Bad service and coffee.. I asked for sugar and didn't get any stick for mixing. When I asked for stick - the cashier got angry on me: "Can you ask all together that I will not go back and forth?" - He said in those words. Aren't they coming together? How I suppose to mix it? So the slim drinks are OK but I guess you can't expect much for frothy low calorie blended drinks. I came here to get some studying done and it was pretty productive considering the place is a lot quieter than most Starbuck's I've been to plus they play classical music, which added to the studying atmosphere (though I wonder if that makes it a little slow and dull for the workers). You get the wifi code if you buy a drink and it only lasts for a limited amount of time though. I do love that they have a great selection of tea. I was craving an ice cold coffee treat and am trying to stay away from starbucks as their coffee is expiring on me. I drove by this location and decided to stop in. I never really liked Peet's coffee that much as their iced mochas always were on the bitter side to me. I like an equal amount of sweet and bitter(coffee) taste. The worst customer service, people are rude and disrespectful, i waited 45 min for my order while it was setting in front of the Indian barista , and when my friend ask about our coffee that sets right in front of her she yelled rudely (we will call you once it's ready) , then she started mumbling with her coworker with some races words while she's sipping her coffee and spray cleaning products all over our coffee cups, the shop was almost empty towards the closing time ,and when another customer just walked in she served him his order in minutes and kept starring at us acting like she's cleaning stuff and when I asked her again about the order she said we called many times, there's was only my order left and the place was so quite, we ended up through the coffee away since she was removing her mask to drink her coffee and it took her so long to give us our order i was not sure what she she did to my coffee. read more

I recently tried the Raspberry Mocha. I had sworn off chocolate after New Year's, but at that moment, I saw the ad for Raspberry Mocha and ordered it on a whim. I personally didn't like it, because the only Raspberry it had was a few swirls of syrup on the foam on top. The mocha wasn't well mixed either; there were dregs on the bottom. Maybe it would've tasted better if I hadn't skipped the whipped cream? I often have an internal crisis when the barista asks me if I want whip cream on top and I say "no." hahaha since I'm trying to cut calories, I should just stick with lattes. Some weekends, there might be fewer places to sit, but I always find a seat, and I stay for hours reading my Kindle. I love the location of this Peets. They always make my drinks on point. I was here yesterday in the afternoon and one of the employees need to be retrained and learn how to talk to her co workers and customers. Everytime when i come in, theres always a rude side comment with her. She puts down her co workers and lower their self esteem. Not what i like to hear as a regular customer. She always hands off the drink with no eye contact then walks away and chit chat some more. Where is the customer service? Let's try this again: Home girl at the front has zero personality skills. Short to no hair, gauges.. the typical hipster look with the "I clearly don't care about my customer service skills or my job" attitude to match. The woman at the front who took my order was really sweet, little Asian girl who was very accommodating. I brought my dog in, and granted it was 80+ degrees outside and I refuse to leave him in the car or tie him up outside when everyone is afraid of him (typical stereotype of bully breeds). I ordered my coffee and asked for whipped cream for him, and I asked if I should wait outside since I know some places are hit and miss with dogs inside (there was no sign outside saying no dogs allowed and I did ask if I should wait outside). Two people inside started making comments along the lines of "how disgusting how would you let an animal in here". I ignore them, because clearly you don't understand what it's like to own a pet and have to leave them behind. The woman who had a clear issue with us, this woman with poor communication and people skills, cut me and the woman at the front off: "ya we don't allow dogs here so you can go ahead and go outside". I said, sure, no big deal. As I had already said I would wait outside if it was an issue. So... we proceed. We go outside to wait. The Asian girl comes out as her shift was ending and said someone behind the counter would bring us out drinks. I can see inside and see them just sitting on the counter. Out of respect I decided not to go in and grab them and waited about 10 minutes to see if they would actually bring them out. Of course not. So I asked a woman who was on her way in if she would be nice enough to bring me my drink since they wouldn't allow us back inside and she did. But the woman, again, clearly had an issue with her helping me out. I had told the lady my name and my drink order and even pointed it out for her before she went inside. They refused to let her grab my drink and instead YELLED across the entire room for me to tell them my name instead of just letting the woman grab my drink and bring it to me. This location and it's employees are unprofessional and clearly don't know how to work with people. That's what happens when they hire anyone and everyone nowadays. This place has pretty good drinks--I have tried several I haven't tried before through the promotions of all things pumpkin.However, there are not enough seats that are near outlets and away from windows.Most of the tables are pretty small, too. The wi-fi is the slowest I have ever used at a coffee shop and is almost as crappy as Boulanger. Typically, it is about dial-up speed, 2-6 mbps. Once in a while it's faster for mysterious reasons, but it takes forever for stuff to load,making it hard to get stuff done quickly. That and rude people who don't know when to take their phone calls---or loud, obnoxious kids---outside. That's kind of why they have so many tables outside.When I was a kid, we often sat in the car to eat at fast food places like this.Better assortment of milks than at Starbucks, and they have honey as well. read more

The customer service of this place used to be great when it first opened. Then it was acceptable. Now the staff is downright hostile! If you are a regular of this place, the service is great. The staff will chat with you non-stop while ignoring other customers. Also, if you are a foreign born person, forget it. The staff will use every excuse not to take your order. When I stopped in this week for a Soy Latte, the cashier, Nick, literally screamed at me. He said, "No! Our milk guy is not here, so we don't have soy milk." Went in for my coffee today and the woman behind me was carrying her fluffy dog. Now, I'm a dog lover; have two actually. Her dog was definitely not a guide dog. She was carrying it! While waiting for my coffee this woman was parading the dog around the store, by the food, and hanging out near the coffee pick up counter. I asked the woman behind the counter to ask her to put the dog outside since having the dog inside the store was against the law. She then turned to a guy behind her and he did nothing. Great! Well, you asked for it buddy. I approached the woman and told her that she needed to bring the dog outside, she's breaking the law, and is being insensitive to people who have allergies. She just stood there and told me I could leave. Well fine then. I went back to the counter and approached the wuss that hadn't done anything and told him he needed to tell the woman to put her dog outside, and if he doesn't do anything then the store can be reported for violation of health code. He still didn't do anything. The woman did put her dog out, after she saw me go talk to the guy. Again, I'm a dog lover, but dogs do not belong inside an establishment. Especially one that serves food. Oh, and thanks so much Peet's staff for being supportive and handling the situation. Another great Peet's! ...right next to the new Whole Foods. In a perfect trifecta, it will be next to a new Chipotle's when it moves in. Looks like something's good in the neighborhood. I was hoping to be the first to review, since I was there on opening weekend, but oh well... It has the same Craftsman-style green, dark wood and copper outfitting that every other Peet's has, but it's pastry counter is more "artisan", meaning less big glass box and more point to the plate that your scone is resting. My sister and I had a nice tea and raspberry mocha break that upped our caffeine levels and perked us right along. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Best of all, after our beverage break, we popped into the Whole Foods and got something to take home. I know I will be back at this Peets! (When will Peet's ever sell k-cups?!) read more

People need to understand that everyone makes mistakes and to leave a negative review about your 1 stop here out of 50 was bad because of a straw or broke machine is unfair. By far the roomiest, cleanest, fancy-pantsiest Peet's I've been to. The selection of baked goods is great, staff is super friendly, and I love that you can help yourself to simple syrup or honey, rather than having to bear with unmelted sugar crystals in any of your iced drinks. Big minus - only one hour of free WiFi per drink. What. The. Freddo. I understand the rationale behind this - it's kind of smart, actually - and wanting to stop people from mooching your wireless 6 hours at a time. But it's a little contradictory to have couches, and outlets, and make it all welcoming to net-surfers, then make us buy a drink for every hour we want to use WiFi. I haven't had to use it (yet), but your bathroom better be amazingly large. read more

I go to this Peet's almost daily. Every single visit I have always had prompt, friendly, accurate service. I have never had an incorrect or bad tasting beverage. As Peet's goes, this is one of the best locations I've visited. Did I mention friendly? The staff is always extra friendly and many know me and my daughter by first name and greet me as if they know me. I am particularly thrilled that this location is now open as this area has sorely needed a Peet's for a very long time. I believe most of the whining is related to the first week or two of them being open. If you can't tolerate a less than impeccable service, don't visit a food/drink establishment right when they first open and have yet to work the kinks out. But it has been open a few months now and they're running top notch as far as I am concerned. Peet's in general. Speaking of coffee only (I never have tea) their bean roasts are very strong. If you like a milder coffee flavor, this may not be the place for you. This is place if you like to taste coffee and not just a sweet sugary drink with the intent of hiding the taste of coffee. For example a Mocha at Peet's is well balanced flavor of espresso and chocolate (great dark chocolate by the way,) not a big chocolate candy bar intent on hiding the taste of coffee. read more

I really enjoyed my coffee that I got from Peets. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, (usually 1 a week or less) but I ventured out of my Starbucks comfort zone and tried Peets today. I have to say their raspberry mocha was great. Unlike my pepermint mocha that I like at Starbucks it was served at a decent temperature that didn't burn my mouth. Been customer of peets for several years. I had a complementary drink card giving to me . I don't come to this peets often but I expect the same service everywhere I go. I gave the barista my order. After he captured my order. I gave him my complementary card and to my surprise i was charged $2.55 for God knows what. I was in such a rush that I left with out requesting an explanation of the charges. Im very disappointed, so disappointed that I'm taking my business elsewhere. Word of advice, don't give out customers complementary cards if there are hidden costs associated with it. I try to give it no stars but yelp won't let me.... read more
