We heard that Peets has holiday drinks and we wanted to try them. The nearest Peet's in Oakley is the one in Brentwood The place is in a commercial center with several eateries and a supermarket. So depending on the time, you have to park within walking distance. The place is neat and has a lot of tables and chairs for dining in. I ordered their holiday drink, the Dubai Style Chocolate Matcha―a dreamy blend of pistachio flavor, chocolate, and a matcha foam cream top. Usually it comes cold but they were able to make a hot cup for me. I also ordered their Almond croissant. Since it's in the morning, we have to wait for our order to be called. The coffee tasted more like a hot mocha. Maybe the cold drink will taste different with the matcha foam. I enjoy the drink though with a pastry of croissant. I might come back again and try the holiday latte. read more

Stopped by this Peet's yesterday morning. The coffee was great and most of the staff were friendly. However, the new layout is confusing. We stood where the line used to be before the renovation, and the woman at the register could have explained it more nicely. Some clear signs or arrows showing where the line starts would really help. Good coffee, just needs better communication. read more

My favorite tea spot in the area. Peet's feels diverse and neighborhoody. This is a place to gather and be social. The vibe is always poppin when I go in. The baristas are the best! They also play great music. They make great drinks and are always well dressed and groomed, sweet and professional. I'm really grateful for the service they provide in our community. And I hope they realize how important they are. They are so much more than baristas- they are facilitators of quality connection in a very isolated community. Peet's is one of the businesses I recognize for customer service and product excellence in the community. 1/13/26 - I just stopped by my local Peet's Coffee place to get my usual(for years) one pound of Peet's French Roast Decaf coffee. I'm told by the clerk that this location no longer is receiving coffee beans to sell! Also, they have not been informed why! I'm not sure what is going on with the newly purchased company (I've read that Keurig Dr Pepper is closing on the purchase this month, January 2026 for 18 billion). However, no more coffee beans to buy at the Antioch store. Go figure.... read more

Came here with my wife for my oldest adult son's birthday, six of us all told. Peet's was pretty empty at the time, and our orders we're quickly filled, all perfectly. Service was friendly and courteous, no complaints. Everyone loved their coffee, and the two pastries were excellent also. We pulled a few tables together and had a fine time! Lots of seating inside, well spaced, and a number of outdoor tables as well. Great location amidst all the area shops - a good Peet's. read more

I was there on Sunday to get a coffee. One person was waiting before me. I was waiting and employee (woman with long grey hair) shouted out loud at me that to go to another register to wait. I thought she was going to help me at that register. I was waiting and waiting no one came to help me. People came after me was getting helped. I was very mad and I left without ordering a coffee. Very unpleasant experience this morning with the cashier named Amanda and a costumer. After the costumer complained with gestures and all that my husband and I were standing on the other side of the counter that's in the middle filled with merchandise. He told her we were standing on the "wrong" side and she responded "I just have to keep training them" mind you there was no one else in line we were not on the way of no one else not blocking at all AND we were looking at the menu. We were not ready to order.. I don't know why the customer had an issue with us standing there but what really bothered me was her response so when we were ready to order we went up I asked her what the issue was and she responded and pointed "the line starts there" with an attitude like ok.. I responded we haven't been here in a while and I don't see any signs that show where the line starts plus we weren't ready to order, laughed it off and made my order. I'm generally a fan of Peet's Coffee and will give it a chance if it's convenient. I stopped by here after my Sunday morning grocery shopping and apparently so did the rest of Brentwood/Antioch. The staff were definitely hustling but were saddled with several large Door Dash orders. They were genuinely all doing their best but were quite obviously harried. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for my drink- not the end of the world but also not how I want to spend a morning off. Quality is solid and they have a really good oat milk cold brew but wait times are just more than I'm willing to deal with. If I went to Peet's often (which I don't) I'd order ahead on the app. There seemed to be a lot of folks who did that. I always get the same thing. I've never had an issue besides the wrong straw because I get the brown sugar jellies in my cold brew. Sometimes I get a regular straw instead of a wide straw. But that wasn't the issue. I always order the brown sugar cold brew oat latte with brown sugar jellies. To my surprise what arrived was only oat milk and sweetener. I wasn't able to drive to the store to resolve it so I made 2 k-cup espresso shots and added them to the sweetened oat milk. Safe to say I won't be ordering from here for a while. read more

Back at it again... we are regulars here because the service is great and everyone here knows our drinks to the T!! Peet's Coffee makes the best Black Widow drink... Half Iced Black Tea and Half iced black coffee w/sugar free vanilla. My hubby and I get the same orders during the summer time and this is always it. Their brew is perfect on the coffee and you can literally taste the great flavor of black tea as well. If you haven't tried it... then you need to. The staff had also tried this mix of drinks and love it. They usually get busy here on the weekends because Peet's is very popular for their great taste in coffee and teas! They also have really cool things to purchase like their new Peet's Beanies, mugs, shirts, bags, kcups and espresso pods. I recommend trying their seasonal drinks because Pumpkin Latte and Honey Harvest Lattes are back... yummy and also the I ed pumpkin Chai latte!! Placed a mobile order. Used the restroom. Order was waiting when I came out. Mocha? Check. Large? Check. Whole Milk? Probably. Little Ice? Check. Whipped Cream. Nope. I returned to the pick-up counter and waited as the barista finished one order and started the next, completely ignoring me. Another employee, probably coming to help the barista ignored me as well. A third employee, apparently on her way to the back asked if she could help me. I showed her my drink and told her that it was missing it's crowning glory. I JUST ordered 2 coffees and 2 pastries and miss girl absolutely hated me for it... they didn't warm my food even though I said "yes please" when they asked if I wanted it warmed up. My hot coffee wasn't hot, and my iced coffee was 2/3 ice so... like 5 sips. They suck and there were stray lash extensions stuck on the lids of my cups. read more

Plain and simple, some staff here is great but the manager "Big Red" on the name tag has got to be the rudest most terrible barista on the planet of baristas. Don't bother sending feedback to Peet's either, they'll give you a free cup of coffee for you to go back to the same issue. Come on Peet's, do better! Peet's used to be my favorite coffee place. Love the taste of coffee in my cup of coffee. Gave this location ONE YEAR to make it right. To the point of placing my order in person to make sure the right barista was on shift. When you order an $8 cup of coffee you expect $8 dollar quality. At least. My favorite barista is amazing, if you get her on shift. Super friendly and the best barista there. She doesn't wear a name tag but if I'm not mistaken, her name is Hailey. Possibly. Unless she's on shift my orders aren't made properly. Caffeinated when I ask for decaf - I have allergy to caffeine due to chemo drugs. Full foam when I ask for no foam. It's like they don't even read the order. They glance, and hope it's what they read (crossing fingers and closing eyes). Don't bother complaining or asking for a remake, they'll just "add more milk or coffee or sweeteners to make it work". They're supposed to remake your drink, mind you. Mind blowing horrible excuse for a Peet's location. Take your money someplace else. I've just gone down the street to Paris Baguette. A bit more pricey and a little longer wait but at least they get the order correctly. I was not an occasional customer, ordered daily if not every other day. They lost my business for good. They don't stay open past 5:30 on Sundays. Not having enough customers I've heard before. They should try staying open more so people know they are open. But the worst for me is no DoorDash delivery, all they are doing is making the drink. DoorDash just picks the drink up. It's 2021 and we're still in covid and the East Bay is growing out to its farther East to Oakley and Brentwood. It would just be nice to be able to order Peet's Coffee on any day , especially Sunday mornings. Through DoorDash. Because driving 9 miles is not always in the mindset. So DoorDash, Uber , etc delivery should always be available. FYI- I grew up on Peet's when Claremont was it. And my parents kept Peet's as a coffee specialty. read more

My experience at this Peet's has been varied. When I worked in Antioch a few years ago, it was a good place to take a break during the week when I was working in the field. The workers are usually kind enough. These days, I take my elderly mom there on weekends because she likes Peet's, and it's the closest to where she lives. However, it is the most poorly managed Peet's around. And I've gone to just about every Peet's in the East Bay. Here are some of the issues that I have found challenging: * Short staffed. I went there yesterday and only 2 people were working on a Saturday afternoon, the barista and the cashier. With one person ahead of me, it took about 10 minutes for the line to move, and another 20 minutes to get my order. Additionally, there was no opportunity to clean and restock as I've pointed out in the photo. * Cleaning and restocking seems to be a problem on weekends even when they are not short staffed. I have made them aware of the need to put out lids, creamer, etc. on a few occasions. * On one occasion, a group of about 3 workers were just chatting up a storm and not working. The barista was clearly frustrated and asked, "Am I the only one who sees this as problematic?" I felt his pain. They clearly were not there to work, and it was busy. * If tables are available, I usually end up cleaning it myself. Unfortunately, this is the only Peet's in that area. I guess they get to be sloppy if only for that reason. read more

Bad customer service On July 7/20/24 at 10:33am Order 20064 I placed my order and waited 30 min for my order. I stood up 3 different times to check for my order. It was busy, and I was trying not to pressure them for my two drinks. 30 minutes later, I asked for them, and they told me that my drinks were there the entire time. I asked to speak to the manager, and a barista named Alex came. She told me that she called for my order multiple and different times... Let me assure you, SHE DIDN'T!!! I asked her to remake my drinks. "I don't like my drinks melted." She refused to make them ( I asked her about 5 times ), and she refused. She went to the back and had me waiting for an extra 5 minutes. Another person came out, and she claimed to be in charge (I ask for the manager from the beginning, who was Alex than). When I asked to speak to the manager, that's who I wanted to speak to ( not a person impersonating the manager). When Bri ( the person claiming was in charge) came out with a full arrogant attitude, interrupted me when I was explaining (she didn't care for what I had to say) she told me Alex had informed her of the entire situation. She didn't solve anything for me. Well, let me explain something. I have worked in retail and customer service for the last 18 years. Issue could easily be solved by remaking my drinks ( I waited 30 minutes). My time is valuable and very important. 2. The attitude from the stuff is absolutely unacceptable, and it's a disgrace that you have people like them working for a great company like Peets. Employees like them derogate your brand, and you will loose costumers for that time of service. read more
