First visit and we will definitely return. Everything we ordered was delicious. I will order shrimp tacos every time I dine here. The crab rangoon was good but I won't order it again. The panko on the crispy shrimp platter was super crunchy. The fried lobster was perfectly cooked and the batter was light and crispy. I might need to order it every visit too. We ate some of the lobster before I took a picture so serving is much larger than it appears. Same with the shrimp tacos. Not sure how we ended up ordering mostly fried food because they have a lot of other options. Looking forward to dining at Pearl Tavern again soon. read more

So today I went here for brunch got the first time. Food was good as always and service was just as good. I ordered the Romano chicken pasta and added a little spice to it. Usually I'm particular about getting pasta at non-Italian restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely order this again. My friend ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. Our first visit to Pearl Tavern was to celebrate a friends birthday. We called ahead to set a reservation for a Sunday brunch. The restaurant is nestled into the southwest corner of the SummitWoods Crossing shopping center in Lee's Summit. Easy access off of Chippman road at MO Hwy 50. We were quickly greeted by the hostess and escorted past the bar to a reserved table. The venue has darkened ceilings, hardwood tables and dark plush surfaces, which contrast well against the cream colored walls with brick accent. The server was attentive and gathered our beverage order while we viewed the menu. This restaurant features seafood and craft cocktails. We ordered a Manhattan and a Dogfish Head Dragons and Yum Yums with an order of ceviche. The drinks were wonderful and the ceviche was well seasoned and refreshing. The Manhattan is served in a dainty champagne glass. For the second round, I asked for the drink in a tumbler to avoid unnecessary spilling of the drink. I really appreciate that the server and bar were able to accommodate this request. For our main, we ordered the crispy crab cake sandwich and the mushroom stuffed salmon. We were delighted both dishes came with a side. The sandwich had fries. The salmon was paired with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The food was delivered promptly. The dished were fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend the salmon. A nice variety of items for the brunch menu. Take time to checkout the menu ahead of your stay to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Lots of seating in this restaurant. Good for groups. They even have a reserved section that can be partitioned off the regular dining area. read more

Stopped by around 12:30 on Super Bowl Sunday and got a table right away. Mimosa trio, you say? Yes, please! And we also had the blue crab dip, served with naan. The dip was creamy and tasty, but the naan was just so-so. I ordered the mushroom stuffed salmon for my my entree and my husband had the tavern boil. His dish was good but didn't blow us away. The salmon, however, was wonderful. Cooked perfectly and the sauce was decadent yet light. Delicious! I tried the classic, Paloma, and peach Bellini mimosa flavors. The peach wasn't as sweet as I expected which was a nice surprise. The classic was...well, classic. And the Paloma was very tasty. I also tried the Spicy Piña, which was SOOOO good!!! Our server was amazing and offered us the special Valentine's Day dessert, which was a chocolate mousse in a chocolate bowl with a raspberry sauce. So good!! This was my third visit here and won't be my last. I ordered the fried shrimp platter. The shrimp were very large very tender and flavorful. But I have to be honest the hush puppies were terrible to the point I could not eat them . They were stone hard and had no onion flavor at all.. I love hush puppies and that was the reason I ordered what I did so I was a bit disappointed. The calamari and crab rangoon appetizers were excellent. My son had the lobster roll and a side of clam chowder and he said it was very good. All in all I recommend Pearl Tavern if you like seafood. The service was very good also read more

A couple girlfriends and I decided to check out Pearl for a nice RW lunch. I haven't been to this location since it was a sports bar, so this was a pleasant surprise. I didn't look ahead of time what type of food they had and was excited to see some of the seafood choices available. I chose the Clam Chowder and Blackened Shrimp Tacos for food and the Mermaid Water and Strawberry Basil for drinks. The Clam Chowder was delicious and had some of the largest pieces of fish in it that I've ever had. The shrimp tacos were small but mighty. At first glance, I thought it was all very small, but it was filling and I actually couldn't eat it all. The drinks were fun and refreshing. The service was exceptional and I was overly impressed of the amount of drinks she could carry and not spill a single drop. I'm a non seafood eater!! I tried the only thing that was available, the Romano chicken Pasta, macaroni and cheese and the pretzel dessert. Macaroni and cheese was decent but didn't feel it justified a $10 price tag. The Romano chicken pasta is some of the best chicken I've ever had, but every time I order it I find myself wanting more of the chicken. The pasta is really delicious but it is kinda pricy. $22 for some chicken and pasta. Lastly, the peanut butter pretzel pie.. it's delicious. It really is. But again, the prices... $11.45 for one piece of pie. SO although I think the Romano chicken pasta and the peanut butter pretzel pie are very delicious.. I do find the prices to be a little much here in comparison to other places. Seafood is understandable to be more pricy but not the entire menu. Definitely have to a splurge every once in awhile instead of frequent visit. read more

No fish and chips on kids menu per bartender only salmon on kids menu though online shows fish and chips. (?) Main menu fish and chips are great. Very thick cuts. Enough for 1-2. I suggest a split plate if sharing as the filet is cut in half, breaded, fried. Bartender struggled with questions about the oyster flavor/brine and apps. Suggest adding this to the menu for the customer. 2nd bartender quickly knew. Very busy on a Saturday. Lots of tv's so not the quiet date. My family and I took my grandmother here for her birthday and everything was amazing. It is rather big on the inside, lots of tall tables, a nice bar and a bag room with bigger family tables. We sat back here which was nice because it was quieter and calm. Our waiter was very friendly. He had a great personality and was an overall great server. The food was the best part. I'm not a seafood person but man, do they know how to make some seafood! I got fish and chips and it was outstanding. The fish was hot, crispy and delicious. (same with the fries) Other foods enjoyed at our table: hush puppies, LOBSTER MAC, tacos, a salmon burger and much much more! I also had the mermaid water drink. It was tasty. Add in well trained staff and I have a new favorite in KC! First time I went was for dinner with 12 people. We ordered nearly every appetizer on the menu as well as 12 different entrees and a few desserts. We enjoyed fish raw, grilled, steamed, and fried. Everything was cooked perfectly including the sides! The seafood was so fresh I felt like I was sitting near a beach on an ocean somewhere eating right off the boats! The standout of the night for me was their version of Oysters Rockefeller. They build this classic with HUGE fried oysters and creamed spinach with of course... BACON!!! I've also been for their amazing Happy Hour in the bar with 8 people. $1 oysters and so many other great HH priced appetizers and small plates. GREAT FOR FOODIES! I didn't get a chance to count the # of fried shrimp in the order before she dug in so can't report on that. I can relay that they were huge, very fresh and delicious. I also ordered a side salad ($6.95) that was enough for two people to share which is reasonable for the price. My blackened grilled salmon was cooked PERFECTLY. It was accompanied by grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. Our server Deonte was polite and did a good job. Great calamari appetizer with multiple dipping options. We had a stuffed salmon entree, excellent fish and chips, but the cioppino was called the best restaurant entree in years by my son. Got a taste and I agree it was delicious. Chocolate mousse dessert was a perfect finish. And our server was super friendly and helpful. Overall, highly recommended. My rainbow trout lunch with mashed potatoes and asparagus ($15.95) from the separate fresh fish menu, which changes daily, was served with a smile in about thirteen minutes. The serving sizes were generous, the trout was tasty, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. I also sampled the tavern gumbo, which was hearty, and very flavorful. Amazing service and good quality seafood! Very extensive menu with a little bit of everything. Despite the chargrilled oyster being a miss, overall we were pleased with our visit. They were on the small side and lacked the butter and cheese that we're use to having at creole restaurants. I think it was the panko bread crumbs, they were very overwhelming. The Parmesan Sole was delicious as well as the Calamari! Gigantic shrimp po boy for my customer. Clam chowder had no meat no fish no shrimp & no clams, given it was flavorful. Grant you that. The bowl seemed like a cup size. We did get great service from variety of staff checking on us, thanks for that. Lots of choices in this area. read more
