This is a great place to see the view of the river and sit outside in the sunshine. The food was ok? There was more bread than hot dog is all I can say I threw about half my food away due to not being able to eat it because there was so much bread and not enough meat. I ate the slaw with a fork separately. My husband got the chilli cheese fog the cheese is very spicy but he said it was good. The service was pretty fast there was a long line but we got our order placed quickly.

Great place for a cold beer. It had been several years since I last visited this location. The beer is cold, great service along with a beautiful view. I did not have any food, but what I did see, looked good. I would return.

A quick trip thru Helen Georgia landed at Paul's Margarita Deck. We were greeted by the first window Bartender who was the Answer Man. Made several suggestions and we took his advice. He made some point on recommendations. The Turkey Rueben was Great as was the Philly cheesesteak and wings. He said the Chicken nachos were quite a big portion. They were! We enjoyed a quiet Sunday afternoon watching Rafting Tubers having loads of fun. Even had a Kitty and Puppy joining in on the fun with their masters. Relax they had life jackets on. Too cold for me but they were happy. Thank you for a nice entertaining day. You do pay to park but your fee is deducted from your food bill. Good deal!

Order at the counter, and listen for them to call your number. There's live music in the dining area, so you really have to listen. The food is inexpensive and delicious, plus we didn't wait more than 5 minutes. There was a steady crowd, when a table opened up, it filled right in again, but it didn't feel crowded, and there are plenty of places to sit. We were there in the pouring rain, I imagine that in better weather you could wait to sit.

Great place to grab a beer or a margarita on a chili day. We came in here and grab some beers and chips and salsa in between shopping. All the cute shops surrounding the place. Friendly people and friendly service. I definitely recommend. I recommend the German Pilsner on tap. Also enjoyed a live band while we were here and they were actually really good! I don't say that often.

Live m usic was excellent. Great view of the Chatahoochi River River from deck and good country music. Security at the door Food was OK in a fast food sort of way, but wouldn't write home about. Helen is a quaint Bavarian tourist town which resembles Solvang, CA. We had wings and chicken fingers. See pictures. Order your own food. Pick up your own so here is a tip. Tip yourself, right after you clean up your area and tip musicians.

Best part of this place is the view of the river and the live music. You stand in line to order your food, then pick it up and clean it up...and they still ask for a tip....I don't think so. Food is all fried, but tasty. The guy who announces your order number is ready is a hoot...order 71 that's a seven followed by a one

Overpriced and a total letdown. 1 measured shot of 1800 was $15. Holy cow! The Bartender was so nice but just a total disappointment otherwise. $58 for a beer on tap in a souvenir cup a shot and a 8 oz Margarita. Be careful sitting or you will get a splinter from the barstools.

You're going to pay for the view. They have a counter to order your food and pay and then they call your number and you pick up your food. There is a huge deck with umbrellas for shade and you can enjoy the weather and look out over the water. It's a great spot and would be even better if the food were good and reasonably priced. My husband had a cheeseburger which was clearly a frozen patty on a bun, toppings are at a bar for self service. I had the Ruben which was decent and added fries instead of chips for $4!!! I should have stuck with the chips because the fries were a let down. Our meals with 1 beer each came to $49. Needless to say I wouldn't go back unless it was to just sit on the deck and enjoy the view.

So happy that I did! When I walked in, the staff were super friendly and all smiles. The cashier/barista was such a sweetheart! They have a cheese market, deli, bakery bar, and coffee shop all in one! They sell all kinds of charcuterie items, from salami, cheese, jam, jellies, to coffee, candy, wine, and chocolates. They also sell cutting boards and other little trinkets. I absolutely loved that they sell "charcuterie for one" that has cheese, meats, and olives for a single serving on the go too! We saw that they had a lunch box special for sandwiches that includes a sandwich, cookie, pickle spear, and bag of chips for $12. What a steal!!! We decided to get the Jammin' Pig sandwich which is a panini pressed sandwich with ham, brie cheese, and cherry jalapeño jam. The lunch box was a great size and included Lay's regular potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie! They also sell other cookies and baked goodies (brownies, cakes, etc.) at the bakery bar area. The sandwich was probably the best sandwich I ever had in my life. Holy cow! The sandwich was pressed and grilled perfectly with nice grill marks and the meat and cheese was fresh! The brie and the cherry jalapeño jam melted together so nicely and added a creamy and flavorful element to the sandwich. The ham provided the saltiness that helped cut a little bit of the sweetness from the jam. The jam wasn't spicy at all. It was a beautifully balanced sandwich. My husband thought I was exaggerating (because I'm not picky with anything haha), but as soon as he took a bite, his expression was speechless. He loved the sandwich so much, that we decided to come back the very next day and ordered the same sandwich and tried another one. If you want to take another step, take a bite of the sandwich and then a bite of the pickle for that hint of acidity. It causes a umami effect with all the flavors dancing on your palette! For the lunch box special, you either get a chocolate chip cookie or the white chocolate cranberry one (I believe they alternate cookie flavors based on their inventory), but both cookies were delicious. The texture is not like other cookies as it's more like an oatmeal texture kind of deal. A little bit crumbly, but nonetheless, both flavors were very good and tasty. My husband ordered the Kickin' Horse sandwich the day after and he actually liked it better than the Jammin' Pig. His sandwich consisted of ciabatta bread, roast beef, muenster cheese, horseradish sauce, and onion, panini pressed style. I had a bite of his sandwich and all the flavors worked so well. The horseradish sauce brings out the roast beef flavor and enhances the muenster cheese. We tried some iced latte specials as well. We had the "Hippie Chick" that is a lavender honey flavored latte and the "Sweater Weather" which is a cinnamon and caramel? flavored latte. We absolutely loved the Hippie Chick latte and ordered another one when we came back, but the "Sweater Weather" wasn't our favorite. Respectfully, it tasted like a fall candle. It was good, but not the best we've had. Overall, we will definitely come back when we're in the area. The price was worth it for the amount of food that you get! Trust me when I say to get the sandwiches! You will not be disappointed!!! Now I'm craving their Jammin' Pig sandwich....

If you've spent more than five minutes eating your way through Alpine Helen GA, you already know…read morethe truth: finding genuinely good, made-from-scratch food here feels like a competitive sport--and most places are losing. Campfire Restaurant isn't just winning... it's playing a completely different game. I've been here since day one, watching owner Matt and his crew build this place with intention and pride. This isn't a "let's open and see what happens" spot--this is passion, detail, and respect for doing food right. In a town where "authentic" can mean reheated and overpriced, Campfire stands out like a perfectly cooked ribeye in a sea of mediocrity. The vibe hits immediately--rustic North Georgia lodge meets modern comfort. Wood, textures, that Smoky Mountains ambiance. Indoor dining is cozy, outdoor dining under Edison lights is where the magic lives. It's date night, family dinner, or "I survived today" energy all in one place. Locals recommend this place for a reason--and locals don't hype things lightly. Now the food. Everything is made in-house--real Southern food, comfort food, and American food with flavor and consistency. The Southwest Gunpowder Nachos? Legendary. Handmade chips, massive portions--get steak and extra corn. It's two meals unless you're me. Best value in Helen. The smash burger is easily one of the best in Georgia--juicy, consistent, unforgettable. Fried chicken is solid, but locals will tell you: get the chicken tenders. Ribeye is tender, juicy, and always recommended. Mac and cheese? Creamy, different--but I'll admit I'm biased because mine is elite. Still worth trying. And the s'mores dessert--if you don't have room, make room. It's rich, indulgent, and perfect for date night or birthdays. Service has that "Cheers" feel--friendly, consistent, no judgment if you roll in looking like life just happened. They remember you, take care of you, and that matters. Parking is easy in the Alpine village shopping center. Seating is quick if you're smart about timing (don't be silly). Live music adds to the vibe without overpowering it. Prices are reasonable (rare for Helen), portions are big, and quality stays consistent--that trifecta is everything. This is a bucket list, must visit, locals favorite, top rated spot in Alpine Helen GA. Whether it's Oktoberfest, a Smoky Mountains trip, or just a Friday night--this is where you go when you want food that actually delivers. And honestly? In this town... that says everything. #facts REASONS TO VISIT: 1. Must visit, bucket list restaurant in Alpine Helen GA 2. Locals favorite, top rated, best in North Georgia 3.
