And now for my 1.200th review! This is a great location!!!! Located in a shopping center they have lots of parking and plenty of parking in front of and around this Peet's. Outside they have lots of chairs, tables and bench seating. Walking inside I noticed that the Air Conditioning felt just right. I also immediately noticed how clean it was inside the Peet's location. The inside also is pretty big for a coffee shop and they have lots of comfortable seating and tables. Our server "an older gentleman" was fantastic!! Super nice, joked around and had a genuine smile on his face. :-D he gets 10 stars and I would come back to this location just because of him! I ordered a Mocha frappe,looked beautiful, so beautiful in fact that I actually thought that the see through cup had a special Peet's design label on it. This is our go to spot for coffee. Great location, fast and quick service. Coffee is fresh and exactly what we like. This time our large dark roasts melted the cups to the point where they became misshapen in the coffee holders. The caps wouldn't fit until an hour later. It is unfortunate that the cup manufacturers are selling subpar items. I've never seen anything like this. Not good with hot coffee for sure. Still am happy with the store and their new set up. The flow of the store is more open and welcoming! read more

While Peet's Coffee is among the few more commercial coffee shops that I will go to, this particular spot probably my favorite one to relax and enjoy my morning treat when it is raining. It has wide open windows with a view outside, and a covered sidewalk terrace where one can sit at a table while rain falls just next to you. One of the nice things about coffee at Pete's is that you can be sure of a consistent good experience, they make great coffees with an excellent roasted taste, their pastries in general are standard but top notch, their cinnamon 12 coffee cake is really quite a treat, and for a coffee here I very much like their DCM (dark chocolate mocha). Very popular especially outside dog-friendly area but can be crowded. Even when crowded, Lunardi's nearby has a small uncrowded eating area and a wonderful deli. I went to the newly renovated Pete's at Los Gatos. I ordered two items and got beans.. I ordered breakfast sandwich and took a long time. There's only about three people in their place.. So I politely inquired of the manager, who is training a new employee. I think they forgot my sandwich. . She rudely said oh no it's in the queue.. It turns out it was not, and they've given my sandwich to another customer by mistake . He finally recognized my mistake and had to start an entire new sandwich for me after I waited a long time . If you want to get a sandwich in a reasonable time, do not come to this this Peets. The person who actually he's training is the manager. read more

Only giving 2 stars because the lovely barista taking orders who didn't question me when their app glitched and took my money but not my order, when she went to run it by I'm assuming her manager, who I later found out is named Vivian was VERY rude about the whole thing telling me to "contact the customer service for the app" seeing as this was the THIRD time this happened and never had any issues getting my order, miss Vivian felt the need to express her frustrations to her coworker while right in front of me sighing heavily and saying verbatim "I don't wanna deal with this right now you handle it" the wonderful check out girl who's name I forgot to get then lead me to the register, looked at my app and sent the order to the screen. Miss Vivian then proceeds to make 3 other drinks before getting to mine, to which I had to stand IN FRONT of the counter mumbling, I hear her say "it's coming next" with straight hatred and malice laced in her tone. As someone who has been in customer service over 15 years, I wouldn't care if I had a line out the door I would NEVER express my own personal feelings IN FRONT of the customer..maybe miss vivian needs more customer service training or not to work with the public because the unnecessary rudeness was MINDBLOWING. Needless to say, I won't be coming back and go to Starbucks down the street where they treat you better when their system glitches. read more

My husband wasn't really sure what he wanted and described what he was in the mood for and Stephen provided great recommendations and by the end of it, my husband is officially a Peet's fan (finally!) What I love about Peet's Coffee and Tea is the aroma of coffee beans- actually being freshly ground and brewed. This is a great spot for a hot cup of coffee and a pastry. They have an excellent selection of baked goods. The staff at this location is nine out of ten times friendly even under the most stressful circumstances when the coffee shop is packed with demanding customers. It's clean inside and everything is well stocked. I've purchased K-Cups, whole coffee beans, contigo thermal commuter tumblers, citrus bread, snicker doodles (my son loves them). Wow!! What a terrible experience . The so called manager Christine was so rude to me this morning. I showed up at 5:23 (they open at 5:30am) amd she went out of her way to be mean and hurtful. I explained that we are all going through something right now and she was even meaner. Top notch service, cashier was very friendly. Got my water imediantly and my food shortly after. The place is kept very clean and I can appreciate that as well, and the atmosphere is very calm and quiet, at least when I was there. Got the warm turkey and brie sandwich. It was delicious! Caution though, it comes out hot so wait a bit before you dig in...cause I didnt. Worth it though! After living in Los Gatos for 26 years and moving, I decided to visit. One of my morning rituals used to be going to Peet's Cafe. I have never seen more unfriendly and even rude staff. We drive past Starbucks and Phil's to get to the Peet's. As always the coffee, tea, and snacks were good. Worth the extra drive. However, this location was in bad shape today. Tables dirty, floor grimy, garbage cans full, and trash under some tables. The bathroom was really bad. Dirty, no toilet paper, and no paper towels. nada. Decided to wait. Mentioned the bathroom to the barista. Got drinks. Sat drank. Noticed nothing was done about the bathroom. As we left we mentioned the bathroom issue to another employee. This one also smiled and said "ok. Thank you." Hopefully, an employee stepped up. Maybe someone should do some random checks of this location for a while? I haven't had any urge to leave a review on here in ages, but the staff was extremely difficult and rude. To the point that even when we walked out the other customers commented to us that they have had terrible experiences with the staff. They felt the need to rip our order apart and try to charge us over $9 for one coffee drink. The lady with green hair made a scene and went to get her manager because she claimed I wanted a different drink than what I was verbalizing. Regardless, extremely rude and unnecessary policing on the staffs part at a chain/corporate coffee shop. It's always baffling to see people working at Starbucks or Peet's who feel like they own the place when in fact they are employed by a multimillion dollar corporation and customer service is valued higher than anal retentive tendencies. If you can go to a different coffee shop you should, apparently it's a known that the people who work here are very unfriendly and disrespectful. read more

Best Coffee in the South Bay Love, love, love Peet's high quality java and this location is one of the friendliest coffee shops in the whole area. The staff is so nice and will take the time to help you learn about the difference in bean or tea flavors and limited editions. Free two hours of WiFi is a new perk. There are other coffee shops in the area with sugary sweet drinks or open-mic nights (which I also enjoy) but for coffee and service this place can't be beat. I quit the coffee for a bit, but I'm back on the caffeine wagon, and a weekday regular at this location. again. it's a mostly new crew since my last review, but with a few familiar faces. ah, like the old days... hahaha. the current weekday crew is great. most of the baristas are very friendly and make a good drinks. today was an exception, but not holding that against the others. the usual guy wasn't there, and the fill-in girl didn't seem to have it together. drink was wrong, and she seemed really scattered (kept complaining to the other guy there how tired she was). still a place to avoid on weekends... my opinion. read more

I go to Peet's coffee and get the same drink all the time (almost everyday), extra hot cappuccino with oat milk. I normally go to the East Charleston location in Palo Alto and staff is wonderful and they make the best coffee. I get a cappuccino that has some foam in it. I came to Los Gatos today with my mother for a relaxing afternoon coffee and I ordered the same thing. Barista made me a latte and not a cappuccino, it was filled w milk. I asked the barista to make it less milky very nicely. She said then you want a dry cappuccino. I said I asked for a cappuccino but this is very milky then she raised her voice and said next time you need to ask for a dry cappuccino. I want to make sure she understand how she should make a cappuccino and have some foam in the drink. All of a sudden another woman came name Casey who I believe was the manager came and started with a very loud and rude voice in front of all the customers telling me that you need to order correctly next time. I'm hopping she can learn the difference between latte and cappuccino and be nice to customers next time. I also order an americano with steamed oat milk for my mom and there was no milk in her coffee but I was charged for the oat milk. By far the worst coffeeshop experience :( read more

Here's the thing: Peets coffee is OK. Better than Starbucks and McDonalds and many but not all diners; not as interesting as the craft coffee shops and roasters that you can find. So, provide service, please. I don't really understand why there is no place to just get a cup of water at Peets, but there is not. Fine. So this morning, when I ask if they can please fill my water bottle--and there are only two customers in line--I get a 'we are kind of busy now' response? Really? It's a peeve of mine about Peets--in general, the employees can get wrapped up in their own little deal, so there may be one person cleaning a counter and another fiddling with beans and another stirring this and that while there is a line of customers. I'm not saying exactly that they don't care because most times they are pretty efficient about pouring out their Joe but that does not always seem to be he priority. read more

I love Peet's Coffee, but my last 2 visits have been filled with disappointment. In all fairness, this is not a reflection of the Los Gatos store, but more from the integration with the Peet's app and what it offers. I really want to come from a place of appreciation. I ordered an ice tea, and a chocolate chip cookie using the mobile app, and selected the delivery option. The order came to my house in a timely manner, however the driver picked up the wrong order. The driver acknowledged the mistake, and went back to try to correct it. He texted me to say Peet's would not give him the rest of the order. I called Peet's to let them know that I was missing a piece of my order. They told me to talk to DoorDash. Well, throughout the whole order process, through the mobile app, I've not had any contact with DoorDash. I don't have a number, I don't have an account. What kind of follow up am I suppose to do? All for a chocolate chip cookie? The supervisor offered to give me the cookie if I came in to pick it up. What I would have liked at this point would be a refund or credit back to my account. This could not be done. So - Peets got the $$ for my order, DoorDash got the tip, and I got 1/2 my order, and to get the rest, I need to either call DoorDash and plead my chocolate chip cookie case, or take the 30 minutes to head over to Peets to pick it up (which just invalidates the delivery option). Sigh. Lesson learned. read more

This Peet's is down the street from where I work. The staff at this location is great. Super friendly! There's always crowds in here. Either catching up on a Sunday morning or holding meetings on a weekday evening. Everything is always so clean at this location. They're always stocked with LOTS of pastries and sandwiches, different choices from other locations too. My drinks typically come out fairly quickly. I think there was only one time I waited for a bit, but only because the person in front of me ordered like 5 drinks. I love that the milk, sugar, straws, etc are away from where you pick up your coffee. It's close to the door where there's plenty of room for everyone to stand around. Lots of seats- indoor and outdoor. Lots of parking. Baristas, keep up the good work! Good customer service goes a long way! read more
