I have been to this spot a few times, living so close to it. I've never been disappointed, the good is always great!! Beware not to fill up on the bread basket though, you'll want to save room for dinner! Most recently I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. First for an appetizer we got wings, we tried the mix BBQ and buffalo flavor. They were way spicier than I was expecting but very very delicious! We also got the chicken taquitos, not sure if that's what they're called on the menu, but that's what they are. Don't recommend those, but no big deal. For our meals my boyfriend got steak sliders. He really really enjoyed these. I got a nice garden salad with grilled chicken. My salad was delicious. I mean its not to hard too mess up a nice garden salad topped with grilled chicken, but the chicken was cooked very well and I wanted to eat the whole thing, only thing was I was completely full from too much bread and appetizers. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs that night, which happens but luckily we were still able to enjoy what we managed to eat and took the rest home for leftovers to eat the next night! So was car shopping (rather window shopping for a car) before the holiday and had an hour to kill so stopped in here for a quick bite. I was very happy yet disappointed all at the same time once I got my meal as the food was so good, yet i'd not had a full meal here in quite some time so have been missing out! Used a gift certificate here, and it was nice night out. They did not take RSVPs over the phone but we got there early enough for a short wait. I didn't know this place was here, the food was delicious and a pleasant surprise. Usually I love pearsalls. My favorite thing they make is the potato skins. We picked up recently and they were burnt I was so annoyed. It was before 5 pm so i was kinda like, why?! SHARING CHARGE??? I was part of a party of 3. We had 3 drinks. When we ordered 2 entrees, the waitress politely informed us that we would need to order something else, since the owner, Brian, was 'cracking down' on that. Excuse me? Cracking down? I'm a paying customer giving money to your establishment. This isn't a Western movie where we're the thieves and the owner is the sheriff! Furthermore, what gives the restaurant the right to tell me how much to eat? I'm going out to eat to enjoy time with company, feel welcomed, and enjoy the food I want to eat, in the amount I want to eat. I used to enjoy this place and I frequented it. My family and I would order drinks and (*gasp*) share an appetizer! This used to be a Long Island classic. Went there for Sunday brunch, the service was great, Brittany was our server. She was polite and very friendly. The food was very delicious, steak and eggs and the avocado toast with smoke salmon was good( the chef forgot the garnishing , but it's ok) The manager came over to make sure all was well. The unlimited drinks are a bit watered down, I only had one glass ( they don't serve it in a regular champagne glass) aside from the drinks everything was perfect. Other restaurants in the vicinity were too crowded and we happened to pass by Pearsall's Station. They sat us down right away. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The warm atmosphere feels like you are sitting in an old-fashioned train car. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious. This old bar / restaurant might just top my list as the worst I've been to in a long long time. My friend and I both ordered salads with grilled chicken. Different salads but both just terrible. Terrible flavor.chicken had no flavor and salad was doused with the worst dressing. On top of that, what seemed to be a 50 yr old manager was within earshot talking to 20 yr old workers about his over drinking and womanizing the previous night. Had lunch here with the "girls" from work today. Great atmosphere and service. However, two of us decided to try the "Claw" which is a crab cake. Such a disappointment. We were left asking, "where's the crab?" It tasted like a mushy potato pancake. Not one taste of crab or seafood of any kind. I think management needs to rethink who they order these from. I normally won't give a restaurant or business 2 or less stars but my boyfriend and I had an awful experience here. We chose this place because we read these reviews and saw that this place had a variety of food to choose from. When we arrived the restaurant/bar smelled like bleach. It's nice to know that a restaurant is clean, but when it's so strong and uncomfortable that you can taste it, perhaps they should use a better solution and hold off on the stronger chemicals before they open/when they close. We split the potato skins and I had a salad. When the potato skins arrived, half of them had burned/black bacon and cheese that was dried. It looked and tasted like they refried the bacon from that morning and microwaved the cheese on top. I couldn't eat it and told the bartender why. He didn't apologize, ask if I wanted something else, or take it off the check. He just took it away without any word. When my salad arrived, it was basically 5 pieces of lettuce from bagged salad on a small flat plate. I couldn't even cut anything without it falling off. The honey mustard dressing I ordered was terrible and had an off flavor. So I ordered Italian vinaigrette and it was all oil, clumps of I'm not sure what on the bottom. I was so disgusted that we asked for the check and I went to the bathroom to use it before we left (which is near the kitchen) and there was a group of fat flies. I turned around and left. Happened in on German night besides their extensive menu they have a menu with just German plates. We ordered the wiener schnitzel the Veal was excellent and came with 2 potato pancakes, red cabbage, and apple sauce. Everything was perfectly prepared . Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, all around great vibes!! They have great deals for each day of the week, and their daily specials are always new, exciting, and DELICIOUS. The prices/portions can't be matched. The management is excellent and always friendly, and I have never had a problem in the past year that I have been eating here. My friends and I love to grab drinks by the bar (bartenders are super cool and engaging) and every now and then we come for the Sunday brunch...which is also a great deal (unlimited drinks and good food). It is also very convenient to come here for drinks before hitting the train across the street. My only complaint is that there is only one bathroom for men and one for women...but if no one is looking you can really use either LOL! read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a busy Friday night and we really enjoyed it ! We waited about 30 mins and then was sat in a booth in the back away from the crowded bar which was totally worth the wait. We got the gyozas for appetizers that came with a delicious peanut sauce. I ordered a chicken club sandwich with a side of grilled asparagus. No complaints ! Very tasty. My boyfriend ordered the "mixed grill" which came with a mix of shrimp, ribs, and skirt steak with homemade bbq sauce. From what I tasted, it was super tasty and tender. Absolutely not. My husband and I came here (based on the great reviews) anticipating a great pub meal. We were highly mistaken. The food was horrible. Buffalo wings were watery with huge sprinkled red pepper flakes. Are we such rookies that we can't even cook down the red pepper flakes a bit, folks? The steak was hot and rubbery straight out of the microwave. How dare these people serve me a $20 microwaved steak dish? My husband's BBQ platter was just embarrassing. The sauce was dried onto the chicken breast, the skirt steak was not good, the ribs were tender but tasted so cheap and were lacking flavor. The meals were just embarrassing. Keep in mind, I am not at all a food snob. We would not be having a local dinner in Lynbrook on a Sunday night if that were the case. We spent $75 here and did not even get freshly baked bread. Everything was bad! But the servers and staff were extremely nice and attentive. The restaurant received 2 stars for service. PLEASE step up your food items, Pearsall's. Went for brunch this past Sunday. Staff were so nice and friendly. Food was very good too. Nothing CRAZY. Prices are also very reasonable. Which I always love. Wouldn't say it was my favorite brunch spot but I would go back again. I had the crab cake royale which was good. Also came with a side of potatoes/hash browns. Very filling. We were visiting my in-laws for the holidays and saw the bad reviews for Maier's Brick Cafe and thought better to come back. So we were searching for a new place nearby and found this restaurant and test out Lynbrook... They came out with fresh warm soft bread, which is always a good start... :) I had the pasta and steak dish. Steak was perfectly cooked and pasta was just pasta and marinara sauce. That said, it was cooked perfectly. Hubby was happy with his steak sandwich, but he saved his biggest compliments for the bartender who made his Cosmo right and the pastry chef who made a really good "chocolate indulgence" (I agree too on the dessert!!!) Nice environment. Service was very good!!! We will definitely be back next year in place of Brick Cafe. read more

I love this place for their Happy Hour (2-for-1), their generous helpings of bar nuts and chips and their friendly bartenders (they look serious and perhaps unfriendly at times, but they're pretty awesome). Unfortunately, their food has taken a turn for the worse. The past few times I've had dinner there, I've been disappointed. One time, the chicken didn't taste right in my Chicken McDonough. The other time, the twisted chicken and cheese pasta was not only different than what it used to taste like (it used to be yummy), but it also led to a very bad morning (ugh). I gave them a few tries, thinking maybe they had an off night, but it's at that point where I just can't spend the money on their dinner menu anymore. Been here a few times over the past couple of years. This is definitely a step above other bar food in the area and they seem to take the menu pretty seriously. The staff will actually make a suggestion based on your likes and the chef is willing to take a dish a step or two further, if requested. I think that's nice to see because bars usually treat their beer and booze first, and the food becomes secondary. .......but not here, it's easy to tell that they take the food seriously. It draws a decent, laid back adult crowd, so if you're in your early 20's looking for a wild night, might I suggest you take your energy one town over to Rockville Centre and find a place that's a little more "young people" friendly to let off some steam. read more

The place had great energy, & very good food. A few downers was that they were unable to take a reservation on a Friday night, and that the place was very loud, so it was difficult to carry on a conversation. But I wasn't there for the social time, I was there to eat. so with that said, I was able to enjoy the skirt steak which came with garlic mashed potatoes, string beans & carrots. This meal also included a salad, which was a nice add on. The steak was prepared well. I've enjoyed skirt steak from others places that were seasoned better, but for $17 i thought it was a good deal so I was satisfied. I also had the chance to try some of the coconut crusted chicken which although I'm not a big fan of coconut, the chicken wasn't dry & flavorless, so I would suggest this dish. A great deal for $15. Which brings me to what I'm going to say next: The one aspect about pearsalls that stuck out to me was the portions - this place offers you a lot of food for the price. I thought this was great, because it brought me back to a time when you could go to certain restaurants & you would be guaranteed a meal with portions that made you feel you were getting your money's worth. Unfortunately, since I was driving I didn't have the chance to try a beer or two. This place is your classic neighborhood spot; it's homey, I'm sure plenty of the servers/bartenders know plenty of the patrons by name, so I absolutely appreciate that atmosphere when visiting a restaurant for the first time. With that being said, this is a good place to have good food. It's nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. Adjust your expectations accordingly. I ordered a crab-cake sandwich with a side of fries. In my opinion, it took longer than it should to reach my table. The restaurant certainly didn't seem to be busy at the time. The fries were fine, the seasoning almost non-existent but salt can go a long way. I was a little annoyed I wasn't offered a drink when my food came; I had been offered coffee as I sat looking at the menu, but then had to ask for water from a bus-boy. There are so many places around Lynbrook and Rockville Centre to eat, so I would imagine more restaurants would really try to stand out. That wasn't so much the case here. read more

Since my sister moved to Lynbrook we have been here a few times and each time the food was excellent. They have a large selection on the menu, and not just your typical bar food. Everything is fresh and homemade. The portions are enormous. Everything is super tasty and they have great specials. They have a separate restaurant area so you don't have to be stuck in the bar area. It can get a little loud, but it is worth it. read more

If i wrote this review 6 months to 1 year ago i would've rated it 3.5-4 stars. But after my last visit i would only rate it 2. And this review is just based on brunch experience, if you're there just to watch the game and hang at the bar its a decent spot. brunch comes with unlimited bloody mary's (pre-mixed), mimosa (watered down), screwdrivers, coffee (not fresh) and juices. And they have three different price ranges, $13.95, $14.95 and $15.95 depending on what you order. So price-wise its a pretty good deal. But the food is lacking in flavor and they seriously don't know how to cook eggs. My guess is that they use egg substitutes for egg whites because my grilled vegetable omelette was extremely firm. They should advise the customer of that next time so they have the option of ordering something else. Other then the bad eggs the service was pretty slow too but the servers are nice. read more

We had their Sunday brunch - everything was fresh and plentiful. Bread basket includes muffins coffee cake pound cake and bagels. There were 8 of us and each had something different - good stuff.
