I want to start off by saying I did come in a rush before work to drop off a blouse, I did greet him initially but then I cut to the chase and told him what I needed and explained it was because I was going to be late for work and that must have pissed him off because after I told him i was from NY, he shared his rough experience from years ago and stated he would never go back because it was too fast paced and the people were aggressive. I felt that was an underhanded statement so I apologized for the way I came in multiple times.He did not acknowledge my apology at all. We chatted longer than what I intended and we were laughing but apparently he likes to hold grudges. He does work fast , I got the shirt next day , sent my husband to pick it up and he made a comment to my husband after confirming i was his wife saying,"you like them masculine" in Spanish. Never quoted me a price before I left and it came out to $30! cash or check ?! It was a long sleeve blouse , the arms were made shorter and the waist was taken in slightly I didn't even ask for next day I said in even 3 days was ok. My best guess is he took my demeanor personal even after I gave multiple apologies and charged me far too much and that comment to my husband was rude! I've gone to Patricio over the year for all my tailoring needs! He's tailored whole suits for me, jeans, shorts and down uniforms for Marines I know. Guy's a genius w needle and thread. Super friendly and very personable. High quality work, fast turnaround time and very reasonable prices but it's cash only! So if you need anything tailored this is the place to go! I wish there was a way to give 0 stars . Completely unprofessional . I had a dress I needed to get fixed I asked him for price before I left and he refused to give me a price , I had gotten quoted in a lot of nicer places $50 to fix at most $60 if I wanted it done the same day ( I had already gotten my waist altered at a a Place but in the moment didn't think the lenght was much of a problem and only did waist ) he tried to charge me $210 just to cut lenght just for the length. He kept laughing saying my dress was from china and contradicting himself he said I never asked him and that he told us he gave us a price and that he has cameras that recorded , which I said take them out because I'm sure of what happened that day then said he didn't have any . He even told me he wasn't gonna give me my dress , my mom has the same exact dress and got her dress fixed with him to and he said he charged $250 , more then me because she was big . He also refused to even touch the waist part on her dress bc 1. He quoted she was big and 2 that because it has rhinestones and that it wasn't possible ( clearly isn't qualified ) and yet had the audacity to say the place I went to alter mine from the waist charged so cheap because it didn't compare to him and that it was probably a lady who fixed it ( I don't think gender should have anything to do with skills ) they charged me $30 for the waist part and had it ready in 2 hours and did an amazing job , that he didn't even know it was already altered until I mentioned it . He also kept saying the reason he charged me so much and didn't give me a price before leaving was bc he needed to see the dress first ( mind you I tried the dress on and he measured the lenght before leaving ) also he said people already know how much he charged so he didn't care to mention . I believe this is a scam and doesn't tell you price before service bc he knows otherwise you won't leave it the item , and then when you come to pick up he expects you to be intimidated or embarrassed and end up paying his crazy fees or else he won't give you your item . read more

I know it's hard to find someone who tailors cosplays . The owner has been making hand stiched suits and wedding dresses since he was seven . Well he is 75 now. The best part is that he is cheap . He transformed this cheap Chinese made cosplay into a work of art for me . Most people would charge $300 and would take weeks to alter. But he can do really extreme alterations within 2-5 days and resonantly priced too. I'm recommending him 100% because many of us don't know how to alter clothes or even fix cosplays. When I explained the circumstances to Patricio, he told me "no worries...bring it down I will get this done for you in time for the service". if I could give him zero stars I would. My daughter had her bridesmaid dress altered here and he never gave her an estimate. The dress just needed to be hemmed so, being young and inexperienced, she assumed it would be affordable. When she went to pick up the dress, she was charged $120.00 for a hem! I believe he took advantage of her inexperience and ripped her off. How can a hem cost more than the dress?? I am furious! First off, know that the parking is assigned, even though there are no signs that tell you. I dropped off a pair of pants - simple hem all that I needed. I went back the next day to pick them up. Door unlocked, but no one in the shop. After a couple of minutes, I left the payment on the counter and took my pants. Worst of all, after trying them on at home, left pant leg is longer than the right, and the outside seam on the right leg flips out a little. Weird place and poor work! read more

Total SCAM. I brought in a dress to get hemmed. He took off 2 inches and then charged me $60! That's more expensive than the dress itself! There weren't any embellishments or embroidery on the dress either. It was a fairly simple fabric that is not difficult to work with. I feel robbed. I came here because the reviews were so great and they said he was affordable. That was the opposite of my experience. A simple hem should cost no more than $8-12. But $60? Ridiculous. I had to give some stars to write this, but truthfully I've not gotten service there.....yet It is my intention to go. Last year I wanted to get a dress hemmed up for a wedding but the hours for this business did not allow it in the short time I had. This year my daughter sent me something from a web page with the hours and I left work early to be at the store by 5 pm. only to discover they are closed on Mondays at 4 instead of 5 pm. I'm a new customer here and so far I've received great customer service and excellent work. I am a person who HAS to HAVE A tailor -most of my suits, business clothes and dresses. I also like to buy fabric and design my own dresses so I've been looking for a good tailor for a very long time. On my first visit, I brought in a dress that I had designed and had a seamstress make months prior. I wasnt satisfied with the seamstress work at all. She didnt consider the fabric when measuring my body so the dress did not fit tailor to my body as i requested. it was bulky and and hanging around the waist and was so tight around my hips I could barely get into it. So I choose to try Patricio's to see if they could fix what she had done. I am very pleased to say the dress fit me like a glove. lol, literally it fit like a glove. On my 2nd visit, I brought in a business blazer that needed to be taken in and shorten at the arms. He was able to take it in without any issues however one arm ended up being slightly longer than the other (not easily seen but I am extremely detail oriented). He fixed it without hesitation and it was ready for pick up the following day. I feel the five stars are absolutely needed because 1) the dress fabric was hard to work with and 2) tailoring a fitted dress for a curvy/"hourglass" body can be a real challenge, 3) They are ALWAYS so courtesy and provides a warm greeting every time I enter the shop. Took in my 70 dollar dress to get tailored here. Ended up paying 70 dollars for the alliterations. Nothing was done to my sleeves like he said he would fix, the clasps he put didnt even work! Very disappointed for it being my first and absolutely last doing business here! read more
