This is a nice coffee shop next to Chipotle & Whole food market. I like the varieties of croissants, snack, salad. My favorite is matcha latte with soymilk and morning glory muffin. I've been here a few times. Small and quaint location. Staff is serving it up with . Usually, it's standing room only. Very difficult to get a seat let alone a table. Always take mine to go. I am not a coffee drinker, but I decided to go to Peet's, and the experience was great. The gentleman that assisted me today on May 10th 2023 at 11:20 AM was so kind. I told him that I wanted something sweet and strong. He recommended a vanilla latte with almond milk instead in a little bit of cinnamon. He really took his time to think about what I wanted after explaining the things that I like. He also recommended that almond croissant and it is delicious. Good standard-issue Peets. This location has been here for quite a while. It's gone through a lot of changes but still delivers on good coffee and pastries. Cold brew, espresso beverages, and blended drinks are all on point. Their pick-up game is also good and fast. Pastries are delicious, but they go fast! Indoor seating can be a little sparse, especially if families are dining in. Keeping up with the mess left by the very heavy flow of customers is also a challenge. Well I went in for their Coffee Day celebration on May 12th 1-3pm (as advertised in social media and the Mercury News), got there at 2:45pm about 20min in line, but they were very prompt and super friendly though they had scads of customers getting free drinks. Had the Javiva Chocolate & Caramel Swirl (similar to a Fra** from another place), but I must say it did taste more "real" IMHO. I do not get to this corner often but I will check them out again for sure and have a more "serious" drink. The Javiva was my reward for biking to the location, of course I probably consumed double the calories I burned. :-) read more

I never go to Peet's. It's so out of the way, and why go out of the way when there's a Starbucks around every corner? Anyway, after hoarding a gift card for months, I had some time to kill this morning so I took that drive. The inside of Peet's is pretty clean and well maintained, and I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the sugar/milk stations. I see too many coffee shops leave giant messes. The staff was upbeat and friendly, and even gave me a few recommendations since I wasn't too sure what I pick. I ended up getting a simple latte. The coffee tasted very fresh and it was quite strong for a latte, but I actually enjoyed that, since I love stronger brews. The quality itself tastes the same as any large commercial brand, but I expected that, and have no complaints. I'll definitely be back whenever I find myself in the area! read more

I live less than 10 minutes from this location, and surprisingly, have only been here a handful of times. After stopping by this weekend and receiving a delicious rich hot chocolate and moist gingerbread slice, I wonder why I don't come here more often. Honestly, I don't drink coffee, but I am a sucka for tea and hot chocolate. This plaza can get packed really quickly on the weekends, but luckily there is some overflow parking in the Office Max parking area around the corner. The coffee is pretty solid here. The service however is a hit or miss. I have had pleasant experiences in the past, however tonight was not the case. The two employees prioritized their conversation and interest in each other over providing decent customer service. This is the first time I have gotten an eye roll for asking politely to have it sightly less sweet. Nonetheless, if you can surpass the possibility of getting rude baristas, the coffee here won't disappoint you. If you don't like your coffee too sweet, you may want to ask for less sweetness for the drink with high sugar content. The hubby got the black tie, and it was a way too sweet (even for him). I will officially never go into a Peet's again. I get they focus on coffee, but I should still be able to get a semi decent Iced Tea. I'm not asking for a tea house level tea, but when it clearly doesn't look right why would you try and serve that to your customer? I picked it up and you couldn't see anything through it! It wasn't a milk tea. It was an iced black tea with light ice. I should be able to see though it. I told them I thought they might have given me an iced coffee instead of iced tea, and was told "no it just looks that way today". How hard is it to make a mocha? Apparently extremely hard because I got a latte masked as a mocha. This is the third Peet's coffee I've been to that can not make a mocha to save it's business. Peet's in Las Vegas - ordered their mocha and was disappointed at how diluted the taste of mocha and chocolate were. The whipped cream was good. I was desperate to stay awake so I tried to stomach about 1/3 before dumping it. Peet's downtown Menlo Park - I was in Menlo Park for their annual Halloween gathering for the children at Fremont Park. The mocha was basically a diluted hot chocolate milk with a hint of coffee. Whipped cream was sweet and good though. I took a couple sips, consumed all the whipped cream and dumped the rest. This location - their mocha tastes exactly like a caffe latte. Completely bitter, no chocolate whatsoever, and even the whipped cream didn't even taste like whipped cream. I think their freshly made whipped cream was missing any sweetener. I took a couple sips. Passed it around to my family members. They all agreed it was not even anywhere in the realm of a mocha. It tasted like any caffe latte. I didn't give up though. I thought maybe the chocolate was on the bottom. I stirred it profusely waiting for a miracle to happen and somehow this latte would turn into a mocha. Nope! My last resort, I went for the whipped cream (usually the only thing that remotely resembles a mocha that I can consume) and it basically tasted like whipped cream that someone forgot to add sugar to it. I didn't finish the whipped cream. I remembered at one point Peet's served great mochas. But maybe they just don't sell enough mochas to care about how it's supposed to taste! As a mocha person, the best mocha I've ever had thus far (maybe I got a great barista who actually cared about making a good mocha, instead of handing me a caffe latte with whipped cream and calling it a mocha) is from the COFFEE BEAN inside the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes. Anyone can make a caffe latte, etc. But a great barista's talent can be tested in their ability to make a mocha right! Which sadly Peet's doesn't care about ... I've tried 3 locations. Three strikes, you're out. read more

This is my favorite Peet's location! Every time I order, they get it exactly right. They are really good at making exactly what you ask for. The employees at the cashier are always friendly and happy to serve you. My favorite employees are Matt and Julia. Matt never hesitates to make you laugh, and it makes my morning start off just right. Julia always greets you with a smile on her face and makes you feel cared for and welcome in the store. I love her positive attitude and willingness to communicate. Every time I come into Peet's, I hope they are working. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the one with bacon and cheddar. It is always heated up perfectly and it tastes delicious! I love this Peet's. I always walk out with a nice iced white mocha in my hand and a huge smile on my face. read more

I didn't hear them call my name, so my iced mocha Javiva got warm while my chicken chorizo sandwich got cold (science is weird). They were BUSY AF, so people must like this location or there isn't much competition, but nonetheless the workers seemed on top of stuff and happy despite the constant stream of people. But I think they should call the name of people who didn't pick up their stuff instead of letting it sit there. (The manager contacted me to try to make things right, so I upped it from 3 to 4 stars. I ordered coffee beans and they had been sitting there for awhile as well. My parents went the day before and waited the same time. One thing that bugs me about this place is that there are so few places to sit down. :( There's this one barista who is reaaaally nice! The only descriptions I can give is that he's a tall male with long hair. Hahaha hope that helps! We had a discussion about roasting squash.. Cool guy. I tried their new Pomegranate Berry Iced Tea Infusion & it was so tasty. I forgot to tell them to sweeten it but I added the sugar myself afterwards & it made a huge difference; definitely drink it sweet.
