I understand it was the first night, however, we were not spoken to until 30 minutes into being seated. A manager came up to us and apologized, but still didn't get us a waitress. Finally got waited on. An hour goes by after placing our order, and our waitress comes up to us asking "how was everything? Would you like some dessert?"--thinking we had already been served our dinner. 30 minutes after that, we finally got our food. Lots of things to work out--especially their customer service. Went for $10 pasta Tuesday. The dinner menu said pasta was $10 on Tuesday and nothing beyond that. So we ordered all of our food from the dinner menu. Imagine our surprise when the check came with all the pasta at the original prices. It's only at this point that the waitress revealed to us, "Oh. It's a different menu. We won't see our server for the longest time and have to flag down others for another round of drinks/to order food/ for water. When the server would come, they would almost act inconvenienced. Alright my roommate and I ordered food on Uber eats, we got Cesar salads with added steak tips and the fried burrata. THe food itself was so good- the burrata was amazing and the steak tips were delicious. However.. the salads were 18 dollars 9 for the salad and 9 for the steak, fine- BUT THE SALAD was LITERALLY the side of a side salad.. maybe. The steak tips were delicious and they gave us a pretty hefty portion but .. 9 dollars alone for a tiny salad seems crazy to me. However food was delish! read more

Nice addition to the location where Ecco was for many years. Good food, good services, nice atmosphere, not too expensive, easy parking. Convenient, easy parking in lot behind the restaurant. We had an early 5:15pm Thursday evening reception and the five of us were seated at a wonderful round table in the corner (ask for it!). Nice atmosphere, not too loud. The beer list was decent. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the fried olives and arancini rice balls as appetizers - both were great. Our entrees (risotto, eggplant parm, haddock, salmon) were all good, and the prices are reasonable. The eggplant parm portion was huge, enough for 2-3 people. The pasta looks handmade. My aunt had the "berries and cream" dessert and loved it. Only very minor complaints are: 1) pasta choices were limited (spaghetti or fusilli) for an Italian restaurant; 2) they did not offer freshly grated parmesan to go on the pasta that accompanied each entree. When I asked for some parmesan, the waiter brought out a small cup, but it looked like inexpensive store-bought parmesan, not freshly grated parmesan; and 3) I had a coffee with dessert and it was nothing special, not what I expect from an Italian restaurant. read more

Food is great! Drinks will come out different no matter what you order. The man who I assume is the manager is extremely condescending, everytime I'm there it's as if I'm a bother being there. Got a meal with some modifications none of which were correct. Had brunch here and the food came before the drinks and took forever. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Beginning with the menu--there are so many options and everything sounds so good it was hard to choose. You have to get the fried olives to start because they were unbelievable. For dinner it was the alla pazza, which was so good I finished the whole plate (a perfect portion) despite filling up on appetizers before. Our waitress was wonderful and so pleasant. We popped in to this place for the first time. Great service right from the get-go at door with a friendly greeting. Sat at the bar. My wife's martini was great. House pino noir was on tap. Tasted great. Had the "Mona Lisa" sandwich. Chicken cutlet, prosciutto, toasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella ball on a fresh roll. Simply delicious. Servers were polite, friendly and attentive. Had a great experience at Pazza on porter. This place has such a nice and modern atmosphere that we really enjoyed. Doesn't look like any other place in east Boston. The bartender recommended us a few drinks which we loved. We ate the pork chop vinegar peppers which was delicious! I highly recommend the espresso martini! They have that on tap! I've been here a couple times with my boyfriend and we really liked the atmosphere and food. Today I ordered takeout and they even asked for my name/number. They told me it would be ready in 30 mins. I got there in the time that they said the food would be ready. I got passed off by 2 different people so I thought that was weird. I told the guy my name and what I ordered. They said they didn't have that order and they would make it right away. They didn't even offer to add anything or comp anything. Such a shame because I really liked this place. Sunday Brunch service was poor. Parking was not advertised well and the other options in the area were terrible. Seated next to a huge party. Host asked what kind of water we wanted and we after we asked for coffee simply said "I'm not your server" and didn't relay the order or send over the actual server or actually bring any water. Server was clearly overloaded though two bartenders and two hostesses were basically standing around. Had to go ask for water and service at the bar. Coffee was basically diner coffee but took forever. Food was brought all at different times. The "eggs in purgatory" was just a single egg in tomato sauce so poor portion, took 20 minutes to serve. One plate was undercooked the other was overcooked. Pancakes were both burnt and raw and also unevenly sized. Benedetto was decent. The giant party next to us was for someone's 90th birthday. That's fine but they kept standing right next to our table, blocking service, bumping us, and using the booth next to us for photos. Happy for them but definitely an uncomfortable experience. The whole place was cold and we could hear others complaining about it as well. read more

After standing outside the pickup window for 30+ minutes, my order was finally fulfilled. Most expensive sub I've ever had.....$13!
