Peddler's has such fantastic pizza. The personal pan is currently our go to as it is loaded with topping but has the nice crunchy crust on it as well. We recommend getting a dry rub and sauce on the side with the wings, but they always deliver good food. read more

to show we walked out because of slow service..no food to located right on the square so parking can be an issue but it's worth it ... they have both outdoor and indoor seating so that's not an issue. The drink list is large so you will find a beer or mixed drink of your choice besides the famous pizza they have appetizers, salad and Sandwiches to choose from. Being right down they wehave taken an older building and revamped it but kept the original feel with the brick wall exposed wood ceiling the walls are covered with old photos that take you back in time. Fun little pizza spot in downtown Valpo! We really like this pizza spot. Ambiance is very active with all age patrons young and old. Food is excellent and comes out fast. Tonight was supposed to be a special celebration but instead ended up being a complete disappointment. It is my twins' birthday, and to celebrate their special day we decided to try a couple pizzas from Peddlers Pub here in our city. Unfortunately, the pizzas were not close to being a favorite. We all looked forward to the food given the good reviews and my daughter's recent field trip experience here. We wanted to support and try a new pizza place so this was the restaurant of choice of the birthday girls. One of the pizzas was supposed to be sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers. Whoever was in charge of putting on the toppings missed four slices completely. The second pizza that was sausage and pepperoni was not fresh at all. The cheese was completely stiff with no pull and the pepperoni were dry. It was clear they weren't freshly made pizzas. The order was placed at 8:12 p.m. and it's estimated done time was between 8:57-9:12 p.m. We got notified it was actually done in 24 MINUTES on a busy Saturday night, which includes an order of a special pizza!! I guess I could go on and on, but I won't. I found myself apologizing to my daughters' for a ruined birthday dinner. We will just stick to the restaurants that make their pizzas with love and pride. read more

I want to start by prefacing that this review is a complex. I want to start with our server, she has been amazing!! Great attitude, checked in enough but not so much it was annoying. Let's get to the hard part. The food. We probably waited for 30 minutes for our salads, another 15 for the breadsticks when we ordered the knots, the mojito I ordered has no mint and tastes like pineapple, the Alfredo sauce with the breadsticks was not warmed up and came out solid so you had to scoop it, you couldn't dip, then after waiting a good 45 minutes for our pizza, our first bites are from a cold pizza. The bar does look super warm and welcoming, I love the ambiance. However, tonight was an off night for them. Not normal for this place. And that's why I'm saying three stars. We have been here before and loved the full experience, everyone has an off night. To their credit they did have two larger parties while we were here. I don't know where the fall happened in the kitchen. Either staffing or management. (Staffing falls on management.) We hope for a better experience on our next visit. We hope we get the same waitress! She was very professional and owned the suck! She was very polite and never needed a manager to back her. She said "I'll take care of you and I'm so sorry." We do like Peddler's Pizza. They have a nice sized beer menu and switch it up often enough we keep coming back to try more. Staff is hit or miss. Some really nice ones here we like to get over and over though. The food is good. We' were in Valpo to ice skate and ended up here. Really great food and service. The Stix are a must have and the pizza is excellent as well. We came in with a large party (half kids) and they were able to get us all seated right away. All the servers were super friendly and helpful and our server in particular (Hannah) was the best! I don't like to leave bad reviews but other visitors in town should be warned not to bother here. In town visiting and dropped in for lunch. We were promptly greeted and seated and ordered our drinks, then things took a downturn. Husband ordered tea with lemon; I ordered a Sprite: the lemon slice was smashed and brown, and my Sprite was completely flat and tasted like whatever drink had been in it before (aka, a dirty glass). We both ordered the special pizza (taco) on cauliflower crusts. We waited...and waited...our server passed by our table half a dozen times and didn't check on us or speak to us at all. There were maybe 5 other tables of customers there, so it was pretty dead and she wasn't busy. I heard another server across the room tell her customers that it was taking a little longer for the pizzas to come out, so at least I knew at that point that there was a kitchen issue. Don't know why our server didn't do the same. 40 min after ordering our pizzas arrived. They were just okay and didn't make up for the poor service and dirty glass. Peddlers is an ok restaurant. The food was good. However, they have the same type of food (Greek/Italian) at Amici's down the street on Lincolnway East that is less expensive and tastes better! Peddlers had good Greek pizza. We enjoyed the salad. read more
