Never been here decided to do a little dive barhopping came across patties and places not too bad, but the bartender had an attitude seem like he was high on some kind of drug he was kind of a bigger guy could've been a little case of roidrage, very edgy, very angry at everybody and even yelled at me and my girlfriend Saying he's not high, he's sober. Very very horrible experience with the bartender. We didn't order any food. But the ambience was your normal diet for a situation. Not sure if we'll go back to that bartender I hope someone finally realizes he's on something and they get rid of him. read more

I had fun at this spot with some friends after a long work day on a Thursday night. When first stepping in, I noticed the dive-y interior. It's got low ceilings, dim lighting, and good bar music. The ceiling in the bar area is covered in dollar bills stapled all over the ceiling. A cool decor 'staple' if you will. The other room has billiards and some cool wrap-around wooden benches connected to the walls. The bar itself was super busy and getting a drink wasn't a great process. The place could potentially use better staffing. We went with some basic beers that we could see someone else had just because the process was a little chaotic and we kinda just wanted to get away from the bar. Definitely a cool spot if you're looking for a down-to-earth dive bar. read more

This is the only actual dive bar I've been to in Scottsdale. Every wall is covered in rumpled dollar bills with drawings or jokes on them, and it looks old. Trashy, even, given its juxtaposition to every fully lit try-hard lounge surrounding it. OK, maybe a little trashy because of all the "LETS GO BRANDON" bills I spotted, but I'll try not to judge. I really like the patio. You feel outdoors, but there's more than adequate shade and some fans. They have cheap well drinks and a lot of older people who seem like regulars. This isn't where I'm ending my time in Scottsdale on any given day, but it's a solid pregame spot for sure. read more

This review is going to be directed towards the staff, I'll touch on the atmosphere at end. For a Wednesday night the bar was lively and perfect amount of patrons to move freely in the bar, but not overcrowded. I can't speak for the bartending drinks because I was a DD, but I saw the bartender KB was busy and I could hear other people throwing very mean comments. I've worked in bars and just a heads up to anyone who reads this. The bartenders and busboys can hear you, so be respectful. I was waiting patiently and KB spotted me and I told him I'm just drinking water and he said "Thanks for being patient" (even though he got to me in less than a minute). Towards the end of the night, he was trying to get everyone to head home, and he offered to get me a ride and I said thank you but I'm the DD, and he said "oh I remember you, you were the water guy!". I was surprised he remembered me, because they easily have 300+ tickets a night. He took the time to thank me for being a DD and keeping people safe on the roads. For someone just ordering a water, normal bartenders don't give you respect or the time in their day. I also had a chance to speak with Ray, who asked if I needed a ride and I told him I was waiting on my friend who was drinking. Since I used to work the same job these guys did, I spoke about my experiences a bit and helped clean up a little bit because people don't treat any establishment serving drinks with any sort of respect. I really got to hand it to two these guys. I'm kicking myself for not remembering the bouncers name because he was really funny and a great addition to the first face to encounter when coming to Patties. If I would recommend any night I'd say go Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's a historic bar in old town and great for locals and people visiting from out of town. Doesn't matter what age you are, you just gotta make sure you enjoy yourself and treat people like you would if you invited them over for drinks. They got pools tables, shuffle board, ping pong and darts. Plus a lively dance floor, that night it seemed like everyone' was enjoying whatever the juke box was playing. Plus they have one of my favorite bar games GOLDEN TEE ( I know I'm not the coolest but I get by). I hope whoever sees this review enjoys the same experience and especially the hospitality. People call this a dive bar and I couldn't agree more. It's just a dive bar without that doesn't play favorites and treats even the water drinkers the same as the folks dropping hundreds a night looking for a good time. If you want to start or end your night at spot with a lot of character and that historic feel, this should be on your hit list. Especially for those visiting for either golf, the great winter and spring weather or even a bachelor and bachelorette party. Thanks for everything and special thanks to KB & Ray. Had a really disappointing experience at Pattie's. The bartender, Chris, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We asked for a second chaser (the first one was tiny), and he charged us $2 for it--no problem if it had been handled politely, but instead, he was aggressive and confrontational. He made bizarre comments like, "I'm sure you get free s** in Old Town,"* and told us to go somewhere else because he's "been a manager here for 10 years." Honestly, it felt like he was on drugs. He was extremely aggressive and his behavior was completely out of line for someone representing a business. I was honestly scared so we left our unfinished drinks. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects basic customer service and respect. read more

A fun dive with a mixed crowd of locals and those visiting. Indoor and outdoor space with darts, pool, and plenty of tables. Our group of ten descended upon here to celebrate the end of a work conference and we had a nice time! I actually don't drink and the bartenders didn't bat an eye serving me soda waters and lime all night long. The music was cool and there were so many dollar bills all over the place. We may have added our own to commemorate our team pride! Definitely a fun place to go! Recommended! read more

I went to Pattie's with a bachelorette party group, and we all had a great time. If you like a good dive bar then Pattie's is for you. It was packed on a Saturday night, but most everyone was friendly and fun. I had a little trouble with them misplacing my debit card but once the lights came on they finally found it. I'll be back in Scottsdale in July, and I definitely plan to return to Pattie's. read more

Loved this hole in the wall bar. There's dollar bills everywhere. The bar will give you a marker and tape to add your own personalized bill to the building. They have darts and pool here. Music is bumpin'. Drinks are cheaper than surrounding bars. read more

If I could do less than 1 star I would. Waited 15 minutes and asked bar tender and they said someone else would serve us. Never got a drink.

We went to Patties for some cocktails. My husband gave them his credit card. He forgot to close it out and pick up the card. The next day we got notification from my bank asking about several charges. They were all fraudulent. So that means that they took our credit card and went on a shopping spree. BE AWARE!!!!! They are not trustworthy there and either the employee took the card or gave it to their friend. read more
