Last Saturday, my partner spoke with Jim about a Honda Civic. Jim asked my partner to speak with John, who was in the office that day. When we arrived, John was incredibly friendly. He kept referring to my partner as "my friend," and showed us pictures of his recent trip to Ireland. He also immediately started talking to my partner as if the purchase of the car was a done deal. He accompanied us on a test drive of the vehicle. During the test drive, John mentioned taking the car onto the freeway, but then directed my partner back to the office after driving right down the street, circling a lot, and then driving back. When we arrived back at the office, John pulled out some paperwork and gave it to my partner. Again, he was acting as if the transaction was a done deal. When we started trying to negotiate with him, everything changed. "My friend" went straight out the window, his smile turned into a frown, and he said to us twice that he wouldn't have had us come all the way down there if he had known that we were going to try to negotiate. What car dealership expects customers to purchase a vehicle without negotiation? I had to bite my tongue to keep from telling him that he didn't have us come down there, and that we chose to come take a look at the vehicle. At one point, he pulled the old "let me go talk to my boss" routine and stepped outside for a few minutes. When he returned, he refused to negotiate. Needless to say, we did not purchase the vehicle. And also needless to say, we do not recommend this business.

I arrived to a shop that looked like an abandoned building, but inside was filled with beautiful classics. I'm only talking about this so that if anyone in the future decides to look into this company ahead of time, just know you are in the right spot when you pull up to a white, abandoned-looking building. Here's what this place did great, and here's where they went wrong: Right off the bat, when I walked in the door, they had the carfax report on the table and were very open about the 2 crashes the car had been in. I appreciated that. This 4Runner I was looking at also happened to have extensive documented maintenance, that was prepared and on the table for me to view when I walked in. We then took this 4Runner out to the shipyards near magnolia where I was given free rein to drive it around. This 4Runner was a manual. The clutch was seriously wrong, and it was noticeable. It did not have transmission issues, but the clutch pedal was not effective and it was tough to drive, so it was noticeable. We drove it around for a little bit and headed back to the shop where I sat down to look at the maintenance records they had available. This particular 4Runner had a lot of clutch work done, so I was concerned. I brought it up to Alex, and he recommended to take the 4Runner into their shop to get it fixed before they were to sell it. That was much appreciated. They didn't try to shrug me off and move on to another customer and try to sell a broken 4Runner for $14k to the next customer, they stopped, addressed the problem, and tried to move on. In my opinion, that's how business should be done. Kudos Here's where I believe they went wrong. They were trying to sell a 4Runner with 90% of the factory options for the price of a 4Runner that had 100% of the factory options. When you go on used car markets elsewhere, you could find that exact car for $8500-10k easily because nobody wants a 4Runner without all the 4x4 factory options. To make things worse, they were trying to sell that 4Runner with clutch issues. In my opinion, that is not how you do business. They had already taken the time to do repairs on the 4Runner ahead of time, the clutch pedal should've been addressed prior to listing or the price should've been lowered. I wish this team the best of luck selling that 4Runner, and I wish you luck on finding a car that's right for you. If you decide to come here, make sure to ask for Alex. He's about as stand up as a dealership salesman can come. I will still recommend this shop to anyone looking for specifics. To me, this shop appears to only buy specific cars that are in high demand due to rarity, price, etc. so they might have what you're looking for. I should also add that even though they had some questionable ethics, this shop was the most honest dealership I've been to in the last 3-4 weeks and I've been inside 7 different shops across the Seattle area this month. P.s. I ended up buying a truck of Facebook marketplace. I went to this shop with the intention of buying the 4Runner, but was turned off by them asking $13,900 for a 4Runner without the factory lockers and with clutch issues. You can find the same 4Runner on Facebook marketplace for anywhere between $8,500-10k because nobody wants a 4x4 4Runner without the factory lockers.

BUYER BEWARE: A good…read moremajority of the trucks on their lot have been imported from Canada. If you don't already know, Canadian roads are VERY hard on cars/trucks and often have rust problems. I almost fell into this trap. I was very close to buying a truck from them, but wasn't made aware the truck was imported from Canada until I was almost done signing for it. There must be some sort of law that mandates dealerships to disclose imported vehicles. I stopped the signing process and went and looked at the under belly of the 3 year old truck I was about to buy and it was completely rusted out. No deal! It would have been nice if this dealership was more up front about this. It felt sneaky. I should have done a better job of looking at CarFax instead of trusting the inspection report that was provided to me. It felt like the finance manager was trying to get me to rush through the signing process so I wouldn't notice or question anything. Later that night I went on their website and saw that almost every one of the trucks listed have been imported from Canada.

After taking a minute to go over the car on my own I came back to ask about a potential trade-in and test drive, so we went out to evaluate my trade-in which came way under what Carmax/Carvana/TrueCar offered (and way under the values he was given when he researched the car on his computer, I don't think he knew I could see the screen) and I was told he doesn't do "informational test drives." What kind of dealership doesn't offer test drives of their vehicles? On top of that all the vehicles on their lot are sold as-is so there is no form of dealer warranty on any vehicles sold here. I would suggest anyone to look somewhere more reputable that offers warranties and test drives for their cars because apparently there is a serious lack of confidence here in the cars they are selling.

He pulled up five different luxury cars for me to test-drive--back-to-back--never once rushing me, and did it all with a smile. At one point another customer came in who was looking at a more expensive vehicle, and even then, Pat stayed focused on me and made sure my experience stayed the priority. That meant a lot. Here are my two standout experiences... A while back my car said it was overheating. I stopped by a Grease Monkey and they said I needed a new part that they would have to order and gave me a deadline. I was very suspicious of this . I then went to Burien Truck Repair and they told me they would look and charge me a diagnostic fee. In the end, they didn't need a new part, it just needed to be cleaned. They did that, lumped the diagnostic fee into the repair since they actually did it and saved me $200-300. They also gave me a ride to work while I waited! Next! Biggie! Things have been rough and my plate was stacked. I was pulling into the dentist last week and I suddenly heard the most horrendous noise. I was expecting to see a pipe dragging. Very flustered, I went in and the hygienist said she heard it too. I called BTR and Christy had me hold my phone out and drive back and forth a bit. She said that sounded terrible and, while they were about to close, rush over. I pulled in, getting many WTF looks. Christy ran over with another guy saying she heard it from the back. They immediately looked at it and said it wasn't safe to drive home and said they'd be on it first thing...and AGAIN gave me a ride! I got a call around 9 and...it was a rock. I drove over a rock and it wedged itself up behind my tire. The charge? $0! Wholly moly! So basically they are the best, not just in customer service and car repair, but hi just all around standout people. I can not express this enough. BEWARE Refusing to give me paperwork in regard to work done on my 2019 Subaru they sold to me with…read morea messed up transmission and an oil leak. This is illegal behavior as WA requires any work done to a vehicle (regardless of customer paying for the work or not!) to be available to the customer and they are super manipulative in terms of a dealership. They told my auto shop if I left a good review they would then give me the paper work. They are angry because they gave me the option to pay or not to pay, they literally told me they will take care of it and if I felt I could pay something I could and if not they would still take care of it regardless. I spent exactly what I had on purchasing the vehicle from them and explained that on the phone. The car was at 156k miles which I realize is high mileage but I have always driven Subarus and taken care of the vehicle the last I had was 188k miles and these issues were never present. I of course would be frustrated knowing I spent thousands at their shop on a vehicle purchased with a messed up transmission, vehicle was sold "as-is" but that is information that should be shared with the customer purchasing and when asked was told everything was great with the vehicle. I called with issues within a month of purchasing my vehicle from them in which the day I purchased it jumped/jolted when shifting gears noting issues with the transmission. I myself did not realize this was specifically a transmission issue, until two close guy friends mentioned that isn't normal. When I called about the specific oil leak I noticed I mentioned the jolting and Andray was handling all of my calls. He told me it could have happened 10 minutes or days later after I left the dealership that they have inspected all vehicles and I should have called as soon as I noticed it. I truly didn't think it was a transmission issue. We went back and forth on the phone an entire day as I was frustrated, and trying to reason with them. He told me they'd take care of the oil leak which I appreciated but said I'd need to agree to pay $2,000 for the parts of replacing the transmission or to purchase the $3300 warranty and keep driving until I ran into my transmission fully giving out if it does that. I said I would not agree to paying anything yet. I asked if they would just repurchase the car back and he said no then called back and said yes they would for $7,000, I purchased the vehicle at a price of $11,000, after taxes and fees $13,200, which was exactly the amount I had from a vehicle deemed total loss. The fact they wanted to repurchase at such a drastic drop in price I mentioned concerned me more was wrong with my vehicle than was shared at the time of purchase. Andray then shared he would take $500 out of his own pocket, saying I promise you Amber it's from my own pocket my own personal money to take care of part of the parts for your total only being $1500. I'm sorry but you all sold a vehicle with a messed up transmission - you should take care of that! Also - clearly the whole situation frustrated me and I was not happy as a customer. You then told me "if you are going to be like this we cannot help you at all" I honestly was just sharing frustration in the transmission being trash at the time of purchase and how it felt I couldn't catch a break, of course as a customer I am not going to be happy when I spent everything I had on a vehicle with a messed up transmission. That wasn't disclosed to me! And within 15 seconds of saying he couldn't help me he said we want to make the customer happy so you know we will take care of this and if you feel you should pay you can and if not we will take care of it. YOU ALL gave ME the option to pay or not to PAY. I am clearly upset and feel it is on you all to take care of the vehicle you sold to me that was messed up, of course I am going to go with the option of you all taking care of what you sold!! Don't give your customer the option to pay or not to pay if you're going to turn it around on them! Avoid this dealership they are scummy individuals.

There were crumbs and dust in the corners of some of the trays in the interior, the windshield had stuff stuck to it still, and paint job had places where stuff was stuck to it still, the side windows had very visible streaks from the cleaner, and the hood had waters spots which makes me think they let the vehicle air dry instead of hand drying it. I gave three stars because it wasn't a bad job. It just wasn't up to the standards I would expect for a professional detailing at the price.
