Capy Latte: not too sweet and tasted like strong concentrated coffee with crème on top which gave a good balance of sweetness and coffee taste Egg Coffee: Viet coffee with crème on top. The strong taste of the Viet coffee flavor with some sweetness. I liked the egg crème foam Matcha Latte: not too diluted with milk or sweetness compared to other cafes I have gone to and you can taste the distinct matcha flavor The overall ambiance gives off modern cafe vibes and very aesthetically pleasing for you to take pictures. Honestly came here because of the capybara decor but the matcha was 10/10! Only a few matcha places I would recommend, and this one will def be one of them. Ordered the Capy Matcha which comes with a matcha cream top, similar to a double matcha latte. I love that there was a balance of sweetness and bitterness. The cutest capybara-themed cafe! I'm going to need them to open a location in Sacramento closer to home, please! It's a small, clean shop with some bench seating adorned with capy plushies in one corner and a few tables and chairs along the wall. There are also 2 claw machines in the back with pokemon, capybaras, and Hello Kitty prizes. They also sell Capy Cafe tees, totes, and capybara slap bracelets and key chains. Everything is adorable! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our drinks were delicious. Me and my husband got the "Sunrise Tea" and the "Sunset Tea." Very refreshing and made quickly. Will have to try their coffee drinks next time. We unknowingly stopped by during their Grand Opening celebration. Over the weekend, my friend, daughter and I drove to Folsom to check out the Capy Cafe! They just opened on April 11th and my daughter is obsessed with Capybaras so we knew we had to check them out. The inside was so cute and inviting with stuffed Capybaras spread throughout - my daughter wanted to take one of the large stuffed ones home! We ordered a Capy Latte, Sea Salt Coffee and a Brown Sugar Boba Milk - all 3 drinks were great! We devoured them all before we left. They also offered Matcha, different teas, cookies and even Tiramisu! I loved how fresh the drinks tasted and that you could still taste the coffee and nothing was overly sweet. The inside has a decent amount of seats and they even have seats just outside that still make you feel like you are sitting inside. We found a cozy spot to relax and enjoy our drinks, but they were definitely busy and seats filled up fast! Service was great - everyone we spoke to was super friendly and eager to help! Saw this place on Instagram and decided to give it a shot. Im a big matcha head so any new place that offers matcha Im excited to try. I personally love a strong matcha but unfortunately this wasn't strong enough for me. The flavor was there although it was lacking what Im used to. This is the cutest cafe! I mean who doesn't love a capybara? We were immediately greeted when we walked in. After looking over the menu we ordered. I was so excited to find a local cafe that really knows how to do matcha right. The space itself is super cute, though definitely on the smaller side so we got lucky with our timing because it filled up quickly and the line was already stretching out the door. I ordered the capy matcha, which comes with a matcha cream top, and it was honestly so good and rich, creamy and perfectly balanced. The only thing I wished for was a bit more variety in sweeteners. They currently offer cane sugar, which is fine, but I usually go for agave, so having that option would've made it perfect for me. What really stood out, though, was how welcoming the staff were. The capybara theme is super cute, and the cafe was pretty busy today for their soft opening. It definitely shows that Folsom needs some good matcha options, specifically hand whisked to order. I tried the Capy Matcha, and while the matcha foam on top was delicious, the actual drink didn't quite match it for me. My friend thought the same. It tasted a bit watered down, the matcha flavor wasn't very strong, and there was some sediment at the bottom even after mixing. Since it's their soft opening, maybe they just need a bit more time to work out the ratios, so I'll give it another try in the future. They had wooden patio furniture inside the cafe, which wasn't the most comfortable if you want to sit and relax for a while. The wooden slat tables also made me a little nervous about spilling my drink. I ended up asking if I could keep the small wooden platter to set our cups on at the table. I'd like to try the egg coffee next time, maybe I'll enjoy that one more. Overall, the service was great, very friendly and efficient. I also love that they open early! I was in need of a little pick me up, so I checked Yelp and came across this spot for Vietnamese coffee. It is such a cute little capybara themed coffee shop. There were capybara stuffed animals around the seating areas, and my kids had a great time playing with them while we waited. My coffee came out pretty quickly. The place is max cuteness! If you love capybaras, this place will give you the fuzzies as there are plush capys of all shapes and sizes to cuddle and sit with as well as Capy Cafe merch, including adorable slap bracelets and plushie key chains. We didn't know it was the grand opening so were pleasantly surprised to get a ticket to be entered for 3 prizes, and there was a cute photo op next to the front door with Capy props and balloons. Their customer service is on point: when you pick up your drinks, they're served on a wooden tray with your straw; great idea if you're carrying multiple drinks or just don't want to juggle your drinks if you're carrying bags, etc. My sea salt Vietnamese coffee hit- you get a nice dose of caffeine and the sea salt cream was amazing. This place is too cute! For drinks my fiance and I got a viet sea salt coffee to share and a sunrise drink. I dont recommend adjusting sweetness at all as they both weren't too sweet to begin with, unless you really dont like sweet coffee. The jasmine tea in the sunset was nice and strong and had pieces of fruit in it. I like that it tastes like real fruit. The coffee was a very unique one-you can def tell its slow drip and it doesnt have a bit of the bitter/burnt aftertaste that some viet coffees have. The sea salt crema is addicting. We also got their homemade tiramisu and smores cookie. Even though the tiramisu was homemade it didnt have a strong coffee taste, was a bit grainy and I wouldn't get again. We were really excited to try this place unfortunately when we put a straw in the capy latte a long piece of hair came out with it. This definitely didn't leave a great taste with us so we ended up tossing both drinks. We also were a little bummed how they charged $1.50 for soft foam too. It didn't mention that in the menu especially when the ingredients are included having sea salt cream. We looked at our receipt and found about the extra charge. First off, the employees are so friendly and welcoming! It was like walking into a friend's business, they are so easy to talk with. It's adorably decorated, clean and relaxed. I made my order and the wait time was like 5 minutes. I ordered the Sea Salt Coffee, a Kouign Amann, and a S'more Cookie. I love strong coffee, and their coffee is STRONG The Salt foam was well done, not too salty but salty enough to taste through the coffee. My kids loved the S'more Cookie! I had a bite, it tasted fresh and delicious. My favorite though had to be their Kouign Amann. It's the best I've had, and I've gone to many fancy bakeries that had mediocre Kouign Amanns. They are perfectly caramelized and flakey! With every bite and every sip, I could not stop commenting on how much I loved their coffee and baked goods. Great combos! My experience at the Capy Cafe had mixed feelings. The food was overall good & tasty had good flavor in the Oreo cookie I had bought. But as soon as I was asking to look over the menu, the owner comes up PUSHING away the person that was trying to help me order my food. I found that very disrespectful and disruptive. This new cafe has taken over the spot held previously by Sunright Tea. The capybara theme is so random and adorable! The menu is quite limited, just a couple options each for coffee, tea, and matcha. But they just opened so hopefully more will be added! I follow them on Instagram so I saw they posted about an egg coffee which they do not have on the menu at the counter but they said they could make it for us. I chose the Capy Matcha for myself which is their version of a double matcha. The cream was perfect consistency and the matcha flavor was all there. The egg coffee was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. They had a couple snacks and lots of yummy cookie options. Service was very friendly but they did have a young kid who was working there, which is fine but she was also playing the little claw machine games that we paid for our kids to use. Not a big deal since I'm sure she just wanted to help but maybe a little frustrating for our kids haha. Otherwise the cashier was super nice and they were so kind to give some extra stuffed animal keychains to our kids. It replaced a previous matcha shop that just didn't hit everything tasted watered down and they made their matcha in bulk (no hand whisking), which really took away from the whole experience and flavor. Capy did everything right from the start. The vibe is way more lively and welcoming, plus they added more seating which makes a huge difference. But most importantly the drinks. Their matcha and coffee menu feels really intentional, and they hand whisk every drink to order Only small note my cold foam was a little thinner than I personally prefer. I like it thicker so you can really taste it but they were also pretty busy, so that might've played a part. I really wanted to like this place, so it honestly makes me sad to write this review. A relative had shared Capy Cafe with us on Instagram, and my family was so excited to visit. My kids LOVE capybaras and had been asking to go all week, so we made the 50 minute drive out to Folsom to check it out. While we were there, we ordered four drinks and purchased two capybara snap wristbands. Overall, we spent $56 and were looking forward to a fun experience for the kids. The part that was really disappointing happened at the claw machine. My son wanted to try it, so my husband paid for multiple attempts. After about 10 tries, we didn't win anything. Another child went right after us and also wasn't able to get anything from the machine. At that point, the owner (who had been sitting nearby) went behind the counter, grabbed a box of stuffed animals, and brought it directly to that child, letting them pick a prize. We were sitting right next to them, and our kids had just finished playing the same machine, so naturally my children were confused. They thought maybe it was something being offered to all the kids, but it wasn't. It was only given to that one child. What made this even harder as a parent was how it felt in that moment. Watching the owner walk past my children, who had just had the same experience, and choose to give a prize to another child right in front of them felt hurtful. I hope the owner takes a moment to go back and watch the footage from today. What he may not have noticed was the look on their faces. They were confused and sad, trying to understand why they were being treated differently. As a parent, it was hard not having any explanation for them at all. It left my son especially sad, and I found myself hurting for him. I don't think there was any bad intention, but the lack of awareness in that moment left a really negative impression on us. After driving so far and spending that much $ on drinks, it turned what should have been a fun visit into a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. We had hoped this would be one of our go-to spots when we're in Folsom, but that experience made it hard to come back. read more

First time going here I'm usually in the Folsom/Roseville area and I don't come across really good Matcha. In order for me to go get some good Matcha I have to drive all the way to elk grove or downtown Sac. The place is pretty tiny, but their Matcha is delicious.
