I ordered the "signature" steak sandwich. Apart from a disappointing huge wad of fat, the sandwich was pretty good. I subbed a baked potato for fries (had to ask for butter / sour cream). Also coleslaw really good. We also had an entree salad that was pretty good. We got a table within 10 minutes. The service... was quick but not really attentive. For example, every table around us got a bread basket... but ours. Also we ordered a beverage that never appeared (thankfully not on the check). Also, the words "thank you" are always I nice touch when delivering or collecting the check. Again a missing touch. We will go back... but I will skip the steak sandwich. read more

Came here yesterday for our Father's Day Dinner, outside dining due to corona and let me say how they have done a great job. From the moment we got there the owner greeted us. (Lovely man) made us feel so welcome. Food was amazing, service was great. I like that there are places like Yelp to voice opinions on establishments , that being said... I feel that it opens the door to have anyone with a grievance to air their versions of "the story." I happened to be present on the night that zone picked up his order. Please keep in mind that there are always 2 sides of a story. The owner Brian and the whole staff in my experience with them(been going there for over 10years) have always been very professional. It is a place where everyone is treated with great hospitality and most of all respect. The way the owner and the establishment is being portrayed in their review is unfair and biased .I understand that they were unhappy with their experience however , she was not in the establishment with him at that time to have first hand knowledge to know what exactly transpired. During the current situation of how our neighborhood establishments have had to adjust to covid guidelines it is my opinion that Pearsalls have gone above and beyond precautions to keep in door dining and outgoing orders safe for our community. During the current climate of covid I would hope that reviews of a disgruntled patron will be taken with a grain of salt and people will judge all the good reviews and their own experience with Pearsalls before making judgements. read more

** Must Read ** If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only was the food disgusting and we found ourselves sick from it, but the lovely manager Tommy decided to yell at us. We ordered three meals and I had ordered steak and shrimp scampi. No complaints about the waitress, but the cook who mad our food was awful. I asked for a medium steak and in turn got a rare one. The moment I cut the meat blood came out and engulfed my plate. I do not like bloody food or blood on my potatoes. We told the waitress unfortunately my appetite disappeared. She did offer to recook it or make me a new plate and so did the manager, but it was too late - I could no eat anything. When it was time to pay for the bill I handed my card over and just paid for everything without even considering the charges. The total came to $89, which isn't a big deal but I couldn't understand why. My assumption was that they would have taken my new off. When we asked you why we were charged the waitress went to get Tommy. Tommy then came over and proceeded to YELL at all of us. My fiancé said nothing wrong to him and never raised his voice. Tommy keep yelling at us with people sitting behind us that "that is not proper restaurant etiquette" and kept educating us how we're supposed to get charged for a meal regardless of whether or not it was cooked properly. After a long day my sister and fiancé did not need to experience a dinner like this. It's a shame to know that I can get better service at Applebee's or the IHOP down the block then here. Tommy, you are a disgrace to the wonderful people who work there. And FYI - proper restaurant etiquette is providing a service in a kind respectful manner - that's what the service industry is all about. Just stopped in on the way home from shopping because we were starving and there wad a parking spot right in front. Great food, inexpensive and nice waitstaff. My husband had the pasta with seafood special which was AMAZING. Very pleasantly surprised how delish it was and how much seafood was in the dish. The shrimp, clams and scallops were delicious. I was definitely a little surprised about the unfortunate experience my boyfriend and I had last night at Pearsall's as it was our first time and we expected better from the past reviews. However, I do want to say the bartenders were excellent and attentive and the owner was very nice and seated us himself. However, once we got to the table it was a little downhill from there. We were at the table in the front and sat there for about 15-20minutes without anyone asking us if we needed a drink or an appetizer, or anything at all actually. The wait to be paid attention to was getting ridiculous so my boyfriend searched and found the waiter himself. He came over and took our food order (we ordered the app and dinner out of hesitance of when we would see him again) and the was the last time we saw him until our dinner was done. We were already at a small table and the fact that our waiter didnt come up to us once to clear our table meant we ate surrounded by garbage. I included a picture right before we received our dinner. I will say the french onion soup was good! But unfortunately my buff chicken sliders were too dry to chew. We also never got asked once how we were doing, and had to get up and go to the bar ourselves to get our drinks which was quick thanks to the bartender being attentive. We would have drank a-lot more if we were paid attention to but oh well. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to coming to this place for a while and unfortunately it was not the best experience. This is our second time here, and both times we had wonderful service from Kelley. First time we were here she was our server, and was the biggest reason we returned. Delightful, friendly, and helpful. And today we walk in and lo and behold, she's tending bar... and she's pretty much the best bartender ever! This place was great! The food was amazing and the drinks were made perfectly. My husband was in the mood for a steak and I found this little gem here on yelp. He ordered the skirt steak and I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with the crab bisque soup. The skirt steak is served with delicious, creamy mashed potatoes and the perfectly crisp green beans. Steak was cooked to order and the marinade was just great!! The bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious and quite jumbo, only thing I didn't like was the lemon jam-like sauce it sat on. The crab bisque soup was INSANE - I have never had anything so good in my life. It was perfectly creamy and soooooooo much crab in every spoonful. Just thinking of it, makes me want a cup! Came here for Brunch yesterday. I made the reservation for 12:30pm for 8 people. We arrived a little early and were seated right away - they had our table already set up. The Brunch deal included unlimited mimosas, screwdrivers and bloody mary's. I personally can't have Orange Juice that our waiter, Brian, was very accommodating with selecting a different beverage. He was a sweetheart the entire time and put up with all of our shenanigans! We also had another person join us for a total of 9 people later on and they gladly pulled up another chair for us. There were about three different brunch group selections for different prices ($15.95-$16.95-$17.95.) The menu had a wide variety of choices like simple eggs, french touch, eggs Benedict, omelettes, to options like burger, salad, steak & eggs, etc. I had the "American Grill" which came with three eggs, 2 slices of french toast and a side of the skillet potatoes. Yum! Few others had omelettes which were huge and delicious. Brian did a great job at making sure everyone's glass were always full! ;) Be aware that the unlimited drinks come to an end when everyone is finished eating. They included an 18% gratuity for groups over 8 people. Brian made us aware that this was included - which I appreciate because some places can be sneaky with that. Let me start by saying that ANY brunch that offers free booze gets atleast 1 1/2 stars from me, lol. With that said, I went with my wife and daughter yesterday for their Sunday Brunch. I ordered a bloody mary, and my wife a mimosa. My wife's drink had a splash of vodka in it, and mine, well, to say the least, probably the worst excuse of a bloody mary I've ever had. The drink came over with no garnish, loaded with black peppercorns and I can't testify to the fact that alcohol was involved because all I tasted was tomato juice with huge peppercorns. The manager overheard my displeasure with the drink, and promptly offered to have the bartender make me a new one, explaining that they use a pre-made mix. Considering this was at 12pm when brunch started, I was a little baffled, but agreed to have the tender make a new one. Still no garnish, a little hint of horseradish, and still, very very light on the pour. We then proceeded to order off the brunch menu. My daughter had French toast off the kids brunch menu ( $8.95 ), my wife the grilled vegetable omelette ( $ 15.95 ) and I ordered the Seafood Newburgh ( $16.95 ). As soon as my food eventually came out, I was extremely disappointed to see imitation crab meat, the tiniest little shrimps imaginable, and a dab of Hollandaise sauce spread over it. My wife's grilled vegetable omelette had a couple of pieces of vegetables in it, and my wife stated that she wasn't even sure it was real eggs ! Our waiter was as attentive as an infant and looked completely clueless throughout the meal, not once checking in on us to see how everything was. He also had the personality of this keyboard in which I'm using to type. This was an absolute disaster of a Sunday Brunch, and an hour of my time I'll never get back. We actually went to another restaurant a little while after because we didn't eat. So, the 1 1/2 stars are for the free watered down booze, and a little time spent with my girls. Other than that, I'd never in a million years recommend this poor example of a brunch to anyone ! read more

Swung through town looking for a decent dining spot for the family. You walk into a bar type area, which was weird, but I think we came in the wrong entrance. Anyway, the staff was very helpful and all outstandingly nice. The plates are huge. Food was decent, not over the top awesome, but perfectly acceptable. This is definitely my go to neighborhood spot. The food is always consistent and great. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken pot pie. I would definitely recommend this place with the exception of going in a large group as the seating area is quite small. A place that you should consider making a regular stop for food and drinks. I know I have for years. A good, if not great, American Pub. A bar that is welcoming and friendly and a restaurant where the food is consistently good. Coldest beers around with a fairly decent amount of drafts on tap as well. Great bar to watch sports year-round, especially during football season. Drink and beer prices are a steal and not overpriced at all. Portions of food are great, specials could use some more variety, but this is the type of place where you don't need to order specials cause of the great variety displayed by the everyday lunch and dinner menu. Sunday brunch is one of the best around and a bargain. Recommend the garden salad, chicken club, wings, quesadillas, French onion soup, grilled penne pasta, and make your own omelette for brunch. Of note as well is the food is just as good for takeout as well. Always a plus. read more

Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! It tends to get busy after 6pm, especially on weekends. It can be loud at times due to being a sports bar, but it's a great place for all ages to enjoy. The staff is polite, including the managers, they are always accommodating. We are seated in a timely manner, no matter how busy it is. Great burgers, specials, and chicken pot pie!! I was a little surprised to read some of the reviews because I've been coming here at least 3 - 4 times a year since the 80s! I think it used to be called Rasputins when I first started coming, then BK Sweeneys and now Pearsalls. This is a comfort place for me. Consistently good service, good pours and solidly good food. I was here three weeks ago with a group of five women for brunch. We were there to celebrate a birthday and although the place became very busy, we never felt rushed and our brunch dishes were absolutely delicious! I also went there yesterday after a shopping trip in the city with a friend. We got off the train at Lynbrook station and walked across the street for a nice relaxing late lunch. We both ordered salads. Mine was called the Picasso pecan and I had it with grilled shrimp. We were served a nice bread basket while we waited for the food and drank generous pours of the house Pinot noir (for me) and Pinot Grigio for my friend. The salads were large and very well composed. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. As we were leaving the place were starting to fill up with early dinner diners. It's a popular local spot. read more
