gallo inside. Overall, service was great. The food was prepared fairly fast. This is a new Mexican restaurant located in the Nob hill plaza. The prices are fairly reasonable, too.

Four tacos. $4 each. I got two Chile Verde and two Al Pastor.

Las Cazuelas just opened up at the old Casa Teresa restaurant location in the Nob Hill shopping center. The restaurant looks amazing with a beautiful modern look. I ordered four tacos. Two Al Pastor and the other two Chile Verde. Both tasted good, but I loved the Chile Verde the best. It was cooked perfectly and I will definitely get that again. The orange sauce they provided on the side was some of the best I have ever had. Paulina, our host was great. It was nice to see the family friendly vibe of Casa Teresa will continue here. I can't wait comeback soon to get a breakfast burrito with a side of that orange sauce.

I'm going to enjoy yet another meal here at my favorite place. Albondigas soup and a wonderful Sangria are perfect for lunch. Best service always and the best relaxing music playing. I am patiently waiting for the amazing soup. I have tried it and it's delicious.

    Shrimp burrito

I got a super shrimp burrito, my husband got a sampler, and my kiddo got a chicken taco plate. My shrimp burrito had a lot of flavor and the shrimp were good perfectly! I will say it's slightly on the pricier side though. The super burrito is $15 which isn't bad, but upgrading to shrimp is an additional $3, so it was $18 for the burrito. For reference, I usually spend $15.50 for a shrimp burrito at my favorite taqueria. My kiddo devoured his taco and half his rice. I tried the his. chicken and it was cooked well and not dry. My husband also enjoyed his plate, which came with his choice of meat (carnitas), nachos, quesadilla, and flautas. He thought the flautas were just OK but liked the nachos and quesadilla. Service was attentive and friendly and the chips and salsa here are great! Overall we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back to try more!

We tried Las Cazuelas for the first time today and were really impressed! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The chile relleno, flautas, and albóndigas soup were all excellent, and even the rice and beans were really good. My mom even said " These beans are delicious." What really stood out, were the salsas. So many restaurants overlook them, but these were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of heat. We kept going back for more. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and it's always exciting to find a great new local Mexican restaurant. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving Las Cazuelas a try!

    Chicken nachos
    Stephanie L.

The food here is fresh and much higher quality than many neighborhood restaurants. A lot of care is taken with the preparation and ingredients; for example the chicken in my nachos was tender and flavorful, and it wasn't drowning in sour cream or beans. Chips are fresh. Margarita has a nice spicy bite in the salt rim. Speciality sauces come with the mole. Our server was attentive, checking in frequently to make sure we were happy. The place is new, clean with upscale decor. We will be visiting again!

Thank you for opening Las Cazuelas on snell. The food is so tasty and yummy. I got Tostada De Ceviche De Camaron and also Flautas De Beef the Rice and Beans everything has flavor . Real Mexican food will be back and recommending Las Cazuelas to my family and friends 5 Stars

    I can't believe I ate it all.

Having been to the race street location for many years, my hopes were pretty high. They did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. The service was pleasantly appreciated. The location is excellent. Inside of the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. I've ate until we were tired and full. Great go to gem in south san jose.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

The service is not the best and you have to try hard to catch the servers attention. The food was better this time, but not as good as many other Mexican restaurants. It is not what I consider authentic Mexican food.

Our server was Sebastian & he was super friendly, attentive & recommended us the goods. My favorite here was their enchiladas - red & stuffed with chicken tinga. Drinks were good, the michelada with the shrimps - fire. Paloma - not that strong for the price you pay, but it was still alright. We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

FOOD: Food is usually great. I remember them being better when they first opened, but maybe today was an off day? CHIPS & GUAC (4/5) - Chips came out hot and glistening, so I assume they are freshly made. The guacamole was good, but it lacked depth. It was creamy, not spicy, and salsa costs extra. I personally like it without salsa, but I can see this turning people off. LAMB QUESABIRRIA (3.7/5) - Consommé felt a little flat. I personally have had better consommé tbat was richer in flavor. It came out piping hot. Overall, it was good but given the price and flavor I wouldn't get it again. COD TACOS (4/5) - Again, portions are on the smaller side. The cod is small, and I couldn't really taste the salsa too much, but the fish tasted great and was nice and crispy. HOUSE LEMONADE (5/5) - Refreshing and sour :) SERVICE: They could probably use another waiter/waitress. Friendly and helpful, but it's a little slow. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but I'll stick to ordering takeout or coming here for the bar only.

Our waitress accidentally thought we had only ordered six tacos instead of twelve, so we initially received six tacos, one side of rice and beans, and were still waiting on our drinks. When she came by and noticed one of us wasn't eating, she asked if we were waiting on anything. We explained that we were still supposed to receive six more tacos, another side of rice and beans, and our drinks.
