I was here for a quick bite. There was no line so I was able to order vanilla latte and almond croissant. The lady was kind enough to ask if the croissant needs to be warmed which I did ask for. Within no time I was given the almond croissant warmed in a paper bag and shortly the vanilla latte was ready as well. The staff is really friendly and polite. There were a lot of customers seated and enjoying their beverages and food. One can see seniors to teenagers at this place. A good vibe in the atmosphere. The best place to get a cup of coffee to study or chat with friends. They recently remodeled the place so it looks nicer than it used to be. But seats can be a bit difficult to find. The price and the quality of coffee is unbeatable. And you cannot find a better place than Peet's around this area. If you are planning on becoming regulars then think about purchasing the gift cards from Costco. The service is OK. The staff is generally quiet end which I prefer. First time I came to this store to order my usual drink which is the Iced Mocha Latte with almond milk. The drink tasted like a bland chocolate milk. Can't even taste the expresso ( maybe Barnstable forgot to put it in ). Second time, figure give the store another chance, it was soooooo HORRIBLE, I threw the drink away. Both times I had already driven away to head to work so there was no chance of going back to complain about it. The Los Gatos store makes a pretty good Ice Mocha Latte. Service . I usually order my coffee on the app because I'm a rideshare driver. My closest Peet's coffee is in Fremont I live in Newark and I drive about 15 just to get a coffee . I usually pass about 3-4 Starbucks but I prefer how Peet's coffee tastes that I don't care about driving to this location. While on my way I always order through the app so my order can be ready when I get there . For some reason the app always tells me before I get to the coffee shop that my order is ready but is never available. I always wait at least 2-3 minutes before I see it . I don't say anything when I know they are busy . Unfortunately today 12/12/24 I ordered myself and my wife coffees through the app like always . Because we're in a date night. I ordered my coffee when I was 10 minutes away and before I got to the store the app told me that my order was ready . I went into the store and I saw a couple of people waiting for their uber/dash order and I saw Jonathan (employee) just talking and talking to their co workers while slowly bagging orders for them . Right next to him was a coffee cup that I had a feeling it was for me . So I kept waiting about 5 minutes and I saw a lady waiting for her uber order all desperate because Jonathan was more busy talking to his co worker than caring about what he was doing . Finally after two minutes he gave this lady his order and asked his co worker for my second item and he replied oh sorry I deleted the order because it was done already . So Jonathan instead of paying attention of what he was doing he gave my order to one of the other people. When I heard this I got angry because I was in a hurry and Jonathan instead of apologizing for the mistake he told me that if I was in a hurry he could give me a refund. I replied no just do your job and finish my order like your app told me that it was done before I got in here 10 minutes ago. So he turned around and told me just take this coffee and I will refund your order one and leave . And I told him if you work the same way you talked you will be more efficient and I left . Still waiting on my refund . Horrible service. I hope he's not a manager. read more

First time trying Peet's and I would say it was okay. I ordered the Brown Sugar Cold Brew Latte which was super super sweet. The brown sugar syrup got collected on the bottom which made each sip super sweet since it was not combining well with the rest of the drink. Probably would not be getting this again but for the sweet lovers you might enjoy this drink. Inside was okay as well. There were not that many seats to choose from and the tables are super small. Came in with a friend and we could only fit one laptop onto the table. We ended up combining two tables together in order to sit side by side. read more

As always GREAT coffee!! Came in after the renovation ( grand opening weekend of November 22) Basically they extended the coffee bar area & they ended up closing the automatic doors and replaced them with a set of windows. Nice renovation but whoever worked on this layout killed the flow of this location. The cashier area becomes seriously bottlenecked & encroached the pick up location! We saw the garage being wheeled out & the person had to ask seated customers to make way for the bins... on their return with the empty garbage bins they had to ask the customers waiting in the order line to make way so that the bins could be returned to their back storage area. The seats are padded, larger & deeper. From a comfort level the depth diminishes it. The older non padded seats worked much better. The added a long shared bench table & that seems 'fine'. Decorations on the walls (photo collage of people sipping/ enjoying coffee) makes the shop look blocky. The homey feel seems to be lost. Good thing the coffee still hits the spot! Money spent on this renovation...but I'm not sure this was worth the outlay. read more

Ok, (I admit) I refused to like Peet's due to my unwavering loyalty to Starbucks but I can't deny a good cup of coffee when I have one! I'd tried to like Peet's as they opened in Fremont years ago. My very first order was a blended mocha which I wasn't too fond of. After that, I never really bothered to sample any of their other drinks due to a poor first impression. Fast forward to what... Five? Eight years later? I can't recall when they first opened but my husband happened to give me a Peet's gift card since it's located so close to where I work. Confused as to why he simply said, 'just try it'. And what kind of person am I to turn down free coffee? I'm an addict... and I know what I like! For the last 5 or so years I've been pretty consistent with my preferred beverage - a small iced nonfat vanilla latte (with extra ice). Between my beloved Starbucks and Peet's .... Peet's makes it better. Not sure if it has something to do with the blend of coffee itself (which I'm sure it does) or the vanilla syrup they're using (and I'm wondering if it's sugar free). I know that Starbucks uses a sugar free when I order a 'skinny' vanilla and the amount of calories for this drink between the two purveyors is about 70 cals. Which leaves to assume that Peet's isn't using a sugar free syrup. Starbucks = 100 calories (for 12oz) \ Peet's = 170 calories (12oz) Ok, calories aside. Perhaps next time I can ask the barista for a sugar free syrup if it's available. All in all, as far as flavor and quality - Peet's has outdone Starbucks when it comes to my Vanilla Latte. I do want to try their golden chai latte though! They add turmeric and ginger??? Hmmm.. sounds interesting. I need to open new doors when it comes to drink choices. Literally saw spit drop into a ladies drink and quite a bit of it spilt on his hand from moving so much from laughing and still served it to her instead of remaking or adding more. I placed a online order for 55 drinks for work. I arrived to pick up my orders 30 minutes ahead of the time that I gave to have the orders ready. With this large of an order it is recommended from the store Manager Jonathan to talk to a Manager the prior day and place the order over the phone. I will make sure to do this next time since their online system doesn't print out the order labels until about 5 minutes before the pick up. Jonathan worked with me to get the order to me correctly. Went with husband Friday morning 7 am to grab cup of coffee. Being 8 months pregnant calls for lots of potty breaks. The bathroom was beyond dirty and gross. Early in the morning you would think they'll clean their restrooms , or atleast at night have a janitorial service clean, but NO, it seemed like bathroom hasn't been cleaned in days, the water was left on in the sink, pee in the toilet, poop spots all over the toilet seat. You would think they'd check for cleanliness when they open up in the morning but NO. Such a big coffee chain and so dirty oh by the way they have separate restrooms for employees so they probably don't care about the customer's restrooms. Shame on the staff , there were probably 8 employees working there but no one thought of checking the restrooms when they come. Gross gross gross! Such a great place to study, anytime of day. They have a great outdoor area with plenty of seats and table. Plus many more indoors for those who want to stay inside. The coffee is also quite exquisite. I usually don't go to Peets but I'm sure glad I gave them a try. I'm very happy with my drink (customized) and the overall taste of the coffee. Jonathan was the most rudest, sassiest, sarcastic barista I've ever experienced. I drive for Uber and Lyft and I drink coffee at this location every single day and I purchased my coffee online through the app so that it is ready by the time I get there. Today I I purchased my coffee at 8:45 and it said that it would be ready by 9:15. My coffee was not ready until after 9:30. When I arrived, it was not ready, and I was approached by Jonathan who was the utmost, rude, and most disrespectful individual I have ever met. I own a business and I understand the importance of Customer Service, but Jonathan's attitude was unacceptable. When I asked Jonathan for an explanation as to why my order took so long, he rolled his eyes and he said never come back here again. This is unacceptable and I will continue to complain until somebody gives me an explanation as to why I'm being treated so poor by Jonathan, not acceptable at all. After changing management, the staff, is more personable but they are maybe a little relaxed on making the drinks. A few times I received a coffee with milk instead of oat milk. As a person whom is lactose intolerant I run the gambit of not feeling good after the coffee. As background, life-long Peets Coffee lover here (40 + years). So, try to go to Peets whenever I can. Live in SF and hubby has knee surgery in Fremont. We were 10 minutes away from this store and needed our Peets coffee to make the drive home. Called and spoke to the manager to try to get a phone order as we knew the shop closed in 12 minutes. Manager wouldn't take the order but she said, "If you get here by 7:30 pm we'll take your order and make your coffee for you." Drive like mad to get there by 7:29 pm only to be told by the 2 staff workers that the manager had already taken the register away and they are closed." Awful customer service!
