My dinner tonight at Pazza was absolutely satisfactory. I started out with the fried calamari and it was the freshest calamari I've ever had, far exceeding my expectations. My next serving was the deconstructed tiramisu, which was surprisingly filling for how small the dish appeared. Also exceeding expectations. Service was good and the food came out very quickly. Came in for late night just after they opened. Disappointed at first they started serving the late menu at 1030 instead of the stated 11pm. But we made do. Sat at the bar. Slow service but decent. Went back for brunch recently, what a different experience. The specials were great (donuts and a breakfast sandwich!). The waitress we had was amazing. Came for brunch, had the Mona Lisa sandwich, absolutely fantastic, perfectly cooked chicken and wonderfully crispy focaccia bread. The balsamic drizzle was just the sweetness it needed. Also had the 'Pazza scramble', great eggs and homefries. The bacon was the real star, the top five Ive ever had, smokey, thick and perfectly cooked through. Wish I did not need to select a rating as we did not even get a chance to experience the dining. Scheduled a reservation a week and a half ago to celebrate three special occasions with friends- booked the patio due to covid precautions. Hostess confirmed that there openings for the patio that day. We received a call an hour and a half before our reservation to inform us that our reservation no longer stood, as a private party had arrived. We expressed our confusion, and were told that "it happens all of the time." Unfortunately at this point with such short notice, we couldn't locate another outdoor reservation on such a beautiful day. They didn't seem too remorseful when we cancelled our reservation. My family and I decided to try Pazza on Porter for the first time this past weekend for brunch. We were absolutely blown away by every aspect of the meal - from food, to drinks, to service. We had the grilled salad as an appetizer, which was a hit with everyone. For the main meal, two of us had the Benedetto, one had the Pazza scramble and I had the meatball sub. None of us had a single bad thing to say about our choice. The home fries were phenomenal. The meatball sub was the best take on it I've ever had. We ended with the tiramisu truffles for dessert and again everyone loved them. We all had cocktails, which were delicious and well priced. We would come back here for the drinks alone, it is as good a bar as it is a restaurant. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Everything came out correctly and in good time. We only had great things to say about our experience at Pazza and look forward to coming back! read more

Came back for my second visit to see if the menu execution had improved and I was once again left underwhelmed. My table had the octopus appetizer that came out room temperature and not warm, overall it was an ok dish. For entrees we had the bolognese, lamb lollipops, and salmon. The bolognese and salmon were both fine but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the lamb lollipops that we were most excited about fell flat on flavor. I wanted to give Pazza another try because it would be the perfect regular date night down the street from my house but it just hasn't delivered. read more

Came for dinner with a friend from out of town and it was incredible! Espresso martini and Buona Notte were amazing, all of the food was incredible from the antipasto board and fig and ricotta bruschetta, to the carbonara and gnocchi, with their pumpkin cannoli to finish! For the past year, we enjoyed excellent food, drinks, and service at Pazza. This afternoon we arrived to find their former parking lot fenced off with only a couple of non-resident spaces. All of the surrounding streets are marked resident only parking, so sadly this is now a place for locals who can walk there or people who Uber. And they had no record of our reservation booked two weeks ago. We will miss visiting this spot and Next Door, and Ana, who is a wonderful server. read more

I tried the alla pazza after seeing a picture of the dish online... long story short the dish was not good... sauce had 0 flavor, dish was soupy, and the sausage was terrible... if you're looking for good pasta go elsewhere. Had the fig and ricotta bruschetta and alla pazza. Bruschetta could have used more and sweeter fig but was otherwise good. All pazza was good also but not exactly great. I don't have a good recommendation to make the pasta dish better other than perhaps to have fresh parmesan cheese versus the powdered stuff. read more

Went here for opening night and the food was terrible. Came back for a meetup, and for some reason they put us all on one tab...despite asking us which tab we were on all night. I got stuck paying for $50 worth of food/drinks that I didn't even order- and the bartender was incredibly rude about it. Will not come back. Please open a Starbucks here. read more

This is one of my new favorite spots! Upon walking in a absolutely LOVED the vibe, it's trendy without being pretentious and instantly feels warm and inviting. That inviting feeling became more evident while looking at the diverse crowd at the bar; this did not present as just another gentrified Eastie spot. There were plenty of tvs to watch the game but they didn't overpower the atmosphere. They have a unique and quirky drink menu I had their version of a Negroni as well as a house infused whiskey drink, my partner had a dirty martini topped with a blue cheese stuffed olive and followed it up with a Negroni as well, they were all delicious! We had the muscles for an app and they were cooked perfectly in a fra diavlo which was perfectly spicy. For dinner we both had the caprese salad with steak tips and it was sooooo good! The staff was wonderful, and a special thanks to Thor who was both bar tending and serving us at the high top. He was friendly and skilled at his mixology! The staff gifted us espresso martinis after an earlier discussion about them. We will be here many times to come! read more

The only positive thing about my first and last visit to Pazza on Porter was the ambiance. The food and drinks are average but the service we received was awful. Our server made us feel unwelcomed and invisible. Our server didn't refill our waters until asked, she didn't bring us bread until we asked for it twice and didn't remove our empty dishes from our table until asked. Overall, I'm disappointed in management. This behavior is unacceptable. Management was on premises the evening of our visit. What an awful and saddening experience. read more
