Great store! As often as I shop here, surprised I have never left a review. We have a Ralphs less then a mile away but I drive almost 4 miles to the Seal Beach location. It is well stocked and organized. I can always find what I am looking for. They have a great selection of cheeses (vs Marina Pacific location). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Check out is easy if using self-check or going thru a cashier. Produce section is typical for a Ralphs (I usually get produce at Gelson's or Lazy Acres, fresher and lasts longer) but I was able to pick up what I needed (even shallots). read more

Have never had a problem with the employees at this store until today. Kathy, the self checkout monitor, was being very rude to me and my wife the entire time we were checking out. I'm not sure if it has to with my wife being brown or what, but it was extremely hostile and unnecessary. To top it off, she accused us of stealing bags and wouldn't let us leave before charging us 30 cents... way to stay vigilant Kathy! read more

I ordered a special cake for my son's 20th birthday and every birthday is a special occasion for anyone and she completely ruined his cake. It looks like crap it looks like she took literally two seconds to write his name on it and this is not OK this is a celebration that we're gonna be taking pictures of and remembering forever because it's his 20th birthday and she just slapped it on there like she really didn't give a crap she needs to literally just get fired or just retire!!!!! Their holiday candy selection is always outstanding. - Carts are bussed in a timely manner & never have trash Only gripe is to cut your coupons before you get there. Went here Sunday before Thanksgiving. I was offered help multiple times, asking if I found everything I needed or if I had any questions. Probably the best service I've gotten and appreciate that they had many employees offering help around this time as it can get pretty chaotic. The lines were fast and each counter also had a someone helping bag the items. Shelves were fully stocked as well. Thank you for making it easy for us! read more

First and VERY LAST time I'll be ordering groceries for pick up from this location. It's not the closest store to me, but they had a couple items that were out of stock at my usual location. What could go wrong? I certainly regret having placed my order here. Holy.... wow. Just, wow. I don't know who decided the incredibly grumpy and extraordinarily rude young woman with red hair and tattoos on her neck (not a problem, just an identifier, should management care) should be in a customer facing position, but they are certainly not ready for it. In definite need of some basic customer service training, not to mention a bit of common sense when it comes to loading groceries in a car that will be moving. I had my note regarding how much and how to cut my deli meat completely ignored, multiple damaged items upon arriving home, and a feeling of disbelief that a simple grocery pickup could get my blood pressure up the way it did - simply unbelievable! You've lost all future business from me and those I care about. I will be warning others away from such a poorly managed store. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

After 9 years of shopping at this store, I am finally going to make a comment about this. I shop really early , before I start work, and for years, the same produce people ( one several years longer) are working in the produce section here. No matter how many times I have said good morning, they both look at your with a ugly frown on their face! They are both so miserable and must really hate their jobs. I have never gone into a grocery store's produce section, and seen any employee so rude and miserable! Most alway say good morning, as I am usually the only one in the produce section at 6 am. Just needed to get that off my chest. Nothing worst than starting your day, when your around a RUDE store employee, and afraid to ask them a question. read more

Went to Ralph's today. There was a political petition signature stand outside the front door collecting signatures for some anti-tax /Newsom prop. I mentioned I support Newsom/Democrat positions. Another couple words were exchanged between myself and the signature collector as I walked to my car. The petition taker got all worked up, crossed the parking lot to my parking spot, came up to me and threatened my personal safety and stated that I need to watch my back. I went into the store to complain. The store manager was very dismissive of my concern and stated that they don't have any authority to remove people from their sidewalk and that it was the property manager's responsibility. When asked for a district or area manager's number to complain higher they refused to provide a phone number for the higher manager. There was also an Human Resources employee on site and she too refused to provide a higher manager's number. Someone will get assaulted by this signature collector and Ralph's response will be equally dismissive and say it is someone else's responsibility. read more

NEVER buy meat price at a reduced price. You know, the ones with the red stickers! We bought 2 packs of chicken wings and they are bad. They smelled bad after opening the packages. They didn't even bake well and are very rubbery. Management, when meat goes bad throw it out instead of risking your customers' health. We will shop elsewhere! read more

This Ralph's is consistently clean and organized. Conveniently right off the 405 freeway with a Redbox kiosk. Ralph's is well known for their high quality produce. Great polite service from both the Ralph's and Starbucks employees. I like browsing the big houseware section though it's overpriced. Haven't tried their in-house poke bowl but their sushi rolls are sometimes marked down to $5. If you like potato salad, try their deli red potato salad with dill. Small auto section too, got windshield wiper fluid here when desperately needed it. Good seasonal/holiday items plus the big markdowns after the holiday! One year I even saw Fourth of July fireworks from the parking lot. Essentials and free thrills! read more

Nice large grocery store and was very clean. I appreciated the self check out option. They also have a nice Starbucks cafe. Lots of parking as well. As far as Ralphs grocery store chains go, this is a good location to go to. For the anti-maskers leaving low ratings, that is uncool. The problem is you, not the store. read more

In my opinion this store seems to have the rudest, most unhelpful people on Earth operating the self checkout section. I made the mistake of stopping here again out of pure convenience, only to have the rude cashier with the big purple lip rudely dismiss my mother as she asked for change for the lottery machine. My mother walked away as she no longer wanted anything from her, only to have this lady follow her to the machine and say "MA 'AM you don't need change, you're gonna gamble it all away?" It's a Ralph's. Pretty normal except sometimes you go to the deli counter during open hours and no one is there. You end up waiting a while seeing other people walk back and respond their on break. Poor management of break times when you have to wait 20 minutes alone at the deli counter. I would give it fewer stars for this but otherwise, it's a normal store read more

I ordered a Custom 2 Layer Cake for my Mom's BF/Companion's 90th Birthday. The Manager of the Bakery Dept, Racheal was awesome. I had forgotten to add any frosting between the layers, which she did and also added some blue frosting on top of the white border to go with my Dodger theme. I had to call the Bakery as I had to edit the flavors (there wasn't any place to do that on the website) so I actually had "2" orders. She assured me there would be just one cake. :-) Oh my gosh it was so good. White cake with Chocolate frosting. I highly recommend ordering a cake from this store. read more

Neal the assistant manager could use a course or two of customer service. Imagine buying a product that you cannot exchange or receive a refund for..? Why do I save my receipts? Neal was horrible and couldn't even keep eye contact when I was explaining my issue. This is a great Ralph's, I go here often. The staff is very kind and they always have the products I need. Love the fast self checkout and they have a great selection of organic fruits and vegetables. Be careful in the parking lot here, though. I parked on the far end today, because some of the drivers in this lot don't pay attention and are very reckless. As I was loading groceries into the trunk of my car, a man in a large white truck reversed quickly from the opposite side of the lot and nearly hit me and my car. He stopped about a foot away from me, he could have killed me. I hit the back of his truck with my hands and yelled at him, he didn't even hear or notice me. Just be careful in this parking lot. Why did self service clerk comment me in the public, " you need to go to check stand, you don't get along with this auto check out machine!" Today, January 5, 2024 I experienced a very rude female cashier about 60-65 years old at self checkout. I didn't catch her name. She was taking her time cashing someone's check and talking to her while I and several others waited at least 5 minutes to assist us. I just needed her to okay my one coupon (it took her all of 2 seconds once she got to me) after I had rang up my items and she gave me a major attitude. I can deal with the waiting, but not the tone in which she spoke to me. Shout out to the male self checkout cashier. I'm sitting here waiting for a plumber to arrive so to alleviate my boredom I'll review a grocery store. After the 2003/2004 grocery strike I stayed away from union grocery stores for years.... it wasn't until the last few I started doing business with them again (just in time for another strike possibly). I hate the Albertson's. close to my house, it's filthy, overpriced, and has a lame selection. Only thing cool is the hot wing bar.... if they ever keep it stocked up. Vons has a nice vibe but it has ridiculous prices... it has a cool olive bar but like Albertson's wing bar it's always empty. Parking is always plentiful and there's always enough cashier lines open. This Ralphs is excellent... I'm giving it 5 stars in the Union grocery store category since it's my favorite of all the big name grocery stores within driving distance. I'm not putting this in the same category as Trader Joe's, Bristol Farms, etc. This specific Ralphs is great. It's super clean, has a very relaxing vibe to it, prices are very reasonable, employees are friendly, club card gives pretty good rewards such as $10 coupons after spending a certain amount, and lots of cool products you normally find at the smaller mom & pop grocery stores. The icing on the cake is their entire section of Boar's Head brand stuff.... deli meats, cheeses, salamis, hot dogs, etc. If this place installed a olive bar and a hot wing bar it would be perfect! And they carry frozen matzo ball soup by Tabatchnick which is really good. Not much else to say..... it's a grocery store. They sell groceries. read more

The manager on duty told me people in this city dont but bread after 7pm, and yet they are open until 1am. Ive never seen any major grocery outlet toss their baked products so early in the evening. Only 4 *'s because there are times the lines for check can stack up. It could be that Lesiure World bus them in. I find that the produce, is always filled and properly rotated. Meat department has great specials during the week. Never had a bad experience. Floor shelves stocked most of the time. With the pandemic going on it's unstable that they will be short of a few items. Only thing I see the elderly struggling to get some of the high products off the shelf. Suggestion always have one person just roaming the store to help customers. Biggest downfall in almost all Kroger's. My best is a 5* for the pharmacy staff. They always greet customers with a smile. They always send texts when my prescriptions are ready. And remember my name. Warn me of any cross between drugs. And always ask if I understand any new prescriptions. I didn't know Ralphs pays you to stand & text? Anyways, my sister is a district manager for Ralphs, already reported him to her.
