Truly a five star shop when it comes to service and flavor. Another win in Grand Haven! Quite the town it is. We were warmly greeted and given the tour and background on the chocolates. All chocolates are made in house and all natural. The variety is endless and the staff helps guide you on popular flavors and what they recommend. We got a Bourbon Maple, Salted Butter Caramel, 68% chocolate, blue cheese and fig, and a couple others. UNREAL! So unique. So flavorful and very fairly priced. We also got some bagged goodies. It's so hard to narrow down what to choose because you truly want one of everything. The cash register is also dangerous because there's more caramels and cookies to choose from! Last minute we got 4 caramels for $5 and two cookies- Speculoos and Almond. Wow!! Again, five stars and an absolute must when you're visiting! Last thing I'll say is it really does give you the feeling that you're in a small Parisian shop. I felt like we transported once we walked in. They try their best to source local from the farmers market when they can, even freezing some of the fruit and get mint from the owners garden. Really nice place to buy chocolates, and they'll let you sample as many as you want, too, albeit in very small sampling sizes (1/12 of a piece). We spent a bit of time here this weekend, and the shopkeeper told us a little about certain chocolates they sell. I ended up buying a 2 pack, for about $5.20, as well as some chocolate-covered grapefruit peels. They also have macarons from Le Bon Macaron, in Grand Rapids, and all sorts of delicious chocolate that would make great gifts. They also wrap up your purchases very nicely, even if you're not buying it as a gift. Nice shop and I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

Wow, what an adorable little gem right in the middle of Grand Haven. The store is clean and inviting. The chocolate is truly the very best I've ever had; and pairs phenomenally with wine. Wowie wow wow. I have long been a fan of Patricia's chocolates, since they're available at my favorite tea shop in Kalamazoo, Chocolatea. It was such a treat to get to sample as many of the flavors as I wanted at this location, which has so many more flavors than what I'm used to having available. I especially liked the hazelnut one, which had a little bit of crispness to its texture, as well as some of the tea infused chocolates, featuring teas homegrown and Charlevoix Michigan. My friend and her daughters were shopping for Father's Day gifts for dad and Grandpa, and we all had the best time trying some of the flavors and putting together some special gifts. In addition to the amazing caramels and ganache chocolates in the case, there's also a zillion other chocolate tastic options here ranging from chocolate bark to drinking chocolate. I think I fell most in love with their Maple caramel sauce, but I bought the last bottle so if you're going to this store tomorrow you might be out of luck. They also make their own macrons, most of which have ganache enters but some of which have caramel centers. I splurged on a couple of the lavender ones. If you're getting something for a gift be sure to let them trick out your bag with one of their little Eiffel Tower doodads and a fancy little piece of tape. Stopped in here for the first time just hoping for a quick sweet after lunch and ended up staying and chatting forever and coming out with lots of chocolate! These are divine! Wow, the chocolates are locally made, many with local ingredients, and some of the best chocolates this dark-chocolate "snob" has ever tasted. Every time I have tried a bar with cacao content more that 70% it's been bitter - but not this ganache. Super smooth and complex. For the LOVE of chocolate these are simply marvelous!!! I must think I'm a chocolate connoisseur or something. I love chocolate and am partial to Godiva. Particularly the raspberry chocolate candy bars. Patricia has nailed her raspberry chocolates and they are BETTER than Godiva!! My Husband and I bought a box of six different chocolates. We split each piece in half after dinner and each ate one! One thing that sticks out is that Patricia grows a lot of the ingredients used in her creations and some others are Michigan grown!
