We went here a few weeks ago on a recommendation. Needless to say, we won't be back. We were seated in the little 2 person table right next to the cashier station/kitchen window. All we could smell was mold/mildew which is the biggest reason why we won't return. My food was okay (Swedish pancakes) but my husband had the most bland, dry biscuits and gravy that he's ever had. His bacon was undercooked as well. No one ever came by to see if we needed a refill on our coffee, I had to flag someone down that wasn't our server to get more. What a charming little breakfast joint! 7 of us had brunch there Saturday morning. Our group called ahead and they kindly accommodated us. They do not take reservations however. I ordered the Dixie Chicken with loaded hash browns and, holy moly, was it delicious and huge portions!! Hubby had the huevos rancheros and he was thoroughly impressed! The staff was awesome and I even got a "hell yay, you go girl" when I ordered the michelada mimosa ! The place was busy, and yet it didn't feel crowded. This place is always the best for breakfast! Usually get the Country Benedict but I switched it up and had the California Benedict. As usual it didn't disappoint. The egg was perfectly poached, the bacon perfectly cooked and the avocado was fresh. They give plenty of Hollandaise sauce to smother everything. The only thing I would change would be the crispiness of the English muffin. Still nothing to complain about. My boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon. So I have went to this party's in mukilteo for over 8 years and always had a great meal until the last 3 times has been cold food way downsized portion s . Went today for the last time and had to send back our breakfast cause very cold, the prices have way increased and the was a hand written paper at the cash register says the would order cash to pay bill . I've been going to various Patty's since i was a little kid, and it always feels like the ur breakfast place! They are never fancy, but they do exactly what you want them to. Better than a big chain breakfast place like a Denny's or IHOP but not so much so that you expect it to cost too much. They have every staple that you'd expect from a breakfast joint, quick service, and good food. My go to is the chicken fried steak or eggs benedict, and they are always great. Yesterday November 18th we went to this restaurant for breakfast. Me, my husband, our daughter and our 8 years old grandson, were there at 10am. After ordering we waited and waited to get our food. We realized that all other people who arrived later than us has already had their food served. Our grandson was very hungry since we were coming after his soccer game. After an hour of waiting we finally asked our server, she just looked at us and walked away. We realized that this is not the place for us and finally we got up and walked away. So so disappointed with Patty's EggNest service. Not going back ever again. I truly hope that this bad service or lack of service is not because a discrimination against brown skin people. Service is great here! The sourdough toast is delicious My mom and I walked in this morning and not gonna lie we almost walked out because of how cold it was in there. Huge let down we froze our whole meal. We sat by the thermostat and it said 63 yikes especially on a morning that it was 53 out. We ordered the florentine potatoes and the loaded hash browns First off the potatoes came with mozzarella cheese it might have been pretty good but there was so much cheese and it was cold cheese so it was just not tasty. The egg was well done no running yolk which was a total let down was hoping to have some kind of liquid to maybe soften up the cheese. No such luck. The strawberry jam was good! The loaded has browns were good there are a lot of them especially for being an add on. Here is a restaurant in need of a manager. The parking lot is full and most tables are full. The food was actually pretty good. The service was not good. Coffee served with no spoon to stir. Didn't get silverware until after the food was served. Refill of coffee at the same time. Haven't seen the waitress since ( except to see her talk on her cell behind the bar top. We have been done eating 15 minutes and no one has checked in us. Many have passed, but no one has asked. Looks like they have a brand new buss boy, but a waitress (not ours) has bussed all the tables but 2. Sad face. Need a breakfast place. read more

This place was highly recommended by friends and family. If your looking for a quick place to eat, look somewhere else because its a small restaurant with very little parking. Its a Saturday morning about 11am. It was full but not of a long wait, maybe 15 minutes. Lots of young ladies standing around just waiting to deliver food. It seemed as they didn't want to be there or didn't enjoy their job. The food was the only positive thing about my experience. I do recommend the gyro omelet, also a young lady next to me had the ham and cheese omelet and devoured the entire meal. Tall asian girl needs to work on her attitude and friendliness. Im sure she is a nice person but there is a big difference between being nice and friendly customer service. This is my main go-to place for breakfast, and having read through some of the reviews, they're pretty spot on. Usually, you get great service, but it depends on who's working that day. Recently they've had some really great waitresses who are friendly and hard working. Every time I've ordered to-go, my order is correct, which is great. The food is always somewhere between 4-5 stars. I would say inconsistencies creep up when they get really busy, but it always tastes good and is of good portion size and quality. The only negative I've experienced is that when it's really busy, the bacon and hashbrowns don't come out crispy because they are rushed, so if you notice that you can ask for those to be "extra crispy." The inconsistencies really lie with the owners. They are good people, who seem to try really hard to run a good restaurant, but they are quite unorganized. That disorganization shines through during busy shifts, and sometimes (rarely) in the staff they hire. But thankfully, they tend to hire hard-working, friendly people who care about their customers, and really that means so much more than sometimes having floppy bacon. Bottom line, you won't be disappointed with this place, just have the right expectations. But it's WAY better than Denny's or ihop so you can't go wrong bringing your friends and family here! read more

I decided to go with one of the specials: The Snoqualmie Falls Breakfast: pan fried trout with hash browns, a slice of thick bacon, one sausage link, three eggs, and toast. It sounded better than it was - perhaps my expectations were to high. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was just rather plain. The trout was cooked perfectly, but it needed some seasoning, it was plain, bland. The eggs, hash brown, sausage, were your standard diner fare - good, solid cooking. The bacon was thicker than what I am used to seeing at most breakfast places - and that is a good thing. It was also quite a bit more food than I could eat, I could not finish it all. I love this place ! I come here too much tbh. The Acapulco scramble is my My Go to along with the Yakima cherry croissant which is to die for! The Dixie chicks and their buscuits are so soft and gravy is delicious. The crepes are soft and the Devonshire sauce is deliciously homemade. The Orange juice is freshly squeezed and yummy! My Husband and I are new to the area, we decided to take a drive to the beach and on our way this restaurant caught our eye, there was great service from the first moment we walked in. The food my husband ordered was the chili omelete which was awesome, and I ordered the Eggs Benedict which first came out over cooked and the owner of the restaurant immediately noticed I was dissatisfied with my meal and took action in getting it cooked again. I'm always hesitant on returning my food, but they were 100% kind and showed they cared in the customers needs. ( also I wasn't rude about the food being over cooked ) kindness gets you a lot further. They brought out my dish and it was DELICIOUS! They messed up my order on a to go order and when I went back to pick up the correct order they wanted to still charge me even though they messed up and on top of that they were very blunt and rude about it and at the end they couldn't even give me my refund because I didn't bring the card that I had originally paid for. Waited outside in our car for 15 minutes to get a parking spot in their lot, this is a sign that the food is really good and it is. We actually eat here often. But today it started out bad and got worse. Now I want you to know that I am a dog lover as well as cats but I am on the fence about eating with them. Ok I am not on the fence. We should not be forced to eat with them. (Washington State Law states that only service dogs are allowed in restaurants.) I walked in the door a very large dog with his owners was at the first table and he was a bit jumpy, young and very hairy. I could see dog hair from him on the floor as well as in the air from him shaking his coat. Yes the owners would tell him Down Down. This was not a service dog and if the owners claim he was then they need a refund on this untrained beast. The sign board at the entrance for breakfast specials read " New York Steak, eggs and hash browns " after ordering breakfast with my family, they came back from the kitchen and informed me that they were out of the New York Cut. I think the cook could have informed the staff when he actually ran out so they could remove it from the sign board at the entrance. They offered a Sirloin instead which they did not mention the price but was discounted on the bill. Once our food arrived, I ate my eggs which as usual were cooked perfectly and took one bite of my hash browns which also were perfect! Then...... I cut into my Sirloin which ended up being cooked well done instead of rare as I ordered it. This was the cooks fault not the server. She got the order correct. She went and ordered a new steak for me however, by the time it finally arrived all our food was eaten except for my much anticipated steak. A different server brought this new cut which was cooked properly and immediately took the overcooked steak off my plate. Now I really do not like over cooked steak but I do know that they cannot serve this to anyone once it is set on a table and a customer cuts into it. I was a little surprised they did not even offer to leave it up to us to decide what to do with it since by law they have to throw it out. Or Do They??? Hmmm... Makes you think!?!?!? Well, what's NOT to love about one of the Seattle Metro areas greatest restaurant institutions? Believe me, I have been a long time customer of all the "Patty's Egg Nest" locations, as is the rest of my family! The location in Mukilteo happens to be a personal favorite of mine! The owners are hands down, likely to be the most amazing, selfless, caring, kind, genuine people you'll ever meet! They put these same qualities into their work, their staffs happiness, & pride to be able to work for such a great restaurant, & especially their owners! Today, my family & I enjoyed nothing but the best as always, and honestly, EXTREMELY IMPRESSED by their work to keep the menu/specials unique up (something the owners take great pride in) and both "Deb" & "Maggie" provided only top notch service! The restaurant was fairly empty when we went in for a late weekday lunch. They seated us right away. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. After we ordered a situation broke out in the dining room with staff members and the owner (we asked the waitress later). The owner was yelling and swearing at two employees. It was awkward for those of us eating. The owner briefly apologized, saying she lost her temper. The food came and it was mediocre at best. The ketchup and jam seemed watered down. Everything was pretty bland. We did enjoy the sausage gravy. Our total came to $30 with only water and two breakfasts. We will not be back after that uncomfortable experience. read more
