Super delicious Cheese Fries with "gravy" and dressing - WOW! I had the Shrimp PoBoy and it was very large which meant that I had a hard time finishing the sandwich. I'm a 200lbs man 6 ft tall so make sure that you bring an appetite. the flavors are delicious and I recommend stopping by. read more

I did not actually get to eat the food. I have a gluten and dairy allergy, and it is very aggravating to go to a restaurant and have them tell you, "We aren't really sure what is in the seasoning, so we just tell everyone we don't have gluten free options." Really? So the owner of the restaurant or the chef can't take the time to read the packages and determine what would be safe and what wouldnt? That is terrible customer service. Perhaps somebody needs to get educated. Bottom line, if you have an allergy, don't bother with this establishment. read more

We just had our lunch here. It was very disappointing, we barely ate any of our food. The bread was nothing special. The shrimp had a taste that was almost chemical to me. The gumbo was bland. The ham and cheese poboy was very off tasting. The fries were cold, greasy, and soggy. The crab kickers were just mushy and blah. All in all this was an extremely disappointing lunch. read more

Took the family to Pecks for dinner, was surprised how good it was. We had the seafood platter, so much food, it was hot and delicious. We also ordered corn and crab soup, also hot and delicious. Sky high prices. At the time I write this, shrimp here are 11.99 per lb boiled. They're 6.99 per lb on Jeff Hwy, where I work. The food is pretty good but the selection of boiled food is limited. The BEST seafood on the North shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Had the oyster po-boy with an order of French fries. Visit Peck's and you won't be disappointed. Great food and fast service. I had the shrimp platter with coleslaw on the side. Portions are huge! There was enough shrimp for two-three people. Shrimp had a good seasoning on it and the coleslaw was sweet. I also tried the alligator bite appetizer...again portions are plentiful. Alligator was tender and the dipping sauce made it even better! Staff was great as well, very friendly. I would gladly eat here again if I'm in the area. read more

The seafood platter comes with your choice of coleslaw, potato salad, or a side salad. We selected coleslaw since a generous portion French fries comes with the meal, as well as four tasty hush puppies. The platter included at least a dozen large, perfectly fried oysters, well over twenty delicious fried shrimp and four pieces of melt-in-your mouth fried catfish. The coleslaw was delicious and the portion size was generous. Also included was a small piece of French bread. The only other thing that could have been included would have been a soft-shell crab or a couple of crab or crawfish boulettes. However, these items were not included and the platter was still more than sufficient. WOULD I ORDER THIS ITEM AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN? We have ordered this item a number of times and will, in all probability, order it again the next time we visit this location. HINT FOR THE PROPRIETOR OF THIS RESTAURANT: None. A good poboy place, their prices are very steep but they do give you a lot of food. I like their boiled shrimp, but their fried seafood taste all the same. I had the crab and corn bisque very bland, and I had no crab or corn in mine just bisque. Avoid the seafood platters not worth it, but go for the poboys the salads or the boiled shrimp. read more

My husband and I are from Kentwood, La and decided to stop by Pecks after a day of shopping which was suggested by a co-worker who seemed to love eating at this place. We are so glad that we chose this place to dine. I have never ever been to a restuarant where there are workers with such great hospitality but with great food as well. Not only is the food so dynamic, they serve you more than you can bargain for. My husband and I both could've eaten from the same seafood platter and still had some to take home. I'm telling you, this is the best seafood restuarant I have ever been to. This was truly an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back again. Wow!!! We have been eating at Pecks ever chance we get when we are down that way and drive from our home, 75 miles, to eat there. Pecks has moved from their old location and has opened up a new, up to date, dine in resturant. Great menue. It is a very nice and a very clean place and suitable for all the family. Now, the main thing that we like is the oyster po boys.... The oyster po boys used to be so full and overflowing with oysters..... Well, then came the oil spill,,,, couldn't get the oysters... so.... no oyster po boys for a while... we kept calling and finally they started getting the oysters po boys again.... But,,,,,,, they are more expensive...... we don't mind the increase in the price of the oyster po boy,,,,,, but,,,,,, they don't put near as many oysters on the po boy as before.... I am not sure if it would over price the po boy so much to put the amount they used to or not but......I guess we just won't be making special trip for the Oyster po boys any more but..... They always are good. I can't speak for anything else but the oyster poboy because we can't ever get past it on the menu.... Now that we are not as pleased with the amount of oysters on the po boy ,,, we might start trying other things........ We love alligator and would love to see them start serving alligator poboys..... Except for the amount of oysters on the poboy not being the OVER FLOWING that we were used to..... it is exceptional flavor and service. I highly recommend it and, remember..... I would rate this a 10 except for the one thing that might not even be something they can help.... I am headed that way tomorrow and will for sure have lunch there read more

the portions are big because the shrimp is for platters not poboy size, they were also breaded heavily and fried hard, the french fries were also hard as nails and i requested more, when my husband said they over cooked them the waitress repied, they were the bottom of the bag...lol what a joke why serve them! especially because we ordered them off appetizer menu wasnt like they were gonna be hidden under a platter! we ate there 8/15/12 after driving an hour there to eat could have eaten at popeyes better shrimp and platter. very overpriced!!! that is our last visit! read more
