I wrote my first review over four years ago, and I can say we are still loyal and very happy customers! Grooming days are exciting because I know my boy will come back to me looking so cute and smelling so good--every time! I always schedule with Sherri, and she is the sweetest. My westie boy has a specific cut for his breed, and Ms. Sherri always does such a great job. Appointments are easy to get, and prices are fair, in my opinion. I've also interacted with most of the staff, and everyone is friendly and seems to genuinely take care and pride in their work with the pups. Thank you to the owner, Billy! I will continue bringing my Wilson to VIP for all of his grooming needs. We love it!

I brought my dog in over Easter weekend, and because I was injured, I wasn't able to fully brush her out beforehand like I usually do. She's a Pomeranian with thick fur, and while she did have some matting in typical areas, it was not severe. I've worked in a veterinary setting, so I'm familiar with what's manageable. When my husband dropped her off, he was told they wouldn't be able to achieve the usual teddy bear cut and suggested shaving her down instead. What wasn't communicated clearly was just how short that would be. When I picked her up, she was shaved extremely close, far beyond what I expected, and it was honestly shocking. She looked nothing like herself. This isn't the first issue. On a previous visit, she was cut so short that she developed irritation and a rash, and her tail was left uneven to the point that I had to trim it myself after it got soiled immediately. I've also since heard from friends and family (that I referred) who've had similar experiences, especially during busy weekends or holidays. It seems like overbooking may lead to rushed grooms and defaulting to shaving dogs down rather than working through coats more carefully. I also want to note that vaccination status was never asked about, which initially made this place convenient for me at the time, but in hindsight, that's not something I'm comfortable with. I've communicated before that I don't want my dog shaved down this short, and I just don't feel that preference has been respected or clearly discussed. Between the inconsistent results, lack of communication, and overall experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward

He was very hands-on and made every effort to make the experience great for us. The facility is so clean, convenient, and easily accessible. We were so grateful that we didn't have to break our backs and lift her up into the sink. It really scared me, and I was hesitant to trust someone new with him. But I decided to give Pawtastic a try, and I'm so glad I did. From the very first visit, the staff have been incredibly kind, genuine and caring. You can truly tell that they love what they do and treat our four-legged friends like they're their own. They also keep great notes on his grooming, so they remember exactly how I like his cut which takes a lot of stress off both of us. I dropped him off around 8:30 and got the call to pick him up a little after 2. It is a longer wait than what I am used to, but the level of care is worth it. Chopper came back looking adorable, and his coat was extra soft and shiny which I really appreciated. Previously we had taken him to a dog and cat groomers just one that I randomly found and my cat came back pretty traumatized and half wet. So it was really important for me to find a groomers that was super patient and knew what they were doing. I was willing to pay a premium for that. That's when I stumbled on Hpapy Cat on yelp and noticed that they were a cat only groomers.. great.. and better yet they only do 1 cat at a time and request the owner to be present. Amazing?! Not sure if most groomers adopt this model (outside of mobile grooming) but wow! And then reading all the amazing review, I had to check them out. Cypress is out of the way for me but I was willing to make that drive. I made the appointment through yelp and we communicated via text afterwards. you do have to present proof of vacination for safety reasons. They were so gently with my baby boy and he didn't scream as much as I thought he usually did and with previous groomers. The appointment took about an hour and was super fast and he was deshedded, washed, dried and pretty content! They also gave me tips and pointers on how we should keep up with his grooming habits.
