Needed some bike accessories including a rear view mirror. While riding, I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to find a perfect handle bar attached mirror for $20. Good deal and works great. They even installed it for me. I took a spin around the parking lot, adjusted and set the mirror and they tightened it down. While there, I walked through the shop and was pleasantly surprised by their inventory. Great bikes and quality accessories. I need to go back and buy some more quality bike stuff - new helmet, lock and maybe upgrade my seat. Conveniently located in the heart of Sandy Springs on the SS Circle. Great customer service and really nice shop. We really have some great businesses in Sandy Springs and this is one of the better ones. read more

Daniel and Tyler have been tremendously helpful when it came to some issues with regards to my new road bike. They are truly two of the nicest and most helpful people I know! I wouldn't take my bike to any other shop. They are extremely knowledgeable and understanding. Tammy, the manager, is also a gem! Eddie O'Dea did my bike fitting and made the necessary adjustments I needed in order to make my rides more comfortable and enjoyable. I ordered 4 tires online and paid for them with my credit card. Since the store is 40 minutes away, I called to make sure the order was ready for pick up. I was assured that the tires were ready to be picked up. When I came to pick them up, I was informed that my order was cancelled by the store clerk without my authorization. Then they told me that I can get one tire out of 4 tires that were paid for. For the other 3 tires, I would have to pay for the difference between the higher store price and the online price. Then they told me that I woud have to come back later for the one tire that I was told I could have. Thanks a lot for baiting, switching, and jerking me around. I'm so happy I went to this FreeFlite location in Sandy Springs! The entire staff is super knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. They listen to what you're looking for, and it feels like they care to help you find the bike that's right for you, so they're not pushy to just sell you anything. I was in Atlanta this week for a short vacation from South Florida. A friend suggested I visit Free-Flite before other stores and I was not disappointed. I called before I went over as another store told me it would be a week before they would be able to look at my bike. Tyler answered the phone and was beyond friendly. Told me to come over ASAP and they will bump me up to do the quick tire swap. 1- I came in to swap out some tires and upon going to the service area was moved up to the front over major repairs. While waiting for my bike, I met Tyler and Clay. I know that Southern Hospitality is a thing but they really have it down. They literally knew every frequent customer by name. Clay is also an expert on cycling nutrition and the latest tech for upgrades. His knowledge and passion came through without being pushy or salesy at all. 2- I was also able to get squeezed in to do a seat adjustment. Not only was he knowledgable but he figured out and fixed what my original setup ( better seat and shorter stem) should have been when I bought the bike from another dealer in South Florida. This was already after the bottom of my cycling shoes tore off the day before when we were trying to get everything adjusted. I did go elsewhere for shoes ( I prefer Tri shoes for comfort) but he handled the mishap like a champ and we rescheduled for the next day. 3- I had an issue with my ANT Duotrap cycling computer and they all were trying to figure out why it wasn't working by going on the Trek website and going through Youtube videos. Although I ended up calling Trek on my own time and getting an answer, when I came back the next day for the seat fitting, they were all excited to know that the Bontrager Wireless Duotrap only worked on Wahoo and no longer on Map My Ride or Strava. 4- I ended up back at the store one more time before I left to upgrade to the Wireless Duotrap since I was heading home and they had the part there. I decided I would rather support a store who had such positive customer service then a local store back in South Florida that felt like I was a nuisance last time I was there. I have not spent much money upgrading components on my bike but I would have no hesitation ordering from them and having it shipped to South Florida in the future. If you live in the North Atlanta/ Sandy Springs area, this is the bike shop to go to! read more

First and last experience... Came in for a derailleur adjustment as a new customer. Was "helped"by Igor in the service dept. Igor was extremely arrogant and pompous. I brought in my Schwinn bike (it's my starter bike...) for a quick adjustment and apparently he's too good to service anything less than an a few thousand dollars. I tried to explain what issue I was having and he basically brushed me off saying he checked everything and he knows what he's doing. He then said he can only do so much for a "bike like this" and laughed at the fact that my derailleur was plastic and "it's the best he can do." It was a very off-putting experience. I just started riding and wanted to put some mileage on this bike before upgrading... Igor was not pleasant to work with and while I may not have pulled up with the "Rolls Royce" of bikes... If treated with respect and good customer service, I would have returned and purchased a new Trek next time. Don't judge a book by its cover, man. Terrible experience. It's employees like this that can really ruin your business. Sad. read more

Due to this whole COVID-19 mess, I was having some trouble finding a bike for by 11 year old son. I called around to a bunch of places and no one had what I was looking for in stock. I called Free-Flite last night just before they closed and they had the bike I was looking for in both of the sizes I was considering. I told them that I would be there when they opened this morning (10:00 a.m.) and, even though they had neither bike actually built last night, they were both built and ready for my son to try out when I got there this morning. Matt, Clay, and Igor couldn't have been better in terms of customer service and expert knowledge, which was a big help for a casual cyclist like me. I'll definitely be going back to see these guys for my next purchase. read more

Matt, one of the staff there gave me the best costumer service I've ever had at a bike shop. Below is the recap of my first (and will be only) group ride attempt with Free-Flite Bicycles out of Sandy Springs. Wednesday ride supposed to roll at 6:30pm... 6:00pm: Arrive at store. Just moved to area and didn't take as long as I expected to bike over 6:15pm: Start to see 3-4 other rides pulling into the parking lot and getting their gear together. This is all our first time riding with this group. 6:30pm: We are all looking around waiting for the organizer/ride leader to arrive 6:37pm: We go inside to check on the ride. Shop confirms the ride is on and say Paul picked up his bike an hour ago..should be here by now 6:45pm: Some other guy with a Free-Flite kit pulls in from finishing a ride going on about how he hasn't let the rides in a while and the new ride leaders must have just left early because they didn't feel like waiting. Analysis: This place has to be a joke. So many bike shops/group rides in the area, and they can't even show up for a group ride THEY organized. If they're that lazy about riding I wonder how many shortcuts they take on repairs too. My advice, find another shop with better reviews. There are a bunch in this areas so not even too much of an inconvenience for use riders.. read more

Since I bought my Domane 6 at this store and have been periodically attending their group rides, I thought they might provide decent service when there was some cosmetic damage to the downtube of my frame. Unfortunately, the experience has left me disillusioned. I took my bike in on August 1st, and they told me they would get me a quote within a few days. Since then, I've phoned them three times and been told that Greg would call me back. I've also gone in to the store and been told that Greg would call me back. It's now August 21st, and I've heard nothing from Greg. The fact that Greg was present and did not help me when I went in to the store only adds to my aggravation. Fortunately, I know a different Trek retailer in Roswell off of Holcomb Bridge that has always been very responsive and customer friendly. They got me a quote within a few days and took care of everything. They even informed me upfront of additional costs that the mechanic at Free Flite neglected to mention. I guess I'll be taking my business to Cycle Works from now on. read more
