I got a drip coffee at about 5:15 this evening and it was room temperature! How can you even do that? Totally unsatisfactory. Wow!

It was loaded with what tasted like fresh potatoes, spinach and veggies and loved that it was NOT drowning in cheese. I personally thanked the chef as it was probably one of the best breakfast burritos I have eaten in a long time. Not sure where the cranberry orange muffin came from and my vanilla latte with oat milk both were perfect. The young ladies who work the front are so friendly and welcoming. Very , very nice staff. And I really love the somewhat hidden way location with the (small) but welcoming front patio . Absolutely worth the drive or stop by if you are in Verdi. My only "disappointment" is that they do have fairly limited hours - even on the weekend.

The sugar free vanilla latte is was meh, got the job done. I don't expect spectacular when I order that drink. The Black Forest has some real potential if ordered with regular milk and hot. We also ordered a danish which was warmed up and delicious. The staff were super friendly. I would likely say it took a touch bit too long but it was nice to rest our legs. We sat outside. There is a bike rack. Would I come back again, yes. Would I go out of my way to stop by, hmm probs not.

One of the coolest parts is being able to see them roast the coffee, it's very unique and almost feels like you're in a science lab. They also have a great selection of merch and coffee bean bags available for purchase with unique notes. One tip: Since the space is small, the cold comes in when the door opens. Bring a sweater if you get cold easily. I know I do. Overall, a great spot for coffee lovers who enjoy a quieter, behind-the-scenes vibe . Side note: My go to is always a hot Americano to get a taste of the coffee. It was delicious. I also enjoy their herbal tea. It comes in a light bulb . Super unique.

My plate had a generous 4 pieces of nicely batted fish and the fries were great. My wife's burger looked great too. We both said we'd come back again. The ambiance is kind of hole-in-the-wall with a focus on big foot, of course. I liked it. Eclectic but cool. Service was great and i ordered fish tacos and side of onion rings. There were many good things i saw on the menu but wanted a little lighter lunch and ordered fish. The fish was good with a light batter but the taco garnish didn't fit the bill. There was way too much pico and white sauce, with not a lot of flavor. But the big detractor was the layer of cheddar cheese on the bottom. Cheese, in general, does not pair well with fish but definitely not a yellow cheese. The strong cheese taste overpowered the fish. I think they need to alter their tacos based on the protein. The heavy cheese and pico might work with chicken or pork but a more citrus based slaw is needed for fish. The helping of three tacos was generous and i did finish it but by the end i had to scrape the cheese and most of the pico out. The onion rings were a soft and heavy batter. I prefer a very light batter that crisps up in the fryer so i left half the order uneaten. I would not order the fish tacos again and would probably pivot to fish n chips. That said i will visit again and try some of the other menu items that looked really good to me. That will likely improve this rating.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated as if we were inconveniencing them by asking for a table. We were totally agreeable and ok with a table or the bar. After about 10 minutes, we were directed to the bar where there was one seat for two of us and the gal with the green shirt that was from somewhere in South Carolina promised to get us another stool. We went to where we were shown to go. Another couple at the bar mentioned someone had taken the stool that belonged where we were. We ordered two drinks, Jameson on the rocks and a Grey Goose or Tito's Lemondrop. $14 for the lemondrop that couldn't have had a shot of vodka in it. I'm not sure it had any in it because it tasted like lemon juice and Cointreau. The single shot of Jameson on the rocks was $12.25. There were 3 local guys who appeared to be finishing up on the other side of the couple next to us that were standing and leaning on empty stools. I asked them if we could have one of the stools and one of the guys jokingly told me not to yell at him. We laughed and he said he was leaving anyway, but the bartender told him not to give us the stool. The bartender brought us our drinks and we patiently waited for a stool, but decided if we finished our drinks and hadn't received menus or a stool that we'd find a different spot. The food smelled good and the few people eating seemed to be enjoying it. After a bit longer we were asked if we wanted to move to a table when one came open. We should have said yes, but we were trying to be easy and agreeable as they seemed overwhelmed, even though there were two empty dirty tables and the three spots at the bar where the local guys were bullshitting and leaning on the back of the empty stools, so we said we would stay at the bar. We still had not been offered menus or the 2nd stool we were told was coming. After another short while, a couple at the end of the bar left and the bartender asked us if we wanted to move into those spots. We moved and ordered another Jameson on the rocks. We found a menu that another patron had left and decided we would order if asked before we finished our cocktails. The bartender gave us the 2nd Jameson on the rocks, but never asked us if we wanted to order even though she knew we came for dinner. We finished our drinks and asked the lady in the green shirt with South Carolina on it if we could have our bill because we had already been there more than 50 minutes while feeling like we may have never been asked what we wanted to eat. We finally got our bill of $38.50 for a terrible lemondrop and two shots of Jameson on the rocks. We left hangry and irritated that we never got to taste the food we were smelling. I've heard good things and had a nice Mother's Day there last year, but I won't go back unless I'm with a recognized local as they seemed to be the only patrons receiving food. Obviously, by the length of this review, that I'm very disappointed and hope the staff will take into account how they made good paying patrons feel. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time. If management cares enough to check the receipts, we were there 4/17/26 and left between 6:30 and 7pm.

The house this was very nice and our waitress showed up in no time .The menu had quite a bit of everything on it. It had a great choices for breakfast lunch and dinner all in one menu. My wife had what was called the four deuces pancakes, two sausage, two bacon eggs and she said it was all very good. I went with the chicken fried steak. I read a couple of reviews where they said their chicken fried steak was overcooked in things. Mine wasn't. Mine was very good. The gravy was good. I substituted the bread for a biscuit and upgraded for $1.99 and got the gravy. It was all super yummy. The bacon could've used some work from my wife's plate lol but other than that, everything was super good. The reason that I didn't give it a five star is because it was extremely pricey four dollars for a drink and $15 for a breakfast like this is quite high. If you're hungry and headed out of town, this is a place to stop or there's a couple other ones over by Boomtown Casino.
