Went to the one in Long Beach 524 E PCH and it was the worst $1,000 I ever spent I went to the front desk and since I'm young I wasn't taken seriously and he sold me some ridiculous prices to say the least and we made a deal that without the camera it would be $900 but when he did the whole transaction I saw when I got home he charged $1,000 instead of $900 but I let it slide. Then I noticed that he gave me speakers I did not want, So I basically paid full price without getting a backup camera that they said came with the package(which I complained about and got after and it's the cheapest low quality backup camera ever) and for something I didn't want . Honestly you're better off buying and doing it yourself cuz that's what imma have to do now. Btw I saw on the pch custom audio on Wilmington was selling the same speakers I wanted for $500 with amp and a small sub for when I was going to get charged for the same one for $1,300 would not recommend to my friends never coming back I wish I would get a refund fr BTW if I paid $1,000 do you really think my speakers should be distorting when it's not even at full volume. read more

Read the real reviews and don't waste your time or money. I had a stereo installed in my car and I wish I looked at Yelp first. Basically the new(?) recover they put in never had Apple play or android work dispute telling me it would. The trim around the receiver just falls off. Worst part is they didn't even unscrew trim parts and just tore it stating it's an older car so things won't go back like normal. Ok I get that but after checking nothing was stripped and screws came out with ease.it's going to cost me twice as much money than I "saved" to fix what they broke let alone get something that works as advertised. I'd highly recommend any other place than here. They did a great job on my Dodge Ram before but this time they did me dirty. Took my vehicle in for a simple stereo change. I asked if they can replace my stereo with an OEM stereo. Half way through I get a call saying the technician can't lock the trunk. I say oh yeah just move all my wife's crap to the middle of the trunk. "Oh no sir, I mean it won't latch. It doesn't stay closed. Was it messed up before you brought it in?" I say, "no. Never had any other electrícele issues. Just the stereo." Man on phone, "are you sure?" Me: "yes! Didn't have any until now!" Now my doors don't lock. They stay closed but don't lock. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My father and I went in to get a backup camera. They upsold me to a birdseye system that they said was a lot more expensive but better. When I came home I did research and found that this camera was old technology and was being sold at a deep discount. I called PCH Custom Audio immediately to cancel the sale and they refused saying that they had already ordered the camera. I resigned myself to this system since I believed I had no other option. When my father went back without me, they charged him an additional amount to fix his speakers since they said the cameras wouldn't work without this upgrade. Once installed, the camera system was hard to navigate so we went elsewhere to have the camera that I had originally wanted installed. The technician at the other business told us that they hadn't properly installed the system. Long story short, don't go to PCH Custom Audio unless you like to get ripped off for a product you don't want and is improperly installed. read more

Timothy the salesman is a complete scam artist and trying to work with him is the toughest thing I have ever done in my life. He tried scamming me out of $1100 and luckily I was able to stop payment. I have to say worst customer service ever. One of their workers was very disrespectful and rude. I went to put my amplifier and sound system to my truck that I purchased at this location. The gentlemen was so upset that he started throwing and slamming my amplifier and other things I took to be put in my truck. He was saying my stuff didn't work. When it did work. I told them that I didn't want him working on my truck after what he did and said to me. I returned to pick up my vehicle and the gentleman was giving me a weird face and laughing at me. Simple job and these guys can not do it properly. I asked to install my sound system into my 2018 Honda Civic and these guys drilled holes into my back seat and caught my hand rester and now it can't go down. I had to personally unscrew the amp that was drilled into my back seat and drill it into my subwoofer box which is what they should have originally done! Now I look at my back seat hand rester because it can now go down, and now my brand new interior has holes in the hand rester! This place is not recommended and I hope they reimburse me for those holes in my back seat. read more

Today I was just driving down 7th st in Long Beach when I started getting tailgated by a car with very distinctive blue headlights. The car then changes lanes to its left, speeds up to get next to me and begins to drift into my lane while they're right next to me. They then speed up and illegally change lanes mid-intersection to cut me off, nearly hitting me. I honk and pump my breaks so I don't get hit and then I see the large rear windshield logo: PCH Custom Audio. Here's some free business advice, stop driving in an unsafe, aggressive manner and represent your brand better. He knows what happened and heard his employees side, but he still made sure that he attentively listen to my side of the story. He offered to meet to the most convenient time and place/store for me. We met at his store and discussed he issue and solutions to the problem. He did everything reasonable to make sure that i leave happy. He only wants my business and referrals, nothing else. He left the option of updating my Yelp review to me. He just want to make sure that I am happy, and that there will be a chance I will go back to his stores for some car audio/stereo needs, and referrals if possible. Would I come back to his store for more business and refer my friends and family? DEFINITELY! I felt the assurance that the owner, and the whole PCH Custom Audio, will do their best to accommodate my needs and resolve any issue that might arise as long as I, the customer, is reasonable to what I am asking. The technicians are good that instill my system but they are over price stuff there. They sold me 300watt amp for my voice. Which sucks I had use an other store get a better amp I drove all the way from Anaheim thinking they were good place low prices but dam thought wrong. Wouldn't recommend going or I wouldn't go back anymore. Nice people. I am here waiting for my car and haven't seen the finish product yet, but they are helpful as far as answering my questions and I like to ask questions. I would recommend this place to people. Jason helped me and I am happy with the help. So I am am editing my review because I received the final product; my speakers and my amplifier. Yes everything came out good. Sounds great. Eddy installed everything and was so nice and patient. I am truly grateful. After going to work and talking to friends come to find out was a bit overcharged. So I looked at other options and yes could have been cheeper. One thing i learned do your homework and research before you decide, yet i see it like this; you get what you pay for............. I work hard for my money and come to think of it, yes it did hurt. Went there to get some rims left my car for the day had to work nights tell my wife to pick it up for me when she got up I go check my car they put rims that I did not even ask for.. put a woofer and sound system in my car did the worst job just threw the box in my trunk didn't ask if I wanted to test it out car was just parked to get the fuck out basically what it meant...2 hr job turned into a 1 week job sloppy work and wiring left my carpet on the trimmings of my door all hanging this place is the worst hands down I don't reccomend this place at all seems from the pics they only really cater and take really good care of people's cars that go in and spend thousands if you're there for a few hundred dollars of job you're gonna get done dirty and sloppy this is my experience.. tint is all fucked up and scratched they said it was lifetime they lied tried to blame me. read more

Dont know where to start, first i tried to not give them bad review because i know some people depend on there paychecks. But in this case i feel they deserved it. I have a 2017 honda accord, i responded to a facebook ad about installing tablet/ipad style in your car, since i am a rideshare driver i thought it would help me. When the Manager "Timothy" replied after giving him my car info he suggested to install a touch screen radio at first i didnt really wanted to because i didnt want to change alot of things in my car. I asked him a few questions to make sure i was doing the right thing. One of the questions i asked him if my current screen will be replaced (like reverse camera) he responded yes, all this was through messenger on facebook so its in writing. After a few back and fourth i decided to do it, he made an appointment for me to install it i asked him how long will it take to do this since i cant be losing to much time due to rideshare he answers 2 to 2.5hrs. I said ok i can deal with that. When i got there he had no installers, he had to call someone from his other store to come in to do the job. Took him about 1.5 hrs to even start on my car, total time installation was 5 hrs. The installer seem like a rookie looking through the car stereo manual multiple times to install it. At this point is where i realized the stereo was being installed underneath the current OEM car screen. I was already there i asked the manager if my camera will be working as normal which he replied that my camera screen wasnt going to be touch and would be working as normal. When the installer was finished, the reverse OEM screen was dark, distorted, did not explain anything how the stereo worked including 2 USB cables that where routed to my glove box. I found all this after i had left a few blocks heading home from this store. I come back and asked the manager the issues tries to convince me in the sun that the screen was fine. The stereo was $1300 which is the quote he had given me but since the steering wheel has controls to the OEM stereo and OEM screen and car settings he charged me another $100 to install a module for that. He installed it and more issues came up, the TPMS can no longer be reseted from the car due to this module, i lost a bunch of car settings and nothing was explained to me prior to the install of this module. He asked me to come back another day to fix the issues which i did 2 more until they installed 2 more after market cameras to simulate close to what i had on the OEM stereo. That solved about 90% of the camera problem because i have to do multiple changes to use the parking camera view. He then makes an appointment with his other store and installer for me to go. All he said go there at 10am and they will fix the issues. When i got there the so called installer seem bothered that he had to fix someone else issue and just said leave the car and will call u by end of the day that irritated the hell out of me. I told him i cant leave it all day i need to make money so he basically threw the keys at me and said ok like he didnt car. I went straight to the original shop and requested a full refund which obviously they denied. After arguing there for a while another installer from the other store showed up and started troubleshooting my issue he resolved more in 10min than these guys have on in 3 trips i done. He suggested a second camera and resolved a blinker flickering issue that this madule had caused. Still not all issues where not resolved so once again gave me another appointment for monday (today). This past friday i showed up to try to resolve the issue the said they couldnt cus they had other cars to install. I asked cant you just stop job and put my car in he said we cant do that but come monday (today) and we will fixed the rest of the issue. I showed up today, installed the second camera and during this installation the other manager Juan who i had argued last friday about not putting my car to fix it, he then asked me if he can stop my installation for 30 min so they can install install a camera on it i said no because i asked u the same thing on friday and you refused he said "ok" after he was done installing the second camera he takes out my car and puts the benz and says its done. When i get in my car, yes the camera installed but the TPMS light still on he basically didnt care of what i said he has his priorities where it benefits them. I got extremely upset and told him i was done i will cut my losses and never again will come back. Anyone thinking about going here you are warned. Even in writing they dont back it up. Went on recommendation from a kid at an auto parts place. We initially thought to ourselves the price was too high for a stereo and installation but we negotiated with him and agreed on a better price. We needed to get the stereo that day and he worked with us. The frame that was also stolen had my hazard button and harness taken out, I came back and he agreed to put the button and harness for free. I would have had to wait some hours before I got it fixed but he had his guy put some work on hold and I didn't have to wait. Oscar was professional and I would come back again.
