Patsy's is our family's favorite get together dinner place and every time we go, it's an amazing experience. Food is awesome, service is wonderful, special shout out to Bernard (hope I'm getting his name right) for being our helpful and accommodating server. Looking forward to many more dinners there!

The ambiance of this place is remoantic and relaxed. It was pretty empty when we came on a Tueaday night at 8pm. They have both interior and outside seating. The service was poor. The waitress came over took our orders and came back one time. I had to go to the bar and ask for another drink, this was after we had made eye contact numerous times she continued to sit at the bar folding napkins. When I got to the bar she did not even move then. we received more attention from the bus boy then we did from the waitress. If you asked me the manager and the waitress have something going in but that's only speculation on my part, lol. The food was very good and enjoyable and has nice flavors the portions were perfect size. We had to ask for bread and never even asked if we wanted cheese on our food. Dessert was very good. The manager came over and did apologize and paid for my glass of wine.

The pizza is always amazing at Pateys. Fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, and perfect crust. The penne vodka was cooked perfectly as well. The vodka sauce tasty and filling. The only reason for the 4 stars----no hot bread with the pasta. That should've been an automatic. But the place was nice, the service was excellent, horrible parking but a nice place to eat.

Such a great place to get authentic simplistic Italian food. Great music, calm environment. Beautiful decor. The veal parmigiana was amazing. Crispy, great cut, the sauce was delicious. And the star of the show, the fried zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic Greek yogurt dip. Just. Get. It. That's it just go and eat. Great service

We love coming here on our usual Tuesday afternoon! This is the best spot on 1st Avenue to have lunch; right on the corner of 69th street and 1st avenue. Who doesn't like pizza? With a side of salad. Nothing beats it. Their ingredients are fresh and the taste of everything is just delicious. Our server was so patient and made good recommendations for us. We ended up settling on a large old fashion margarita pizza and two insalatas; one mista and one Siciliana. They Definitely have the best pizza, salad and service for lunch in the city!

The pizza was extremely flavorful and filled with lots of mozzarella, I do wish there was some sliced tomato on top but that's just what I'm used to when it comes to a Margherita pizza; the mozzarella sticks were good but I paid like $12 for 3 so I recommend NOT doing that lol, lots of seating and plenty of topping options! Great place to be in and out! Service was quick!

One of the OG pizza places of NYC!! Consistent in quality, service, and taste. We got the 17" margherita pizza and added pepperoni and it was plenty of good for 3 people or 2 super hungry people. The sauce is slightly sweet, the mozzarella is generous and chewy, and the crust is flavorful. Definitely a go-to pizza place in the area.

A popular spot for the local hospital. Service was a bit slow for salads but the pizza was hot and fresh. Cappucino was great and the shrimp pasta in white wine sauce was good. Appreciate the serving of shrimp! Music is a little loud in there but overall good for the upper east side.

Every time I come here, I feel the experience is worsening. We were stuck in a booth in the back and then they forgot about us. After I found a waitress and she came to take our order, the food came out pretty quick. We then did not see our waitress again for about twenty minutes. Eventually, when the waitress came back, my grandmother ordered a coffee. She was given a black coffee. We asked for cream. The waitress came back ten minutes later with my fathers third drink and no milk or cream. Super silly but I felt we were ignored for most of the dining experience. Food is just mediocre. Also the entire time we were sitting, a light outside(attached to restaurant) kept turning on and off repeatedly. Super annoying

We ordered take out from here and the pizza is delicious! They made the pizza pretty fast and were friendly! It is pricey though, so I don't see myself ordering from here a lot, maybe special occasions. The inside looks nice though, pretty lights!

We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Margherita and it just melted in my mouth. The flavors, the perfection of the thin crust, the seasoning -- I wish I lived much closer! We also got garlic knots which were awesome also! I enjoyed the sitting at the counter experience and having an ice cold coke with my slice. The shop is small, classic, and exactly what you'd expect from a traditional New York pizzeria. They have one side where you can order whole pies and another for slices, which keeps things moving. One thing to note is that there isn't any seating, so be prepared to enjoy your pizza standing up or take it to go. It wasn't the most comfortable dining experience, but that's part of the classic NYC pizza vibe. As for the pizza itself, it was definitely good--fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. That said, with all the hype, celebrity visits, and its famous appearance in Spider-Man, I was expecting to be completely blown away. For me, it didn't quite live up to that level of excitement, but it was still a solid slice that hit the spot. Would I go back? Absolutely. It's worth trying at least once when you're in Times Square, and I'd stop in again if I was nearby. Overall, I'd give Joe's Pizza 3.5 out of 5 stars.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
