I never even seen the response back from my initial review. However....what was stated I completely disagree. I stated upong checking in we think he has allergies...And as discussed I was never notified that 1-Benadryl was being given as much as it was 2-I was NEVER notified as you called it "he started favoring that one side" which when I picked him up he was walking with an antalgic gait and you agreed with us that there was NO EXCUSE as to why I was never notified. I think your response to what happened is definitely biased considering you want to show a good face for your business. What wasn't mentioned is that you also wanted me to REMOVE MY REVIEW...Which I chose not to. Either way...I thank God my dog was ok. It was never an allergy issue he developed a bacterial infection and his change in his behavior was never once mentioned to me. If you drop your kids off at daycare....parents are notified when Tylenol is given and when they aren't acting normal. So there should be no difference in dog care. read more

Never taking my dog here again. The staff is so hit or miss - either you get someone who is attentive or you get someone who doesn't know up from down and places you on hold for 4+ min. Both times I have had to dial back in and unfortunately speak with the same person both times but yet they ll dial you several times when you don't answer. Carry that same practice to your clients because it shouldn't take more than a minute to put someone on hold for a dang pet center. Your policy of dropping off dogs after 3 is the most asinine practice I have ever heard of. $20 for a fee after drop off time though it's not specified when you call to make reservations with them. Your hours of operation are from 7-7 and you want people who have regular jobs not watching puppies all day, to make it there before 3 or you charge a penalty... never taking my dog here again. I'll take my business elsewhere after the two visits because I know $300+ for 3 days will be taken more seriously at another resort who watches four legged animals. read more

One of my favourite places to take my dog Teddy. Especially because they have a camera and nice big windows and it appears really clean. The reasons I stopped going here and continued going to the competitors down the street is that they close at 4pm on Sundays (7pm on Saturdays I believe) and I like to have my dog at daycare all day on weekends. Also, at some point they re adjusted the camera so it is only framed on a small area so you only see your dog if he happens to be running through that frame when you are looking. I did mention it to them the last time I was there. The camera used to show the entire play areas. Also, their punch cards expire after 1 year and at the other doggy daycares that we go to, they never expire. Lastly, they charge the most for daycare out of any of the ones we go to. If all of these were resolved I would be happy to go back. read more

I was really hopeful to be able to board my puppy here during my upcoming vacation. I placed my reservation request and promptly received a call back saying that they had accepted. Due to plans over the holiday weekend I called them back today. When the employee answered the phone I said I was calling to moved forward with my reservation that had been "approved". He stated that he didn't know what approval I was talking about. I tried to explain myself further but I assume I was using the wrong verbiage. He was able to see my request via phone number instead. I advised him that my puppy would be receiving all his shots prior to arrival. I stated that I was trying to get them done the day before. He said that I needed to follow inoculation procedures and that they were unable to accommodate him till 48 hours post injections. I understood that watching for possible complications is important. I was going based off of when the vet told me to come back to complete his vaccines. I found out later coming in a few days early won't matter so getting him vaccinated 48 hours prior wouldn't have been an issue. My problem with how this was handled at Paw Commons was that I was automatically shut down instead of trying to work with me or educate me further on vaccines where I'm obviously not an expert. I am writing this review to hopefully inform the company of possible hospitality issues with regards to customer service. read more

This morning I dropped off my little guy for daycare and the second we pulled into the parking lot he barked out of excitement. He pulled me to the door, jumped up to push it open, and ran straight into an employee's arms without so much as a glance back to say goodbye to me! He's attended daycare at Paw Commons three times before and stayed overnight once. His reaction is the best feeling as a dog mom. Not impressed. We had a reservation for overnight boarding for our 4 month old puppy, and upon going to the evaluation, we were turned away because they said we needed 1 more parvo vaccine. We take our dog to San Tan Animal Hospital, and we have a complete record of vaccines, receipts for them and even record from our breeder of shots he had before we got him. This tells me they have a separate set of rules than the vet, which I'm not impressed by because I would much rather take health advice and vaccine advice of our puppy from a trusted vet, not a desk worker at a kennel. We cancelled our reservation and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Horrible customer service! I made a reservation for my dog. The woman I spoke with told me she would take care of calling my vet to verify his vaccination record. When I show up to drop off my dog, I was told no one was able to get ahold of my vets office and they cannot take my dog. This was Memorial Day weekend as I am on my way out of town. When asked why no one called me to tell me, just got a shrug and no options to help me. I had to scramble and find a friend to watch my dog. Never again would I use this business or recommend them. My dog stated coming about a month ago. He was very shy and scared of people and other dogs. His tail was constantly tucked, he shook, and sometimes peed himself. Wouldn't allow himself to drink water, eat, play, or even potty away from me. He very much needed to learn to survive away from me. My dog has grown up so much in the short time he has been attending. Transformed even. He now walks up to just about every member with his tail wagging so hard, it at times almost looks like he achieves windmill action. He is all smiles, has started kissing the staff, is eating away from me, and displays a more confident demeanor. He is so engaged while there that he sleeps from about the minute he gets home until the next morning. Only nights where he doesn't get up at random through the night. He acts like he is thinking more for himself. They are the only ones beside family that he is so willing and happy with. Bottom line: Paw Commons and it's entire staff are miraculous. They are patient and loving and above all respect the animal. The animals aren't just herded and watched over. They really get to know and care about our pets. read more

This place would not take my dog for daycare because they said one of the vaccines is "expired".. I called my Vet and they told me it won't expire in a few more months, it is a year vaccine. Called back Paw Commons and they still would not take my dog because they say the vaccine expires in 6 months. They cannot provide any evidence to support their statement and just did not want to talk to me. Clearly they don't know anything about vaccines. If it is a year vaccine, it should last a year. I have no idea where they get the information saying it expires 6 months. What is the point of having a year vaccine if it doesn't last a year?? Paw Commons, please get your clinical information straight and don't provide any false information to your customers. read more

I recently relocated to the Gilbert area and needed a go to doggyday care center. I did some research and visited 3 different ones in the area. After visiting Gilbert dogs and Pete and macs I decided to go with paw commons. Not only the atmosphere and customer service surpassed all the other competitors But it was SO SO CLEAN compared to the others I . I love the fact they offer grooming services while my fur baby can get clean and play after words. Also they have a LIVE webcam where you can check in on your baby while she is under their care. They offer reasonable prices and bundle deals but you definitely get what you pay for. If you want the up most best care for your little 4 legged family member I highly recommend paw commons! Sky Loves it and comes home tired and ready for bed! It's also all indoor and AC which was a big concern considering I have a husky and her being comfortable is important! Thanks Paw Commons for being the best! Update August 3rd 2018, I've recently decided to try out paw commons grooming as well as daycare so far we've had 3-4 visits for grooming and they have been amazing! Fair and honest price and you can trust paw commons to provide excellent care for your pets. They have windows where you can actually see the groomer from the lobby. I have to say that this facility is great!! The first visit was the evaluation to see if my pup would be a good fit. This was my first time considering doggy day care and had a lot of questions. The staff is extremely friendly and answered al my questions even when I asked twice. I decided to get the 20 day punch card and my pup loves it! She was a little shy at first but the staff helped introduce her to the other dogs and now she is running around with the big dogs. Her behavior outside of the day care has also improved!! She does not bark nearly as much as she use to and not afraid. I definitely recommend them! read more

I've been coming here since December. I work a lot, and I don't like leaving my dog at home, so she's a frequent visitor here. They have always gone above and beyond to help me and take care of my dog. I have pretty high expectations and somehow they seem to exceed them! I truly feel like they see my dog as one of their own. Their staff has a low turnover too, which says a lot about how their facility is ran and their employees are treated. They clean the whole place every night, and I always pick up a happy doggie from here. Shaw and Junior are amazing managers, but the whole team is awesome and I can tell they really care about my babes. Could not recommend this place enough!! read more

Love Love this place... I wanted a place to take my puppy to that she can play and socialize a few times a week... She absolutely loves to go! The minute we pull up she cannot wait to get out and see her friends. Very clean, Very controlled but still allows the pooches to play and have fun. They do a great job of rotating crew in/out of the different play areas. The staff seems very knowledgeable and are so pleasant. It was our puppy's very first time meeting dogs and it was such a relief walking into this place. Very clean and professional, staff was super helpful and friendly. All the dogs in there were calm and behaved since they have multiple staff walking around. The dogs are separated in size and their temperament so felt totally comfortable having my little one in. I called to board my dog for 24 hours, but I was very put off with them pressuring me for all the added on fees. Furthermore, bordetella shots are good for one year but they require it every 6 months. Completely unnecessary. I just did not get a good vibe with their attitude so went elsewhere. read more

Paw Commons is fantastic! My pups, Layla and Buddy, have been there a couple times now and they are always well cared for and come home happy and tired. I love the web cams in the playroom so that I can keep an eye on them during the day. I was a wreck about leaving my 2 year old chiweenie for Christmas but shortly after walking into Paw Commons I was totally at ease. We set up a half day trial and Britney had so much fun playing with all the other dogs, she was exhausted when I picked her up. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and spent time telling me about Paw Commons and answering all my questions. All the other employees I met were just as kind and welcoming. It was great to be able to check in on Brit via the internet and see her play. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! I'm new to the area and was looking for a boarding facility for my two dogs for an upcoming vacation. I came across Paw Commons here on Yelp and was impressed with their website. When I called to inquire about price and availability I was disappointed and shocked to find out that they would not take my dogs because they are 14 years old and said it was company policy not to board dogs over 12 years old and referred me to a vet for boarding. They are healthy dogs who still have the energy of puppies. At least bring them in for an evaluation before turning away business. Very disappointed with this company! read more

He got plenty of attention, lots of socialization and play time with other dogs and he was a happy but tired boy when we got home. He was there 4 days and we couldn't have had a better experience. Our 7 month old pup is in puppy school and our trainer recommended that she go to a daycare to get socialized. We stumbled upon this place because we live in Gilbert and I called ahead and received some information before we took Payson in. You do need to get your dog screened before they allow it to stay for daycare or boarding which I think is great (so I know that she will be with other dogs her temperament). After she passed her initial screen I let her stay for about 3 1/2 hours and she was placed with the small dogs even though she's about 40 pounds. I think this was best for her because I did not want her to be afraid of the big dogs since she is a little bit anxious. I was very impressed by how quickly the accidents were cleaned up and how closely the dogs were monitored. I really did enjoy checking in time to time on the Internet on their live WebCam. The facility seemed very clean and the staff were very welcoming and nice. We will be visiting again soon ..hopefully she decides to make some friends next time. read more

Everyone there is so friendly and truly looks after your animal. They have gone out of their way to help my dog become more social. I love the fact that I can drop him off for day care and he can be groomed while I'm at work. My dog Chewy has had 2 baths/haircuts at Paw Commons and always comes out looking squeaky clean and so soft! We use Ryan as our groomer but all the staff has been great to us. We also tried dog daycare once and he had so much fun! It's hard having a dog with no backyard so it was nice to be able to let him release some energy for a few hours. I like that I can see in the window to the daycare area and the staff are always keeping close watch and interacting with the dogs so I feel safe leaving my baby there. read more

Paw Commons was my first experience with a pet hotel and it was a great one. They were very patient and helpful with my millions of questions. They went over every detail to make sure my dog's stay was comfortable and I was able to leave her there without a worry. They had dog cams in the play areas so it was easy to see that my dog was having fun playing with the other dogs and getting attention from the workers. This is definitely our new go to place for dog boarding! Just had a last minute trip come up and they were able to take our 2y/o 85lb Shepard last minute! Staff was amazing and it was obvious they love there jobs and the animals! It was so nice to be able to watch him on the cameras they have set up in the play yards while we were away, couldn't have been happier with the in depth report we got on his stay and his behavior while he was there and the report card he came home with! I recently took my 12 year old female Havanese to Paw Commons. She was going in for a grooming appointment along with some doggy day care. She can get very nervous when getting groomed. Ryan did a fantastic job he made sure she was comfortable and gave her a great haircut. He did a great job on her face and entire body. She couldn't be more happy now that she has a lighter coat for the hot summer. She spent the afternoon with the other small pups and had a great time. The staff is very attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs feel comfortable. I would highly recommend going here. I would not recommend Paw Commons for Doggie Day Care. We have taken our dog there off and on and saw some things we weren't a fan of, and every time we would talk to the staff about it, they would have a *somewhat* valid excuse. Well, today was the breaking point. Today, we brought our very well behaved 1 year old American Bull Terrior and our 5 month old Australian Shepherd. It was the Aussies first time going, and we informed that they can play rough at home but they are never rough when we informed them that they sometimes play rough at home but they play rough at the dog park. They are just very loud and vocal (they bark a lot to br playful). The staff member said that was common and not to worry, they would just separate them while they were there. We were fine with that and thankful they informed us beforehand. About 45 minutes after my husband and I left, we checked video cameras (which we love that they have) and saw that our American Bull Terrior was playing nicely with a Huskey and Black lab, but the Huskey kept being pushy with her. As our dog was running away, the worker (who was just standing there not interacting with the dogs) quickly snatched our dog and shoved her in a kennel. Yes, I understand that sometimes dogs need a break and maybe there in the moment it was becoming overwhelming that these 3 dogs were CHASING each other, but I mean they are suppose to be playing- thats what we are paying for right?! Anywho, we brushed it off after we saw that she was let out 10 minutes later. However, my husband checked periodically throughout the day and counted her being put in a kenel 4 times and the last one being 30 minutes long. That means she spent at least an hour in a kennel while she was there. Please keep in mind, we watched dogs humping each other on the video camera, dogs jumping on each other, but the only dog that they kept putting in a kennel was our American Bull Terrior. This did not sit well with either of us. When we went to go pick them up, we waited to see if they would mention that our dog spent a total of 60 minutes in time out, and they didn't until we mentioned something. When I brought it up, their excuse was that she is too friendly and wants to play so much that the other dogs were getting tired of it and she needed to be put away.. TOO FRIENDLY?!?! WANTED TO PLAY TOO MUCH?!?! ISN'T THAT WHAT I AM PAYING THIS BUSINESS TO DO?! PLAY WITH MY HIGH ENGERGY DOG SO SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE IN A KENNEL AT HOME?!?! When I brought up what we saw on the video camera, they were like "oh" and walked away. I am never bringing my dogs back here, and would not recommend this is ANYONE. Especially if you have a bully breed, because the workers clearly discriminate against that breed. Plus all they do is sit on their butts and not interact with the dogs. On top of that, we paid for our 5 month old to get a bath and nail trim while he was there. When we picked him up, his legs smelt like pee and his nails were not trimmed properly. Some were long, some were short. We had to fix it ourselves when we got home. Very upset over our experience and how they were so dismissive of our concern. read more

A family friend of ours recommended that we board our beloved family dog at Paw Commons. We took a quick trip recently so we thought we'd give them a try. After boarding my dog there for a few days, there is nowhere else in Gilbert that I would ever consider boarding my dog in the future. The staff is not just friendly and helpful, but they are pet LOVERS! Above all, they are people I know I can trust with my dog. There are cameras GALORE in this facility, and we really got a kick out of watching our dog play with other dogs her size in the play area online. At the end of her stay, the staff gave her a report card and shared several details about her visit. We will only take our dog to Paw Commons from now on. read more
