This place was recommended to us by the boys at Honey Island Swamp Tour. It did not disappoint! The girls behind the counter were super nice with giving us recommendations. We wanted to try crawfish - very good! The seafood platter was good as well, the crab and corn chowder delicious! Every time I come home, I usually eat at the same restaurants because I want to make sure my food is good. I never been here so I was suspect off top. Was recommended to Peck's and ordered a couple lbs of the crawfish and shrimp, with some potatoes and corn on the side. Food was good and restaurant clean but sadly had to leave 2 stars because of shady business practices. It is a counter order place, and they bring your food to your table. When we sat down after ordering, I noticed they automatically added a $10 tip to our check without our approval and no signs notifying of auto adding gratuity. Pretty messed up. My fiancé wouldn't let me notify the manager. Otherwise, I would have. I noticed while leaving that one younger girl was checking people out at the register and flipped the monitor around to the customer on the screen that shows the total and boxes to check if you want to add a tip. The older brunette lady that checked us out only turned around the screen on the total and sign screen which is why we didn't notice the tip on our initial check. This happened Sunday, 7/7/19, around 2 PM in case the manager/owners would like to address this with appropriate employees. We also went back up to order sides, and they tried to do the same thing. We questioned the total this time, and the cashier said she rung in wrong and corrected. read more

Great food. Fantastic service. Great place to stop as we left New Orleans for our last fix of Bayou food. Shrimp was literally falling off of the overstuffed poboys! The service was amazing. Everyone was super sweet and for the price there was an abundance of food. I had ordered the large seafood platter which was $28. The fried duck quesadilla and the fried crab claws. However the batter for all the foods that was fried was Very thick and it had no taste of season. The fried oysters were good it had the oyster taste other than that no season. The fried duck quesadilla was an interesting thing for me to try. I've never eaten duck before I wasn't crazy about it but that's a personal preference for not liking duck. I did like how they had a lot of options on the board. This place says they have boiled seafood, but they only had shrimp, and had crabs and other things on the menu, but they were out of everything. The worker said they never sold dungeon as crabs but they were on both menus, and she stated they were updated. They also didn't have the fried gator bites, but they were also on the menu. The fried platters are okay, you get enough for 3 people on the big platter. Boiled shrimp are good but overpriced. You have to order at counter and they don't like to bring you things when u need them. It is not a place I would go again to have a nice relaxing family dinner. read more

The best restaurant in Slidell! From there premium select Crawfish to the best Grilled Tuna salad. All there fried seafood has just the right amount of batter not over powering the taste of the food. They also have the best French bread. read more

I'm from Oklahoma and I was really excited to have some fresh seafood with a flare of Cajun, I have some likes and dislikes start positive with likes: I wanted to try fried oysters and they were really good me and my husband shared a few items to try different stuff well we got the seafood platter it was 26$, the fish was ok didn't really have much flavor, fried oysters were good, and the shrimp didn't taste fresh very fishy didn't like it at all kinda disappointing considering this close to the gulf, anyway hush puppies were awesome. We also got the spectacular fries which were amazing OMG they had this roast gravy sauce that was very tasty. The gumbo I didn't like at all just not my thing but my husband liked it. The bread pudding is the best I ever had, so sums up to this if you want fresh good seafood don't go there!! read more

A word to the wise;) We have been here several times before, always ordering seafood of some kind and ALWAYS being very satisfied - Had I ordered seafood today, I am sure there would be 5 orange stars on my review, the 2 gray stars is me being generous based on our previous experience. Sadly our choice today was a meatball po'boy. I am sorry to say but that was the worst meatball po'boy I ever had - as my hubby said 'what a waste of good bread!' The portion was very generous, now wondering if it was an attempt to empty the pot! But it is worse - we ordered the cheese fries. The fries were extremely under cooked, still almost white, warm only because they had to melt the cheese and uneatable. $7.99 for a pile of yuck. Customer service was non-existent. While we know this place does not do full table service, we did EXPECT someone to come by to ask if everything was OK, but while there were several workers, no one came around at any time, and no one came up to us at the counter either. My husband and I go to pecks at least 2 to 3 times a week. We love the catfish platter. Cole slaw and tarter sauce are out of this world. He loves the crayfish. And Wednesday is all the catfish you can eat. Can not beat pecks for food service and price. We just love it read more
