Everyone begins a "poor" Yelp review with "if I could give zero stars, I would..." With this review, if there was a way to tell everyone (including non-Yelpers) about my experience, I would...and by the way, I'd still give them zero stars. My wife took two dress shirts and a pair of slacks into Pat's Cleaners off Pima road in Scottsdale last week. When she picked up the cleaning, she thought two things were odd: 1) One shirt was sandwiched in-between the other shirt and the pair of slacks. 2) The sandwiched shirt was not covered in plastic. Rather than spend a thousand words explaining what happened next, let me say this: the shirt with no plastic had been ruined by the cleaners. I've worn the shirt a total of [maybe] ten times, and when she picked it up (it was the one that was without plastic that they tried to hide) she was told that "the shirt was old and frayed." The sleeves and collar had been bleached white by what I assume was cleaning solution and when she pointed it out, he told her that it had come in that way. I can tell you, if that shirt looked like that when I wore it into the office the week before, I would have been laughed out of my bosses office. Now take a look at the pictures that show the rips in the shirt. Again, my wife was told that the shirt was old and that it was torn when it came in. Unbelievable. If it was torn when it came in, then why would my wife pay to have it cleaned? He offered her $3.00 for the shirt that THEY clearly damaged. So my words of advice are: go across the street. read more

I have been using Pat's Cleaners for 10 years. Pat Elson was in charge of their store that was on Frank Lloyd Wright. They closed that store and she is now at this store. She is the utmost professional. I walk in and she remembers how I want my shirts and cuffs starched, my jeans with a sharp crease and anytime their's been a mistake she makes it right. This establishment needs an adult not high school students to run the store. I arrived at 4:02 to pick up a dress I needed for Easter and the high school manager refused to provide me with the dress even though my credit card is on file. They close at 4:00 and said I needed to come back Monday! I feel an adult would've handled this differently. Prior to this I had taken my husband's Suit for dry cleaning and they shrunk it because they used over heating process. We realized this when he tried it on. he had just worn it the week before And it fit fine. There was no offer for any credit on the cleaning services either. Too many cleaner's in our neighborhood! In times of Covid they do not wear masks, they don't even ask their patrons who come in to wear masks, and when I asked them about it they said they don't have to. Well, they are part of Maricopa County and you have to wear a mask indoors. Not going back they lost me read more

My mother-in-law gave me a cotton black and white skirt. It was basically clean but had a few yellow areas so I searched out a dry cleaner that was green making a much longer drive than needed as I hate the smell of formaldehyde and other cleaners. When I dropped it off I specifically said I was bringing it in for the yellowing on some of the white areas and she marked the spots. When I picked it up the yellow was still there. I was told that they cannot get those spots out, that it was from either hanging in a closet for a long period of time or perhaps from hanging in the closet in a plastic bag. Had i known that I would have saved myself 1 hour and $10 as it did not need cleaning. read more

Their quality is good, but for their VERY high prices they should do a better job. Also, WARNING... they add a 15% "environmental surcharge" to every order. So for example I recently had two dresses, one pant, and one shirt cleaned, and they tacked on *another* $6.33. I called to ask them to explain what it was, and they simply said it's to cover their costs of disposing the chemicals. FYI I checked and the state of Arizona has no such charge imposed on dry cleaners, so this is something they simply make up to take more money from each customer. Properly disposing of any hazardous materials is obviously just a normal cost of doing business for a dry cleaner, so I don't understand why I am paying for it separately. Just build it into your prices. Also, they never fully cut off the plastic tags inside your clothing, which is lazy. I was sitting in an important meeting and something was repeatedly scratching my back. I had to excuse myself and go to the ladies room, and discovered that the plastic tags had not been cut out from inside the pants. They do this with everything. It will take another second literally for them to care enough to pull out that piece of plastic so the customers don't have to do it. Just lazy. I'm happy to pay more for better quality and service, but I just don't get this place. We just tried the new cleaners next to Sprouts and they are fantastic and literally half the price. So, I am looking for a dry cleaner and I call this place and ask the lady, can you please send me an email with your pricing. She says she is new and cannot help but the Owner Can. She asks and I can hear, "can we email a price list to this customer?" And he says in the rudest voice I can imagin for someone that works with the public, "TELL HIM NO WE CAN'T" If this was truly the owner, I cannot imagine someone talking to an employee this way, and not getting on the phone to find out how he can indeed help with my questions. If I could give them no stars I would. I used Pat's Cleaners and paid their higher prices believing they would do a good job. I was wrong! I took in a jacket to be dry cleaning and they washed it! If I had wanted it washed I would have washed it myself! The minute I got the jacket home and took it out of the plastic it was obvious it had shrunk and the color (black) was faded! I called immediately and the owner denied it was washed instead of dry cleaned. When I took it in for him to see he then admitted it had been washed, because it said according to the label it could be washed! It did not say "do not dry clean" he just decided to wash the jacket instead. I never gave permission for him to do that! If he didn't want to dry clean it he should have called! This was a new jacket I had only worn twice, He refused to give me money to replace the jacket or at the least refund what he charged me to "dry clean" it, instead he said the manufacture would replace it and gave me a letter to send to the manufacturer to say how he washed it. Needless to say, the manufacturer is not responsible for cleaners errors and I was out a brand new jacket. I would never take any clothes to this cleaner - the owner is rude and could care less about what they do to your clothes! read more

I was a 1st time customer, as this location. I came in with 2 black men's sweater vests and 1 black man's full size sweater. I specifically showed the intake person some white cat hair on each sweater and asked, "will this cat hair be removed when you clean all 3"? Answer, "yes". I asked if the sweaters will be pressed? Answer, yes. I was told all 3 will be dry cleaned. I came back 36 hrs. later as instructed. I paid the $26.28 cleaning fee and then I inspected the sweaters that were in the plastic covering, before leaving the store location. 2 out of 3 still had white cat hair on them. I had to send 2 out of 3 back to be re cleaned while I waited. read more

If I could give an zero star I would .... mike the manager is terrible and would not reimburse me for losing a $150 shirt and bleach stains on my pants. All my clothes were faded. They are Rude, unprofessional, and it was terrible service. I DO NOT recommend going to any of their locations and I am extremely upset. This is the worst place ever. Terrible place! They ruined one of my favorite sweaters and when I went back to see if they would help me repair it, they told me there was nothing they could do to help. They didn't even offer a discount on future business. I was appalled at the way they handled the situation. They also told me that my laundry would be ready next day upon drop off and when I went to went to pick my items up, they were not ready. Normally, I wouldn't care, but I was leaving on a trip to the east coast and had to rush then next morning to pick my items up as I was on my way to the airport. To add more insult to injury, when I got to my east coast destination, I wanted to wear one of the sweaters they dry cleaned and it had black stains a over it!! I was so angry! This place is terrible and I feel bad writing this review but I was disappointed by the service and their professionalism. DON'T GO HERE!!! read more

They did the job, but I did notice they wrote my name onto the tags in permanent marker. The pieces I took in were $200-$400 silk and wool. Now they forever have my name written onto the tags in sharpie. What if they hadn't been careful and gotten ink on my clothes? Not only is that unprofessional (my previous dry cleaner didn't do that), but it is altering the item! There is a market for secondhand high end clothing and now if I ever wanted to upcycle them they'll have my last name all over them (you could cut the tags but the tag has designer name, fabric etc so it really isn't an option). As other reviewer's have stated if I could leave zero stars I would. I dropped off four pairs of jeans to be pressed and told the gentleman at the front desk that I would not be back for probably for three to four months, he said no problem. I was not concerned as I've previously done this before several times, in the past they picked up a phone call to verify I still knew my jeans were there. This time I received no phone call (I still have the same #) went to pick the jeans up and I was told they were given to the Goodwill, I explained that the gentleman at the front desk had said it would not be a problem, they said he no longer works here and left no messages for calling me about my cleaning. They pointed out at the bottom of the ticket it said they were not responsible for items left over 30 days so there was nothing they would do or could do. I asked if I could obtain the owner's contact information and they told me no. There is absolutely no excuse for such poor customer service, the cleaning I lost cost over $400 to replace and all they could offer me was a $50 cleaning credit. read more
