Rigatoni with salmon
Yvonne D.

Went for an early dinner during the weeknight and felt very rushed by the server. The place was empty what are you wishing us for? I had the vodka rigatoni with salmon and it was delicious. My friend really enjoyed the crab pasta (with added shrimp). We started with calamari and ribs. The calamari was good but the ribs could've been more tender. We got the strawberry mocktails and they were delicious.

My lunch, Montauk Whiting fish w/ Jumbo Shrimp along with fries and slaw.

3 down, one more to go. Had very good experiences with Peaches Hothouse & Lewis so I went up to Peaches Grand as my third venture to the Peaches establishment and it certainly lived up to the high bar as the previous 2 restaurants. Was automatically greeted by a waitress as I came into the place and took a seat at the dining area further from the bar since that area was fairly crowded. Place felt very warm which certainly was needed after coming out to the cold to check this place out. Made myself comfortable as I was waiting for my food to come around which I'd have to admit, was a bit on the long side but I had nothing else better to do so I just took it easy. My food arrived I'd say a little after 15 minutes after I ordered but it was worth the wait. I ordered the Montauk Whiting Fish w/ Fries and additional Jumbo Shrimp and it was plated so beautifully which I would assume is a theme of sorts for this restaurant and I fully endorse it. There was no misses with my meal, only hits from the tenderness and size of the Shrimp, the nice crisp batter of the fish without it being mostly flaky with little meat and the fries were prepared pretty perfect as well. It also came with tartar sauce which complimented the seafood very well. Another solid meal from a solid establishment. The waitress came around a few times to see how I was enjoying the food, responding with a thumbs up and enjoying my meal. All that's left is Prime, which I'll go on a warmer day if there's such a day during Winter.

On a recent visit to BK, I stopped in for brunch. This quaint spot boasts everything from brunch to seafood boils. While here I noshed on: Shrimp app- nicely sized, perfectly cooked shrimp. Coating was crispy but, it lacked in seasoning. Chicken & toast- 2 piece chicken with about 2 piece of French toast. Coating was crisp on both. Chicken was juicy. They have you a choice of white or dark meat. I could've did a third half piece of French toast but, other than that; dish was good. Mimosa- nice and boozy. I had pineapple juice with mine. I noticed that they didn't have bottomless. Bummer. Service was pretty attentive and food came out fast. I'd definitely stopped back in for dinner. SYOY!

Came here with my wife to celebrate securing our new apartment! The first thing we noticed is how much quieter it was than the other Peaches locations. There was a louder section in the front of the restaurant, but we were seated towards the back. We both loved the simple aesthetic. Her cocktail was The Grand, I ordered the white from New Zealand - which trust me will RARELY disappoint! They both delivered. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer. We agreed it was the best grilled octopus we'd had since our Barbados honeymoon set the standard! That alone made it worth the visit! I ordered the Brisket Sandwich with bacon potato salad, she the Blue Crab pasta. Both were delicious and fresh. The pickles on the sandwich were a nice acidic counterpoint to the sweetness of the barbecue sauce. The brisket was tender and had a good smokey flavor. The pasta was briny yet balanced! We both left little behind. This could just be our personal preference, but neither one of us enjoys ice cold potato salad, preferring it be room temperature. The bacon potato salad though flavorful, was straight out of the fridge, which gave the potatoes an unpleasant texture that we didn't enjoy. And who wants congealed bacon pieces in their salad? We enjoyed them much more as warmed leftovers the next day. Overall, a much chiller version of the Peaches chain, and easily our new favorite! Will be back!

I came here for dinner after coming back from christmas vacation with my sister. We did have to wait about an hour because we arrived just as brunch was done and we were going to wait for dinner. We were able to get seated and go over the menu which was great as I hadn't had a chance to go over it and it was my first time at this location. For an appetizer we ordered The Lewis which was a spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips. It was nice and hot. For our drinks I ordered a False Alarm which had Dusse, Mango Puree and Lemon. It was sooooooooo good and had an amazing balance which brought out the nice smooth flavor of the Dusse. My sister ordered a Paloma which she is more into sweeter, juicier cocktails. For dinner, my sister ordered the Pan Seared Salmon and I got the Shrimp and Grits which is always nice, yummy, creamy and hearty. I has a taste of her salmon which was too good as well. I was way too full for dessert which I definitely would've gotten but I was already indulging too much this season lol

Visiting Brooklyn as often as I do, I decided to explore the local restaurants. I found Peaches Grand which is located near the place I visited. I came in and was greeted br Broderick. He was kind enough to ask my preference of dining arrangement. I chose the bar because I can sit high. The ambiance has a soft romantic touch with smooth jazz playing at the right volume. This restaurant is suitable for after church as the attire is dress or casual. The dim light gives a touch of elegance as well. I ordered fried shrimp for starters. The presentation was perfect. Big, juicy, and the right textures. Serves with tartar sauce and hot sauce, it has a full flavor of a southern dish. My main dish was salmon with scrambled eggs. The presentation was also perfect. Softly scrambled with chucks of salmon, greens on the side and toast. It was properly portioned and very good. I come back for another delicious dish!

The atmosphere is that of a quant cafe or bistro in Europe. I caught the last of their brunch menu and I was pleasantly surprised. I must come out to try the dinner menu. Yasin our server/ bartender was pleasant and made a fine drink. The Steak and eggs were good but the grits with parmesan cheese was the star of the show. My first visit was a thumbs up. I will update everyone on my next visit.

This spot is extremely trendy. It is huge and has a great atmosphere. Drinks are good especially the punch. The food was delicious especially the grits and mac. We had a minor hiccup with the service but that was immediately addressed and rectified. We were even given a discount for it without even asking. We would definitely return. I love the vibes.

Nice lay out. Great big bar , it wraps all the way around. They serve handcrafted cocktails. I came mid day on a Friday. Quick service sat at the bar. The staff is very friendly. I ordered the whiting it comes with fries and homemade tartar sauce. For an up charge of $10 I added fried shrimp it was about 6 nice pieces. My brother had the wings and fries. They are decent size wings. Not overly big. The food temperature was perfect the food just need a little flick of salt. Overall I enjoyed my time there.

Peaches Grand has some solid southern food and great cocktails in my honest opinion. For cocktails, the Brownstone Punch is strong and super tasty. My friend and I shared the shrimps app as well as the extra fancy fried chicken. The chicken was definitely the better of the two, but the shrimp was good as well. All in all, I would return back.

Burned Mac and cheese (flavorless) not even worth eating

The menu &!or chef has changed but the servers are definitely different & on it with the customer service- had the kale chaser salad + shrimp...it was ok .. the fried green tomatoes- great!! We had a server in training ...she was trying this is not an easy spot but, I will come back (as usual).

Went for happy hour and their end of month beer event featuring brown girl brew. I was very impressed by their selections and price points. I ordered the glazed spareribs for $9 and a cava for $7. The portion of the ribs were huge. Happy to see good food under $10! My total order was $17.42. Have to visit again to try some additional items.

Kale salad with garlic shrimp. Awesome.

Peaches Grand is another restaurant that I can't believe I never reviewed. I grew up in this neighborhood and Peaches was a wonderful addition when it opened a few years ago. It's a good looking place. It's set inside of a beautiful antique building that I'm sure, once upon a time, was someone's lovely home. My fave dishes are the blue crab spaghetti and the crispy fish sandwich with shoestring fries. The fish is so crispy and the bun is so soft. The fries are perfect. I sometimes wake up thinking about it because it's so delicious. There's a small bar counter to sit at if you feel like having a tasty cocktail or three. Not sure if there's a Happy Hour but weekend brunch at Peaches Grand is really good.

It made such a strong impression on my friend that she demanded we eat at this restaurant. The restaurant was packed, but we managed to get a spot at the bar and watch the Mets game. The food was immaculate, and we ordered the Hot Crab Dip, Garlic Biscuits, and I ordered "The Connecticut." On this 250th birthday of America (4th of July and 97 degrees), I was in the mood for a Lobster Roll. I realize my first review mentioned the appearance of their Lobster rolls were underwhelming. They still are . Having tried it today, I'll narrow it down: Delicious? Yes. Fresh? Yes. Overpriced? Yes. Small Roll portion? Yes. Our server was courteous and attentive and my Narraganset Beer hit all the right notes to accompany my Lobster Roll. Ice cold and light. We chose the Connecticut style Lobster roll which was prepared warm and poached in butter (no mayo). The menu offered four Lobster Roll styles. I splurged by selecting fries to accompany my Roll because who wants a salad when it's a holiday? There were two prices per each roll. For Connecticut, it was either $41 or $51 with the latter including a more pile high serving of lobster: however, we were informed the smallish bun will remain the same. The best Lobster Roll I ever had still holds its title from North Fork, Long Island at one of the vineyards. RHLB Roll was very good. Chunky pieces of warm Lobster, not too buttery and accompanied by crispy French Fries. Overall, a very good holiday lunch. I just wish the bun length size were larger. It should be for the prices they charge.

The menu also says it comes with house special dessert but we never gotten any. For any seafood, it's market price plus they add a 30% processing fee, which is strange to me. For a Chinese restaurant which usually does not charge tax if you pay with cash, they charge tax here whether you pay by card or cash. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious. Every dish was incredibly unique, featuring exquisite flavors that truly "dance" on the palate. Squid (5/5): Cooked to absolute perfection, it was bouncy, chewy, and paired with a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Steaklette (4.75/5): A fantastic dish. The sauce was once again the highlight, and it paired perfectly with the potatoes. My partner found it a bit salty, but for me, the seasoning was just right While they are currently Michelin Recommended, I truly believe they deserve a Star. I told our server this when she asked if it was our first time dining here and she found it similarly puzzling. That said, this sentiment is one rarely expressed these days, as Saint Julivert's longevity puts it in what I'd imagine to be an exclusive, highly coveted class of restaurants that have stood the test of time in the face of changing trends, the pandemic, rent, etc. And perhaps more importantly, it has stood the test of time *and* maintained its high level of execution and quality. Saint Julivert is a neighborhood spot as memorable as it is unassuming. We came here at around 7:30pm on a Saturday night. I live quite far from Saint Julivert which is the main reason I hadn't gotten here before this past weekend. Luckily, a friend who recently moved to the area was having a party, describing the offered fare as "drinks and light bites" -- code for "not sufficient for dinner" and an opportunity to find a fun restaurant nearby to try beforehand. Walking up to Saint Julivert was a bit of a thrill for me -- both because of how long it's been on my radar and also because it's nestled on a block that otherwise seems completely residential. The space itself is much smaller than I imagined, very cozy, friendly, and down to earth. We had, in my opinion, one of the best seats in the house, which was a pair of high tops by the kitchen with loads of space for folks (read: us) who like to order a bunch of smaller plates to share. To start, we got a round of cocktails. I had to go with the Kanpai Martini (vodka, gin, shochu, cap corse, guindilla), as I pretty much always start with the martini if one is featured on the cocktail menu, and my partner got the Puerto Escondido (mezcal, beet, grapefruit, jalapeño) which is a super tasty spicy mezcal marg variation. I then tried the Diamond District (mezcal, persimmon liqueur, cocchi americano) which is a variation of one of my other go-to drinks, a white mezcal negroni. No complaints here. Food-wise, we obviously leaned into the seafood here heavily. Tried to sample as much variety as possible and I'd say we did a pretty impressive job. We weren't able to finish everything but we tried our very best. Truly everything was exceptional so my usual letter grades aren't all that necessary because it was As across the board. Eats, below: Amberjack w/ tomato water, crispy shallot, shiso oil Ideal first dish, definitely had some amuse bouche qualities, being both light and bright. The fish was incredibly fresh and the concept overall with sophisticated with use of texture and flavor that was impressive in its subtlety and execution. Chicory Salad w/ blue cheese, walnut, persimmon, coffee cider vinaigrette Our one veggie of the night and it was well worth our while, fresh winter greens with that tried and true blue cheese/walnut combo made unique by the coffee cider vinaigrette which emphasized the sweet and earthy notes of the dish and brought everything together beauitfully. Wild Shrimp w/ salted kumquat, poblano pepper, pomelo If I had to give an award to most unique of the night, it would have to go to this dish. I've had a dizzying amount of seafood over the years and I've been lucky enough try to a lot of different types of things in a lot of different types of ways and this one stands out. Something about the flavor and texture of the mostly-raw shrimp with the delicate and aromatic citrus elements. Just impossibly fresh, bright, and delicious. Octopus w/ pipián verde, roasted tomatillo juice, cucumber, serrano A preparation I'm used to seeing served warm but I enjoyed it cold just the same. The overall flavor profile was predictable but the elements contributing to it were less so. The green mole was delicious and overall this dish was a perfect bridge between the lighter and the richer, a segue so perfect it was as if it was divinely ordained. Squid a la Plancha w/ pine nut, maitake mushroom, tinta, poblano The first of two warm dishes we ordered. A nice complement to some of the lighter dishes we had earlier in the meal that were more aromatic/vegetal/gardenia vibes, this dish was earthier, more umami and grounding. Jerked Hamachi Collar w/ mango-pickle mayo, lime Hard to finish with this because it was probably the richest of the dishes and we were already somewhat full by this point, but I ate as much as I could because it was just that good. The mango-pickle mayo was just sublime, the fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifully -- altogether a playful and powerful way to end the meal.

It was the $252.86 plus a TIP of $45.20! I immediately returned to discuss the discrepancies. The tip that was supposed to be $38 was now $45.20! The waitress then said she would credit my account. My question was how did this happen! All three waitresses stated it was not them and that the machine did this! How was this possible? Not one of them took responsibility for the discrepancies! Had I not looked at my bank statement then I would never have known that I would be tipping her twice! I then decided to leave to explain to my mom! Had she given me the REAL receipt with the $45 TIP then I would have given her $50 CASH but since she only produced the REAL receipt after I came back (how ironic) and told her she charged the wrong amount, she would have received $100 TIP. The catfish sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and had a great sauce. The catfish basket, on the other hand, was lacking a bit in flavor. The mac and cheese was good, but nothing that stood out. The oysters were fresh and enjoyable. The restaurant does provide high chairs, which was appreciated, but there are no changing tables in the bathroom, so it's not the most family-friendly option for parents with young children. The staff was wonderful -- very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Overall, it was a nice experience with great service and a lovely atmosphere.

We were able to get a reservation here for 530 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. I…read morereally liked the layout with the green tables and booths. The long mirrors on the walls made the space feel bigger and taller as well. First and foremost, I'm giving this place a 5 for the service as they really went above and beyond. It was not the occasional stop by to refill water and grab dirty plates. Our waiter provided great recommendations and offered me a small sample of a wine I had heard him recommend to another table after I had already ordered my orange wine. In terms of food, the bluefin tuna special was very fresh. We enjoyed the hush puppies and the swordfish belly. The fry basket had thin rectangularly shaped fries which were amazing. The only thing is I wish it came with more than two pieces of shrimp and two pieces of fish. The chargrilled oysters were also very good. Lastly they offered free bread pudding which was a perfect way to end the night.
