This establishment is next to a park. It was such a nice find, right after dropping off the boy I came to enjoy a hot oat milk latte with a splash of cafe de olla house made syrup. Friendly staff and strong coffee. I will return.

It's hard to find good 4th wave type single origin coffee in LA unless you're in the pocket of DTLA, Echo Park and out west towards Santa Monica. It's great to see Patria in this part of town that has great quality single origin coffee. Located alongside the Alameda Corridor, you wouldn't expect such a place in a semi industrial area. The cold brew here serving up coffee beans from Nicaragua was smooth and refreshing. Seating here somewhat minimal with patrons on their computers and chilling. While you're here, check out the Kobe/Gianna mural next door at Wilson Park and the defunct skatepark.

Was in the mood for some coffee before work but did not want to get st*rbucks. Wanted something more niche and found this place! I ordered a hot Cafe de Olla Latte w/ oatmilk, and it did not disappoint. It's a cafe where you would want to come in & sit down to get some work/studying done because it's cozy and the service is great!

Cute lil spot, was down the street waiting on some food and good ole yelp led me to patria. Service is good, love the decor, homage to the people, local vendors set up and they have their own organic beans. I should have ordered my regular vanilla latte and then I looked at my what they are known for the cafe de olla, so I ordered a warm 1 shot of espresso cafe de olla latte ... it needed to be a lil sweeter for me, it was strong. I will certainly be back and order a VL. Uhhhh I also got their ham and cheese croissant, bomb! French cheese and ham, yummy.

Really good coffee taste the cinnamon coffee very helpful good customer service got good pictures and arts work I even took one for my Girlfriend she loved it also loved the almond croissant

Incredible cafe in Compton! My friends and I stopped here on our way through town, and we were not disappointed. This local spot was super busy, with customers and their pets everywhere. I loved the bearded dragon!! I loved the equality support billboards and local business support. There was also a nice little library section. The coffee was amazing, and the workers seemed really nice. Great spot and would come again.

This was a super small cafe! Parking was super limited and the cafe was not busy. The staff were super friendly and the service was extremely fast. We ordered the Vanilla Bean Iced Latte and the Hazelnut Iced Latte and both were really tasty. They both had a lot of flavor, but the vanilla latte could have been a bit more creamy! When we got there they didn't have a great selection of snack items to choose from so we only got the coffee. This cafe is a bit far from us so we unfortunately wouldn't be back unless we were in the area, but we are glad that we went to try it out!

This coffee shop is located right by the court house and in the Compton neighborhood There's plenty of parking outside There's lots of space to sit to chat or work inside The aesthetic is clean, and lots of plants inside. For a small local coffee shop They have a good selection of coffees, teas, and pastries. I got the cafe de olla iced with oat milk It was so delicious too the last drop. It was creamy, nice hint of cardamom I will definitely be back!

When I arrived I was greeted by Ellie, at the door who was actually hanging a yelp sticker on the window. She was very nice and pleasant. I was unsure of what to order and so I explained to her the flavor I was looking for, and she was able to tell me what to order and how to enhance the flavor that I was looking for. I ordered the Ibarra Mex Mocha with a splash of vanilla. It was perfect, not bitter and not sweet just perfect. Also ordered a croissant, I believe it was the everything croissant, which was outstanding. The ambience was nice and trendy. It did not feel like Compton. It felt like an Echo Park or Eagle Rock atmosphere. Way better than Starbucks.

Located in Compton, this small coffee shop has good coffee! The vanilla latte is delicious! This is my 10th time coming and I'm glad there is a local coffee shop near my job where I can stop by before work or a mid day pick me up. Great customer service. All coffees are made to order and they use organic coffee. I've also tried the vegan desserts they have and they are delicious! read more

Discovered this Compton coffee shop via IG... having been born and raised in Compton I had not heard of this hidden gem. Nevertheless, this past weekend I stopped in for a cup and even purchased a bag to take with me to Texas where I am for the next few weeks. First time visiting this week and everything is AMAZING! They have their own parking (which is hard to find on this street), their menu is great, and delicious pastries. The best part was their customer service. My boyfriend got an ice coffee and was having a hard time likening to his taste when Jovani (I believe that was his name) offered him another item on the menu for free! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Highly satisfied customer! read more

A cute and clean coffee shop that has a very nice barista and a clean bathroom as well! Unfortunately they don't have chai yet but they will be expanding their menu soon. There is a lot behind it that was full but there's neighborhood parking which is nice. I had a vanilla steamer that was the perfect guzzling temperature and taste. Thanks! read more

Best place ever!! The coffee, the coffee cake!!?? *chefs kiss* it's really an amazing place. I can't wait to frequent it regularly after the pandemic. Great coffee, good vegan options, and a bomb cold brew hibiscus/lavender tea. Cool industrial look inside and good music selection (playing Noname as I write). Latin inspired coffee and food options like Cafe de Olla and vegan conchas. All the coffee is roasted on site too! Highly recommended. read more

Delicious little treasure! My friend and I tried this new-ish (only 8 months old) coffee cave in the city of Compton for the first time this morning. We were first struck by the aroma of coffee beans in the air as we entered. The staff were warm and welcoming - very willing to make suggestions and provide tasters. The Cafe de Olla was a perfect balance of sweet spice and coffee and paired well with their moist coffee cake. The Guatemalan photo exhibit added to the ethnic and academic atmosphere which made it a great place to work. We will definitely be back!!! read more

Really loved the aesthetic of this place-very minimalist cute coffee shop. Their coffee is great and they do a great job of showcasing the authenticity of where it's from. Loved checking out the stories on the wall as well, definitely puts a personal touch on it. read more

Ive been coffee snobbing it for about 11 years, always looking for great coffee around the country during my trade show travels. I also pull shots at home and have had several coffee subscriptions from all the big roasters in the US. I can honestly say that Patria is up there among the best I have tasted for single origin espresso. The fact they have an excellent and passionate barista doesn't hurt either. I have seen him throw away shots I would have no problem drinking in a latte. This is how much of a perfectionist this guy is. The owner (roaster) went out of his way to roast and hold a bag of some awesome El Salvador on my departure day back home to SF bay area. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work! read more

High quality coffee, nice aesthetic. Perfect coffee shop. Personally I am a big fan of the cold brew, it was really smooth and flavorful. I could hang out in the shop for hours if given the opportunity. My only real complaint is that the coffee shop is too far away from me to be a regular customer. But if you are local to Compton it is a must. read more

I Love this little coffee shop. I walk in and they already know what I would be ordering. My favorite drink...Iced Mocha! And my daughter love they're hot chocolate and steamed vanilla. The staff is friendly and love being able to have a quick conversation with them without feeling rushed. I'm sad they close early, as I always get coffee craving in the morning and night. But hopefully with they're growing business that will change. If you've never been, I highly recommend Patria Coffee! read more

My first time at the shop but not my first time trying the coffee. This place is wide open and free WiFi is always a good plus. Nestor, the barista, is so nice and knows his stuff. He was very patient with my kids. The owners are great. Geofrey is really passionate about his coffee and his love for the city of Compton. Highly recommended! read more

I've lived in Compton since I was two but I would've loved growing up if Patria was in the community at the time. Patria doesn't feel like its gentrifying the neighborhood but it feels like the opposite, they give safe spaces to POC to celebrate their identities with all the events they put on and the exhibits they hold in the coffee shop. I have yet to find another coffee shop with coffee and environment as amazing as this one read more

The place is amazing. I've been searching for a great espresso near me and haven't been successful- until this morning. I was so impressed with the floral ending with each sip- rather than the typical bitter notes. I'm so shocked, it's so good. Definitely recommend this place. Very friendly staff as well. This place may strike the balance between hipster without selling out the community-- a difficult feat. Lots of kids with pink hair and ripped jeans. The menu is pretty simple. I wish there were more options for filter coffee or espresso. read more

I got the giblatar something like that I pronounced it wrong too. Anyway, it is delicious. A lot of people burn espresso but this place didn't. I wish I could have a coffee shop like this at home. I will be back to this coffee shop every time I'm in town. Thanks for the great coffee. read more

This place can get busy, so order ahead online if you don't want to miss out on treats. And don't forget your jacket. It's cold inside, as they need to cool the place for their espresso machine (or so I was told). They've changed up the chairs a bit to improve the ambiance, but it's more of a spot to grab a drink and go than hang out. My fav coffee shop in Gardena.

It does seem quite small when it gets packed, but there's a decent amount of table and seats. The price point is another downside here because their base rate for a drink is $6-$9 already without the charges for the milk substitutes and cream top added yet. Parking is also minimal in the front, especially on busier days or weekends.

I've been there a few times now, but unfortunately, the coffee didn't live up to the vibe. The drinks just felt a bit off for me--too watered down, a little too milky. The ratios seemed off, and while the flavors weren't unpleasant, there was nothing that stood out enough to make me want to come back for more. I like that they're going for that unique, niche spot vibe, but for me, the coffee needs to pack more of a punch. Hands down my favorite coffee shop. All the baristas are very sweet and give great recommendations. They are so patient and sweet! The last time I stopped by I was not in love with the drink, and the barista helped me find a drink that I like, and with no attitude! They also sell their own merch (Tshirts, canvas totes & tumblers!) , books and beautiful plants!
