Peet's tea is so much better than Starbuck's. Peet's bagged tea isn't the best, but still superior to Starbuck's Tazo but I really enjoy having a pot of the loose leaf tea at Peet's. I especially like the Jasmine Downy Pearls green tea. I bought a tin of it to seep at home and it's kept fresh for several months now and saved me a lot of money in tea. The matcha freddo tastes better than the Starbucks and Jamba juice versions. Mmmmm, guilty pleasure. I didn't really care for their hot chocolate... It's supposed to be really good, I don't know, I guess drinking chocolate has ruined regular hot chocolate for me. read more

Cashiers always so polite and so nice. I love making small conversations with them every time I stop by. But the guy (old, long hair, and unhappy face guy with Beret hat) who makes coffee tho. Really. I've never seen him smiling, or so rude. I mean, why work there if he even doesn't enjoy what he is doing? He's been there for a long time so he must be okay, but really. Great coffee. Great service, albeit a little slow. Only drawback is that parking can be a pain. There are only a few spots in front of it. If you're shopping at Bridgeport, it's great. If you want to stop by for a quick coffee.... might be circling for parking for a while, and when you find a spot, most often than not, you're going to be walking a ways. read more

Ok, so it's Peet's. The general book on this company is that they are more elitist than Starbucks, but follow the exact same model...so, I begrudgingly go here because the product is generally very, very good. I was going to only give 4 stars because I'm predisposed to not like chains...but then I thought that wouldn't be fair because I made the choice to go in here instead of a local place. And it's true that it's as close to the quality of a local coffee shop as you can get in a chain. This particular location was busy this day. It was the first legitimately chilly day of late-summer 2013 and that meant everyone wanted a hot coffee or tea. All the tables were full and there was a bustling line. The staff were up to the task and were even super friendly about it! I had a Yelp check-in offer and she marked it down cheerily and took our order...made me feel glad I went in. The music that was on was awesome. There was a line waiting for drinks and the baristas were cranking them out and calling them without missing a beat. We waited a grand total of about 4 minutes from order to drink and were on our way. Couldn't have been a better experience (well maybe if the Miles Davis on the speakers was actually there playing live...but I don't think that's happening anytime soon.) read more

I've never been to a Peets before- maybe because they're a chain and I like more mom and pops places- but I met a friend there and brought a kid each. Usually at coffee shops there's a selection of juices or chocolate milk and cookies! What about the cookies? Nothing kid friendly at all. Very disappointing because the pumpkin chai tea actually was pretty good. Good for adults, not kid friendly. read more

Sitting here in Peets in a verifiable downpour, slowly sipping my caramel-flavored decaf and enjoying the music that they're playing currently (classical with hints of harpsichord). One thing that makes me feel as though I stand out like Steve Urkel amongst a room filled with Cosmo bachelors...I am on a Dell. And not just any Dell, an old (well, couple years...) Dell. Here I sit among all the shiny-happy Apples with the occasional Jobs-o-phile sneaking looks at my poor Dell, probably assuming it is virus-ridden and somehow *unclean*. But, I totally digress (and I like my Dell, BTW). Not much to be said about reviewing a Peets, other than the usual: it is solid, a great place to grab a good cup of joe and hang out on the Interwebs for an hour. Recommended! read more

The staff at this location are always friendly without being overbearing--and they're as good at energizing your day as the caffeine they peddle. I have a Peet's and two Starbucks (one in Barnes & Nobles) within walking distance, but I usually opt for Peet's because of the friendly atmosphere. If the seating area were twice as big, I'd probably go for five stars, because sometimes I aim to meet someone here for a quick business chat and the location's popularity means that seating can be tight. The free wi-fi definitely makes this a good place to meet for professionals. When I've used the location for bulk coffee and pastries, the staff was both prompt and helpful with deciding on how best to choose the selections. read more

It's corporate coffee chains like Peet's that make me wonder, why do people still go to Starbucks? I mean, I work at a Starbucks for Peet's sake, so you'd think I'd be partial to the Green Giant, but I will actually forgo my 30% employee discount at Starbucks to get my coffee across the street at Peet's. The employees at this Peet's are cool. They're not fake, or rude or annoying and are good at moving people in and out quickly without making you feel like herded cattle. I also like being able to watch the barista make my drink, not because I want to make sure they're doing it right and not stirring it with their finger or anything, but because I like that personal touch of being able to see the work that goes into making my drink. I think I can appreciate my coffee more that way. read more

My favorite peet's coffee location. Very friendly baristas. Its also never too crowded. They have a new cold brew with nitro foam n sugar latte. I substituted the milk with new coconut milk which tasted even better. They have pretty good pastries here too. read more

Although it can often be colder inside this Peet's on a winter day than outside, this shop has great customer service, the most exceptional (of the chain coffee industry) blends, and it falls in the heart of the romantic Bridgeport Village. I love Peet's because they cater to my french press loving ways and coarse grind the coffee beans. I am pretty picky about my brew, if I was getting a latte I would be less pressed to seek out perfection. Many blends have passed through the tiny strainer in my press and I push down the plunger hoping for a smooth, bold but never bitter cup of coffee. I think i've had every brand in the grocery store, the majority of whats offered by Starbucks and a few by Stumptown too. Peet's is hands down my favorite. Day to day I go for the house blend but on special occasions I go for a quarter pound of the Arabian Mocha Sanani. When I ask questions, the baristas are alway specific and knowledgable. I also love that I am treated to a small coffee of my choice when I pop in to re-stock on grounds. Thanks to Peet's, I will never have to endure the generic office blend that I would otherwise be consuming at work. read more

I always stop in early in the morning before work, and no lie, my day is ALWAYS made by coming here. The workers are always so kind and cheerful and it brightens my day so much. The environment is lovely and there is a lot of great space so that people can do whatever they need, whether it is chatting with friends or getting some work done. My usual hazelnut latte is done in great time and it's always delicious! It's a great escape from your everyday Starbucks. read more

I heart Peet's in the overall, and would give the chain four stars, but this location only gets three, for a few reasons. First of all, the counter area is all jammed up. It's like they've intentionally erected a barrier to access with display stands holding various products. Then, there's junk all over the counter, too. Last, the lines are confusing. Shouldn't the place to order be closest to the door? Then you would move left for your beans or drink or whatever. I wasn't the only person who was slightly befuddled by the order line being in the middle (you go left to pick up drinks, and right for beans, but what if your order a drink and beans? Agh!). I think they need a feng shui expert to come in and straighten them out. Otherwise, this is a good place to get an excellent cup of coffee or tea. I'd rank it at the bottom of the four Peet's I frequent, though, with the Hawthorne spot being my fave. read more

They make great mochas!!! They use super dark chocolate and they are not sweet so you can customize it, unlike at other coffee places. I have recently tried their Mayan chocolate mochas and am a big fan. Their coffee is a little more expensive but worth it, and worth the drive to find it......I choose Peet's every time, if it is available! read more

I really wish Peet's would come to Eugene. Coffee is way better then Starbucks and I always stop when I am in Portland. My two negatives have to do with the Bridegport location in Portland. One time the staff closed 5 minutes before actual closing and I was unable to order my drink. Another time the woman taking our bean order tried to pass off regular beans as espresso beans. She was to lazy to go in the back and get our beans. We did end up with the beans we wanted after calling her on it. read more

Although I really like their coffee, there are things about Peet's that I do not like. They charge $1.00 for refills (Starbucks is free for green and gold members), they have no mobile app that allows you to purchase items and receive free drinks (Starbucks has a great app). I've been around a lot of coffee shops over the years but this Peet's beats them all hands down. The first time I walked in the door, I noticed the staff smiling and talking to each other. It was only after awhile that I realized that they really get along with each other. So the obvious question is: why do I bring this up? Easy. Excellent coffee. However, The management of this particular location needs to train to train the staff at the register to be cordial to customers, and they need to improve their level of cleanliness. I am a regular at the Peets in downtown Lake Oswego because the customer service there is outstanding(super friendly) and the place is spotless. Tonight I had to do some shopping at Bridgeport Village in Tigard, so stopped in for a latte at the Bridgeport Peets. The person who took my order(a young redheaded girl) was dismissive and rude. The place was also dirty. Closing time wasn't for another two hours and customers were still coming in, so the place should have been cleaner. Please note that the young man who made my drink was very nice. Even so, whoever manages this coffee shop needs to understand that the impression made at the register is important if they want to form relationships with new customers. I am not going to give my business to this Peet's again. That's too bad because they are losing a potential good customer...and I am going to encourage my friends to stick with the Peet's in downtown Lake Oswego. read more
