I've been a patient at Pearl Vision for years. I had an appointment for 10:00AM. All I need is a document to get my driver's license. I arrived at 9:30 AM, and I'm still sitting here at 10:50. people who arrived after me have been seen and have left. I can't leave because I need the form. I hate wasting my time. I'm so frustrated. I feel like I'm being held hostage. I can't just leave. I don't have anyone else who can complete the form. This is poor customer service. read more

Went downhill Since Dr Oifer sold it. He is now in Cumming just off of 400 Lanier Family Care. I pass several opticians to get there, as it is worth the trip. My previous Pearle location's Employees seem lackadaisical, and just "working". It has been changed to a "corporatish" environment. I went there for over 15 years with David and Dr Oifer as my main draw. When you have a friendly, considerate owner IMHO your experience and care will be much more caring, professional, and accurate. read more

I returned to see if O could get my glasses replaced. I arrived and was told I had no warranty at all and the best they could do was sell me a $99 set of frames and I would have to buy an extended warranty. For $39.99. I was also informed that the glasses I choose were no longer availble and that becouse they were discounted (which they never said anything to me about it) I would get no credit towards any new eyeglasses. They are also not aware that all warranty sold by independent seller have to be claimed at the store where they were purchased. Sales people are great till you have an issue then its to bad so sad pay us more! read more

Ryan the manager is terrible to deal with. While getting a quote on contacts he was very pushy. You can tell the other employees were intimidated by him and he just bulldozes them. Although they price match, he gates very angry when you get the price from them and say you want to research it and will call in an order. We also had charges that should not have been on the bill that we finally got taken of after a fight. Been a customer there for years and it's not like it used to be when Howard owned this pearl vision. They just lost our whole family as customers. read more

This is not the same business it used to be. Dr. Oifer was wonderful, professional and cared about his practice and his customers. We've gone to him as a family for several years. He examined my son recently, and gave him a Rx (his very first pair of glasses, not complicated.) My son filled the Rx elsewhere (Pearle has always cost at least 3x more than most places.) The Rx seems to be off. I called today and spoke with a very rude, patronizing associate who continued to talk over me. I simply asked if he could come in and see Dr. Oifer to re-check the Rx given, as we were told the glasses were made correctly according to his Rx. Unfortunately, Dr. Oifer has retired. Now you're dealing with a completely different animal, they want to charge me again for a $30 examination fee. The rude assistant refused to get her manager, and repeatedly told me that after one month they re-charge the fee. We could make an appointment with a different Dr. and would be expected to pay "unless the Dr. got the Rx wrong." Why would we go back to a rude, uncaring staff who treated us like that? Dr. Oifer would have taken the few minutes to ensure that the correct rx was given, without the added grief and insult. Never again, the many 1 star reviews speak for themselves. read more

I do not recommend this business. I have had repeated issues with Pearle Vision regarding my contacts. They refuse to cooperate with me as I try to purchase my prescription from another provider. I have only received my glasses prescription record. They claim they don't have a contact perception records for me to get anymore, and I have not had contacts for a month because of this ordeal. read more

I went in to see Dr. Chopra for the first time, he did not even look at my chart before my exam. I know this because he prescribed me contact to fix my astigmatism and gave me the same rx for the Right eye but spherical. If he would have looked at my chart he would have seen in 2024 the doctor tried that and it failed and I had to go back in. I HAVE NOW BEEN IN 4 TIMES TO GET THIS FIXED. At this point I want my money back but they refuse saying I have to keep the contacts or come in a 5TH TIME to see if they can find the right fit. Went here for years with Dr. Oifer. Just went back for the first time and it was horrible. I'll be changing practices. The staff seemed very all over and not knowing what they were doing in order for them to release my prescription. The doc pressured me into a test saying I had to have it even though when I declined in the past Dr. Oifer said that was fine. Don't go here. I am giving these crooks one (1) Star since it is the lowest rating I can give! For over 29 years I did business with this location while Dr. Howard Oifer was the man in charge. He looked after my eye needs as well as my family's needs. Now I found out he is retiring. About two years ago he arranged for me to have Cataract surgery on my left eye. Now I have 20-20 vision in that eye. We waited for the Cataract in my Right eye to fully develop, and during this time he supplied me with disposable daily contact lenses to aid my vision in the Right eye. My Medicare/Medicare insurance, as well as my supplemental United Healthcare insurance covered all my costs and I NEVER had to pay Howard a single penny. Each time I needed more disposable single temporary lenses, I would just drop by and pick up more ALWAYS FREE OF COST! Never a penny out of my pocket. But NOT NOW. On October 7th I am scheduled for new Cataract surgery, so I stopped by to get about two weeks supply. I was charged $39.00 out of my pocket, and last night I got a Statement from United Healthcare where these Crooks charged my Supplemental coverage $165.00 for the same deal. I think $204.00 is rather steep for Disposable Daily wear throwaways. Can we say Dirty Thieving Crooks? Do they not know in Georgia there is a law about Exploitation of Senior Citizens. Who's in the wrong here? The elderly patient or the Dirty Rotten Thieving Crooks. Don't shop with them....run the other way! read more

Dr Oifer is a great guy, makes you comfortable and is very knowledgeable. The male assistant is also very professional and knowledgeabl, he helped my son find a great pair of glasses. After going to this location for 2 years and having mostly good experiences my last the girls at the front desk were very disrespectful, unprofessional and I suspect maybe racists. What other reason would they be laughing at me and my kids -we're people of color' while we browsed their glasses selection. Even though this experience was over a year ago, I'm still angry at myself for calmly walking away instead of confronting them while they laughed and derided us. I have been a customer of Pearle Vision for 37 years and always had the finest service from Dr. Oieffer, David and the staff. Professionals and great. I realize that Dr. Oieffer has sold the practice and it has gone straight downhill. Many of my neighbors have stopped going and you can see a considerable drop in traffic and cars in the parking lot. I had a bill from them and I was disputing for over 37 years I have one free eye check up a year with my United Healthcare medicare advantage. I asked why there is a copy when my insurance stated there is NO copy, in addition BEFORE I took the exam and confirmed no additional charges. I called and left 3 messages with Cristian and he never called back so I came to the store and showed him the bill. Extremely rude and smirked I must email CBO@westpointoptical.com The rest of the staff was cordial but he would not answer my questions and accused me that I didn't know or understand. Kept smirking and said he will not answer questions; I have to email. He said he was leaving anyway so that might be the reason for his rude and terrible attitude. I have the bill and will not pay it. It is only $25 but the principle of not explaining and I confirmed with my insurance company and the Pearle staff. and BEFORE I had the exam. I have never had a problem in the past at Pearl for 37 years but if this is not credited or I have to work with Cristian, I will not be returning and will explain to every social media what I encountered. read more

Henry Pash is one of the greatest professionals I've encountered in my entire life -- not just as an optician, but ANY professional. He has a sixth sense about what a customer needs. Several years ago he chose a pair that I thought was too trendy for me. I continued to get compliments on them 12 years afterward -- until I lost them on a plane. I was severely crippled by the Recession and in particular the real estate collapse and he knew I had kept coming back to get them adjusted. When I finally lost them, he kindly gave me a substantial discount because he knew I had been without glasses for over a month. Professional + Compassion = Customer for Life! read more

I have been going to this location since moving to GA. Reason for the two stars is because, since Dr Oiffer sold to big corporate, they outsource their glasses. So, if your needing glasses, it will be ATLEAST two weeks before receiving them. I am currently on 2.5 weeks. Doctors are great though!! read more

This place is horrible now. We've spent so many hours here and our daughter still doesn't have her glasses with new lenses. First they weren't made correctly and then they lost the rush order. There are some a couple of amazing people at this location but the overall process has changed (nothing done in-house) and we won't be back. They did make an offer to put a bandaid on the problem but two months later and we are just over it. read more

One simple suggestion: don't stop here, just don't come here. The reading glasses sold at any pharmacy will be better and cheaper. The employees? Simply unprofessional: I had to wait 3 weeks to have my reading glasses ready and in the end they were wrong, wrong lenses. As I didn't want progressive glasses (I'm astigmatic) I also bought glasses to drive; but when I went to pick them up they were not the right lenses. Then I bought a pair of sunglasses with lenses to drive; after 15 days one lens fell. I sent my assistant to ask them to fix them, and they said "no, we have to send them back", they will be ready in 15 days. OK, more than 15 days ago I went back to pick them up, but...the glasses had no prescriptions on. It took 20 min to let a guy that was there understand what was going on, finally he got it and said: they will be here in 15 days. Conclusion: I spent more than $850 and today, 12/11/2022 I have not yet my glasses, also because today the store is closed. Are all the Pearle Vision such a ridiculous failure? read more

6 Months, $600+, 3 attempts, still no glasses. This store was great in the past, I had used them for 10+ years and been overjoyed, but management, staff, and labs have clearly now changed and it appears they are now unable to handle high prescriptions and refuse to simply admit that and refund the customer. I purchased glasses on March 22, 2021 and was told they would arrive in 2 weeks, which is standard for my Rx (over -15.00). The cost was over $600, which was reasonable for 1.74 high index materials in my Rx. The glasses took over a month to come in (twice as long as estimated), and were defective in that they became unwearable due to scratches in under a month, in spite of the fact that in 40 years of wearing glasses I have never scratched a pair that badly. They offered to have them remade -- great, no problem. That took another month plus, and upon them arriving they were improperly made again, this time with the wrong measurements (PD and optical centers) in spite of both being double checked by the staff and confirmed on the lenses themselves. This was early June. They sent them back again. They did not get delivered until mid-August (2 months, this time), and were again defectively made and not cut properly. To date, the store has refused to provide a refund, simply offering to continually have them remade. It is clear their current 'specialty' lab is incapable of producing high-index glasses for those with severe myopia. I would encourage anyone with high (-15.-00+) Rx's to look to other options, so you do not waste 6 months and $600 to not have glasses. In fairness, Henry remains one of the nicest and most honest employees I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately it appears that the new management and overall staff aren't up to their old standards, and one great employee cannot save an optical company that can't get glasses properly made. read more

I really like Dr. Oifer A LOT! He is personable, friendly, and professional. His assistant, David, is just as wonderful. His front office folks are "young", not so friendly, and on their phones, from my observations in my wait times during my exam and eyeglass purchase experience. The "store" part of this location needs some work. The wait times to get a "eyeglass professional" are completely unexcuseable. My exam from walk in to picking out my frames, lens, etc. was thirty minutes. Picking up the completed glasses a week later, that had already been paid for, was an hour and five minutes. Unbearable, in my opinion. The wait room, if you want to call it that, is a row of chairs at the entrance of the store. There is A LOT of foot traffic and children are running about and screaming. This store is always busy. The parking lot is always packed. In the future, I may just get the exam, and take my prescription elsewhere or even try online eyeglasses just to avoid the wait and chaos. read more

I needed an eye exam and wanted one from a renowned franchise. This Pearle Vision on Alpharetta Street, while practicing Covid guidelines, left me with a very poor experience and I will not go again or recommend them to anyone. The look and feel of the shop was unprofessional, very untidy with folders and papers strewn everywhere. The open plan design had desks with poorly matched chairs, all over without partitions (to at least hide stuff) as boxes, eyeglass packages and folders were all stacked on the ground or overflowing on their desks. When I began looking at frames I ended up in the front corner looking down at another messy desk. This is not the environment or experience I wanted. The doctor who checked my vision was professional, albeit very fast, but he didn't even close the door for privacy. I can overhear what was going on in the main area. Another example of an unprofessionalism experience. At the end I did express my discontent with the girls upfront (with another messy back shelving unit) and they were appreciative and said they were under new management or something like that. This is not an excuse for untidiness. There are far too many other eyecare specialists to choose from. read more

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and love Dr. Oifer and Henry, but they are lacking in their glass preparation area. They tell me 2 hrs, I come in and then it's another 30 minutes. The only reason I go here is because of the Silhouette frames. Love them. I can go to Sams Club and get a set of similar (but not silhouette) frames for half the price. I had to go get my lenses updated and signed in. I didn't have all day to wait. Another couple came in about 15mins after me, never signed in but were all "chummy" with one of the ladies, like they were pals outside of work and the clerk, immediately took them to a desk. Umm...hello? I was here FIRST! If I hadn't had another rep help me only a couple minutes later, I would of said something. Think I'm going to find my Silhouettes someplace else if I can. read more

I have been going here for around 10 years, but no more. Absolutely NO reason you should go here for glasses. I thought I would support Pearle Vision and buy my glasses there since I had the exam there. Glasses are considerably more expensive and front desk customer service is rude and disrespectful. Glasses were supposed to take 2 weeks, 3 visits and 5 weeks later they were finally ready. I went to the front desk to inquire about my prescription and why they had specs on there for reading glasses when I could see perfectly fine. The guy at the front desk was very rude to me. I don't have a problem with my eyes, but when I do, I am coming to Pearle Vision here in Roswell. My sunglasses lens popped out due to a screw loosening on the frame. I took the glasses to Pearle and with no questions at all, they took them to the back and fixed the glasses. Then the guy that assisted me gave me a few extra small screws just in case the incident happens again. Customer service is REALLY important, and it is obviously important to the folks at Pearle Vision. I am not the only one that feels that way because the place was packed with smiling customers. I've been going to this Pearle Vision for years. The Docs and staff here are very nice and very professional. Also, I can get in and out in a decent amount of time. I love that they are opened until 7pm and that they are open on Saturdays. A gal like me needs that kind of flexibility with my busy life style and all. I really like this location. read more

I decided to hit up this Pearle Vision because I needed a new contact script, and I found a coupon in the newspaper...win, right? Well, making an appointment was easy, and when I got there I had minimal wait time. Everything was pretty efficient, and they successfully up-sold me on their high tech eye imaging machine (who wants to be dilated in the middle of the day?!). The doctor was quick to check my eyes and figure out my script. The only thing I didn't like, was that he said I had an eye infection, but I know my eyes were just irritated from being around some cats earlier. He wrote me out a script and I figured I would fill it just to be on the safe side. It was $50 and totally not worth it. I am so bummed about that. The only other reason I took off a star was because the guy working doing the preliminary exam, was very unprofessional. I guess because I am younger he thought he could make inappropriate jokes to me, but I was very put off. He even went as far as to swear in front of me, which is extremely unprofessional in my opinion. I would likely go back, because I liked the doctor, but this guy has got to go! read more

HORRIBLE! A month since I ordered my glasses and still nothing, I've called multiple times to be given the run around. Called Friday they said they were there but they needed 24-48hrs to QC ok...i get it, nothing for 4 days, called back today, was left on hold forever, had to call back for them to tell me the same thing, they are being QC'd.... I only use this location to buy lenses and frames, I do not have my eye exam done here. I've been using them for glasses for three years because they have a really good frame selection of higher-end and more unusual frames. My glasses are like jewelry to me and I like them to stand out. I've had many compliments on the frames I've purchased here. I've always found the staff eager to help (make a sale, same thing in my case). They let me take all the time I needed and try on as many pair as I like, which can be 20 or more before I make a decision. This isn't the hippest place ever, but check out their Face a Face frames, they're not that easy to find. I like the location and will be back. read more

I can't say enough about this location. I admit I've not been the best at keeping up with eye exams. Went with my wife and Dr Oifer was like an old friend in minutes. Really appreciate the time he spent going over things. The ladies out front didn't push anything on us, just simply helped us find what we wanted. A couple of months later when someone in the family smooshed my glasses I was surprised at the way in which they took care of my needs. This is my place going forward. He is the most pleasant person and his customer service on the phone matches his demeanor in person as well. He wasn't able to repair my shades to perfection but got them to where it was manageable. Dr Oifer is the absolute best! I can not say enough good things about him. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and very caring. He continues to impress me with every visit. The coating on my lenses started wearing off and it was just over the 2 year warranty. He helped me out and discounted the lenses. More than fair. I drive back to roswell just over 3 hours to continue seeing him because he is so good. If you are not getting the service and quality you want or expect, Howard is your answer. read more

Despite of taking an appointment, my exam was delayed by 45 mins with no specific mention about reason for delay. It was over crowded - obvious for year-end rush. They messed up my Rx and gave wrong. When I requested them to recheck - they accepted their mistake. The optician wasn't helpful and attentive as she had to some work on computer. The doctor and technician were very courteous and friendly. They spent good amount of time with me, explaining the exam/details/etc. . There is a lot of scope to improve for the front office staff / opticians. Not recommended during rush season like year-end. read more

Thanks for doing the absolute minimum, Pearl. I Dropped by Pearl to get my 85 y/o mother's glasses fixed. She needed a new nose pad. They replaced ONE of them. Really? Now her glasses have nose pads that are of different shape and different color because the new one is clear and the other one has darkened with age. Furthermore you left your fingerprints all over therm. This isn't a way to win over a potential new customer. read more

Everyone went out of their way to be fair in price especially considering we were there for costume lenses and when she came back for a new pair today the woman working the counter was extremely helpful.
