Eh.. my boo thang and I tried this place out and we personally don't see what the hype is even about. It's a pricey deep dish pizza..doughy and hard-to-eat. It was quite a mess eating it because our butter knives couldn't even cut through the thick dough. We've had plenty of specialty pizzas before and we personally say Pizza Hut is a lot better for the money and taste. The restaurant didn't seem all that busy and they had quite a few employees working , but we felt that they weren't operating in a very organized manner... So the service wasn't as great. They stated our pizza should be out in 20 mins (good thing they have free WiFi), but we waited for over half an hour.. and they even served our pizza to the people right next to us (they came after us) by mistake. The worst part was that the couple had to tell them the order was wrong and the two employees were blaming each other instead of admitting that they weren't communicating well enough. When we got our pizza, we were asked if we wanted condiments, but we had to wait an additional 5 minutes as we watched the employee run around and serve 3 other people first. The parmesan cheese, for some odd reason, was in a small plate while the chili flakes were in a container. We didn't know how to pour parmesan cheese on our pizzas, so we ended up picking up the ground parmesan cheese and sprinkled it over our pizzas. Hahahaha. The deep dish pizza was VERY DOUGHY and the taste was definitely not worth $24. read more

I used to be a Paxti lover. Their wines, their appetizers and especially their pizza. Not since the new management took over. Total cheapskates! What's changed? Wine List: Over-priced wine that gives headaches. They got rid of the good stuff and don't even carry anything local. Come on, you're in the Livermore Wine Valley - support the local economy and bring back local wines! Decor: The napkins were cloth before. Now they're cocktail napkins. Seriously? Cloth adds a touch of elegance. It used to say classy. Now it says cheap. Also, they had honey, Parmesan cheese, salt & pepper in a little round on the table. Not anymore. It's something you have to ask for now. Another part of class they could have kept but didn't. Appetizers: Burrata Bruschetta used to be excellent. They're chincy with their spices that have no flavor, their mozzarella should be more than a dollop and don't forget that the arugula should be a staple to this appetizer. The bread used to be the soft bread. It's easier to spread the mozzarella. Pizza: Arugula & Prosciutto was my favorite. The arugula used to overflow, the prosciutto was plenty and it was the best pizza ever. A few pieces of prosciutto and enough arugula to lightly cover the pizza doesn't cut it. Staff: I have always loved the staff. They were happy and enjoyed serving. The place barely has customers on a Friday night, they have the bartenders waiting tables and it takes twice as long to get food. Hire some more staff to help out the others! You're employees and managers are quitting. Are you getting the hint that the changes aren't good? I'm just waiting to hear an awesome review of this place saying they went back to their old ways so I can go back to my favorite place. We miss going to Paxti's with our large group of friends. Thankfully was able to find a beautiful patio lunch setting at this Patxi's! Our original reservation was canceled at another restaurant due to the smoke from fires. We came by Patxi's, and they were able to seat us at a hightop in the patio ASAP! They had misters going and umbrellas and all tables socially distanced. Pros during Covid time: Temperature screening and contact tracing, waiter wiped down our table and chairs thoroughly before seating, menus via QR code, paper napkins, and wrap up your own to go containers. Cool Misters to keep you cool and air flowing around you! Cons: I could see how it can get crowded on a hot day here, but we surprisingly had a smaller crowd when we went. The deep dish pizza was so good!! Takes a while to cook but worth the wait! Drinks from bar came quick! read more

We came in on Tuesday 6/13/23 because Urban Plates was packed. We walked in and noticed it was emptied other than 2 other tables outside. We quickly figured out why. We were seated in the patio area and it wasn't for 10 mins before our waitress came out to ask for our drinks. We told her we all wanted water and then asked if we could just order because we were on a time schedule and had to be back by 1.. she took our order, at this point, we realized she was new because she really didn't know the menu. We had to point out what we wanted. Which we would never knock a new person, but the trainer should've been next to her. She repeated what we wanted and went off.. the table next to us has children that seemed like they have been waiting awhile and kids were just ansty. 20-something minutes goes by and still no food for us or that table who was there before us... then... the waitress came out with 3 soups and sat it at our table.. we told her none of us ordered soups.. the trainer looked at her and said, "okay, where do these go?" So it went to the table with the kids. That table just said nevermind because it was not what they order and had to leave because kids were really ansty and that food should've been out for at least them awhile ago... we waited another 10 mins before asking how much longer when all we order was half salad and half sandwich.. the trainer said their systems have been down and it should only be 5 more minutes.. we waited another 7 minutes.. nothing.. so we got up... as we got up we saw they were bringing food.. and asked if those were ours and she said no.. so we just left... there were no apologies.. no acknowledgments... nothing... very disappointed.. training needs to improve for the sake of the business. read more

Totally irresponsible management. We came at lunch on Saturday. You staffed one waitperson and had one guy in the kitchen! The poor waitperson was running around being a bartender and getting orders/serving food. She couldn't keep up. My pizza was undercooked. Gross!! The croutons on my salad were totally stale. My husband order the butter lettuce, blue cheese salad, but asked for blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. He was served the salad, but with no blue cheese, ranch dressing and bacon that looked old and limp. The waitperson brought him out a new one, but it was totally saturated with dressing and had about a half a cup of blue cheese crumbles on it. Bacon still looked bad. It was like the guy making the food was like "you want blue cheese buddy! Oh I'll give you blue cheese"! How hard is it to staff your restaurant and serve decent food! Again, not the waitpersons fault and she took our two orders off the bill. However, I'll never be back. The food was terrible. Management- Get a better cook and learn how to staff your restaurant. Thought we'd give this place another try hoping it would be better but still left disappointed. Waited 40 min for a small 10 inch ($19 mind you) that looked more like a personal pizza that came out barely even warm! Then waited another 20 mins for our deep dish that looked disgusting when it came out missing some toppings we ordered. The server even said "I apologize if it doesn't look that good", meaning she even knew it looked aweful! She did offer to make us another one to take home, but we were in a hurry and did not have another hour to wait for them to make another small a$$ expensive pizza. So instead I asked if she could adjust our bill instead. Our bill was discounted 50% which was the cost of that pizza. Service was slow but she was polite. Food quality for the price was below standard. Will not be returning! So if you have a few hours to spend during lunch and you're ok with paying for meh quality pizza that's expensive, give it a try. read more

Problems: Right off the back, told our waiter that my girlfriend is lactose. Server tells us that splitting the pizza half cheese should be no problem. Then I ordered us meatballs with no Parmesan as an appetizer. What a joke!!! Waited twenty minutes before it arrived, and when it did, the girl who served it to us informed us that there are four cheeses used to create them!!! Strike 1! Strike 2, when the pizza finally came, the same girl asked if we wanted her to serve us slices, and we gladly said yes, so since the pizza is cut into 6 slices, the first slice and third slice have chance of cheese on the cut edge, that's typical, so we asked her to serve my girlfriend that second slice which should be completely free from any cheese exposure. Wrong, we saw stretch on it right away! Guess what, it was at the center of the slice as well as a patch at the crust. Strike 3, the waiter comes and tells us assuringly that it isn't cheese. He says that the manager himself made our pizza and ensures that it was safe, wrong! How do you go about telling us something that is clearly wrong?! Then goes ahead to say you'll take it off our bill (as if he was doing us a favor) and remove the pizza from our table. No bueno! We only ordered the pizza half cheese because we were reassured, convincingly reassured, multiple times that it would be ok. We were planning on ordering the whole pizza no cheese just to make sure, but he told me that the pizza is not the same without cheese and that half cheese would be ok. Recommendation: If you have a lactose person in your party, just get a cheese-less pizza to avoid this mess. read more

Came here for a Sunday lunch for 2, and it was one of the most satisfying experience ever!! I haven't had deep dish pizzas in years, and this place offered flavors way better than what I remembered. You can do half and half on the deep dish! We got half the special and half spinach pesto. Both were SO great! When you check in on Yelp, you also get a free order of garlic bread as appetizer. The dipping tomato sauce it came with is the same one they use for their pizzas. Not overly sour like many other deep dish pizza places, it was just right. Kinda disappointed with them... First, I love the happy hour and their happy hour menu; the patio is the only place to sit. The food is generally good - but the service frequently sucks. Example, they've given me the wrong beers and then argued with me when I've pointed out it's not right. Later, realizing I was right and apologizing because they swapped out kegs. Not always a big deal, except an unfiltered wheat will give me hives. Soooo, tonight I ordered door dash and was totally disappointed. My dasher checked in with me, that he'd been waiting forever for the food, even though it was totally dead there (this happens when I'm there too), and now it was packed and he was still waiting. He managed to get the food and deliver it to me in 12 minutes from his text; it was 90 minutes from order to delivery (the order quote was 37 minutes). It doesn't take 88 minutes to make 2 meatballs, and one order of wings (which were cold and sucked, the veggies were all dried out and nasty too). Was not the biggest fan at first but it is really growing on me. It is located right next to Hacienda Crossing and the BART so its in a part of Dublin that is really being built up with restaurants and shops. That being said, it is now one of my preferences of places to eat in that area with good food and good service. I have tried their deep dish and their thin crust, both are equally good. It is nice that they have both options given there are a lot of people who do not like deep dish (it also comes out faster). The pizza's are fresh to order and have been consistently good each time. A deep dish pizza takes around 30 min. to cook so do keep that in mind. They also allow you to do two different pizzas. So we had a person who needed Vegan cheese so half the pizza was vegan cheese and the other half was "the special." At the end, there is honey to put on the crust as a type of dessert! They also have a pretty decent beer selection if that is something that interests you. The place itself is really nice and it has a really nice outdoor seating area. There are also heaters incase it is a cold night. Only big problem is that the indoor seating is very limited but honestly I have sat outside when it was super cold and the heaters did the trick. read more

Stopped by last night and ordered a 10 inch thin with pep and sausage, ordered meatballs and focaccia, and a butterleaf salad. The pizza was just a notch about the pieology product. Toppings were skimpy, crust was super thin, but the sauce was good. I expected more for a $20 dollar pizza. The salad was okay with some brown leaves in it. Just didn't seem like it was put together with much care. The bacon on the salad was non-existent. The meatballs is where this was actually a horrible experience. I didn't like them at all - matter of fact I took one bite and closed the lid and was disgusted. The winner was the focaccia bread. That was amazing with the garlic and olive oil. It was on point and the best things my I are. I know that is weird but it was really flavorful and slightly addictive. I lovvvve Patxis! I can eat everything there and I have. Lately I've been on an the Italian sandwich kick. I sub the onions with banana peppers and OMG it takes it to the next level. The chicken wings with the sweet and spicy sauce is clutch and all their drinks are good!! The deep dish takes a while so it's smart to order appetizers and a drink (or two) while you wait! And don't worry about leftovers, the deep dish heats up well within the next couple days and you get to enjoy it twice! I love the outside bar so much. We had our baby shower here and had an extraordinary experience! Due to COVID restrictions it was tough trying to find a place! Aim and Amanda made this very important day happen for us! They were able to accommodate our party and closed their beautiful outdoor seating for our guests! Our party had the privacy we needed, which included a private bar. We had our shower in June, so it was a bit warm, but they had umbrellas and misters to keep our guests comfortable. And did I mention, the food was great too!? Leading up to this day, Amanda and Aim were both very responsive and made the planning so much more easier. The service we received that day was phenomenal, the staff was friendly, attentive and very accommodating. I wouldn't think twice about working with them again for future events. Patxi's in Dublin is ran like a well oiled machine. They have great food, service, and ambiance. The variety of choices leaves something for every type of eater out there. Tons of options for pizza, apps, salads, great beer, and much more. This isn't your regular pizza place, you can tell the ingredients here are fresh and top of the line. They also are innovative with having honey there to dip your crust in, it's quite good. I recommend the artichoke dip, italian chopped salad, and BBQ chicken deep dish or Spinach pesto deep dish. More of a 3.5 star rating but service was good. Had the "special" 12" deep dish which is a good size of 8 hearty slices. But the bottom was very wet/soggy. After every slice being picked up, there was a nice wet pool which in turn made the bottom of the pie soggy. I dislike wet pizza, especially if it takes 25 minutes to prepare. Love this place! Our first Patxi's experience was at the Palo Alto location a few years back. We were both stoked that they opened one in Dublin so we don't have to drive hella far! We always get the Matt Cain deep dish pizza in the smallest size which is good for two people. It's definitely for meat and cheese lovers - is soooo good! If we're really hungry we also get an appetizer (the wings and the Mediterranean salad are yummy). If you're STARVING be aware that deep dish pizzas take about 20+ more minutes to cook so get an appetizer! You don't want to be hangry. They also serve alcoholic drinks which is a plus! There's a diverse crowd that ranges from couples having date nights to families eating dinner. They also have a cool bar outside (perfect for summer) and they have happy hour Monday-Friday (3pm-6pm). All of the servers are nice and accommodating so it's definitely our go-to spot if we're craving deep dish pizza! read more

I like the taste of their pizza, and my favorite pizza overall is hawaiian. I just really don't like the uneven and weird placing of the ham and too few pineapple even after asking for extra. They also serve their soup cold. Everything is a bit over priced when you get cold food served. I hope this will be improved. I have also tried their meatballs and those are amazing but meatball sub lacks sauce and parmesan. Service was horrible the three waitresses sat a few tables in front of me just chitchatting as I waited to place my order, I ordered Caesar salad to start, it was overdressed the salad itself was room temperature. Now for the pizza itself, I ordered The original Chicago deep dish pizza, the dough was not completely cooked, the center of the pizza was cold. Never Again! I have no idea why my fiancé and I decided to eat here. The deep dish pizza we ordered was bland! I had to add chili flakes, extra garlic powder, side of Parmesan cheese, honey, and dip it with ranch to give it some flavoring to help swallow the food. From the outside the pizza looks mouth-watering good but the moment you take a bite you're wondering "it was too good to be true". We waited about 30-45 minutes for our food to be served. The service was okay and our server was very rude. He threw our plates on the table, our utensils, never asked if we wanted a refill, and sadly threw the bill on the table rather than handing it to us. I usually never have a bad experience but I least expected it to happen here at Patxi's Pizza. read more

Patxi's has the BEST happy hour! Not only do they offer great deals, but the outdoor bar and patio are huge and just screaming to be filled with fun-seeking people on a warm summer evening. Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm, you can get $2 off appetizers and beer, $3 off wine and signature cocktails, and $5 well cocktails and personal pizzas. I haven't eaten at this location yet but have enjoyed many pizzas, salads and appetizers at the Livermore location. However my friend ordered a small pizza to-go during our visit and said she devoured it like a wild beast when she got home. She only let me smell it. She's mean. I love Patxi's they cannot do wrong by me. Called in to order a large deep dish Greek ($33) half bake for take out. It was ready & waiting as quoted by the order taker. The server that helped during the pick up was nice. He showed me the pie and gave me a bag with containers of red pepper, parmesan cheese and honey packets. The pie was great. Easy to finish the baking process with instructions printed on the box. I haven't had a bad pie from any of the locations.
