Drinks and food are made fairly quick even during the rush hours. The baristas can make a few mistakes but I can't blame them with the rushes that they get. Overall this location is perfect to grab a quick pick me up or hangout and finish up some work or relax for a couple of hours. I've never seen it completely dead inside but I have seen it packed. I haven't set foot here in years, and was shocked to see its transformation when I visited last week. The place is now beautiful, warm, and cozy. This will make a wonderful work or hangout space! Only thing is, I've ordered twice here recently. The quality seems a bit inconsistent, and they don't always remember to add the whipped cream - which is odd, because it's like the only customization I made to my drink. I went here on a Friday around 1:45pm and there wasn't much of a wait. There was only one person in front of me. Anyways, it was actually my first time ordering at a Peet's location, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it's cool how spacious it is inside since there's many tables here. Ok so I ordered the White Chocolate Mocha and they were quick at making my drink. I usually order a hot white chocolate mocha whenever I go to a cafe to get coffee, but I didn't enjoy the taste of this one as much. This white chocolate mocha was more on the strong side and had less of a chocolatey sweet flavor. Basically, it's more bitter than other large coffee chains. Overall, the coffee was ok so I would only recommend this chain if you like your coffee more on the stronger side. I tend to like having my coffee more on the sweeter side, but this was also my first time trying Peet's coffee at their cafe so I didn't know what to expect and the coffee was kind of bitter. This specific location has lots of seating which is good for the people who come here to do some work or study. First I love Peets Coffee... their roasts are bold. Flavors are awesome. My favorite coffee is the Black Tie, its like a dessert for breakfast. There is enough sweet condensed milk at the botton if you do not mix it for 2 or 3 more drinks. I like my coffee barely sweet. The staff here is always friendly and quick with the service. Store is clean. Now for the bad news, I truly HATE their mobile app. Even after updating it keeps crashing. After a while of not hearing anything I look up to see a medium hot beverage and asked the cashier if it was my latte. Cashier said yes. I took it home and it turned out to be a mocha. Poor barista service and lazy part of the cashier. Don't understand why he didn't bother checking with his peers or screen to see if my drink was even made. This place is awful. I came here like 5 times, and it has been an awful experience. I ordered an iced black tie, and they are out of straws. One of the workers tries to hand me unwrapped bendable straw he found under the counter, while he is touching it with his bare hands. It was some random straw he found under the counter. How do you expect people to drink iced drinks with no straws available? Who is running this business? Last time, they told me that they were out of hot drink lids. What? Terrible service, workers were rude and not accommodating to a blind elderly lady. I asked the worker for a plastic knife and he responded with "huh?", extremely unprofessional. Elderly lady who was blind needed assistance, none of them cared to even try to help! Her total was $10.66, she gave $10, and they kept demanding the 66 cents asking her if she maybe had an extra dollar. My dad handed them his credit card to pay for whatever she wanted. There's no 10% discount you could apply to get it within her $10? She's not homeless, just old and completely blind and you're being strict about 66 cents for your regular customer?! First time at this Peets location and my experience was great! I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. It had the perfect sweetness to it and could actually taste the coffee! It's a small Peet's next to the Lucky supermarket at sloat plaza. Very easy to find parking in the morning and the staffs are sweet and welcoming. Pastries are standard and the drinks are pretty consistent in quality. Good place to get coffee if you are an early riser. read more

Aren't I lucky and not because Lucky is in this shopping center. A Peet's Coffee off Sloat Blvd, a shopping center that is hard to find parking. I was glad that they finally open a Peet's Coffee in this shopping center. I couldn't find a Peet's that was nearby San Francisco State University (this location open before they put one in Stonestown Galeria). Small but nice. Really wanted a good latte. Instead of making coffee at home , about 5:15pm on Monday 8/7 I went into this Pete's . I've been coming here for years , before the remodel. Customer service has gone down at this Pete's for sure . The latte I received was more like a cappuccino... it was terrible . I was standing there with my daughter , I just knew I was going to get a bad coffee . Just by the miserable looking face of the barista . The barista kept touching her hair and face , she looked like she hated being there .. Handed my latte with attitude .. Mind you I did not say one word to the only barista working the bar at 5:15 pm on a Monday afternoon . So , I can only assume this girl is having a bad day or has a big chip on her shoulder ..If there had been more then only 2 clerks working , I would of asked for a new Latte.. I knew that was not going to happen and I did not want said barista remaking it , she handed me what she knew was a bad coffee, it was a small cup 3 quarters full ... that's a Latte ???? , it was so bitter .. yuck . This is one of serval bad interactions I have had here . Today was the worst . I simply ordered a drink gave a tip got a cup of nasty . Never again . I go to a few Pete's around SF , no more . It is a really nice place in the area around Lakeshore Plaza on Sloat Blvd. There is no problem to find them, just on the corner. You can use a big parking lot inside the Plaza. If you read my previous review, I recommended adding more tables inside the place. And now the renovating is finally done. No more noise and ridiculous plastic instead of a wall. Now this place is absolutely amazing! First of all, there is a completely new design of the interior. They made two places (the old one and the new one) in one big area inside. It allowed them to add more sitting places of all of a kind. It is very useful (days before it was absolutely impossible to sit there or even buy a coffee in busy hours, there were too many people inside in tiny space). What is now? Do you want to drink coffee on your feet? Sure, they have got a bar stand. Do you want to eat something like a boss? Sure, now they have got soft chairs. And finally, they have got tables for more than two people. I am glad to say there no difference in service between the old and new place despite the current place is bigger now. Almost every morning I order a latte, bacon&cheddar burger and some kind of bakery. And it is always perfect! Every time the very kind crew gives me my order very fast! I love it because I hate to waste my time, especially in the morning. I insist you visit this brand new place! One more thing. Guys, please, replace the restroom door (it is old and ugly) and add the dispenser for soap! It used to be a very small Peet's cafe at the corner of the mall, but now after they expanded next door, it is now a very spacious and inviting store to go in for coffee with plenty of seating and parking outside. With all due respect to the other coffee places in the neighborhood, thank goodness Peet's finally opened up. Saturday was the preview opening and it was a huge success. You got your choice of free beverage, A ton of sugary samples, And to top things off, Korean rap sensation Psy made a guest appearance. Okay - It may have just been a professional look alike. Okay - It may have just been some stocky Asian dude with sunglasses and a Don Draper do. But it was still fun. And I still took a photo of the faux Psy and posted it on facebook. The place looks great. They redid the old Tully's and now there's a brighter and more vibrant feel to it. And it should go without saying, they brew a pretty potent cup of java. Peet's coffee is my favorite but Do not go here if you are expecting friendly people serving you coffee.

I've been getting coffee at this location, regularly, for 30 years (back when it was Spinelli's and then Tully's.) But the female employee named Gabe is so rude that I've vowed to never return. Interestingly, a neighbor of mine has sworn off this place too - because of the same employee. Fascinating how one person can have such a negative impact. It's a shame because other employees there are wonderful. But I will not be giving my money to Peet's ever again. read more
