They didn't complete the recall on my car, the last step was to fully charge the car to ensure the level 3 charging recall fix was working and I got it back about half charged. We made the service appointment for the recall repair online and when I dropped off my car I was told that the technician was gone for the day (Friday) and we either had to leave the car over the weekend or come back on Monday. I could not again take extended time away from work on Monday (or otherwise) to come back for another appointment so I left my car and took their loaner. When I returned the car I didn't fill up the couple gallons of gas I used because the only reason I had to use a gas vehicle was because they didn't accurately coordinate that the correct technician would be available to service my car and I didn't have the time for a second extended visit. They told me that they didn't confirm whether the correct technician would be there for the service because we make the appointment online and refused to refund their gas charges. There is nothing noting that I needed to call to make a specific appointment and they made no apologies about the fact that they accepted my appointment without having the correct staff available for it. They could care less that I had to make two trips and were completely unaccountable for their system not scheduling service appropriately AND didn't even fully complete the recall. Dishonest dealership!! I spent weeks looking for a car and thought I could trust my salesman, Venki, and his manager, Anthony, when they told me they would fix an issue. I explicitly asked them about a crack in the window on the car and if it would be fixed prior to my purchase and they said yes. I took my car in today and all they did was seal the crack so it wouldn't spread. This is what they offer as CPO. By not being honest upfront that it wouldn't be "fixed" but sealed so it wouldn't spread, they took my autonomy away as a consumer to make an informed decision. It's the absolute worst feeling ever to spend your hard earned money and be told by the manager that is too expensive to completely replace. And I drove over an hour to get to this dealership where I felt treated like a dollar sign opposed to a person and a valued costumer. I paid over the Kelly Blue Book value for the used Nissan Sentra 2022, and they wouldn't negotiate on fees. Worst car buying experience to date. read more

I bought a Nissan Leaf in the summer of 2024 from Woodfield Nissan. The purchase price included a line item for a $4,000 rebate. I assumed it was a manufacturer's rebate or something like that. So I was surprised when, in April of 2025, I got a letter from the IRS saying that I (apparently) had transferred a Clean Vehicle Credit of $4,000 to Woodfield instead of claiming it for myself in my tax return. The problem is that I'm not eligible for that tax credit, so now I have to reimburse the IRS for the $4,000 that they paid to Woodfield. So the price of my car is actually $4,000 more than I thought it was, and I never would have purchased it for that amount. I contacted Woodfield Nissan about this, and they claimed that it was obvious that the "rebate" in our purchase agreement was a tax credit transfer, and that we must have talked about that at some point. But I'm confident that we never discussed the Clean Vehicle Credit because I would have told them that I'm not eligible for it. They basically confirmed that they didn't give me any disclosures and never put anything in writing, and essentially said that it was up to me to know that "rebate" = "tax credit transfer" and so I'm out of luck. So buyer beware - f you think a deal from Woodfield Nissan is too good to be true, it probably is! read more

ZERO INTEGRITY - don't even try to buy here unless you are very informed, won't accept half-ass answers, and can confidently stand up to bullying tactics. They had the model of a PHEV we wanted. We were clear with them that we were there to BUY. We came from out of state after setting an appointment with Giovanni. He was knowledgeable about the car, but either misunderstood or intentionally misrepresented a $1898 upcharge as being required to have the remaining manufacturer's warranty transfer to us. He offered to 'waive' the fee if we would forgo the warranty - which isn't a thing for the remaining manufacturer's warranty. (It was really an extended warranty.) We also weren't going to pay $399 for VIN etching on the window that we didn't need. (Other dealerships in IL also charge this, but it was waived where we ultimately bought bcz why would we pay for a service we don't want or need? This isn't a charge that we've run across in WI.) When Giovanni couldn't answer our detailed questions about the charges or financing options... enter Mario the Bully, apparently a finance guy. Mario charged into the negotiation, not introducing yourself (I interrupted him to stick out my hand and say "HI, I'm Diana. What's your name?"), using rapid loud speech (as if that makes what you're saying important? no, it's just rude), and demeaning your colleague (questioning Giovanni's offer to waive the $1898 fee and ordering him to go find brochures, presumably for the extended warranty, but Giovanni didn't seem to know what brochures Mario wanted him to find). We are no spring chickens so obviously we've been through the car buying process a few times, we have excellent credit, and were going to put 1/3 of the cost down and finance the balance. At the point Mario said the $399 VIN charge was "italicized" (pre-filled) on their dealership form therefore it couldn't be changed, I knew we were leaving when my husband said sarcastically, "Well, if it's ITALICIZED!" He stood up, stuck his hand out to shake goodbye, said "Thank you for your time," and we left as Mario was saying, "There's a lot of room here...I want to work with you on this." Really? Work with us on the fees that you just said couldn't be changed. We're intolerant of the game playing. We even stated that we understand that they need to make as much profit as possible, we just want an honest negotiation. An hour or two later, Mario called to try to negotiate. My husband told him we had wanted to buy the car and fully intended to work out a deal until he LIED to us. About an hour after that, while we were finalizing a deal on the SAME car year and model at Golf Mill Ford in Niles, IL, Giovanni texted saying he had "finally" gotten Mario to agree to waive the $1898 and $399 fees and accept our offer. WHATEVER, they were both probably pissed they lost a sure thing (we were buying the same car on the same day for a whole $20 more out-the-door after all) and were hoping we'd be open to a contact from Giovanni since Mario had Zero credibility with us. Had they just been straightforward - - and explain the $1898 charge so we could negotiate instead of purposely and obviously trying to scam us into excepting something we didn't need or want - we probably could have come to a deal. We left feeling like we needed a shower. We drove to Golf Mill Ford in Niles, IL where the staff in all the roles we encountered were great. We had a nice experience and left them a 5-star review on Yelp. (I've never left such a long, negative review for anything before but these guys at Woodfield Nissan earned it with their brazen lying.) read more

If I could give zero stars I would first of all I don't even know where to begin, but let's begin with the girl that answers the phone in the service department. Absolutely the most rudest person I have ever encountered in my life how she has a job still I will never know , she must be family lol Now we're gonna move onto the service department I brought my car in for service because it was dying out. Told me nothing was wrong with the car. The check engine light was on the whole time and they told me that I had to pay $229 to reprogram my car because that's why it was dying out and the check engine light was on because I needed to be reprogrammed!!! and all of my life. I've never had a car that needed to be reprogrammed. I told them absolutely not they had me come pick up the car. They did reprogram it. I left there and made it 10 blocks in my car DIED OUT I had to wait three hours for their tow truck to come and bring me back there where they finally said oh it needs a full body throttle. OK whatever that is so they put a new one in gave me the car back in the meantime, I had the breaks done there they quoted me 400$ I went to pick up the car. The price was $698 when I asked what it was for they said the brakes even though they quoted me for 400$ for the brakes..... there was so many additions and minuses in the invoice that it couldn't tell what I was being charged for and what I was not being charged for , got home and figured out that I overpaid called spoke to the service manager who said you have to wait for your service guy to come back so we can go over everything , the service guy came back and said they weren't gonna refund me any money so I said I was gonna dispute the charge. It's only fair cause I'm not overpaying , also keep in mind that my car had to be towed back there because they didn't do the work the first time all they did was shut off my codes and charge me $229 to do that . now fast-forward a month later my check engine light is on again. Take it to a different dealership who is very professional and they tell me that it needs CO2 sensor, which is what it needed two months ago !!!!! if the work would've been done correctly the first time I would not even be back in a dealership right now !!! We have been a customer at Woodfield Nissan since 2010, when we purchased a vehicle for my mother. We were so happy with the experience that both my brother and I also purchased cars from this shop in 2012 and 2013, respectively. We have been servicing our vehicle at Woodfield Nissan the entire time and received honorable service from the service department. This is not the case anymore. On August 10 of 2024, I went in for a regular oil change. After the oil change, I had a service engine now light on the car. The service advisor made no mention of it. I noticed the light after I got home. I didn't have the time to take it back as I was going out of the country that week, so chalked it up as something that I needed to address when I got back. A week later, Woodfield Nissan sent me a survey asking to rate my satisfaction, and in the survey I mentioned that the service was not the greatest because I had a check engine now light after the oil change. The service manager contacted me and said that I should bring my car in again and they would inspect it at no cost. I told the service manager that I was out of the country and I would come back after I returned home. On September 9th, I took my car in to diagnose the issue, and after the service was complete, I drove about 2 mins and noticed that my check tire sign was on. I turned around and took the car back right away to the Nissan shop and did a visual inspection to find that a wood stake was hammered into my passenger rear tire. It was on the side of the tire, at an angle, and in my opinion, there is a very low chance that this could've happened organically, unless I hit a side walk (which I did not). I did not wood stakes in the their parking lot, and I barely left their premises. The location of the stake also made it so that I would have to replace the tire. Wood Nissan took the position that this happened on the road so they would not cover the cost of the replacement. The service manager said that he wanted to keep the damaged tire overnight to see what he can do. I agreed to his request because he committed to calling me back the next day. I waited for his call till 2 PM, and finally called myself, only to find out that the service manager was not in that day and I had to call back the following day. I was driving around to appointments with a spare, and couldn't put a new tire on for 2 days, as they had my wheel. It doesn't smell right that this happened right after I provided negative feedback about the advisor, and it was the same advisor that checked me out the second visit. It also is very unprofessional of the service manager to commit to something when he was not going to be in the shop. I could've had a blowout or could've gotten hurt. Overall, they lost a loyal customer, and I hope they have a plan to address gaps in their customer service so that they don't lose more. read more

So I went to Nissan woodfield yesterday to buy a used 2022 Nissan leaf. When I arrive I ask about the up to $4k (think it can't be more than sales tax based on recent research) federal used ev rebate, and then I was told the online price actually included this $4k rebate so they increased the sales price. But they gave me an instant rebate of $4k netting this increase to 0, so we proceeded. After we settle on price and have the check written, they start asking me how much my husband made as they said they were going to apply for the tax credit on our behalf. I did read online that dealerships were offering the tax credit as an instant rebate, but like I said, none of this was discussed before, just that it was added at the top and removed at the bottom, netting 0. Now I'm getting a phone call that they can't get the rebate and that I have to return the car for a refund or pay more money!! And btw, nothing was mentioned anywhere on the site about the fact that the purchase price included anything about any rebates being assumed. In fact, I used buy at home and the amount shows $0 in rebates plus the total was $2k less than what I had to pay at the dealership (apparently for some vin etch and some interior/exterior insurance that has to be paid with a certified Nissan car, which this is). I read other reviews where something similar happened, but this is just ridiculous!! Update: I researched and found out no one can qualify for the used car ev credit since they priced themselves out of the credit by increasing the car sales price (by adding the $4k tax rebate to the sales price plus some $2k required warranty for certified cars) over the $25k max!! read more

Called Woodfield Nissan at 1:27 p.m. to verify a 2019 Armada was still on the lot to test drive. Eddy checked and assured me it was available. Told him wanted to be sure - coming from Chicago and on my way. ETA around 2:15 p.m. Received confirmation text at 1:32 p.m. reminding me of our appointment (at 2:30 pm?) . Arrived at 2:07 p.m. - and said I have an appointment with Eddy to test drive the 2019 Armada. Another salesman said it's already SOLD! Told him I had an appointment and came from Chicago! He said well it sold since you spoke to him. REALLY -- in 37 minutes from the confirmation ---BS! It takes time to test drive and do all the paperwork! Certainly more than 37 minutes! Even if that was true be respectful and CALL ME!!! I'm self-employed and this cost me time and $$$. OK ---this is a known tactic by salesman to get you in the door! WOW, what a great buying experience. Of all the cars I looked at the one I bought here was in the best condition. Ali in sales was a real pleasure to work with. helpful and no games. Honestly all of the sales people I met were very polite. Dan in finance did his job and stayed out of the way. No shenanigans and had us on our way in no time. While driving away in my new (preowned) car I noticed something small that I had overlooked in the test drive. Avoid buying a car here. We are currently Nissan a car from them and it's a waste of time every time we have to come for regular scheduled service. It's a joke to get an appt time because they don't care they just go buy first come first served, so it doesn't matter how small the service is, always takes over two hours because they move people ahead of you. The personnel is not friendly or professional, expect to be bounce around on the phone if you have any issue. Last time we came for service, they forgot to put the passenger mat in the car, when I called to let her know, they said someone would drop it off, two weeks later nothing, I asked for the mat to be shipped but they refused again said the manager would drop it off. Three weeks later the mat was in the front door, no apologies or call back from anyone. You are better off buying a car from a different dealership or from a different brand, too late now for us, next car we are going to Toyota. Hope this helps read more

Another shady and horrible experience at Woodfield Nissan. A few hours ago I brought my Nissan in for ANOTHER RECALL due to the dim headlight issue (not to mention I almost have had a few accidents because the headlights are so dim). After waiting for a little over an hour, Victor (my service advisor) came and gave me a little red piece of paper (shown in the photo) and said someone will call me about my headlight replacement. Victor went on to say the headlights are on backorder and he doesnt know when they will be coming in. I asked for a receipt or some sort of documentation for proof of my visit today at the service department due to there being a an expiration date on the amount of time I could have my headlights replaced under the recall. Victor there was no receipt to give and to use the red piece of paper as my proof. I the demanded to see the service manager. Victor then left and came back shortly stating there is no manager available. After pressing him more for some type of documentation of my service visit, he reluctantly gave me a 1 page copy showing my visit to the dealer. After going over the 1 page document it states that a 27 multi point inspection was done and to provide the customer with a copy of the report (I WAS NEVER GIVEN A COPY OR ASKED DID I WANT ONE). This incident happened at approximately 12:25pm if the powers at be needs surveillance proof. I feel as though the headlights were not going to be ordered and im to be left waiting indefinite until time expired for me to claim my replacement of my headlights with no actual proof but a red piece of paper. I am a minority. Nissan recently settled out of court for charging black customers more. There are also other complaints(GOOGLE IT!)against Nissan trying to get over on minorities. My lease on my Rogue is up at the end of 2019, and I was contacted by Dana who promised me that I could trade my vehicle in for newest model and same monthly payments, with no new money down. I was skeptical so I asked for written confirmation twice before making drive. It was all a LIE. The new lease was $85 more per month and the manager, Jason, said, "Sorry." After I did some quick calculations, it turns out that the increased payment interestingly enough covers a "down payment" of $3k (but I don't need to put any new money down, right?!) Further, her explanation given is not affiliated to the package referred to. 5 days total, 6 hours total and finally someone, NOT affiliated to this dealership, easily and correctly explained the package and choices to me. It is NOT necessary to enroll in a Nissan Connect Pkg (which are services through the APP only) unless you prefer enhanced options such as Emergency Button, Road Service thru Nissan Connect to call for you, Valet Tracking etc. The services of Keyless entry, locking, navigation etc. - anything available on the Key Fob - remains . Enhanced services, through the App, are the offered options. Again, a representative of the dealership does not understand the services or has any concern regarding my frustration. If my company received a negative review we call the client....we don't ask the client to call us. Poor customer followup and service! But, again, they have the deal done and the money and that is the only concern obviously. read more

I was literally ignored. When I finally got the attention of one guy, he was arrogant and rude. Oh and of course they told me my car was worth less than even Kelly Blue Book low ball values. However, they never stop trying, even when I wrote a review directly to them explaining my distaste. That's why they are the #1 volume seller of Nissans in the Midwest. Doesn't matter how you get that number! Another note, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES DEPARTMENT. They have been consistently rude and unprofessional. These guys are not vultures, they are sharks. I bought my 2014 Nissan Rogue here with the salesman Latch. He is a very friendly and accommodating salesman. We worked out a great price for my '14 Rogue S with 3rd row seating. The sales experience is 4 stars. The financing department would be 1 star. I was added a $6k warranty that I did not need. It took about 2 months for the $6k to get refunded by the bank but it was a lot of phone calls to the loan officer and the Nissan warranty number. Just beware of financing and be sure to read each document twice and look closely at the itemized invoice!!!! A few months ago someone dinged my passenger side door really bad to the metal base. I brought it in to Woodfield Nissan's body shop to see what they can do to fix it. Wendy was really nice and took care of it. The buffing and sealing was complimentary. It looks as good as if it never happened! 5 stars for Wendy at the bodyshop! Yesterday I went for my first of 6 complimentary oil changes. It was supposed to be express but they were a bit full. So it took about a little over an hour. 4 stars for the oil change! Overall, I really give them 4 stars. They have friendly staff and I like their interior (the waiting areas are huge). I live within walking distance from Mid City Nissan and I would choose driving 45 min to Woodfield Nissan for all my vehicle needs. If you just bought a Gray Juke, you bought a car with an accident that you dont know about. I felt very offended with the attitude that their boss came at us with. I could see his hands shaking when he approached us as the adrenaline was rushing through his body... as he defended his stance on not fixing anything. He was rude and cold.  I clearly understand that this company was not making money on this car after about a month of sitting on their lot, but the mechanic found things wrong with the car that could make it dangerous to drive with. My safely is important and for him to state that he would mark 500 bucks off and not deal with any of the items that were wrong with the car, is disappointing. I actually owned a 2012 juke and it was in fantastic condition with almost 100 k miles on it before it was hit in a 5 car accident from behind. So for their boss to say it's an old car & it will have many problems for its age, and basically trying to tell me that's the best I'm going to get, is ridiculous. That's an excuse. Their website made this car seem like it was in great functioning order. I just wasted $75 on verifying the condition of the car, something I would think their mechanics would have done.  "At Woodfield Nissan, we treat our customers like they are the most important people in the building, because they are. Without your support we would not be one of the best car dealers in the Midwest, and we know that without our amazing customer service our customers would not keep coming back like they do."  That's a joke. It took everything I had not to tell their boss off. I felt the opposite of a" most important person". I felt anger and disappointment from him... Probably because of all the issues the mechanic found. Knocking $500 off definitely would not cover the costs of fixing the car or guarantee that it would drive properly.  I mean just during the drive to the mechanic their guy tried using the wipers and they were nearly falling off! The hood was shaking with the wind and the mechanic didn't know if it could be bent back to its original position because of the accident which knocked the whole front end off of alignment. The wiring was showing a history of firing faulty codes that could possibly lead to an electrical misfire in the future and could affect the operation of the engine...let alone he said could cause a possible car fire.  $500 off and nothing more, is a slap in the face. I'm sorry they have a crappy car to sell that they were losing money on, and I see they just sold it to someone who doesn't have the complete picture of the car and has no idea it was even in an accident! I feel really bad for that buyer. I understand that they are not obligated to show the other car report, thank god I found it and I am an educated buyer!. I was fully ready to sign that night. Went to the dealership with a TrueCar quote from a different dealer and they agreed to match and that part was smooth. But the finance manager is a crook. He lied so much and gave me 4.7% even with my 750 credit score. On top of that he sneaked in a VIN ETCHING charge of $270 which he never disclosed. Emailed and called the dealership about this sneaky charge and their response was, they add that on top of TrueCar price which I'm sure is a scam. Also they said they add that to all of their vehicles. So if you don't want to pay the useless Vin Etching charge, I recommend going to a different Nissan dealer who match the TrueCar price 100%. read more

Nissan had a recall that cost us a broken windshield (which we fixed ourselves) and a near accident. The recall was about the hood latch. Talking to this place prior, they had no idea about it. We had to reach out to corporate Nissan in order for them to actually get a hold of the WOODFIELD Nissan and tell them to assess and fix. So we bring our car over, they assess it (took 3 days), they said it was a faulty hood latch and all damages to the car would be fixed. Nissan wouldn't give us a rental until it was deemed an actual faulty hood latch, which was ridiculous because hello, people drive in this day and age. Fast forward 3 weeks, and of course calls on a holiday weekend (Memorial day weekend), they call on a Friday to tell us our vehicle is ready and when we would like to pick up. We're busy with family and other things, we get another call Tuesday saying the same thing and that they have to put an end date on the rental so when would we like to pick up so that they can end it on that day. Mind you, we called Saturday and Monday because they're closed on Sunday, but no one answers of course with the many times we have called this place and get transferred to service. So it's Tuesday, Nicholas asks me what day can we come get it, I say tomorrow (aka today Wednesday), "ok, not tonight? Why? I need a reason to put down to extend" I say because I have a baby at home and my husband is at work, so he puts down "family". We thought everything was set at this time. Today comes around and my husband is picking up the car, they say they're charging us for the rental for an extra day? Excuse us? After you just said we wouldn't be charged, you needed a reason to extend the rental, you call on a holiday weekend, you also keep my car to be fixed for weeks, you don't do a 27 point or 32 point check after the fact to let me know if I need maintenance or anything else, it's YOUR vehicle that I bought at WOODFIELD NISSAN, that had the recall, and you charge us when you say you won't. Sold us a POS car, a couple-years-old used Nissan Rogue. The sales guy smooth talked us, showing us the Carfax with all these explanations about why this car might have changed hands so quickly. Told me their mechanics went over it and it was in great condition. Within a week of having the car it wouldn't start when I was leaving work. Then, a couple days later I drove it to Chicago and it nearly died on the road. It terrified me. We brought it back in, because there is a law in Illinois that you can return a used car within a certain time period, and they claimed they looked in over and gave us a new battery "for free." When I insisted on getting some paperwork they said they couldn't do that and basically pushed out us the door. The car continues to lose power randomly and we've taken it to other mechanics who can't determine the issue. Now here we are, in a freakin' quarantine, and the thing just won't start, despite it driving it every few days, having a full tank of gas, a recent oil change, and winter check up a few months back. Worst car dealership experience ever. I showed up, laid everything out on the table, and they came back with a price $150 a month over what we could afford. When i questioned the price they returned with a price only $60 above my bottom line on the same car and claimed they forgot to factor in our down payment. At that point i asked if they had another car that they could offer and they came back with a hard no. I asked if i could see on paper how they came to the total price and was denied there. The sales manager wouldn't take the time to listen to our needs and you could tell he did not want us as customers. I started hearing a popping noise coming from the back of my and so I called up the Woodfield Nissan Service Department and spoke to Mike. I told him that I was concerned that it may not be safe to drive so he told me he would squeeze me in if I head over right away. After they started to repair my car, I was speaking to Mike on the side and explained that I started going to Woodfield Nissan because the previous place I would go to always told me that I needed an alignment, yet next oil change I needed it again. After they fixed my car, they took it upon themself to try to figure out what was going on with the alignments. This has never been detected in previous inspections but this time they figured it out and I'm scheduled to finally get this repaired tomorrow. All of the people I spoke with or dealt with were great from Mike, to the mechanic and I even spoke to the service manager (Steve I think) who was also really helpful. There are a couple Nissan dealerships closer to where I live but it's definitely worth the trip to go to this one so they have my business as long as I own a Nissan. Thanks, read more
