Sunday menu feb 2019
Khanica M.

This is a southern home cooked restaurant. It was really good. We were on our way back to Atlanta and needed to get a bite before heading back on the road. Decided to stop by here and eat. It's very clean, and big. The staff was extremely friendly. The menu is limited on Sunday's. This place is like a Cracker Barrel. They have a store inside where you can buy canned items like pickles and etc, dishware, or just Knick knacks. They sell bird houses and water wells too!! If we are in Mccaysville again we will definitely be stopping by.

We stopped by on a whim, as the train was in town on July 8th. The restaurant was empty and the little store is sparse. We ordered grilled trout with hush puppies and onion rings and onions and tomatoes , fried catfish with fried yellow squash and french fries, chicken tenders mac n cheese and fried squash, chicken fried steak with onion rings and mac n cheese, pulled pork sandwich french fries, 1/2 pound hamburger with tater tots, grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The wait was a bit long. We noticed locals all sat on the others side of the restaurant as they came in. The food was fair, many frozen items like fries and onion rings. The best meal was the grilled trout, it was very good. We also really liked the fried squash. The other was just ok, typical quick and easy not seasoned real well. The restaurant was pretty clean and one of the waitress was wearing scrubs which was also unusual. Overall just an average place with average food. We will try others next time in the area.

I enjoyed the food here. I orederd the smothered steak, master potatoes and gravy, green beans and it came with banana pudding. I was surprised that it was seasoned good. There was more than enough gravy which was perfect for me because I love gravy. The hae good customer service was well. The only issue was that didn't have bathroom access, not sure why. We also had to eat outside, I'm thinking due to the virus.....

This is my second time here. Our church group tubes the Taccoa River and stop here for dinner. We had about 50 in our group. The family style option is the best choice. So much good home cooking. They have corn bread, biscuits, fried chicken, green beans, real mashed potato's, Mac and cheese, fried okra, chicken fried steak, gravy and it was all amazing. They also have amazing desserts. The staff is so friendly. They treat you like family. The waitress's Mom is the cook and she came out and gave us a hug. If I lived in the area I would eat here frequently. Well worth the visit if you want homemade "home cooked" food. Check out my pic. Also, the place was very clean and tidy.

Decided to try this place while vacationing in Blue Ridge, GA to get some country cookin. The restaurant is very casual has a nice little store when you enter. The food was just ok. I had the country fried steak and mashed potatoes with Black eyed peas. I would have to say the that their biscuits, corn bread and hush puppies weren't that good and were very dry. Overall it was an ok experience. You should be aware that there are several mason jars and other items on display in the restaurant (some with price tags on them) but they are NOT for sale.

I've eaten here a few times and it's always good! It's just good ole southern cooking from fresh produce and local trout and meats. It's priced very cheap for the amount and what you get! I always order trout both grilled and fried. The servers are always sweet and fast to get you anything you please that's available. The restaurant is family owned and you will see family pictures on the wall. There is a small shop at the front with local crafts, Patsy's canned goods and many more things. I find it very clean and everything I look for in local flavor! Look at the daily specials too!

Everything canned, frozen, and unseasoned. Nice people waiting tables, cold people elsewhere. Flavorless flake mashed potatos, overcooked pasta and little cheese on Mac n cheese, collars that tasted like lawn clippings. Canned ham, microwaved chicken fingers, and MRE-quality chicken and dumplings. All the flavor of a Picadilly, the selection of a hot dog stand, and the seasoning of a senior home. Avoid. Go anywhere else.

I always enjoy Pat's Country Kitchen's old-fashioned country cooking. The friendly atmosphere brings back memories of Grandma's cooking.

The best place to eat in McCaysville in my opinion. We had the breakfast and it was insane. Service was excellent. Enough said. :)

When the special of the night is "Alfredo... with chicken, pork, or steak, take your pick!" and it's also already on the menu... this is a red flag. I quickly started scanning the menu for something that might not give me food poisoning. When the food is stored in outside freezers and there's a horde of live cats running around everywhere... it's a red flag. I love good bar food, but this was not good. My wife's Philly Cheesesteak tasted like propane gas. My chili dog was on par with something you might get at a junior high football game. Even my kids rejected their chicken tenders, which is saying something. Just 100% industrial, frozen, crap. The $13 margarita was even bad. It tasted like bad sour mix and may have had a drop or two of tequila in it. Giving one star for the server, who tried her best. And the location on the river was very nice. Service was slow too though. This was the worst $85 "dinner" I've had in a very, very long time. For the love of god, reduce the size of your menu and do a few things really well. No one wants a bunch of frozen entrees at a bar.

I wanted to try their pancakes but didn't want a full stack, and our server Robin was wonderful in recommending the Sweet Start. One thing we really appreciated is that all breakfast entrees include coffee or tea, and the prices are already very reasonable. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we ordered specialty coffees, we could still enjoy complimentary refills of regular coffee. The restaurant has a charming and unique atmosphere, with every table looking a little different from the next. For my meal, I ordered the Sweet Start, which included one pancake, eggs, and bacon. I also appreciated the transparency from the staff. When I asked for an extra serving of their homemade pecan butter, I was informed upfront that there would be an additional charge....a level of honesty that's surprisingly rare these days. My husband ordered the Banana Nut French Toast comes with homemade whipped cream and homemade pecan butter, which also came with bacon. He added a side of eggs as well. Everything was delicious. I'm especially particular about pancakes, and I can honestly say they serve some of the best pancakes I've had. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy all the staff seemed to be. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely return the next time we're in the area.

Crafted custom iced coffee was ordered and delivered directly from the barista. We ordered the Hot Honey & Pimento Cheese Fried Chicken Biscuit and the Brisket Hash. Absolutely delicious! I think you turned me into someone that will eat them again. The brisket hash was so good and the Certified Angus Beef was absolutely flavorful. Very nice atmosphere, very well maintained and recently vacated tables attended to quickly. The staff was super friendly and definitely a must go to place when in the area.
