I got a drip coffee at about 5:15 this evening and it was room temperature! How can you even do that? Totally unsatisfactory. Wow!

Two young ladies behind the counter were engaged in conversation. That appeared to be more important than greeting me and asking for my order. Anyway, I just needed regular brewed drip coffee for my wife. None was ready at 9 AM. We waited for it to be brewed. I also requested a Peet's dark roast coffee. It's the first time I've had Peet's that it tasted old and reheated. I needed some half and half because the carafe was almost empty and I wanted some fresh cream, so I approached the counter again. Megan, why did you ask me to fetch the carafe so you could fill it? Couldn't you have simply added some half and half to my coffee or given me a small side? I love Boomtown and I love Peet's coffee in the morning, but this was a poor experience. read more

I purchased an Americana with 2 pumps and cream. Very unpleased; to find out that it was just Americana. I also ordered 2 Havana Cappuccino's it was just coffee with cinnamon no condensed milk like it stated. I paid good money for these and to get them wrong after reading my order back is not acceptable. We were just visiting. Thanks for nothing! read more

Service was very slow. No actual Peet's bakery items available, but you can get a Costco muffin. We ordered a vanilla latte and chai latte. The vanilla tasted like steamed milk. The chai tasted like it has coffee in it. They were so hot, it took awhile to taste it. We threw them away. read more

On the road and in need of coffee. Saw the reviews and wasn't thrilled about stopping here, but my coffee need was greater. Pete's is inside the casino (south side of building) & the service we got along with our coffee drinks were great! Thought a more recent review and pic will help other passersby in need of coffee. I love peets this review had nothing to do with Peet's or with any of the other employees who are always nice and attentive. But last night I came to get 3 coffees and there was no one at the front. Finally the employee came out took my order I repeated my order 3 times. The hot coffees were cold and he just seemed out of it. He wasn't wearing his name tag and then he made a comment that made me feel uncomfortable. He said he had been at work all day and no one had left him a tip. First off that is not a comment a customer wants to hear. I left feeling so uncomfortable. I hope management speaks to this employee who I later found out his name is Max. read more

Peet's coffee has excellent service, the guy who helped us out was fantastic at explaining all the different vegan options of coffee drinks to us. The bonus about Peet's over other coffee places is that they do not use milk powders in their drinks or mixes, so even their chocolate is considered vegan. Heck yes vegan mochas!! The downside is that we paid $14 plus a $2 tip ($16 total) for two coffees! We ordered the dairy free (made with coconut milk) pumpkin spice lattes, one in medium size and one in large. This is very expensive, and while we appreciate they have all the options for us, we won't be here weekly and definitely not daily! Also, yelp only shows three locations in Reno but there are Peet's located inside every raleys grocery store, so save yourself the trip to Boomtown or the airport, and go to Raleys for your expensive coffee fix! read more

Walk in, it's 8:30 am, PRIME TIME for any coffee shop. 3 girls working behind the counter, 1 mgr, 1 taking orders and making espresso, 1 doing support. 1 lady in front of me already ordered and NO line. waiting about 4 minutes for them to get her 3 pastries. why don't you move her to the side and take another order? Oh yeah, because it's no rush and everyone's laxidaisical here. What can I order let's see 2 small coffees with Cream and Sugar since there's no help yourself under COVID. Hey do you have the Brown Sugar? Yes. Okay Let me get that please. She rings me up and says to the helper, 2 medium coffees with cream and sugar! Okay Strike 1. It was 2 smalls. I say screw it, I'll take the mediums fine. F'ing 11 dollars for 2 medium coffees??!! Do they come with Kalua or something?? Screw it it's a Casino so I'm paying Casino rates here. Tip a buck and now it's $12. Should've skipped the tip. The lady in front of me wants to know where her other drink is. Strike 2!! They say she only paid for 1 and didn't order the other. Who's in the wrong here just a guess . . . it's the lame ass staff. I try and laugh at the stupidity as the girl passes me the coffees with the bag of supplies. I look in the bag and hey it's white sugar. Strike 3!! Now I'm not laughing I'm just frustrated by dumb people. Hey I asked for the brown sugar. Oh sorry here you go, bam I've got the prior requested brown sugar. Um hey there girlie, how the F am I supposed to stir my cream and sugar?? So the bag came with 4 creams, white sugar and no stirs . . . for a to go order. STRIKE 4!!! How many times can you screw an order in 10 minutes?? I mean really, your job is to make frigging coffee here. How are going to perform in a real job if you can't get a cup of coffee right and it's the only job you have to do?? YEEEESSSHHHHH. I don't know if it's just this location but the mocha Freddo has the thick consistency of ice cream! I totally loved (my sister's) mocha Freddo! Service at this Peet's is actually good. I've ordered from here at least twice. Both employees I've come into contact with were pleasant and helpful. The first time I ordered a decaf coffee the barista said they didn't have anymore (since it was evening) but made me a decaf Americano for the cheaper price of a decaf coffee =] During my second time there I witnessed the interaction between the employee and two customers who seemed to take forever deciding which pastries/chips to get and I'm assuming they were asking the worker the prices. I stood in line patiently and noticed that even though the worker looked slightly bored she answered the customers' questions thoroughly and was genuinely smiling along with those same customers as they ended the transaction. This made me feel more assured that my transaction was going to be pleasant. This was also the time when I got the mocha Freddo that awesomely tasted like ice cream. I do hope the service will be the same when I go back to Boomtown's Peet's. FYI the wifi here is better than anywhere else in the hotel. read more

For those who are looking for authentic Peet's coffee offerings and quality, this is not the place. This is The Boomtown's casino franchise. No Italian made Marzocco espresso machine - the hallmark of Peets - just a little R2D2 unit the barista presses a button. They don't even offer ceramic for here cups. My barista wanted to pour my hot espresso into a plastic to go cup? It's inside the casino. And Apple maps will have you park on the opposite side of the property to force you to walk through it. I rarely ever write reviews, but I simply had to on this occasion. You have an AMAZING barista on your hands. JULIA made our night when we arrived at Boomtown. My best friend and I had driven from Santa Cruz to celebrate her birthday in Reno. We wanted to stop at Boomtown for the first night, and were excited to get there and hit the seafood buffet. Unfortunately, we got caught on Donner Pass and had to get chains. We were stuck there for hours and when we finally arrived at Boomtown, nothing was open. We finally saw that Peets Coffee was still open, and we went there. We were so sad to have missed the buffet, but Julia was SO sweet and accommodating. And she really knew her stuff when it came to the drinks. Fabulous customer service all the way around. She helped us pick out sandwiches and by the end of it, we had smiles on our faces and a little meal to take up to our rooms. THANK YOU JULIA! You saved our vacation! :) read more

First thing to know is this Peet's is run and located in the casino. It does not take gift cards or coupons/promotions. The actual Pumpkin Spice Latte I ordered was well made, hot, and delicious. The service was just okay. I could tell the girl working there did like her job. I was traveling through the area and there is slim pickens for Peet's in the Reno area, If I was going near South Lake Tahoe I would of went to that one, which is great. read more

Only getting one star for this location and I didn't even get any coffee. The staff here is probably great but I have no idea since this like several other Peets in a casino, airport or grocery store DO NOT ACCEPT GIFT CARDS! Peet's is not near as convenient as a Starbucks or any other coffee establishment so to limit the use of gift cards is pretty lame. I will never purchase a gift card for Peet's ever again! No gifts for friends or family for Christmas or any other occasion. I won't be purchasing your bags of coffee or keurig pods anywhere while out shopping. Your locations are few and far between and even more so with your partner locations. Very sad for Peet's but a WIN for Starbucks and various local coffee shops. read more

Ok yes, the prices are higher than a normal Peet's, but you are in a casino. I found it refreshing that this area didn't have cigarette smoke. They also had the tea coolers and I really enjoyed my Pomegranate Berry Tea Cooler. read more

i haven't yelped in a while....but for this experience, i'll make an exception and come back to warn other would-be-yelp-victims. overlooking the severely inflated prices of buying coffee in the middle of nowhere, and being completely underwhelmed by a sad and flat latte because incorporating air into milk was too challenging from the day before......this is a story about one barista's inability to pour a small sized coffee into a medium sized cup. i'm not a princess with a coffee order a mile long...all i asked for was a small house coffee in a medium sized cup. not exactly rocket science. i've never had an issue until visiting this "peets" franchise. between you and me, i think they stole the sign from somewhere to lure in the coffee desperate. now i've drank my fair share of coffee to know when something doesn't feel right...like when a medium sized cup is only HALF full. i promptly returned to the front counter politely requesting an actual "small" amount of coffee. now for best part, the lady pours the pathetic amount of coffee into an actual small cup TO MEASURE IT (i kid you not). upon seeing how ridiculously little coffee she had given me, she pours it back into the original cup and adds more coffee to it, returning it without so much as an acknowledgment of the screwup. jee, thanks lady. makes me feel dumb for going out of my way to find a peets instead of stopping at one of the hundreds of starbucks i passed at every stop on the freeway. read more

This is a perfectly good Peet's. Coffee is standard Peet's fare (yummy). Are the prices higher than a standard Peet's? Sure, they're prices are a little bit higher, but its in a freaking casino catering to a captive audience. if a few extra cents sends you into a tizzy, then you probably shouldn't be in a casino in the first place!! The same goes for the atmosphere. Of course it feels like you're in a casino, because you ARE! If you don't like casinos, don't go into them. Duh! read more

Had better cups of coffee at other Peets but this one sucks big hairy donkey balls. That first drink made me gag as I felt it slide down my throat like a avalanche of diarrhea. I just had the best muffin and fresh brewed coffee at Pete's in Boomtown... The service was great and the workers were so nice!!

My wife and I have been a Starbucks addicts for years! But since we visited Boomtown - Reno today, we saw Peete's Coffee with Javiva sign so we thought we'd give it a shot. We got in line. I was just being friendly to the barista (African American Lady) and asked her which among the three Javiva flavors taste good. She said "all of them!" I understand she was the only barista there so she's too busy making the drinks by herself; she was also too busy to interact with us (as part of her customer service). She rudely and sarcastically said "I'll be right with you in a second!" and did not respond any further to our questions regarding the drink. As we waited for our turn, she slid the drink on the table bar and spilt the drink of another customer all over the place. She was very apologetic about what happened because the customer is also an African American like her. So we walked out! We were very disappointed! Peete, I think you need to be more meticulous in hiring your staff! Make sure they are skilled in handling your business and superb @ customer service! I get way better customer service at every Starbucks I go to. Very very VERY disappointed I cannot emphasize that enough! read more
