Floors were sticky & dirty. Everything just needs a good wipe down.

So, in-person, this place isn't great. We've ordered pickup & delivery from here & love their crust. But inside? Ew. Table tops are sticky. The tea is rancid. The TV was showing some bayou show where animals were being killed. The service is basically non existent. I ordered an 18 inch pizza for my kids and a personal pizza for me and got two 18 inch pizzas. We will stick with pickups from now on, but honestly not sure we will be back at all. There are much friendlier places that are clean and give you receipts when you order.

As a native New Yorker I love a good pizza. I've been going to this place for years since they've been open. The pizza slices are rather huge and they're very delicious. I just wish they put more sauce on the pizza. Today I ended up getting it through DoorDash and I got a large extra cheese pizza. I got it well done and it was. It's kind of hit or miss but it's definitely a place. I would check out if you like Pizza or other Italian type dishes. The bathroom could use an update.

Try this place! And if you didn't have a good experience before, give it another try! They have new dedicated management and have made so many improvements! Lots to choose from and you can get as creative as you want. You order countertop, there's a screen next to the register for you to place your order and pay. Or you can place your order at the counter if you want something more specific. All the sizes including the smallest are enough to feed several people. We would oooh and ahhh every time each thing came out. Honestly, our whole group felt like little kids again. When the biggest one came out, we all squealed with delight! The kids and all of us jumped out of our seats and we had to take a picture with the biggest pizza we've ever seen & eaten! They have the sizes on the wall and they are scaled to size. It's the actual size! Food comes out so timely and everything tastes so fresh. All toppings were fresh. They have the heavy old school plates and plastic cups from back in the day and the whole place has a very nostalgic feel with some cool fusion updates to the menu. They also serve Mexican food. We tried the steak and chicken nachos and they tasted light and clean. Nice amount veggies, meat, beans and cheese on light chips. Your kids will love having these. Everything is so easy to share as well. They come out on shareable trays. We ordered a few pizzas because our table wanted to try a few things. Everything tasted fresh and even though the slices are huge the thin crusts make it easy to eat. We helped ourselves to some to go boxes which they keep nearby and every one went home with some tasty leftovers. My nephews had a blast. ***We got a chance to speak to management and they mentioned they have a food truck and they can do special events. So I can imagine kids would love to see this at a Birthday party. Couples, this would be cute to have at a wedding reception or bridal party. Parents, why not get a food truck for your graduate and their friends? The management will take good care of you. So give them a call. They bring all the bottled drinks, ice cream and whatever items you want in the truck. They have so many items on their menu like salads, sandwiches, wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, pasta, calzones, cakes, and even Mexican. They may add some cool Asian and Indian toppings like chicken teriyaki and chicken tikka masala soon! Can't wait to come back. It's such a family friendly place. And I'm so happy the owners put a Halal sign out. The Mexican items are Halal too! As a Muslim kid who grew up in south, pepperoni and sausage were things I couldn't eat on pizza because they're usually made with pork. The owner knows the struggle so getting the mobster meat healed the little girl in me who had to sit out during pizza days at school. Thank you so much for making a halal pizza and Mexican place in Hoover. We look forward to coming back and making more memories here! If anything is wrong they will make it right! So give them a try!

So...I came here for the size of the pizza and the pizzazz around it...but I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. I wasn't expecting very impressed with how quickly it was cooked, the quality, and everything else.

These look nothing like the ones online!!! Totally disappointing.

The big slice from this place is always on point. Delicious!!! But, they gonna stop playing with me with these cheese bread sticks. These looking nothing like the pic shown online. I should really ask for a refund, which is what I think I will do!!! Don't order these!!!

Such a lovely spot! Have driven past Pazzo honestly my whole life and have never thought to try it. I was recommended by quite a few people to try it out and it really did exceed expectations! The new management is doing a fabulous job giving new life to Pazzo and delivering quality food. My friends both got the typical Pazzo big slice and loved them. I opted for the chicken salad which was genuinely up there in the chicken salads I've tried!! So happy to have another halal option in town and am excited to see what all the new management has planned. The owner himself came out to greet us and gave us all chocolate cake on the house :)

This was my first time trying Pazzo pizza I was very excited to try my first Halal pizza establishment, and it did not disappoint I ordered the pepperoni pizza 28 inch in which they only use beef pepperoni, which was just as much enjoyable. They do not sell pork which I love even more and the pizza was very enjoyable. I will definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful

Great people and even better pizza 10/10! Love their restaurant but love seeing their mobile food truck at different events.

This was our third time getting take out from Pazzo. We normally order calzones but tonight we wanted a pizza so I called in the order and she told me it would be ready in 20. We got the Sicilian with sausage, pepperoni, and spinach. I got home with the pizza and was thoroughly disappointed at how few toppings were on the pizza (there were whole slices without cheese) and how undercooked the dough was. As I was eating, I thought to myself "I don't even know how much this cost." I thought back and realized the only screen I saw on the machine was the tip screen (which I only tipped 15% since it was take out) and I remember the tip was around $8. I go check my bank account to find out that this pizza was SIXTY THREE DOLLARS! I'm literally in awe that I just paid that much money for this. It's not their fault that I didn't ask how much it was going to cost, but there was definitely a lack of transparency about the cost (didn't mention on the phone, at the register, or on the screen). I'm not sure how we got to $63-- that would mean that each topping was $5 which feels insane. Anyway, all of that to say... this place is extremely expensive for what you get. I would only recommend the calzones if you find yourself here. We will probably not go back.

Why eat pizza anywhere else when you can eat a piece of pizza bigger than your plate? You absolutely can't beat the novelty of these massive pizza slices, and they're tasty too! We ordered to-go, so I have not experienced the restaurant itself. However, this will definitely be a go-to for pizza when we want an experience!

Stopped at Pazzo Pizza Truck and grabbed this huge slice of pizza. There is honestly not much to complain about here I just kinda with the sausage crumbles had more flavor maybe better quality not sure if they make those in house or store bought already made but man was this pizza soooooo freaking good and hot! The cheese was perfect with a nice sweet flavor just how I like it, pepperoni was huge and delicious could really taste that smoky pork flavor, the cheese was so well cheesy with a light mild flavor and just amazing, and guys that crust it was a perfect golden brown it was a perfect New York foldable slice and that's what I did I folded that bad boy and destroyed it! Please go check them out and if you can't find their truck then go to their brick and mortar at Pazzo Big Slice! They get a 9.5/10 from me great pizza!

Went for lunch and both got the pizza slice lunch deal. Decided to add the cupcake, so we got a slice, drink, and a cupcake. Nice café feel, and we enjoyed being able to sit outside, too, with nice weather. Cute painting decorations on the windows. Great staff was super friendly and quick. Yes, the pizza is big, so that's a novelty. However, it kind of seems to be just because they made the crust pretty thin; I'd say it's no more dough, and I'm just as happy with the nearby club store pizza. Utensils didn't work so well. The pizza wasn't too hot, the forks just bent as you tried to cut the slice. Only used it long enough to be able to make it small enough to pick up by hand. Super pleased with the cupcakes. They were phenomenal! Great cake, and nice balance with the frosting. I would go back just for those!

This may be my first second review of a restaurant, if you follow along, feel free to correct me. Pazzos has great pizza, what I had not tried was the Calzone. Wow! Instead of a doughy, bland Calzone, which is what i was expecting, I got a crispy, flavorful mouth pleaser. If you look closer at the pics, there is a crust, which I enjoyed dipping in the marinara sauce. Next time I go back, I have a tough choice to make. Good news is, both choices are winners.

Detroit was light and thick with excellent frico edge. Sauce was slightly sweet with nice flavor. Cheese was melted nicely with slight caramelization. The Figgie had fig jam, prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula and a balsamic drizzle! It was out of this world! I use figs and prosciutto on my pizza at home but never seen in at a restaurant. I thought this was a really neat way to celebrate the city's history and highlight local cuisine. I decided to visit this restaurant because what is better than pizza? Something that can be saved and eaten for days. This restaurant definitely delivered wonderful food! I had the Margherita pizza, the appetizer meatball, and the beignets. The restaurant is located in a little shopping center in the heart of Cahaba Heights. It is a cozy bistro-style place. As usual, I got the food to go due to work. Unfortunately, I rarely get a chance to dine in and enjoy food at the establishment. So, I am very picky about to-go quality, and Troup's delivered. I had the margherita pizza, small 12-inch. It was still warm by the time I made it home. The mozzarella was fresh, and the perfect circle was cut and spread over each piece. The sauce was delicate and flavorful, tasting light and homemade as it should. I like a good amount of sauce, and it was very saucy. It was not overcooked in the slightest, with the cheese and basil still fresh and not burnt. The crust was more Neapolitan-style, softer toward the middle (it wasn't a true Neapolitan, though), but I like various styles of pizza, even hybrids, so I was happy. The spices used gave it great flavor. For a margherita pizza, it's definitely a thumbs up, and I would try it again. I also had their appetizer meatball, which was smothered in the same pizza sauce and fresh basil, and it was quite enjoyable. I am actually not a fan of meatballs unless they are cooked a certain way, usually a mix of meats and tender-ish, but I needed protein that day. Their meatball, I would say, qualifies as one I would eat again. It is a mix of ground pork, beef, and lamb. I am not a pork fan, but I could not taste much pork in this. I liked the beef and lamb, which gave it flavor, and it was cooked so that it was tender. Lastly, the meatball was huge in my opinion. I ate off of it for a few days (but probably most would finish it in 2 servings). Finally, I had their beignets. I tried one fresh before getting home, and it was delish! I honestly did not think they would hold well at home, and after I ate. I was pleasantly surprised. They were amazing, slightly warmed back up. Also, there were so many that I shared them with friends, who also very much enjoyed them. All in all, I would eat there again, even though it may be a bit pricey.
