We needed a new roof so I did a Google web search and found 3 companies which I contacted and had come out discuss the job and provide an estimate to install a new roof. We went with PEAK Custom Remodeling for a number of reasons; two of which were - they were priced in the middle of the 3 estimates and their man who came out (Pete) was the only one, of the three, who after looking around up in our attic not only told us, but showed us (from photos taken in the attic with his smartphone), of potential damage we had with the existing plywood and some possible leaks. To back up a bit, the original gentleman scheduled to come out for the initial visit was late and we were wondering what happened to him when I got a phone call from the owner (Dave) who told me he had been involved in a car accident (glad to find out later he was not hurt) on his way to our house. Dave apologized for the inconvenience this caused and asked if we were still interested he could have another gentleman to our house shortly. I said of course, and it was Pete who showed up and explained that he would be our Sales/Project Manager throughout the job and that he would also be responsible for everything and that he and I would do the final inspection/walk-around when the job was completed before asserting in fact it was complete to our approval. Pete did a complete walk-around, in part to determine the square footage the job would require and, after listening to what we planned on having done, proceeded to give us a complete rundown on the different features of the many kinds of available roofing materials/styles. Needless to say, Pete was extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional; in addition, his meticulous attention to detail made all the difference in the world which in-turn made us feel confident and comfortable about choosing PEAK to do the job. He spent a lot of time answering our many questions as well as explain the many differences and features of, and about, the details and installation of a new roof, which we did not think about, and also discuss other various options with us and made sure we had the best information available to make our final decision. Pete came back for a second visit because we thought we may want to make some changes to the shingle type we initially selected. Ultimately we decided to stick with our initial choice, also during the second meeting we selected the color of the shingles we wanted. We set up a date for the shingles to be delivered (placed on the top of the roof) and the next day the first worker showed up at 6:30AM sharp and began working. With the addition of two other roofers they worked the entire day and came back the next day finishing up around Noon - both days in hot, sunny 90 degree temperatures. All three roofers were pleasant, personable and professional and you can tell from the finished product they are highly experienced. Prior to leaving they did a magnetic sweep for any loose nails and staples and cleaned up the yard around the house, leaving two piles of materials which were picked up later in the afternoon of the second day. The next day, Pete came out and we did a final walk-around at which time I affirmed that we were satisfied with the completed job. The roofers did a FANTASTIC and SUPERB job and the new roof looks FANTASTIC and we are extremely happy. I have already had several neighbors tell me how great the new roof looks and ask who did the work - I point to the PEAK sign still up in my lawn. I had the absolute pleasure of working with the most knowledgeable project manager in the industry who happens to work for the most amazing, professional remodeling company in all of Maryland. Peak is a truly amazing company to work with. At the end of May my roof started leaking. I wasted a lot of time meeting with contractors who had no real knowledge of the industry. I am a single middle aged woman and most of these guys made me feel uncomfortable almost as if they were trying to take advantage of that and my lack of knowledge of the industry. After 3 terrible experiences with other local companies which I will not mention I was blessed when a gentleman named Vito came over and explained to me the huge separation of the home improvement industry, in turn explaining why there is such variance in pricing. Let me say, I learned the hard way! And Vito was absolutely correct, everyone had completely different quotes and the frustrating part was that no one took the time to explain why. Don't get me wrong everyone had a "sales pitch" but PEAK and their knowledgeable project manager had not only educated me but also followed through with everything they had promised. I truly feel, had Vito been the first one out I wouldn't even waste any additional time meeting with anyone else. The information presented was technical and informative. As for Vito his amazing personality had me feeling comfortable as well as happy from start to finish. Within 2 weeks Jon the owner contacted me to schedule my installation. The crew of men arrived promptly and worked nonstop. The job was completed in one day and it looks absolutely beautiful. I cannot say enough about the craftsmanship (no wonder they provide a 50 year warranty on labor) when the work is done to this standard, it's just pride that allows one to stand behind their work for the life and quality of the product. I know that I will continue to recommend this company to all of my friends and family. As soon as I can get my windows done I will be contacting Vito again!. First let me start by saying I am one of "those" people who research everything. It doesn't matter who it is or what it is I want all the info, reviews, pricing etc... before I commit and buy. It took us a long time before we could get our roof done and we were well overdue for a new one. I started looking at Angie's List, Yelp, Google any site I could for roofers with very good reviews. I spent days doing this. Each place I looked Peak Custom Remodeling Corporation kept coming up on the list, so I took the chance and called them. The same day I called they sent Craig out to our house within a couple hours to meet us. Our first impression was this is one happy guy!! From the beginning to the end of our estimate Craig was friendly, extremely helpful in answering ALL of my question and funny. We felt very very comfortable talking to him. Craig described all the materials they use, step by step installation and the whole process to us in full detail. We decided right then to go with Peak. He told us it would be about 3 weeks to start and about 3 days to finish. Within one week we got a call to set up a day and they were ready to start. I was so excited I couldn't wait. The big day came and the crew arrived exactly on time and immediately started working. By the end of the day the roof was complete and looked beautiful! I want to say this especially, the crew that came out were so professional and organized my yard, sidewalk and steps were cleaner after they finished than before. The cleanup was amazing you couldn't even tell we just had a roof put on. After they were finished we got a call to set up for the soffit, fascia and gutters. Once again, right on time and everything looks amazing. I was so nervous spending a large amount of money and having problems but this could not have went any smoother. When the job was all finished Craig came out to do a walk through and make sure everything was perfect for us. Dave the owner also called to thank us for using them and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Our next project is to replace all our doors and we intend on using Peak without any doubts!! Peak replaced the windows and doors on my home and it turned out great. Here is how my experience went..I first heard about them from a young gentlemen named Conner going door to door passing out flyers and telling me about their jobsite nearby. I'm always a little skeptical about people coming door to door but the guy was very nice and professional so I decided to go ahead with the estimate. As someone who never makes any decisions without doing research I checked out the jobsite he had told me about and the quality of he work looked very good then I looked Peak up online and read their reviews which were also very good. I received a reminder call the day before the appointment from a nice lady (Adrienne I think was her name). The next day, the day of the appointment, I received a call from the owner Dave a few hours before the appointment to confirm a few things and let me know the name of the person coming out for the estimate. The estimator Vito arrived within a few minutes of the appointment time. He was professional and very friendly and took the time to really go into detail about our project. We went through available products, features, pricing, etc. Vito took the time to answer all my questions and was very patient and knowledgable. I liked the windows and doors which seemed to be of a high quality and came with a great warranty and I was comfortable with Vito and Peak so I decided to move forward and contract for the project. I received a call 2 days later from a woman named Michelle to schedule the measure tech to come out and take all the necessary measurements. After a few weeks Michelle called again to tell me the materials had arrived from the manufacturer and to schedule the install. The installers showed up on time wearing Peak vests, were very thorough and skilled (from what I can tell) and completed the project in a day. The finished product looks great and overall the whole experience was a very positive one and I would definitely recommend Peak. read more

Jon and his team were absolutely fantastic, they helped me through every step of a very unique roofing situation. I actually think he said "I've only seen one other roof like this in my whole career." We first thought it was going to be a simple storm damage repair, then partial replacement after the adjuster noticed there were already two layers of shingles on one section. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: it turned into replacing my entire roof - during the tear off they found not one, not two, but FIVE LAYERS of roofing material - three layers of shingles, a metal roof, and the original cedar roof from the 1880's. What was supposed to be a simple 1-2 day job turned into 4, and a lot more work. Peak kept me updated with progress photos (attached) and reassuring me they'd work with the insurance to make sure they covered what they found during the work. After submitting my first home owner's insurance claim for a roof repair / replacement I initially got an estimate from another contractor that was FAR over what the insurance paid out. Then I called Peak Custom who met with a re-adjuster, and continued to work with them as the scope of work changed drastically, and got the insurance to give me a supplement that would cover both the roof and interior repairs. The other contractor wasn't wrong about the scope of work or cost ... but Peak Custom saved me both money and headache in navigating insurance. As a first time homeowner who purchased via FHA a little over a year ago, I've been struggling with all the surprises that come from an undisclosed total loss fire in 2014 and all the work done by family according to the neighbors. I bought my house in early 2016, and it needed a new roof immediately, but after just buying a house, I didn't have enough extra cash to buy a roof. So I crossed my fingers and thankfully made it through the end of 2016's winter and all of 2017's winter. I had had several estimates for a new roof from other companies, and all the salesmen were completely unhelpful and were totally pressuring me to buy. My Peak experience began when a very highly motivated student stopped by to give me a brochure and to discuss the possibility of using PEAK to replace my roof. I read the brochure and thought it was very well designed with all the necessary information that a future customer would want to know. His sincerity and enthusiasm for this company was impressive. I saved the brochure for a future need. A couple years later when I was researching roofing companies, I again reviewed the brochure and called for an initial appointment. The salesperson arrived promptly with all the information and samples of the products that Peak was offering. After a couple hours of very good information, I decided to go with this company. The next person called me to set an appointment and explain exactly what to expect for my first adventure with replacing a roof! The platform with the supplies and the shingles on the roof came on time and were placed appropriately. The next day the highly trained crews began their work and for two days my new roof was emerging. It was completed on time. The cleaning crews need to receive special accolades for keeping my yard and landscaping in good condition. I did have several questions at the end and needed a follow-up to "tweak the peak!" I had my roof replaced by Peak Custom Remodeling in December of 2020, and they did an outstanding job. The salesman who came to my home initially was knowledgeable and professional. He explained the exact benefits of the product he was selling and of using their company without applying any pressure. The roofers themselves were efficient and professional. They showed up early and had my roof completed within about a half day. I had asked ahead of time that the company tell their roofers to please be extra careful about picking up degree such as nails. I am blind, and I would have trouble seeing that kind of thing. I was told they would make an extra pass. They did an outstanding job on that too; I haven't found a single nail or other debree in my yard. Finally, the manager who called to enquire whether I was happy with the work was friendly and interested in whether I was completely satisfied, as was the gentlemen who came out to do the final inspection of the work. IN addition to doing a good job on the work itself, this company went the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied as a customer. They did the extra cleanup pass as I mentioned. They also did several other little things that, while not strictly required, made a big difference to me as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. I was extremely pleased with my new roof and gutters put in by Peak Custom Remodeling. From beginning to end, the job was very professional, thorough and beautiful. I also appreciate that appointments were always kept and construction was done in a timely manner. The sales associate, Ben, spent a good deal of time explaining everything to me concerning my choices. The job manager, Jason, along with Ben, kept me informed on the progress and also solutions to problems that arose. There are a lot of quirks with an old house like mine so it didn't surprise me that there were some hidden issues. Jason showed me the problems, which I had suspected were there for a while, and made sure that the solutions were appropriate and corrective. Basically, the top half of my house was brought up to code and Peak actually gave it extra fortification without additional cost. Also, the crews were exceptional. Their work showed true craftsman level. They spent additional time making sure the tiles and the gutters were absolutely placed correctly. At the end of every day the site was cleaned up. Even while they were working, one of the crew saw that I had a dog and, without even asking, cleared a path from my door to the yard so I could take my dog out. That is courtesy! After much research I contacted Peak Custom Remodeling for a consultation and estimate for our roof. I found Howard to be very knowledgeable and professional, Howard was easy to talk to and very clear as to what our roofing options were. We had two other companies out for consultations on the roof due to the roof being a double layer roof, none of them took the time to explain like Howard did. The roof was not leaking, but over the years I saw many asphalt shingles on the ground and in the grass. The couple we bought the house from chose to add another layer on the original roof instead of replacing it (A lot cheaper). One evening (8:30 PM) I was at work and had some questions about the job and the timeframe, the owner Jonathan contacted me (In minutes) and answered all my questions and concerns. I decided to begin updating my town house. After putting all my projects down on paper I decided to put in a new sliding glass door with the blinds inside. From the Sales Rep to the installers all aspects of this project have been very professional. The Sales Rep found exactly the door I wanted and provided me the details of the project. When the installer cam with the door I knew that bringing it through the house was impossible. Both Josue and Kevin assured me there was no problem. They pulled out their ladders and brought the door up to the second level deck. The installation was masterful. Even my husband "the supervisor" watched with awe. I just bought an As-Is home in Bowie, MD. The property needs some work but the 1st thing I wanted to do was my roof. It was end-of-life, had moss, fading, and winter was coming (John Snow). The Peak Remodeling team was in the neighborhood and I was paired with Craig as my Project Manager. Craig met me on-time, and was thorough in his explanation without seeming like home improvement blow-hard. The product could self itself but you always need someone to close the deal. Craig is that closer. I met with 4 other remodeling companies offering to repair/replace my roof for less or the same. However, the product seemed like builder grade, the other supplemental components were basic and the price for product/service made me uneasy. I had none of that with Peak Custom. Our front door was old, leaking, and needed to be replaced. We received several quotes for a new door, but weren't overly impressed by any of the offers. We ended up speaking with Tony from Peak, who spent a great bit of time at the end of his day to walk us through the door options they had to offer. He was clearly an expert in their products and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We felt we were in good hands and ultimately ordered a new ProVia entry door and installation. The installation was prompt and professional, with the crew taking the time to explain the work being done. Once the old door was out, they made sure to clean up and replace all the damaged areas from the leak. When they were done, the new door looked great and they left without any sings that the crew had even been there. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Peak for other jobs in the future. read more

Peak Custom Remodeling replaced the old shingles on my roof with new ones that look beautiful. The sales rep was thorough and knowledgeable. He explained what's involved in re-shingling and the different options that would be available through Peak or any other company. We got a firm price on the job, and a clear explanation of potential extra costs based only on the condition of the roof under the old shingles. When it turned out that roof boards were rotting, we got photos of each one so we knew what had been replaced. (We could also see the new boards from the inside, by standing in the attic.) The total cost seemed reasonable. The work itself took only one day and the workers did a good job cleaning up afterwards. The sales rep also followed up promptly. We just had our roof replaced by Peak and they did a magnificent job! Everything went smoothly from the start. The initial sales visit and price negotiation went well, very professional. The price we settled on was the price we paid. The materials were delivered the day before work began, and placed so as not to disrupt any of the plants in the front yard. Roofers arrived early the next day and continued until there wasn't enough light to work by. A two-day job was finished in a little over one day. Throughout the job, they managed to not trample any plants, just a couple of weeds, and thoroughly ... THOROUGHLY ... cleaned up afterwards. My wife did the magnet-on-a-stick test and came up dry.
