Very clean and organized Pavilion. I was able to find flowers and a fruit dish. There's a Starbucks inside this location. The cashier wasn't that friendly, I don't think she was having a good day:( Anyhow, fast and easy transaction!

    Just Desserts Cake $18.99

We came after dinner to pick up some dessert items. Signature ice cream was on sale for $4.99 for a 1.5 quart. We got traditional Vanilla and Chocolate Moose Tracks. The Vanilla was icey when we ate it later that night - like it had melted and refroze. But the Moose Tracks was fine. We also picked up a Just Desserts Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cake ($18.99). This was about 6" in diameter. The chocolate cake was rich and dense, the ganache was perfect. It didn't really need the raspberry in there or the mini chocolate chips on the sides. It was plenty rich enough. We've been searching for a moist chocolate cake so this checked some boxes. It was just super expensive.

Needed to pick up some ice, drinks and fruit. This was a conveniently located market for us. We walked in and out in a flash. Super friendly cashier. They offer a deli and sushi bar. Fresh flowers available.

I came to this Von because i had two hours to kill before my dentist appointment and they had a Starbucks inside. Plenty of inside comfortable seating as well as outlets for charging and maintaing power on my laptop. Friendly baristas, the fresh deli, salads, chicken and more is right within footsteps. Starbucks had displays of merchandise. I got y favorite Venti shaken expresso with oatmilk and à matcha foam and not only was it delicious but my barita made it look pretty. Great vibe i had a very nice experience I am definitely coming back.

If you are looking for a bakery quality cake at a reasonable price their bakery is a go to every time! For my husband's 60th birthday and his Mom's 81st I bought a white cake with vanilla filling with a white chocolate icing and a white cake with fresh strawberries. Simply delicious. For my Mom's 80th and her best friend's 81st I bought a white cake with pineapple cream cheese icing and a white velvet cake. Every cake was fresh, moist, full of flavor. Of course Pavilions is on point with the cleanliness. Customer service is always awesome. You tell them what you have in mind and a lot of times they can do it. The bakery staff is always so friendly and helpful. Not only do the cakes taste delicious. They are beautifully decorated. You cannot beat the pricing compared to the quality at Pavilions!!

Mya at the sushi counter is excellent! She's quick, quick, friendly and creates great bowls.

    Bolani!
    Iris J.

This is one of the only stores where I can find Bolani. The store is super clean and they even have a nice selection of glass bottle classic sodas. I chose a sarsaparilla. We also picked up some ready made deli items. Everything was better than most of the deli items I've had from other grocery stores, so that was a plus. I also loved that they had a Starbucks at this location as well. We will definitely be back!

This is a very nice pavilion. The bakery area could need more assistance. There was one employee but she was very busy. I walked away from the warm cookie section, cause she was busy making boxes, and the eye contact and me saying I want a cookie was not enough to get service, lol. It is better that I didn't get cookies, I need to slim down for a photoshoot I am doing next month anyways, lol. For the majority of it, employees are very nice, the sore is clean and organized, most of the items are well stocked.

There is also a "last call" section in the back of the store, where you can find some extra good deals (not expired, just discontinued, or new packaging, or??). And they have quite a few savory pre-made meals that are interesting and so helpful to grab and prepare during the week. On top of it, the people that work there are always smiling, they make efforts to have a little extra something to say to others when passing by or while the customers are going through their lines. If you haven't been, it's worth looking around and seeing the specialty items they have, what deals they have going on that week, and the variety of the prepared foods they have at and around the deli and bakery. Absolutely Phenomenal Grocery Store!…read more This store is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can see and feel the difference in quality. Everything looks incredibly fresh, especially the fruits and vegetables, and the store is clean, well-stocked, and very inviting. The selection is phenomenal! They have a fresh poke bar, salad bar, bakery, coffee bar, fresh juices, and so much more. Their bakery alone has an incredible variety of delicious-looking items. They also carry a great selection of soaps, supplements, health and wellness products, and so many unique items that you may not find at your typical grocery store. The employees are another reason I enjoy shopping here. Everyone I have encountered has been polite, friendly, professional, and willing to assist when needed. Great customer service makes such a difference! Some items can be a little pricey, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. The freshness, quality, variety, cleanliness, and customer service make it worth spending a little more. This store is several miles out of my way, and I will STILL make the drive because it is worth it! If you haven't visited yet, you definitely need to check it out. This is what a quality grocery store should look and feel like. Highly recommended!

Customer Experience At the beginning of this month,I went…read moreshopping at Lazy Acres with my husband,I have been a customer for a few years now,and I have generally had positive experiences with the cashiers there, particularly because I have food allergies and specific dietary needs that make this store especially useful for me. During this particular visit, however,we had an extremely uncomfortable experience with a male cashier,While we were unloading our groceries, I took out my EBT card to pay,Before it was our turn, I noticed the cashier having a friendly conversation with the customer ahead of us. However, when the cashier saw my EBT card, his demeanor noticeably changed,I observed what appeared to be an eye roll and a change in his attitude toward us. As the cashier continued scanning our groceries, he began handling most of our items very aggressively. Among them were glass jars of Mount Hagen coffee. My husband noticed the way our items were being handled, As our transaction continued, the cashier appeared increasingly irritated,He was sighing, making audible noises, and seemed visibly annoyed while scanning our groceries,At one point, he was looking through a book to find the price of some yellow long peppers we had purchased, and his demeanor continued to appear frustrated and uncomfortable and angry. Near the end of the transaction, while my husband and I were bagging our groceries, my husband asked him, "I'm sorry, are you okay? The cashier responded, "Why? Are you guys scared? We both found that response inappropriate and confrontational, especially considering that we were simply trying to complete our purchase. I want to be very clear,I cannot know for certain what was going through this employee's mind,However, the timing of the change in his demeanor particularly after he saw my EBT card made my husband and I feel that we were being treated differently because we were paying with EBT,His behavior throughout the transaction left us feeling uncomfortable, judged, and unwelcome. I also want to emphasize that this is not my normal experience at Lazy Acres. I have been shopping there for years and have never had an issue like this with the other cashiers. This experience stood out specifically because of how different his behavior was. If Lazy Acres has employees who have negative attitudes toward customers using EBT or other forms of public assistance? I believe that needs to be addressed through appropriate training and management. Customers should not feel embarrassed, judged, or uncomfortable because of the method they use to pay for their groceries. I am leaving this review because I would like Lazy Acres management to take this seriously and look into what happened. I believe I still have my receipt from the transaction, and I would appreciate someone from the store contacting me directly so I can provide the details of the visit and hopefully have this matter addressed. I shop at Lazy Acres in part because the store carries products that accommodate my dietary needs. I should be able to shop there without feeling uncomfortable or judged, and my husband and I should not have to experience what felt like passive-aggressive or confrontational treatment from an employee simply while trying to purchase our groceries.

Cold soda pop, NiHis, jaw-breakers, ice cream bars, it was all here. Remember asking your parents for a quarter and running off with your friends to that market? Ken, the proprietor, says he owns over fifty surfboards. And I believe him cuz I think a third of them are here. They hang from the ceiling, lean against walls or lie on the floor waiting for some attention. Mop-headed, blond-haired kids come in wearing nothing more than bathing suits covered in sand and dried saltwater to stare in wide wonder at the waves these boards must have seen in their day. 8x10" faded photographs of ancient surf stars sliding down monstrous waves cover holes in the walls. However, I had a cash back offer for a box of Mini Perfect Bars, but only at Trader Joe's. There are two Trader Joe's closer to me, and two other Trader Joe's nearby, but I chose this Trader Joe's at Long Beach Marketplace on the southeast corner of PCH and 2nd since I was in the area for a couple other reasons. Trader Joe's is the anchor store here, just on the other side of PCH from a competitor, Whole Foods Market. Both have their pros and cons with Whole Foods Market being more spacious in size with a wider selection of merchandise, but bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. Trader Joe's has more of a neighborly and cozier farmers market feel, quite the contrast from Whole Foods in spite of their similar approaches to providing high quality groceries at kind of sort of affordable prices. I had been inside Trader Joe's, including this one, before whenever I felt like browsing the merchandise here and experiencing a few minutes of a cozy, neighborhood-friendly environment. But on this last visit, one of the employees who happened to be working by the entrance took a moment to welcome me, which I hadn't remembered on any of my previous encounters. I headed to the rear of the store where they had the granola bars, but I couldn't find the box of Mini Perfect Bars I was on a mission for. I went back to the front and saw a couple of female employees talking to one another. I asked them for help, and Maggie graciously assisted me when I showed her a photo of the product I was looking for. She immediately knew where it was and even led me to the refrigerated section where I'd find it. Refrigerated? Oh yes, apparently, I had forgotten that Perfect Bars weren't your ordinary shelf stable bars; instead, they were the types of bars that needed to be refrigerated* so as to retain the best (or perhaps perfect?!) quality prior to consumption. Nevertheless, I really appreciated Maggie's level of service, and it seems the employees are happier here compared to their counterparts at other grocery stores, including, shall I say it again? Whole Foods. After grabbing a box of the Mini Perfect Bars, which would expire in just less than 6 months, I headed to the checkout lanes. All the lanes seemed pretty short, and I initially chose the stand overseen by the other female employee who was speaking with Maggie a few minutes earlier. Then, I noticed the customer's cart was full of merchandise, so I hopped on over to a checkout stand with Ethan as the cashier. The customer there had half a basket left of merchandise to be scanned, but a few seconds later, another employee, Sean, called me over to his checkout stand. Since all the checkout lines were pretty short, it was easy for me to miss the shortest line. I was impressed that Sean noticed me waiting nearby, but I suppose that Trader Joe's employees like him and Maggie are trained to exude consummate customer service, likely commensurate with the price tags I mentioned in the first paragraph. And Sean was super friendly and all, even complimenting me on the hat that I was wearing even though it's not a hat that anybody in the area would wear lol. His amicable demeanor added to the neighborly atmosphere that I had already felt from being welcomed at the entrance to requesting help from Maggie and now Sean saving me a couple of minutes while wishing me a wonderful evening! The only negative about my experience was that I almost bumped into another customer who was leaving right as I was about to leave as well. But that's on me for not paying close attention to my surroundings lol. Overall, a 5-star shopping experience at this Trader Joe's! Now I hope I can get another cash back offer that would be valid only at Trader Joe's again just to have a shopping experience that can perk up my day after such a long and grueling week of work, as was the case for me this past week. * There is a note on the box that says to store in the fridge or the freezer, but it also says "Take on the go for 1 week." Good tidbit of info to share if you're considering purchasing these Perfect Bars, even if it's not at a Trader Joe's.

In the past, Trader Joe's employees have often been known for being fun, enthusiastic, professional, and knowledgeable. However, based on my experience at this location, several employees came across as snarky toward select customers, which felt inconsistent with the brand's traditionally welcoming culture. The store itself also lacked any distinctive design elements or unique thematic touches that made it memorable. As a result, the overall ambiance felt rather bland. Lastly, I noticed that both the food and product inventory appeared to be low. It seemed as though there was less variety than what is typically available at other Trader Joe's locations of comparable--or even smaller--size. Overall, this location met the basic expectations of a Trader Joe's, but it lacked the exceptional customer service, inviting atmosphere, and well-stocked selection that have historically set the brand apart.
