Taqueria Milagro was recommended to us by our neighbor. Upon approaching the establishment, my husband and I realized that this used to be one of the Tlaquepaques. We haven't been to this location in a while and had no idea that it was under new ownership. We arrived at the restaurant around 6pm on a Sunday. There were several guests dining in, but we had no problem being seated. Loved how colorful and decorative it was inside. Way to celebrate Mexican heritage! Customer service was pretty good. Wait staff came to check up on us often, and our food came out shortly after we ordered. I felt that the food at Taqueria Milagro lived up to my neighbor's hype. The chips and salsa were solid. My husband got a carne asada street taco, and I got the shrimp street taco to whet our appetite. We also shared their mix fajitas, which came with juicy chicken, plump shrimp, and steak. Great service, good food, and outstanding margaritas. We usually beat the rush - many arrive after we're seated and placed our order. You can't go wrong with a margarita. They're served in big heavy glasses with or without salt. The waitresses are super sweet and helpful. I like how they have their hair tied back with a ribbon. Authentic Mexican art and tiles are displayed all around. I like the tacos, not a fan of the torta because it fell apart as I picked it up, the sope wasn't memorable. I didn't ask for street tacos And ALL the tacos had so much hot hot HOT salsa on them we couldn't eat them. The adults scraped off the salsa, and they were still too hot. Taco the Town Locally-owned Mexican restaurant that took over (±4yrs ago) the OG Tlaquepaque (aka "Masters of the Mexican Munchies" [IYKYK]), which had been in operation here for over thirty years. The Good: *Covered outdoor parklet that I'm assuming is dog-friendly *Great staff *Full-bar with beers on-tap *Complimentary chip and salsa :) *Interior is bigger than it looks from the outside. *Blueberry-Jalapeño Margarita was delicious. You could definitely taste the Blueberries, and the spice and flavor of the Jalapeños was on-point. It also had a nice kick from the tequila, so that's always a bonus. *Very reasonable pricing, especially for a sit-down restaurants *Love the décor *Tacos were delicious and seasoned expertly. I don't think their tortillas are handmade, but they're definitely a higher caliber than your typical grocery store tortilla. The Meh: *Parking is very limited with just a few shared spots out front. There is some (free) street parking, as well. *Menu isn't terribly exciting, but it should have all your Mexi favorites on it. *They need a better hot sauce selection. I'm not sure why they have Tabasco. But not Tapatío or Cholulua?? The Ugly: *I'm not sure why Yelp just changed the name of the business and allowed them to keep the old reviews from the OG Tlaquepaque. Don't judge a book by its cover. I work very close to this restaurant and several months ago, I was brought here to celebrate my birthday for lunch. I was impressed. The street tacos are on point. Both the carnitas and Al pastor are excellent. Their homemade tortilla chips are delicious and fantastic guacamole. Their churros are very good as well. The service is friendly and interior is very festive. It's a lot bigger than you would think! I finally brought John here the other night for dinner and he enjoyed it as well. This place is on Lincoln just past the Curtner intersection. It's a casual place that has a large menu including alcoholic drinks. The complementary chips were very hard and, unfortunately, cold, so I did not eat them. I had the "choose your own" combo with 3 items, cheese enchilada, chili rellenos, and a chicken super soft taco. Everything was good. I think it was odd that the super taco did not come with sour cream, but in any case I ordered some on the side. My husband had a milanesa steak torta. It was huge, and came with thin, crispy French fries. He enjoyed it and could only finish half. The service was excellent. This place has fast service majority of the time and delicious food. Their Caldo de pollo is my favorite for chilly days or when I'm not feeling great, so I'll order to go! We also like their enchiladas verdes, burritos, and shrimp tacos! Their packaging is great when you do to go orders. I like that they have alcohol/beer options as well so everyone can enjoy. The ambiance great, chill, welcoming, and beautiful art on the walls. The only thing that can improve is their parking situation, they needs more parking spots but the minimum spots affect all those shops near them. First time coming to Milagros and it was on my Yelp bucket list for places to try. Walking in the night was slow and many of the tables were empty so we got seated very quickly and got our order taken fairly quickly too. I'll be honest the ambiance was very slow and chill. Open the menu and it had a happy hour menu, so I ordered off the happy hour menu only to find out that happy hour was over. My suggestion don't put the happy hour menu in the menu. FOOD Started off with chips and salsa and the salsa was pretty good. It had a kick to it. I like that the chips were the thick chips and not the ones that break when you try to pull some salsa out of the bowl. Guacamole in my opinion was a small portion for over nine dollars but it was pretty good and creamy but a little heavy on the lemon and It just needed a dash of salt and some heat. Decided to check this place out for dinner and not sure what I expected. It was cutely decorated with beautiful art indoors and had a nice spacious patio for outdoor seating. There were various dishes to choose from on the menu. I ordered the super quesadilla with carne asada. While waiting for our food, they provided some chips and salsa which had a good and tasty kick to it. When I received my quesadilla, I was surprised to see the salsa, sour cream and guacamole on the side when it's usually placed inside the quesadilla at other places I've been too. It was a decent size but biting into it, I realized there was no meat and cheese filling at least one inch from the tortilla border. It was crispy on top but soggy underneath. There definitely was not enough sour cream, salsa, and guac either so I felt like I was eating a bland quesadilla. The individuals in my party also were not impressed with their dishes. The posted hours are until 9 so I'm not sure what's up. The food is not what it was. The Salsa is now a thin red salsa - the avocado chunks are gone. Likewise, the Al Pastor burrito now seems filled with ground pork (filled is being generous) . The delicious marinated pork chunks are gone. The food is a solid 3 but, in this area, you can do better. Hours are until 8 with last seating at 7:30 except Friday and Saturday which are open until 9. read more

My family member and I came to this restaurant for breakfast on Sunday morning, we saw a TikTok about it making the breakfast food look really good for business promotion ... that should've been my red flag we came to the taqueria and the smell in that place was foul, they had banda playing at 9am which I know they're a Mexican restaurant but if it's early maybe they should've had something more settle since it's the morning still.. Other than that we had chips that tasted like they were fried in old oil, we got green chilaquiles that didn't even taste fresh, next day pico de gallo, cold salsa verde on top of old tortilla chips that they used for the chips you eat while you wait for your food. The menudo was really salty and you could tell it was next day heated food. I would not come here again. I decided to comeback next day and bring my mother. I chose a hot spot once in a while in till I find another one. Let me tell you that this is the one now. To day I visit again for breakfast and Marlene was the one helping us. She is very kind and gives us some recommendations as well. The place is clean and fresh and the ambiance is one of the best. Haven't been here in a few years. First two visits over a year ago, were just ok. Went today for a late lunch with coworkers...wow!!!! Yummy chips and salsa, and great aguas. I love this place. I probably eat here 1-3 times a month. I've tried a variety of items, such as their burritos (regular, super, breakfast, wet), tacos, mole, torta, and I've never had a bad meal from here. Their food feels authentic and comforting. I believe the restaurant is family-owned and operated, and all the staff are so kind. If you dine in, they always provide some house-made chips and salsa, which is the tastiest! This restaurant is located at the cross-section of a residential street and decently busy one, so parking isn't too abundant. Their "lot" has a few spots and is a bit limited, but there is some street parking on the next block and possibly in the neighborhood. Fortunately, seating inside is quite abundant. Even when they're busier, I've never had to wait for a table. I typically eat here with my partner and our dog because this place has a really nice & covered outdoor dining situation. Often times, we are the only table outside, but I've never felt neglected or forgotten. The restaurant feels a bit like a hidden gem because I can't believe it's usually packed!
