I came with a party of 10.5, .5 was our niece and had preordered a large thin pizza Blanca, large stuffed Zachary's special and a small thin cheese pizza. With the Blanca, definitely squeeze the lemon wedge over the pizza before devouring! The cheese pizza was a hit with our nephew. We could've ordered another Blanca instead of the special. There were large chunks of bell peppers and onions under the red sauce that could've been sliced thinner. We had this boxed with over half remaining. In addition to the pizzas, we also added roasted cauliflower, wings, and the meatballs. Both their Buffalo and BBQ wings were fully sauced. Maybe instead of their ranch, will consider asking for more of the applicable sauce. Meatballs were drowned in what appeared and tasted like the same red sauce in the special pizza.. Which now makes sense because both have Zachary in their menu name. These were also boxed up. Roasted cauliflower was well seasoned and a good balance between all the red sauce. Our original server clocked out and a new server took over- that's the story the gentleman/new server shared with us. Awkward. The deep dish is so good, its no wonder Dave Portnoy reviewed the Zacharys in Oakland the highest ranked pizza in the Bay. The price is super reasonable, you'll walk out of there at the same or less you would Round Table and with way better pizza. This was our first time having Chicago deep dish style pizza in so long. We've always heard such rave reviews about Zachary's. The parking in the back is plenty and close to the restaurant. We were seated quickly and order taken. We knew based on the menu that the deep dish would take longer to make. We had the caesar salad and it was refreshing and the shredded cheese was delicious. This was my first visit at this location. These days when we order a pizza here, I mostly eat one slice in a sitting. These are thick. It's like a pizza casserole if you're familiar with Chicago style pizza. We also ordered some wings here as well that were good. When we went to go pick up the order, parking was easy of find in the downtown Pleasanton area or the lot behind. This is an amazing place! Came here for a farewell lunch for 30 people recently and everyone raved about the food and experience. The stuffed pizzas were delicious, we ordered 5 large ones for us to share and it was just enough for all of us as we were mostly small eaters. Asked the kitchen to cut them into 12s so everyone could taste as many different types as possible. We also ordered 4 entree salads and 3 roasted cauliflowers, all excellent. I called the day before and the manager specifically made sure that he shifted workers around to cater to us. Way back when I was visiting the area regularly, i took a enjoyable hike elsewhere in the East Bay. Afterward we were really hungry and decided that the best way to rectify the problem was to head to Zachary's for some of their exceptional pizza :-) Years ago, I paid my 1st visit to Zachary's (at a different location); ever since, the quality of their pies has been ballooning in my memory. I found myself wanting to return there for a 2nd visit, and found it wasn't at all difficult to convince my friend to join me. Long story short - I was delighted to discover that the pizza at Zachary's was every bit as good as I remembered - maybe even better! When we arrived at Zachary's, the sights and smells of their pizza reminded me in the best way possible that we were about to enjoy a Chicago-style pie like virtually no other in NorCal. The crust is almost like a pie crust that's stuffed (rather than topped) with the toppings you choose. The crust's quality is exceptional, and it's cooked to perfection. The sauce takes things to an even higher level, with the pizza bursting into a taste explosion of well-seasoned deliciousness. Tip: While the quality of the food here is through the roof, the prices unfortunately are not for the faint of heart. That said, you'll find the pizza so filling that you don't need to worry about the prices - even the hungriest guest will find that after one or two slices they are totally full :-) That afternoon we opted for a medium stuffed-crust pie with fresh garlic, sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms. A friend recommended this place, and it was my first time trying Chicago-style pizza. The crust is super thick, with cheese in the middle and sauce on top--it's very saucy and filling, so even one slice was enough. Used to make the haul to Berkeley on Solano Ave. just to get my Zachary's deep dish carne fix, initially in the 90s. So when Pleasanton got its own Zachary's back 2021, I finally made the time to check it out. The crust was buttery and crisp. Going into my first visit to Zachary's, I'd always heard nothing but great things--which had me ready to channel my inner Plankton and uncover their so-called secret formula. I'm extremely disappointed with the treatment I received today. I came in with my trained service dog, and instead of being welcomed like any other customer, I was met with disrespect and discrimination from an employee named Andrew. From the moment we arrived, Andrew told me that my service dog "couldn't sit on my lap," which was already confusing and unnecessary the dog never touched the table, but then he went even further and asked me why I even have a service dog and that he wouldn't bring my pizza out until he was on the floor, I even went as far as saying "I'll put the dog away once you bring the pizza and told me he would not bring the pizza until he was away. This is not only rude, it is illegal to ask. His tone, attitude, and overall behavior made me feel emotionally attacked, embarrassed, and singled out for no reason. Instead of understanding or following the law, he made it clear that they are not animal-friendly, and insisted that I leave or take my dog "somewhere else," even though service dogs are fully allowed in public businesses. The way he spoke to me made me feel like I was being kicked out for having a disability accommodation. Absolutely unacceptable. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially someone with a service animal. This experience was hurtful, discriminatory, and showed a complete lack of training and compassion. I truly hope management takes this seriously and educates their staff, because what happened today was not okay. read more

We had to reject the first table because they wanted to fit 4 adults and a wheelchair in a corner table meant for 4 so the adult in the wheelchair couldn't even eat at the table because there was no space. We visited as a group of five and ordered one salad to share, one order of chicken wings, and two deep-dish pizzas. Unfortunately, the service experience was extremely poor. First, after we were seated, no one brought us any utensils. About 15 minutes later, our food started arriving, yet we were still sitting there without plates or utensils. We had to signal a server to ask for them. Even then, we were only given forks and plates--no knives--despite the fact that we had ordered deep-dish pizza. Second, the wait time for the deep-dish pizzas was nearly 50 minutes. When we asked one female server about the delay, she responded impatiently by asking, "Have you been here before?" When we said yes, but only for take-out, she immediately interrupted and said, "Then you should know how long it takes." The tone and attitude were quite rude and unprofessional. Finally, when the pizzas arrived, one was placed on a stand while the other was simply put directly on the table. This felt careless and unprofessional in terms of presentation and service.
